It would be just another normal day for Ami. She got up at her usual time and got ready in thirty minutes. Walking out the door, a piece of toast in her mouth, she waved goodbye to her mother and father and left, closing the door behind her.

The walk to school was always hef favorite. The views she'd see were never tiring and she was always passing by the pet shop which she loves looking through the window too, seeing all the little cats and dogs in it. "I want a pet.." She murmured, thinking about cute puppies running around in her head.

A good twenty minutes later, she reached the school gate, clusters of students scatter the area. "Ami! Hi!" "Hi Ami!" "Hello Ami!" "Ami! Ami! Good morning!" Were only a few of the greetings she received as she walked by the students greeting them back and smiling at the. She managed to enter the building unscathed by the students around her. She walked on over to her shoe rack and had a change of shoes. She then began walking to her classroom, chatter could be heard everywhere.

She entered her classroom and smiled and greeted everyone and took her seat, which lied beside the window. Setting her things down, she sat and looked out the window, staring out to the students who were still out there enjoying themselves.

Jono (long name Jonathan, but only the teacher called him that) was sitting just in front of Ami, early to school. Not that anyone noticed. Jono had chosen to have a low presence, since it meant not receiving any unwanted attention. He looked out to the sky, regarding the various tones in the colour.

What no one knew was that Jono was an accomplished Krav Maga martial artist, who while he lived in the UK had been frequently using on the streets. It was brutal where he lived, so his body is riddled with scars. However as his face, neck and hands are not scarred no one would know unless for some reason he decided to strip down, which was not something he did. Krav Maga was after all a Israeli fighting art made to use in real life combat on the battlefield.

He had only been here for a month, but since he made no effort to socialise, seeing it a waste of breath, no one noticed him, even if he was 6ft. He would prefer to keep it that way too, it meant less trouble for him to possibly deal with.

Ami's thinking was cut off by the sudden shaking of herself. She turned to look at her friends who were standing in front of her, laughing. "Hey guys!" She yelled, laughing at their demeanor. "What's shaking?" She asked, knowing she did a bad pun. "Not much, just wanted to see what you were staring at. A hot guy maybe?" One of her friends said, giggling. Ami felt the blood rush to her cheeks and looked away, evidently in the direction of Jonathan. "N-no! There's no hot guy!" She yelled, still facing him.

Jono ignored the ruckus behind him, having no clue it was directed at him either. He wondered who she was actually acting flustered over, but decided not to chase it. Ami was the popular girl of the group, the one everyone wanted the attention of or was their role model. Well, except him. He cared little about trying to emulate others and even if he were to attempt to interact with her, Ami's popularity is almost like a shield that protects her from any possible such. Especially from a loner like him.

Jono sighed and scribbled notes for work down.

Ami's constant chatter with her friends were interrupted by the teacher coming in, resulting in her friends leaving the room since they were in different classes. "Good morning everyone! Hope all of you are ready for today's lecture! A quiz will be given after!" The teacher's voice boomed scross the entire room, earning groans and moans from the students. Ami didn't mind, she was used to her teacher's way of teaching and opted to look out the window. She sighed an audible sigh and looked back to the front, beginning to scribble down the lecture in her notebook.

Jonathan remained silent and began taking notes during the lecture. He wasn't top class, but he was above average. Somewhere where people would pay no attention to him, as he wasn't extraordinary nor failing. In many ways, he was like a ninja at just about everything. However, he wasn't one. what he was is diligently working away.

The quiz itself was reasonably simple too so he coasted through it with relative easy. It did help he was paying attention. The sound of some who were in frustration from not having studied the lecture properly was amusing though.

When he had done he leaned back and looked outside again. Maybe his walk home would be more interesting today.

(Preparing for the rendevous where he saves her)

As Ami finished her test, she let out a triumphant sigh. She managed to pass it, which came as a surprise, since she wasn't paying attention awhile ago. The day passed by quickly and it was already time to go home. She started packing her things when her friends showed up again. "Hey Ami! Let's go out and go to the mall or something! We need some girl time!" One of the girls cried out, all of them looking so happy and excited. Ami in turn, looked apologetically at them. "Sorry guys.. I need to help mom with something." She said, bowing down slightly. "Maybe on Saturday we could all go out?" She asked, hoping to please them. They all smiled and nodded yes, then began to scurry off, making plans for Saturday.

Ami left the classroom and was out of the school buildings in twenty minutes. She always loved walking home, it was somewhat soothing, seeing all the kids run to their homes and into their parents' embrace. It was a heartwarming sight really. She kept walking, not noticing that a couple of guys had been staring at her the whole time.

Jonathan happened to be walking a similar route to Ami, but didn't pay any attention to her. He was a good few meters behind and unknowingly lived quite close to her. He walked with his bag slung over his shoulder, not paying much attention to anything. After all, nothing much these days caught his attention. There was nothing else to his life except for his Krav Maga blackbelt. He didn't have any particular life goals and his family weren't hugely concerned for him either.

As he walked he noticed the group of males tailing Ami, but didn't make much of it as nothing was happening of interest. He kept a close eye though, as it was something that did catch his attention. He wondered what they could be doing, seeing any point in their tailing of her.

Ami paid no mind to the wolf whistles she received from the men behind her, thinking it was directed to some other girl. Turning another corner, she was immediately pushed to the wall. She let out a small yelp as she was surrounded by four big men, her bag falling to the floor. "W-what do you w-want from m-me.." She murmured, her whole body quivering in fright. Each of them gave an evil and creepy grin as they began to pull at her clothes.

Ami tried fighting back, but the strength of only one of them was no match for her, let alone all four of them. She began kicking and pushing her attackers back, screaming for help. She was scared. She just wanted this nightmare to end.

Good thing I kept a close eye.

"
Afternoon folks."

Jono walked behind the men and placed a hand on two heads, then with strength unbecoming of his size slammed them together, then ia fluid movement, brought the hands between them and flung them to the flood behind them.

Wasting no time, Jono side stepped at high speed with an elbow into the kidney of another attacker, then brought from there an arm around into a grapple, from which he flung the man from. He may not be the strongest, but his ridiculous grip strength and vast training in manipulating body movement weight and body made their large frames a piece of cake. The man spun around his body before flying into the wall.

The 4th attacker by now had noticed Jono's onslaught, but was still no match. The burly man came for two consecutive punches, but they were of no avail. Jonathan slipped to the mans left side from a punch, running alongside the arm. He then grappled the mans waist and sent his right leg sweeping into his legs, which had them spinning like a clock until Jono halted the movement with a right knee into the mans as his spun round into the floor, halting his sudden movement and crashing to the floor.

Jono brushed his hands, his knee feeling sore from having to stop the movement of such a large man. Thex were all lying unconscious and possibly bleeding on the floor, but it didn't concern him.

"Good grief, boys these days. So uncouth for their age. If they are going to threaten people, they may as well go and learn a thing or two about fighting like proper men." His British accent was clear, having only recently moved here. He offered a hand to help Ami up from the ground after.

Ami was still shaking when she saw what had happened to the four men. She was more surprised to find Jonathan executing each move. She looked up after a few moments and saw that he held his hand out to her. She slowly took it, afraid that she might get hurt aswell.

Getting to her feet, she clutched at her clothes that were tattered and torn. Tears had fallen from her eyes and she tried wiping them away with the back of her sleeve— or what was left of it. She looked to him and managed a small smile to appear. "T-thank you.." She said, not noticing that she was still holding Jono's hand.

Jonathan looked her over. She was not in a great state, though luckily it was mostly her top half tattered. He offered his shirt for cover over the tattered clothing, unbuttoning it and handing it to her. His body was clear with all its scars he bore from fighting and his lean muscle fighting build was very clear.

"Here you go."

He then put on his sleeveless he usually used for training over him, as he definitely didn't wear his school shirt for training. It was a standard blue shirt with breathable material, intended for exercise. Deciding on courses of action he thought.

"Want me to walk you home? You seem more than a little shaken up."

She accepted his shirt and buttoned it up. It was quite big for her, as the sleeves were past her hands. She started flailing them around, the sleeves following her movements. She smiled a bit, thinking that what she was doing was cute, she then realized that someone else was watching her. She looked to Joni and a blush appeared on her face. She quickly looked down to the ground and took her bag, as a cover up.

"I- I'll be fine.. Ish.." She murmured when he offered to bring her home. She had caused him enough trouble, she didn't want to add any more. "T-thank you again.." She added, trying to avoid his gaze.

"You look like a mouse could hurt you."

He started walking home anyway, seeing as she said she didn't want him with her. After walking a while though he noticed that Ami was close behind him. What he didn't realise was that he lived only a few doors away from where she lived as they set off at different times, so as he walked he swivelled around from where he walked and spoke.

"You seem to mean different, as you are walking the same way as me. Unless there is something you haven't told me, in which case go ahead."

"I- I.. My house is this way.." She murmured, following behind Jono. "A-and I hate mice.." She added, replying to Jono's first statement. She continued to walk behind him, walking closer to his side.

She instinctively clutched at his shirt. "C-can I.. Walk closer..?" She whispered, her hand still shaking. "I- I'm scared.." She added, her grip on his shirt somewhat tightening. She felt safe around Jono, and she needed to feel safe.

"Umm...sure."

He wasn't quite sure how to react, this kind of thing being all very new to him. Everyone thought he was cold, but that's mostly because people ignored him and didn't give any concern for him, so he never returned it.

They walked on, Ami holding on to him and sharing his body heat. The few looks he got he ignored and walked on. They began approaching their house when he asked "So....you going to yours? I...have space in my room to have people."

He cursed his lack of social skills. This was definitely not his forte but he couldn't help it. Who was he to blame?

Ami didn't take notice of the stares they received as they walked by. They walked for a couple more minutes when Jono asked her a question. She looked to him and gave a small smile. "I'll be ok.. Don't worry.." She said, letting go of his shirt. "I- I'll give you back your shirt tomorrow.." She murmured to him, remembering that she still had his shirt on.

'Ok.. Awkward moment..' She thought to herself, trying to think of something else to say. Then, an idea popped into her head. "W-would you like to eat here..? It's the least I could do to repay you." She told him with a smile.

He raised an eyebrow. That was sure the first time someone asked him that. It seemed appropriate to respond in kind after such a question, so he turned on the spot and faced her. And gave the slightest of smiles.

"I'll take up that offer then and await for you to lead the way." He was interested to see how it would turn out, seeing as it would be the first time he would eat at someone elses house aside from his family's.

Ami suddenly grabbed Jono's hand and pulled him into her home. Letting go of his hand once inside, she closed the door behind them and gestured him to sit down. "Make yourself at home." she said, a full fledged smile on her face. She loved cooking, specially if she was cooking for others. She made her way to the open kitchen and began taking out ingredients for her- their dinner.

Chopping carrots here, throwing onions in a pan there, she moved around the kitchen with ease and grace. She was making her famous steak with mushroom sauce and a side of grilled vegetables with mashed potatoes and gravy. The smell that travelled around and outside the house was enough to make a man on a full stomach hungry. She looked to Jono and smiled. "You ok over there?" she called out to him.

He was slightly dazed at being suddenly dragged in, but said nothing. For now he sat in the house waiting on the food, sitting on a sofa in the living room.

The smell from the kitchen was like a perfect smell to come from it. Food that beckoned your stomach to come to eat it. He heard the question come from the kitchen as he waited.

"Yes I'm fine."

After a few more minutes, dinner was finally ready. She smiled as she placed the food on the table, placing them between two empty plated for the both of them. Walking over to the fridge, she got out a pitcher of iced tea and a pitcher of water as well. She placed them on the table along with two glasses for them both.

She looked over to Jono and smiled. Creeping over slowly, she placed both her hands on his shoulders. "Boo!" She cried out, a hearty smile on her face.

Jono instinctively shot his hand up to her neck, but prematurely stopped short of throat punching her.

"Ah, sorry. Instinct."

He chuckled slightly, if a bit darkly and moved to where the table was.

"This looks nice."

He waited politely for her to sit down for the food as well before starting to eat. It was only common courtesy after all. Didn't help his parents were complete advocates of good manners of every sort.

Tapatalk is being used for this post.

"What a reflex." She chuckled lightly. Walking back to the table, Ami smiled and sat down across from Jono. She looked back up at him and smiled. "Well, I hope you enjoy my cooking.." she murmured, nervous at Jono's soon reaction to her food.

She started placing the food on her plate and took a bite, not looking at Jono. The sudden nervousness she was feeling was weird. Why she was nervous she didn't know.

Jono calmly took the knife and fork and began eating in what would to most appear a sophisticated manner. Again, blame his parents for it becoming a habit of him to eat as such. He would be delicate with the cutting and eating of the food.

And true to her word, he did enjoy it. He smiled slightly as he ate, savouring the taste. He didn't question her silence, since it was common at his dining table not to speak during eating anyway. It was sometimes for some weirdly chilling, but he became used to it.
