Who/what/where is Gaia

Gaia is mentioned in the core book and as I see it she/he is as powerful as the Unqoncured Sun or Luna.  Also it is mentioned that she/he doesn't exalt anyone (or at least didn't at the beginning).  What I would like to know, and sorry if I post this in the wrong place, does anyone have any more info about Gaia.  Is she/he a spirit like US or Luna or a solid creature that is Creation?  And if she/he is a spirit, does she/he live in Yu-Shan or somewhere else?  Just few questions I would like to get understanding of.

Gaia is a Primordial. One of the two which isn't imprisoned or dead. She plays the Games of Divinity with the gods in Yu-Shan and shags Luna rotten.

Gaia is pictured in Games of Divinity on page 4.  She's the one on the bottom row to the left (with Luna sitting on her lap).

As she is the only Primordial in Creation, she is the most powerful of all entities.  And just because she didn't create Exalts for the Primordial War doesn't mean that she can't do so if she needs to.  After all, if Autochthon can do it, why can't she?  It's not like she wouldn't be paying attention when he taught the Gods to do so.

That's debatable.

if Autochthon can do it' date=' why can't she?[/quote']
Because Autochthon's the Great Maker, who invented Exaltation. Nobody else was ingenious enough. If someone shows Gaia how, I'm sure she could do it. And she does have plenty of compadres who could tell her how... if they' weren't all on GoD crack.

But then, aren't the five elemental dragons her third-circle souls? Are they? I don't know. If so, she's already got thousands of exalted.

According to the Autocthonians book, they are.

I thought it was the other way around.
No, it's Gaia with Luna in boytoy form sitting in her lap.
My bad. I was misremembering the picture. In my head, the boy toy was sitting with a woman in his lap.

which is odd,  for the lame and crippled Autchthon's weakest soul should be stronger then Gaia strongest.

But maybe that could be explained away as Neph boostering his creations.

Sorry to jack the Thread briefly, but who is Neph?  I've read the name on several threads, and I'm assuming that he is staff at White Wolf.  Any help?

Nephipal is Michael Goodwin a freelancer for White Wolf.

He's written the Abyssal Charms, the merits and flaws, the godblooded, the Mountain Folk chapter, and big chunks of the Autochthonian crunch, and a few other things I'm forgetting

Damn straight. He's the smoke-belching, furnace-driven bulldozer to her meadow full of wildflowers and frolicking chipmunks.

Page reference, please?
Argh. Damn these poorly indexed, haphazardly organized books! I can't find it, but I'm fairly sure I did read it here.

the section on Autochthons souls

pg163 in the first full paragraph of the page entitled Subgods.

Think of it this way, you are walking on Gaia whenever you play a game in Creation, the sky, the ground, the trees, the animals. ALL OF IT, is Gaia, just know that and you'll understand the scope of Primordials.

except it isn't.   Creation is, well a creation of Gaia and Cytheria.  Nothing except a few contradictory remarks in the non-canon Alchemical adventures suggest that Gaia IS creation.

These two are not mutually exclusive; Creation can be both a creation of Gaia and Cytheria and a part of Gaia. These are, after all, Primordials. Recall that they are patterns too vast and complex for the Wyld to reabsorb, all exist in multiple places at once and are basically just beyond mortal comprehension. Malfeas, for example, is so big that Malfeas is dwarfed by Malfeas (GoD: 86).

Basically, with respect to Primordials, I usually assume that if it doesn't make sense, it's probably correct.

That's the way I've always looked at it. So, in part, anything you dream up in human reason can be true about the Primordials. You have to think beyond JUST what they give you in the books. Seriously, you expect vast, unimaginable beings to simply be outlined and never mentioned what they can truly be or look like in a simple book? As what role playing is meant for, use your imagination.

I've always ruled Gaia is Creation, she is the elementals, she has the greater and the Five Elemental Dragons as her souls, I mean come on, it screams that she and Cytheria are, and are part of Creation, plus existing where ever else they may be.
