When the Wyld Hunt attacks...

I was under the impression that Lookshy has just as negative a view of Solars as most Dynastic Dragon-Blooded do. So even if they're fighting the Realm, Solars are still a no-no. From what I remember, whilst their version of the Immaculate Faith is different from the Realm's, they are still taught that Anathema are demon-spawn......
My impression was the the dominant political faction in Lookshy (I can't remember the name) had a live and let live policy.  They might not employ Solars in the military, but trading with them would be okay.  Even demons have their uses.

One Solar in an army might not make a big as impact as one trading them Wyld Shaped components to keep their Shogunate-Era factories, or having a Solar using TWT to rapidly train a bunch of raw recruits into elite soldiers.

according to the outcaste book the Looksgy position is that any Anathema who threatens Lookshy will be dealt with... otherwise they are not persecuted in any way

A solar could get into the Lookshy military,m although I suspect they would face the same glass ceiling as mortals

I tend to play the entirety of the Scavenger Lands as a safe zone for the Solars.  If the Solar doesn't cause trouble, they aren't messed with, except in Great Forks, where there is a bit more Realm presence, and they have to tow the line or get a DB enema.

I seriously doubt they'd openly employ solars in their military.

they might give solars mercenary missions, and trade with them, but I think that if a lookshy native exalted as a solar... they'd find some polite excuse to give them an honorable discharge, then give them a hefty severance pay.

Still its POSSIBLE.

Even if the people making this decision dont beleive the solars are demons, the fact that some of lookshys other natives, and the realm DO is enough, for them to not encourage open solars to hang around lookshy.

Killing only reincarnates them, therefore what should be done is what was done to the Yozi... enslavement (a pity this won't work out in the long run). ^_^

like what?

the fact that the moment some idiotic lookshy general trys using a slave collar on a Solar a multi solar Coalition will get together to free, or kill the solar in question.     oh and hideously kill the general in question.

Since when have all solar's been psychic, or actually care for every other solar?
"If it can happen to him, it could happen to me" is a strong motivation to stop that shit.  And people will sooner or later find out about a Solar in the service of Lookshy.

The Haku was not talking about Lookshy, rather the Realm.

The attitude of the Immaculate Order and thus the Realm (Haku believes) with regards the demons can be found on page 77 of the exalted book "Sex & Sorceress".

To the Immaculates, demons are a chaotic force that worked great harm against the world before the Five Immaculate Dragons bound them into servitude. Their slavery is payment for their crimes - not to the Exalted, but to the world. So long as their chaotic nature is properly bound, they may labor to contribute to Creation. Thus, the Immaculate Order has no direct issue with demon summoning - but it is one of the greatest tests of a soul, and only the Dragon-Blooded are worthy of attempting it. Mortal thaumaturges who call forth demons stand at risk of becoming Anathema, and even the Dynasts can fall to demonic temptation.
That statement oddly could be twisted to apply to 'tamed' anathema in the Immaculate Order's eyes.

PLausibly...

but I think that after the 3rd case that Some agent came in to ruthlessly punish the slave collar using bastard they'd become exceedingly cautious about doing such a thing.

Another issue something I just realized.

Lookshy might not openly employ solars in their military... but what if they were to secretly start doing business with a twilight craftsmen, they have the infrastructure... he has the Wyld caudron Technology to craft components.

and what he'd need to be paid in is pretty up fron, either jade, or a percentage of completed artifacts.

It would take a lot of unilateral thinking, but if it happened the devolution of capablity would stop within months.

Um, it's been hinted at already m'boy. But it doesn't matter. Lookshy's fate is sealed. Period. Read the new Scavenger Lands book. The Solars have no effect on Fate and the Siddies can never touch it without stepping on Mars' feet. I hate to tell you, Lookshy's days are quite literally numbered.

Yep, read about the city god's in the back of the book, the younger one, Tu Yu, Lookshy's fate is tied to her.

No, you see, I lack the book and was asking for an explanation.

Well the Maiden of Battles has placed two seals of Destiny upon Lookshy, so that it may never be tampered with by the Sidereals. And they mark her final days as well. Fate works against as well as protects Lookshy. Her days quite literally, are numbered. Some of Tien Yu's charms (the goddess of Lookshy, second to her Father, Tu Yu, the city father) literally take days off Lookshy's days.

The pattern spiders have already woven Lookshy's fall. And Tien Yu has a charm called the Lance of the Fallen Era, each DIE before damage takes a day off of Lookshy's fate. So she uses her charms sparingly.

When it comes...who knows what will happen. It's intriguing to be sure. Btw, if Eclipse or Moonshadow Castes learn those Charms...and use 'em...they have the same effect. They take days off that Lookshy can't afford.

Of course, if you want Looksky to fall, use the charm as much as you want.  Just be ready to take over in the power vacuum once they drop off and keel over.

Well, as to the "Solars have no effect on Fate" comment: Sure they do. They disrupt it every time they use Essence. Conversely, Fate has no effects on the Yozi, the Fae, or the Neverborn.

There are plenty of wildcards. Fate, ironically, isn't inevitable.

Something I've wondered; is Gaia outside Fate? All of the other primoridals seem to be, but on the other hand, as the Loom governs what is essentially her body, maybe she's the only primordial that is affected by Fate.

I don't see her being governed by the Loom, so much as the Loom is a part of her. See Autochthon and the Design for comparison.

Best part about the whole setting

incidentally at the rate my players use their solar charms and sorceries... fate is fucking volatile

Hmm, I guess I'm the only who lets the hammer fall on his players like a meteor when they fuck with Fate. Solars getting a pattern bite? Yes, it's happened.

well if you gonna rule that, new rule for you EVERYONE gets one paradox whenever they use a charm as ALL charms FUCK WITH FATE

Agreed. All Essence use, PERIOD, fucks with Fate.

Is there a reason you're getting bitchy and cap-typing for no reason? I feel the same sentiment could be made true by just...being civilized instead of a whiny little forum child?
