What goes bump in the night

Geist had to stop himself from smiling as the odd man entered. Geist new all about these new recruits having done most of the recon on them himself. This one had an ability he'd never even heard of before. As the man spoke Geist didn't bother to move, he would bide his time.

Tiki looked at the blood on the ground. "Kinda hardcore to add fake blood onto a fake tail, isn't it?" Watching NemNem walking into a building, Tiki quickly ran after her.

".....oh for moonbeams' sake....please.....stop following me!" She stopped when she saw the cat on the desk. "....okay can this get any weirder?"

Muerte turned as the two entered the building, narrowing his eyes slightly at the both of them. The one with the cat-features seemed tense, like a coil wound up too tightly that would snap as soon as you messed with it. The other . . . was what many would affectionately refer to as an "airhead". He preferred to simply call them stupid. He turned his head quickly and avoided eye contact with either of them

"I assume you two are here for the same reason I am."

Tiki looks around the room NemNem is in, seeing a cat too. "Man, you have a cat friend too? No wonder you dress up like one." Tiki start speaking to the cat "Who's a good kitty, yes you are!". Pulling out some treats from her bag, Tiki walks up to the cat.

Geist decided it was time to move. He stretched and yowled out a cat yawn. He was a solid black cat with emerald eyes . He licked his chops and eagerly ate up the treats that the young woman offered. "MROWR!!" he mowed loudly keeping up the charade and observing them.

"Take it easy priateľ, we were taken up by this group, who by their facilities seem to deal with the supernatural. Kind of like we did." Vojta said softly, trying not to cause an echo. "You're weak from your loss of blood, and the uh...the loss of your arm protecting me." He looks slightly downcast. "If I hadn't of been out of position, you would still be fine, and we would be back hunting that witch." He sighs. "The commander, or at least head of this operation, seems nice enough, though I haven't been in much of the mood for talking to him. He wanted to speak with both of us when you got up, which if you have the energy would be now." Vojta puts Adrian's arm over his and starts to shuffle down the hall. "I haven't been looking around much, but this is certainly high tech, more so than back home. Let's see if we can't find this 'Shepard' and get some answers."

"Wait!"

From behind the two russians, a small voice came down the hall. There was a young-looking woman behind them, with striking black hair and pale skin. She was fairly short, and her ears tapered off to fine points.

"Commander Shepard's on his way down, you shouldn't be up just yet . . .

"It's all right Sarisa. I'm here now."

Shepard had come into the front of the hall, and was walking down towards the two men. He was wearing a black trenchcoat as well as a black cowboy hat atop his head. He walked with a slight limp, helped by his cane.

"We can talk in the infirmary. Leceel said that you shouldn't be up until you'd had some fluids in your system

Adrian silently thanked Vojta for his aid, but was now able to walk for himself. He had overexerted himself; he needs to give himself time to recover.

"So, you are Shepard...how did you find us?"

Lifting the cat up, Tiki stroked the cat slowly. Walking over to Nem Nem, "You wanna pet him? He's such a little cutie?" Tiki looks NemNem up and down again. "You know, you could look more sexy if you more something more appealing. A little cleavage never hurt anyone"

"....you're assuming I'm trying to look sexy?" Neimi's ears flicked backwards in disgust. "Why do you assume I would want do that?" Nemi's nose wrinkled; there was something weird going on and her sixth sense was going off. But she had no idea what it was. She looked over at the weird guy in black. "Okay silent mysterious person; who are you and why are you here?" Mentally, she asked herself why the smell of death emanated from him.

"I'm here to join this organization. Same as you I assume."

His voice was kept even as he stared down the cat-girl. This was just another job to him, odd work colleagues not withstanding

-------------------------------

Shepard looked at the Russian in front of him

"The PDA is a worldwide organization, Adrian. News of Baba Yaga's assault was given to us before you were even finished. The injuries you sustained were unexpected, but Leceel was able to give you treatment here and avoid any supernatural complications . . . though he could not save your arm."

Shepard made a gesture to the infirmary

"Come, we can talk more once you're sitting down."

NemNem nose looked pretty nice too, especially when it did that wrinkle. Seeing a man dressed in black in the room, Tiki bounced over to him. "Hi! My name is Tiki, and this is NemNem. And here's my bird friend, Bobby, and this cute cat I found here. Hmm, I think I'll call you Mr. Tibbles. Who are you?" Bouncing on the balls on his feet, Tiki looks expectantly at the man.

The gray-haired young man had entered the room shortly after the two women, but he had entered from a seperate hallway and hung back in the shadows. He had no idea how to interact with these people, especially considering the attractiveness of these two females. He was wringing his hands slightly faster than before.

Muerte practically glared down at the girl in front of him

"I have no name girl. If you require some title to call me by, I will answer to 'Muerte'."

Was this child seriously a part of the organization? He hoped not

Geist suddenly sat up in the girls arms and rolled his eyes. " well I see your just a fucking ray of sunshine" he said sarcastically. He sat staring up at Muerte with a bored expression.

Neimi froze as something registered. "....Nem....Nem...?" She breathed in and out deeply, trying to maintain her composure. "...and Mr. Tibbles..." Fair enough; what did she care what the cat was called? "and....Muerte.....Mr. Death himself I guess..." She raised her eyebrows. It was then that the cat spoke.

Nemi jumped and black fur covered her body, her eyes changing to crimson. "....the cat...just spoke...." She began backing up when she backed up into the newcomer, the one with grey hair.

Samuel didn't even see the woman back into him, he'd been surprised by the cat talking. When Neimi did back into him, He automatically reacted, steadying the two of them by gently grabbing her shoulders. As soon as he realized what he'd done, he let out a short, sharp, and quiet gasp as he recoiled as if touching her had scalded his hands. "My apologies, miss...I didn't see you approach." He avoided looking her in the eye as he blushed slighly, which was impossible to hide because of the paleness of his skin.

Shepard sat down on the bed across from where Adrian was resting. Sarisa was putting together a tray with a few meds as well as a large pitcher of water.

"I assume the two of you have many questions, I'll try and answer a few before getting there. This building is the PDA, Paranormal Defense Agency. We protect the world against creatures that hold a mystical persuasion, creatures that the two of you have been dealing with for some time already. We are not affiliated with any specific government, yet we have our fingers in all of them. They pay what is necessary to keep the things that go bump in the night at bay. Do you have any questions besides?"

Tiki looked at the cat, to NemNem then to Muerte. "Oh hey kitty. I didn't know you could speak English. Who's a smart cat. yes you are." Scratching the cat's ear absently, Tiki looked over at NemNem. "Aren't you taking this whole cat thing a little too far? I mean, you look good enough already, no need to attention whore." Looking back over at Muerty, she looked him up and down. can't see much, but she always enjoyed a mysterious guy. "No need to be such a debbie downer. So how's life, Muerty? You might wanna try for a little contrast. All black doesn't look so good for your skin tone." Tiki looked around. This island really was a weird place.

"How did you find us?" Vojta asked. "All I remember is shooting the Baba Yaga at close range, then the rest is a blank. I remember being on a helicopter, but that's all. Care to fill in those gaps?"

Muerte raised an eyebrow at the cat, one of his hands drifting to the desert eagle on his back.

"So . . . a talking cat. Care to extrapolate on that?"

He blatantly ignored the girl that pestered him about his clothing. He literally could not give any less fucks about what he wore, he simply felt black was suitable.

----------------

"We brought in a special helicopter, armed specially to deal with supernatural threats."

Shepard crossed his hands over his cane as he spoke

"Baba Yaga fled the scene, we unfortunately were unable to kill it. Upon communication with myself, the helicopter redirected from russian command to our own here in the bermuda triangle. Leceel offered immediate treatment, cleansing your body of supernatural toxins . . . but he was unable to salvage the pulpy mass that was left of your arm. And Vojta, you were put in a bed beside him as your body recovered from the shock. It was thought that it would be easier if your friend was beside you when you awoke."

Sarisa came next to the bed, setting the tray down and offering both medicine and water to Adrian

"Here, these are pain relievers. Strong ones."

Geist couldnt help himself he started laughing, this wasn't just a chuckle this was hysterics bordering on the insane. Still laughing he jumped out of the girls arms and looked back at her as he walked over to the doors leading deeper into the facility. " I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt but.... holy shit your dumb" he said bluntly. Then he looked at the two in the corner and raised an eyebrow smugly " and your so high strung its laughable. I'll have to be careful with my antics or I might give you a heart attack!!" this thought renewed his half maniacal laughter. " and you, that looks like something MJ would wear" he said to the man with mismatched gloves. He then sighed and collected himself " alright the director wants to see you in the conference room so if you'd please follow me" he asked trying not to snicker.

"Thank you," Adrian said to Sarisa with a small smile, tinged by exhaustion. He swallowed the medicine without hesitation, and then downed the water in moments. He now addressed Shepard. "Who exactly is this 'Leceel'? If possible I would like to meet him so I could thank him for saving me."

"This place has servants cats that can talk? This is the best!" Tiki said clapping her hands. "NemNem, isn't this place just the best!" Tiki looked over at Mr. Serious Guy, "You need to loosen up man, Mister Serious. Don't think I didn't notice you ignoring me. Bother, bother" She said while lightly poking Muerty. After a couple pokes. she ran after the kitty, her feet pattering on the ground.
