Drake

He was speechless as Maisie excused herself. God, he was stupid, stupid, stupid. Of course just being clean wouldn't have made Maisie forgive him, or decide to go with him. Aaron had slipped in while Drake's back was turned and stolen his crush. Stupid. Friends were just stupid.

Aaron's question made him look away from the ground where his pale gaze had been frozen. His body still felt rigid and cold as he locked eyes with Aaron. The question stung him harder than he'd liked to admit. "Of course it wouldn't. Have you seen me?"

And it was true. Drake was a mess.

He'd tried to clean himself up, but what was really the point?

"I've... gotta... go..." He mumbled and turned, fumbling with the door handle for a moment before slipping into the hall. Because there was only so much of this he could handle. And Drake had left one stash hidden.

Ana followed next to Tatum silently and mostly nodded at Tatum’s comments. She wasn’t sure if it was reassuring or not that Tatum didn’t know much. Surely if there had been a lockdown before, people would at least know what to do. In this case, it seems as if they were just left to their own devices. She hadn’t seen any teachers or anyone else who worked for the school give any sort of direction or look any less confused than the students milling about. When they got to Tatum’s locker, Ana leaned against another one and waited.

Well hopefully it wont be too bad__I just hope theres someplace to sleep or eat

And dont worry I dont mind and I wont tell anyone

Ana scribbled the words before showing Tatum the notepad again. Sleep wasn’t her biggest concern. She had slept on the floor more than once and could really fall asleep anywhere. The food situation though, that was a little more pressing. She hadn’t eaten in a few days. She never ate at school and rarely ate at home. She was used to being hungry, but she still liked to eat when she could. She was hoping she could get something at the school. Surely they would have to feed the students or something, right?

She curled her legs under her and sat on the floor next to Tatum. She wasn’t sure who Ash was, probably another student, but Ana had never met her. At the invitation at possibly drinking, Ana shook her head and waved a hand almost dismissively. She didn’t drink. Her father had turned her off of the stuff. She had experienced firsthand how dangerous and violent her father was when drinking and it never appealed to her. She wouldn’t judge others for drinking it, though. Tatum had been nice to her and Ana enjoyed her company.

For the next few minutes, she leaned over Tatum’s shoulder and watched as she went back and forth between a few people online. She only half read the conversations, though. Even though Tatum was showing her the screen, she wanted to give her a little bit of privacy. It wasn’t a few minutes later when someone approached the two of them. Ana jumped before grabbing her notepad and scrambling to her feet. She didn’t recognize him either, but she assumed it was one of the people on Twitter. She kept her head down and nervously gripped at the straps of her backpack. She knew they were meeting that girl relatively soon and now there was this guy, which made her even more nervous. Plus, this guy was like twice the size of her which only made things worse.

Sean's eyes glanced toward the barista guy one last time. He was politely putting in earbuds, and even if he was still listening in he was pretending not to which Sean felt was quite polite. He'd have to introduce himself at some point. Not now though, now he had to finally confront what he really felt. His gaze fell back upon Ash, a small smile on her face. The Woods boy had missed this. It just felt somehow right.

"I uh...I actually wanted to talk about us..." Sean trailed off. God, why hadn't he prepared more for this. It wasn't often he stumbled over his words, but then again it wasn't often he had to confess he still had feelings for an ex. It wasn't just an ex though. It was Ash. "Since I got back I've been doing a lot of thinking, trying to figure things out. I thought about how it was when we were together. How it felt like we could do anything. I thought about how it was without you. I thought about why we broke up, and about if it made any sense to get back together..." he paused, collecting his courage. "Ash I think- no, I definitely do still have feelings for you. You are so important to me, and I couldn't really think of a good reason that we split. I guess what I'm saying is; I think we should give us another shot." his eyes searched hers looking for any hint at her thoughts. "What do you think?" he would be okay if she said no, disappointed of course, but okay. It had been a long time and she had probably moved on. Guys probably lined up for Ash outside her house just waiting to ask her out. Winona Winona

Tatum has been relieved that Ana wasn’t upset with her for drinking and that she wouldn’t say anything. Tatum had gotten good about hiding her alcohol in different locations that either teachers or parents wouldn’t find. She was more than stressed about being stuck at school. She hadn’t even thought about food until she read Anas notebook, “I don’t think they know what to do with us but food sounds like a good idea.” She felt her stomach gurgle just a little and shrugged taking another sip from her bottle. As she had been waiting for Ash she started to have an interesting discussion on Twitter letting Ana see everything if she wanted. Tatum had less concerns as she drank especially when it came to what people thought about her.
While waiting she noticed a looming figure above them and rolled her eyes just a little as he spoke, “You’re standing in the fucking hall aren’t you?” She countered right back at him. Sure he was an intimidating figure but that wouldn’t stop Tay from speaking to him the way he spoke to her. As he grumbled at them demanding they get up she sighed a little, “Anyone ever tell you you’re bossy?” She offered him her flask assuming by his looks he drank.
She had received a message of where to go. She took the lead in front of the other two, “My alcohol my location choice.” The words directed at Kanen. She knew Ana would follow no question so really she only needed to make sure he wouldn’t make his own choice and run with her alcohol.

Jasmine

Jasmine didn’t know why but she couldn’t help but laugh at ravens comment about her moving to Maine. She knew in almost every way Ravens statement was right. But then again Maine was also a lot bigger that Maui and sharks weren’t up here. Still she sniffled quietly as she felt ravens hand on her shoulder and her soft words telling her it was gonna be ok. Jasmine couldn’t help herself and leaned into raven again hugging her tightly as she tried to compose herself a little.

“Thank you.... Raven.” She said quietly into the girls shoulder as she held on to raven. Her grip wasn’t the death grip like before but it was still clear she Jasmine did not want to be left alone right now. Then she heard the intercom. Being locked in for the night?! Really?! That was definitely not an ideal thing to be hearing. Frowning as she held a little tighter to raven. “W-well looks like I’m not seeing my doctor today.” She whispered mostly to herself

Well, that was a lot easier than expected. Before Billy Goat left, however, he told them someone named Kanen was looking for Stu.

Wait. . . did he mean THE Stu? There couldn’t be many kids around with such a stick in the mud name as Stu. And who was this ‘Kanen’ that Billy Goat was talking about? More importantly, what could anyone possibly want from freaking Stu?

It was a good question, for another time.

As soon as Billy Goat turned his back on them, Tom gave him the ‘up yours’ sign with his hand, which was the British equivalent of a middle finger. Now that the older kid was surely gone, Tom spun back round and casually resumed his, erm, exploration of this wimp’s locker.

‘That guy was a real wank, huh?’ he said.

He reached and touched the chandelier gently, watching how it moved and refracted light on the space wallpaper. Awesome.

Tom looked through the textbooks, before turning his head again at the wimp and saying, with a chuckle:

‘Mate. . . you look like a knob in that bloody jacket.'

Then he shrugged.

‘I'm hungry. Have you got any food?' he said. 'Hm, I don’t imagine you’ll be going home any time soon. . . not in this weather. The storm–’

He peered over at the glass doors where he could see the snow outside. A small grin suddenly graced his cheeky face. Tom roughly tossed the books back into the locker, onto the pile of stuff, and maybe accidentally destroyed the wimp's precious drawing in the process.

‘. . .C’mon. Let’s go check it out!’

Yes, yes, what a brilliant idea. Sure no one was supposed to leave the school, but technically they would still be on school grounds. And wouldn’t it be cool to see what a blizzard looked like. . . from the outside?

Jackson

Jackson’s eyes peered up to the intercom as they announced the lock down. Mentally cursing the weather. This was definitely not how he was planning for this Valentine’s Day to go. Still though he figured at least one thing was going right as he looked back down to Talulah with another smile. Listening to her he chuckled at her humbleness. “Are you kidding me girl. You and I both know damn well you are basically a professional.” He couldn’t help but blurt our to her in a slightly awkward chuckle. “The way you take you’re photos is amazing. You’re so good at it and you saw how bad I was at it that night.” He said reminding her of how she let him take a few photos that where no where near as good as hers even when he had her guiding him the entire way.

He would never be able to do what she did with a camera and Jackson liked that about Talulah. Glancing back up to the intercom once more before down to Talulah he sighed a little. “well this lock down definitely puts my plans out the window.” He said growing a little bit of an awkward and shy expression as he twirled the rose behind his back before he pulled it around with his left hand. Fiddling with it a little in hesitation before he gently held it out for Talulah. It was obvious he was trying to think of something good to say, but no words came out as he handed it to her.

Casper

At the mention of Stu, Casper’s heart dropped, smile flickering as he lowered his eyes, nodding lamely as he bit his lip.

To be honest, he’d rather not see Stu, and he doubted he’d be able to work up the nerve to talk to him, even if he did see him.

Kanen was leaving, and he glanced up, waving goodbye with a sullen smile. Of course, then the guy was back to rifling through his locker, and his smile was replaced with a worried frown, fingers fiddling each other as he tried to work up the urge to tell him to stop.

He wasn’t able to help but nervously glance over his admittedly low-level textbooks, wondering what this kid would think of him, even as he tried to tell himself he didn’t care.

The kid spoke up again, and Casper simply mumbled, “I don’t know what that means…”

He shook his head at the next question, saying, “I hope they feed us…”

Of course, then this kid kept talking, and Casper couldn’t help but tear up. Sure, home sucked, but school was worse as of late. He always felt so sick going through his day, thinking all the time.

A whimper left him as his things were crushed under his books, and he couldn’t tear his eyes away for a moment.

When he finally did, he simply shut his locker- Out of sight, out of mind, right?- and shook his head. Hard.

He wanted to tell this hellion that he didn’t want to go anywhere with him, but he couldn’t. “We could go see if they have food in the cafeteria, if you want.”

Aaron

Christ, even looking at Drake made Aaron’s heart hurt. He bit his cheek, nodding curtly as he spoke.

“I really don’t-”

And Drake was leaving.

Before Aaron could think he was grabbing Drake by the arm, tugging him back.

“Drake, we have to talk.”

His mind raced. This wasn’t how you should treat your friends. His grip was too tight. Would it be painful? Would Drake care? Was Drake even his friend now?

Well, this was no fun. The kid was no fun. Why couldn’t they go outside and check out the storm? There was much scientific knowledge to be gained. Plus, storms were generally just very cool, and he hadn't actually been in a blizzard before. But of course the wimp being a wimp wasn't going to agree to go outside with him.

‘You're just chicken aren't you?’ Tom asked, shaking his head. Then he saw that the boy was tearing up a little, and he made sure to point that out. ‘Hey, why are you crying?’

But he was hungry – there was no denying that – and they weren’t going to find any food out in a snowstorm. So maybe going to the cafeteria wasn’t a terribly bad idea. He heard his stomach growl, so there was his answer.

‘OK then,’ he said. ‘Fine. . . we’ll go to the cafeteria if you like. But there’d better be food there, cos I’m famished. Is the food here as shite as they are in the films? . . . What’s your favourite food?’

Tom fixed his bow and they worked their way down the hallway sluggishly. They arrived at the serving area in the cafeteria and of course it had to be empty. There wasn’t a trace of food left to be had.

‘Bloody hell,’ Tom grumbled as he craned his head over the glass counter and looked into the empty trays. ‘Useless.’

Then he pushed against the door to the kitchen and miraculously it wasn’t locked. He peeked inside. Nobody was there. Perfect.

‘Psst. . . Come on,’ he grabbed the other boy by the sleeve of his jacket and then nudged him into the kitchen. ‘There ought to be some food in here, right?’

Okay, maybe not what she was expecting like... at all, but it brought a huge smile to her face. "Really?" was all that she could say at first, followed by her vigorously nodding her head. "Oh my god, of course. Yes." It was official. This was the best Valentine's Day ever. And now all she had to do was go and get some hot chocolate with Sebastian.

"Like, I really like you, too, but I saw you with Paisley, so I didn't think you felt the same way." And yeah, Ash knew that she did feel something for him, but she just wasn't entirely sure what that something was. There was definitely attraction, definitely somewhat of a crush, but why was there still this empty feeling in her?

Ryder. The answer was Ryder because Sean was amazing, but he wasn't Ryder.

Oh well. She could get over this soon enough, so Ash just smiled, then leaned up and kissed Sean lightly on the lips. There were definitely some sparks, but still, that feeling still gnawed in the back of her head.

She dropped back to the ground, taking Sean's hand in hers. "Hey, Sebastian!" She yelled at her friend, waiting for him to remove the earbuds. "Valentine's Day is saved. This is Sean, my new boyfriend."

Mason
Staring Off.gif

Fuck.

Maybe he should've just kept fucking girls and saved this stupid fucking dating shit for when he was older and girls actually wanted a kid. And maybe sometimes he regre-- no, never mind. There wasn't a day that he regretted having Ari, even if he'd had her as young as he did. Sometimes it felt like all he had from day to day was Ari and he was fairly certain that if he didn't have her to keep him from giving up, Mason wouldn't even be sitting here on this desk, talking to Sam.

But that didn't mean she should feel like she would have to be a mother if she started seriously dating him. God, that wasn't what he fucking wanted anymore. Adriane had been a shitty mom. And then there had been last year when he'd stopped fucking random girls, and instead started dating an amazing girl that had been everything he had wanted. Fuck, she'd even wanted to be a mother to Ari, and the two of them together made him so happy, and made him feel at home.

And then she'd fucking moved, and now here he was. Alone again.

"We don't have to think about this right now." Mason said, finally breaking the tense silence. "I don't want you in Ari's life as a mother or... at all. Not until we've been dating for a while. So just... don't even think of me as a dude with a kid, yeah? We can just keep going on dates, having fun. Fuck, most high school relationships don't last forever anyway."

"And then when you're ready, if you're ready, and we're still together, maybe you can meet Ari."

Raven
tumblr_inline_ppx733vscu1t9ndkh_1280.gif

Raven started to ease their embrace, because they'd been hugging for like way longer than Raven has ever hugged someone. "I told you, it's fine. Not a big deal." So, despite her love of attention and thanks, when it came down to bigger things like this, she wasn't a big fan of thank yous' and just wished that they'd leave it alone and leave it be a nice gesture instead of a big thing.

So yeah. It was kind of a big deal, but hey, it's not very common to say that the brunette helped someone from having a panic attack; and that alone was kinda a plus for today.

"Sorry, about you missing the doctor thing. But there's no way I'm not going home tonight, I have a kid to look after-- well, not my kid, but... she lives with me, so I'm not just not coming home." As much as Raven didn't want a child, she wasn't gonna let that kid ask why she didn't home that night. So maybe she wasn't her mother, but Raven asked that question far too many times to herself when she was Ari's age, it'd be a shame for her to ask that same thing.

Her eyes? That... threw her off a bit more than she'd like to admit. Keisha batted her eyes unknowingly from where she was still sitting cross-legged on the table beside Grace. "What? These old things? I've had them forever." She chuckled at her very bad joke and then laid down on the table beside Grace, tilting her head to the side so that she could smile her, and maybe enjoy the view.

"You know what's weird? I used to get little paper hearts in my folders. Pretty sure it was this nerd Alex, though. He was always picking his nose and following me around." Keisha wrinkled her nose up in momentary disgust at the thought. "Well, In thought it was him until I punched him for it and he started crying and said it wasn't. What be a wimp." Keisha said, with a roll of her eyes.

"Did you go here when you were younger? I did in kindergarten, and then we moved." Or course Keisha already knew the answer, but she acted nonchalant as she took another spoonful of the pudding.

Kanen
The two girls seemed like kind of an odd pair of friends. While one of them wouldn’t even meet his eyes, the other practically challenged him. Unsurprisingly, the bold girl was the one with the alcohol. The girl with the booze had more attitude than Kanen would’ve liked, but she was also offering drinks. Obviously, Kanen was willing to overlook the sass if it meant he could get buzzed or something. Being trapped here in a snowstorm was going to be hell, a little liquor to numb himself with was appreciated. Granted, Kanen was more accustomed to drinking alone. He wasn’t fond of sharing.

Kanen took the flask
when she offered it to him. In all honesty, he thought about just taking it and walking away. What could either of them do about it? Beat him up and take it back? That was laughable.

Raising it to his lips, the contents spilled past his lips, flowing across his tongue and down his throat. It burned, but Kanen didn’t mind. The sensation felt as natural as breathing at this point. Kanen was just happy the flask had something worth drinking in it. He wasn’t a fan of beer. Beer tasted like ass and it took too many drinks to get drunk with. He preferred his whiskey and bourbon, or maybe the occasional rum. Whatever it was, Kanen just wanted it strong. Waking up with hangovers was like tradition at this point.

As the girl started walking down the hallway, Kanen just stood their a moment. Again, what was stopping him from just taking the flask and leaving? Absolutely nothing, that’s what. Nonetheless, Kanen’s feet started moving. He’d decided that once he got drunk enough, it wouldn’t matter who he was with. Hell, the chick might have more shit stashed around the school. Anything was possible in Westbrook.

Grace
virginia-gardner-gif-tumblr-6.gif

Grace had to admit that it was incredibly weird that she got paper hearts in her folder too; but who knows, what if another little girl decided to show her crush some love in the same way, the only reason why Grace had gotten confused about this coincidence was because she mentioned a nerd named Alex. And that alone started to make her think about that small crush she had and if it was possible that it might've been Keisha.

Because that'd just be crazy, wouldn't it? To meet your childhood crush much later in life? It sounds like a total romantic movie cliche. Grace really loved romantic cliches but that was beside the point.

She pulled the spoon from her mouth and thought about it a little more clearly, it was too bad that she couldn't remember the young girl's name, that really would've put things into perspective. What really sucked is that before they could've hung out more, the girl had moved-- away. Woah. Her thought processed finished as soon as Keisha had asked that question and suddenly everything made so much more sense, it's why she seemed so familiar. "Oh my gosh, I--" Grace put her pudding cup down on the seat beside them and stared at Keisha in awe. "No way. It's not possible. How are you-- Wow, that's... wow." Grace laughed and gazed at the brunette with wonder.

"I always thought you had really pretty eyes, but obviously uh-- wasn't my favorite, because like favorite things about someone seems inconsiderate? Right? I mean that's totally inconsiderate, you have really pretty everything if that makes sense? I'm so-not making sense, uh sorry sorry." Her words were rushed and rambled and honestly Grace wasn't sure how to act in front of Keisha, it's like that five year old jumped out of her suddenly and it was a little hard to keep her excitement contained.

What? She's a kid at heart.

"Sorry, I mean... it’s just... really nice to meet you, again."

And a total weirdo.

From the sound of the conversation, Sebastian understood that Ash and Sean already knew each other pretty well. But let’s be real, he wasn’t paying complete attention to everything they were saying, and he really was listening to music from his phone – his head slightly bobbed along with the beat of a Michael Jackson song. He’d gotten used to fading into the background almost immediately and finding a way to keep himself busy without feeling awkward.

While leaning against the wall on one shoulder, Sebastian had his back facing Ash and Sean, so he didn’t witness the simple kiss between them. He could still hear Ash calling his name through the blaring music. Tugging off his earphones, he turned around and faced the (re)newly young couple.

“New boyfriend? That was fast. ‘Sup.” Sebastian greeted Sean with a nod, being neither overly friendly or too standoffish. He always had mild impressions towards any friend (or, in this case, a boyfriend) of a friend. He didn’t allow himself to immediately trust someone after knowing them for only 5 minutes or less, but he was still polite enough to be a decent person.

“I guess this Valentine’s Day miracle calls for a hot chocolate celebration."

Drake
Welp Down.gif

He felt the meager resistance to his escape -- as if Aaron really thought that he could hold Drake back. Not only was he a freshman, but he was smaller than Drake -- which was kind of a surprise, as Drake wasn't the biggest. Then again, it wasn't that much of a surprise when you realized that Aaron was just a girl in a binder.

"There's nothing to talk about." Drake snapped, yanking his arm roughly away from Aaron and then, without really thinking, he shoved both of his hands against Aaron, pushing him away.

For a moment, he seemed to register what he had done, and Drake's pale eyes widened with worry. But then... then he remembered that this was just Aaron. Aaron who encouraged Drake to do bad things, illegal things. Aaron who had somehow stolen Maisie out from underneath him, while Drake had been taking his sweet time.

It was really his fault, wasn't it?

"What would she ever see in you?" Drake spat, narrowing his eyes at Aaron as hatred filled with his gaze once more. "Go away and leave me alone. Although I bet you can't even do that right."

It was impossible to keep up with what Grace was saying as she tripped over her words. An affectionate grin played across Keisha's face, and she didn't do anything to try and calm down the flurry of words.

"You're cute when you're nervous." She said with a laugh, although Keisha wasn't sure if Grace was nervous or just... being Grace. Keisha waited until she came to that realization on her own, not wanting to act like she had known since, well, forever that Grace had been her crush. Although she was just now finding out that Keisha had been her first crush, too.

Suck it, Sawyer.

"That's, ah... I don't know." Keisha laughed again, once again feeling nervous in Grace's presence. "You know, five-year-old me's dream was to always lay on a cafeteria table with you and eat pudding." It was a joke, but also probably what five-year-olds did when they had crushes on people. Right? Yeah, probably.

"But..." she trailed off, her lips parted slightly, as she Keisha's gaze trailed from Grace's eyes down to her lips. "I have a very different dream now." And before she could wuss out, Keisha leaned over, pressing her lips against Grace. She dropped her pudding spoon to the table beside her and reached over with her hand, gently cupping Grace's face.

Casper

Casper bit his lip, looking down as he gently shut his locker and tried to avoid the boy's words. Eventually, they bit at him too hard, and he shook his head. "I'm not crying," he said, though the glistening in the corners of his eyes claimed otherwise.

Thank goodness the top changed so quickly. It was just as well, really- Casper'd rather not have to admit to crying, or, even worse why he was crying.

With one last sniffle, he nodded, wiping at his eyes as he followed the other to the cafeteria, answering the questions they were asked quietly and a bit bewildered. This kid had just spent a few minutes making Casper feel awful about himself, and now he was trying to make small talk for no reason at all.

"Um... I don't really eat school lunches..." Casper admitted. "My mom just packs my lunch..." He trailed off, quiet for a long second.

"I like strawberries a lot. With whipped cream?"

He found himself smiling despite himself, tugging at his sleeve as the boy opened the doors to the cafeteria.

"I'm Casper, by the way," Casper began, though his words died with his smile as Tom spoke again, and he looked up. Warily, he watched Tom go to the kitchen door.

"I don't think we should..." Of course, then Tom was speaking and tugging and pushing and really, Casper couldn't be blamed for ending up somewhere he shouldn't, right? Really, he couldn't.

He turned to Tom, nibbling on his lip in alarm before looking around. The sooner they found food the sooner they could leave, right?

So he began looking. "You said something about food and films, right?"

Aaron

Aaron stumbled back a step, eyes falling in almost boredom as he watched Drake look at him like that, almost disbelieving. This couldn't be happening. Drake was his friend. But then again, it was, wasn't it? And Drake obviously wasn't, not when he was looking at Aaron like that. He ignored the way his stomach clenched, the way Drake was trying to hurt him.

It was terrifying to think about how those words might have stung, really, if he hadn't just been waiting for the other shoe to drop for months now. If he weren't used to worse things being swung at him.

"Says the druggie who couldn't even quit drugs without a girl to motivate him. At least I don't need someone to save me, or, hell, even like me. You're a pathetic mess of a person, constantly leaning on others so you don't have to face that you're your own problem, but I doubt that's news to you. I wouldn't be surprised if you were about to go shoot up right now. Don't worry, though, I won't stop you. But don't come crying to me when your life is right back where it was months ago in a few days, and don't you dare blame me for your own shit. Enjoy the high."

Samantha

The silence stretched between them for what seemed like minutes and Sam found herself absently tugging at the end of her shirt. Even after Mason spoke, she remained silent. How could she just forget the fact that he had a child? Or forget what he wanted in a relationship? Already it felt like a weight on her shoulders. She couldn’t just avoid that forever. The further along they got in their relationship, the more important the answer will be. He was right, most high school relationships didn’t last forever, but she still didn’t want to be a disappointment or a regret.

She pushed herself off the windowsill and walked back over to him. “If you’re really sure. I don’t want you to be unhappy.” She reached for one of his hands and pulled it out of his pocket before holding it in hers. “I like you Mason. I really do and I know I’m not a top priority or anything. Just promise me, if anything ever happens or you just don’t think this is working or whatever, just tell me okay? I know we’re not the best at talking about this kind of stuff. I know I need to be better. And I’m sorry again for how I was in the hallway.” She stared at his hand as her fingers slipped between his and she held his hand tight. Even if things were complicated now, she wanted to at least try. Mason was the first relationship she had ever been in and she didn’t want it to end like this.

Drake

"What in the hell did the world ever do to make you such a fucked up, heartless person?" Drake asked, his face twisting momentarily into one of hurt from what Aaron had said.

"You know, at least when I shoot up, people like to be around me and I have friends. What the fuck do you have, Aaron? Nothing but yourself. You might think Maisie is going to prom with you for you, but we both know it's just because she feels bad for you. Just like everyone else. No one is ever gonna actually like you."

And with that, Drake spun on his heel and stomped out of the room.

Mason
Staring Off.gif

"Of course I'm sure." He murmured, relaxing visibly when Sam crossed the room to take his hand. At least for now, she had forgiven him, and they could move forward. Still, Mason had now had this little fucking voice in the back of his head, reminding him that there was no way that this would ever happen forever.

But that wasn't that important, was it?

Mason pulled his other hand out of his pocket, wrapping his arm around Sam's waist and pulling her closer to him. "I'm never going to be unhappy with you. And of course I'll come to you, but you have to come to me, too. We can make this work." Of course, Mason didn't mention anything about her not being a top priority.

Because at the moment, Sam was right. Ari was still his top priority.

Ash
Actual SMILE.gif

"Yes, Sebastian! That's exactly what I was thinking!" It was like he was reading her mind. "C'mon, to the home ec room. Plus like, there's some people that are supposed to be meeting us there." Well, Tatum at least. Ash really had no idea if anyone else would be showing up, but she sure knew that she would at least be there.

With her hand still tightly holding Sean's, Ash started dragging Sean after her towards the home ec room, with Sebastian following after her. Or, well, he at least better have been.

They weren't far from there, so it wasn't long before she was opening the door and flipping on the lights in the classroom. Given how long the room had been closed since school was supposed to be over, it was colder than the hallways. "Alright, Sebastian. Let's see what you can do." She said, looking towards her friend.

Tom

Needless to say, Tom wasn’t really expecting strawberries as the answer to his question, but this kid was full of surprises.

‘That’s not really food food, is it?’ he said. ‘I mean, you wouldn’t have strawberries for dinner, would you?’

Well, maybe he would. That's probably how he got to be so scrawny.

So they were in the kitchen where they didn’t belong. Tom went about this whole scavenging business very coolly, hardly breaking a sweat, as if he wasn’t even afraid of being caught red handed at all.

‘I’m Tom,’ he answered, then chuckled at the boy’s name. ‘I guess that explains your wallet, huh?’

They found stone cold chicken nuggets in one of the trays left over from lunch. He picked one up and scrunched up his face just looking at it.

‘Disgusting,’ he said, tossing the nugget back into the tray. ‘I don’t eat meat. It’s so unethical, have you seen how they keep animals and butcher them? It’s also one one of the biggest causes of global warming. . . Did you know that?’

He ignored Casper’s mention of films. His eyes trailed away from the nuggets and to the adjacent tray. Here were some stale, deformed chocolate chip cookies, which had been left out in the open for too long. Oh well. Beggars can’t be choosers. Tom promptly opened up his backpack and shoved a few in.

‘-- Hey, you should check out those cupboards.’ He pointed as he stuffed a cookie in his mouth and dusted the crumbs off his hands. 'God, look at all this junk food. No wonder everyone's so fat here.'

Juliette
original.gif

The pictures weren't perfect. But Juliette was positive it was Sawyer and not her, JJ had incredible photography skills and if you'd seen her Instagram you'd be so jealous in her eyes. If only Sawyer was as photogenic as Juliette hoped she would be. "You're so ugly." That was a lie, and... it's not like she'll admit it, but she felt a little bad at the insult. "No, it's fine. My phone is just used to me is all." Well, that works enough for an apology.

"It's not stupid! It's perfectly normal. Smile wider you have to make it seem like you love me." Not like love, love. Just... y'know, that different type of love. Juliette was determined to get at least a thousand likes. Right as she was about to snap another picture, the blonde clearly got tired of having her photo taken and stepped out of the frame which left JJ with an annoyed groan and a blank photo of the amazing promposal she basically made for herself.

It was time to go back to work and plaster more of her around. "Wow, you're so hilarious." Juliette hit her with the remaining flyers she had in her hand and walked the rest of the way to the cafeteria, she was about to enter until she'd seen a flash of blonde from inside, she didn't need glasses to see that Grace was indeed sucking face with the brunette from earlier and Juliette's eyes widened at the sight of it. Turning around almost instantly, pushing Sawyer back slightly. "Y'know, morning sickness, I'm way too nauseated to step foot in there, c'mon we should go." Hopefully it'd work, because who wouldn't listen to a pregnant woman?

"You can help me come up with names for the baby I might or might not keep while I'm throwing up, let's go."

Grace

She would've questioned what her dream was, the curious glint in her eye gave it away before it was quickly snuffed out as her eyes fluttered shut from the brunette placing her lips against Grace's own. It took her a second to realize what was happening from the initial shock that'd be being kissed by any girl beyond Sawyer, Grace could practically feel the butterflies having a rave in her stomach as her excitement kicked in.

She tasted like chocolate. And chocolate was beginning to become her most favorite thing ever at this point. After a few seconds Grace pulled away with a beaming smile. "I guess that saves napkins." She chuckled, hesitating for a moment before she lifted her hand removing the chocolate from the corner of Keisha's lips with her thumb. And then suddenly her heart shattered with guilt, why was Sawyer constantly on her mind? It wasn't fair. Not wanting to ruin their moment, Grace plastered on her smile with whatever joy she had that didn't get swept away by the memory of her ex.

Damn it, Sawyer.

Anabelle Price

Ana didn't have much to contribute to the little spat between the two. She rarely had input on anything, which she never cared about. It was always awkward trying to communicate through writing and was always a slow process, especially with multiple people in the conversation. So, she stood there awkwardly staring at the ground as she shuffled their feet. Luckily, they didn't stay in the hallway for too long. Ana quickly followed behind Tatum, but couldn't help herself from casting nervous glances at the guy with them. He was intimidating to say the least and he was so giant compared to her.

They reached their destination fairly quickly and Ana peeked in to see it was the home ec room. There was already a small group of people in there, which made her stop in her tracks. Maybe they weren't really there yet or they went to the wrong room? It wasn't until Tatum walked past her and into the room that she resolved herself that it was in fact the right room. Being around that many people made her nervous, but it was too late to turn back now. She followed Tatum into the room and half waved at the group of people before making a beeline to the cabinets. Hopefully there would be at least a little bit of food somewhere in that room.

Sawyer
Sawyer was extremely thankful to be put of the front of the camera. She stuck several flyers randomly on the wall as they made their way to the cafeteria. On the way, she rambled about whatever came to her head, in a considerably better mood than she had been earlier. The bickering that she always seemed to happen between them. Sawyer honestly enjoyed it a lot. Flexing her clever muscles was something she liked doing quite a but and JJ definitely provided a good opponent. Sawyer was glad they'd actually started talking to eachother. She'd probably be in a perpetually bad mood if she didn't have anyone the bicker with at all.

As the cafeteria came into view, Sawyer was just ending a random story about pickles and her dad. As they pushed through the doors she cringed at the unpleasant smell. The cafeteria was quite possibly the worst place to eat ever in the existence of the entire world. No offense to the lunch ladies, it was Washingtons fault with their stupid healthy eating initiative anyway. But the smell. It was the kind of smell that ingrained itself in your brain and you could smell it very faintly for a very long while. It was terrible. The cafeteria was her least favorite place in the universe. When JJ suddenly stopped her in the doorway she was more than happy to leave, but she wanted to get at least two of the flyers up first.

"Shit, okay hold on. Just let me put like two up." Sawyer carefully displaced JJ and jogged down the wall a ways and placed one flyer. When she turned around to go to the other side of the cafeteria she stopped. There was Grace and whatchamacallit kissing. Sawyer blinked once, slowly turned on her heel and made her way back to JJ. She took the rest of the flyers from JJ's hands calmly, grabbing her by her elbow and pulling her out of the cafeteria. The door slammed behind them. Sawyer didn't say anything as she lead JJ toward the bathroom and stopped.

"I'm gonna hang the rest of these up. I'll be back for you in a second." Sawyer took off down the hallway and the second she turned the corner she opened the door to the science lab and sunk down into a corner. The flyers scattered at her feet and her head in her hands. Maybe whatever the hell had happened in the library had hurt her, but that? That meant Grace had moved on and Sawyer's heart was broken.

Tatum had been excited to drink with Ash, even if they had only talked for a little once she was still excited. Their communications over Twitter always made her realize that they could in fact be decent friends. As she rounded the last corner, with Ana and Kanen still in tow she smiled. She had walked past Ana as they all stopped in front of the home ec room, "Let the festivities begin." she winked to the two other parts of her three amigo group. She lifted her bottle in the air and took yet another long sip, "Here's to everything but love." she walked over towards Ash and the two other males she had with her. It was definitely a party for them. She plopped herself on to one of the stools in the home ec room, "So Ash?" she put her glance towards the other blonde, "That's Ana, and then this is my new acquaintance. He drinks too so I'm okay with him. He's kind of bossy." She teased him sending Kanen a smirk. She knew he was staying for the liquor because that was the only reason she was even surviving the horrendous time being in school.
Her eyes looked to the other two males, "I'm Tatum. You look familiar." she paused for a moment, "The cafe! you work there. I'm sorry I don't know your name." her eyes glanced to Ash's hand holding the other males and she sent Ash a suggestive look. She shouldn't surprised the blonde was a beautiful girl and any guy would be lucky to be with her. She looked towards Ana who was rummaging in the cabinets, "You want any help, Ana? I could go for some food. What about the rest of you?" Hopefully someone else would want something to eat. There had to be someone else who was dying for food.
