June
She frowned as she saw Georgia panting hard and her eyes fell on the box cutter in her hand. June quickly moved away from her attempt to stab her and to the side of the truck. She didn’t even have time to look at the lights that were headed their way before she grabbed Georgia’s arm holding the box cutter away from her face. “Why did she call you for help? What’s so good about you? And what’s so horrible about me? Why was I never enough for her?” She shouted angry and sad at the same time. “You had the chance to save her and you didn’t. But I could.” June eyes widened for a moment, uncertainty flashing across her face before she yelled as the box cutter sliced the side of her cheek. Georgia stumbled back for a moment and looked at the blood on the box cutter then up to the car lights.

June felt the blood trickle down her cheek as she looked back to. “Oh no. Oh no, no, no, no.” She quickly started walking, waving her arms as she saw who it was. “Get out of here!” She attempted to yell, but her voice was still hoarse from the strangling and her over all messed up shape.

“I told you to not call anyone!”

Georgia yelled before charging forward and pushing June to the ground again. She was planning on using the boxing cutter again, until June was able to pull it from her grasp and throwing it to the side and into the water. “I’ll make sure you’re dead!” Georgia threatened in a growl.

Raven
Raven stopped in her tracks seeing the blood on June’s face. Shocked at at Georgia’s words and actions. She immediately shook it off when she saw Georgia pounce on June. Raven rushed over, pulling Georgia off by her shirt. Throwing her harshly to the ground opposite of them. “What the fuck!?” Throwing a quick glance over at June and turning her attention back to Georgia. “You psycho bitch.” Raven spat out.

“She didn’t call anyone, you were just too stupid to forget that phones exist.” Raven glared down at her. She didn’t understand why Georgia was so set on hurting June. But now the obsession with her made so much sense. They weren’t ever friends. Georgia’s intentions was just for an enemy.

“You’d thought it’d be a good idea to attempt to murder someone? For what!?” Raven said, scoffing. “Nice try, knock-off Michael Myers. But your plan failed.”

Mason

If Mason was a girl, he probably would've pounced on Georgia and started beating her bloody. Hell, right now that's what he wanted to do, female or not, when he saw what she was doing to June. Instead, he hobbled after Raven, thankful that she took care of the whole throwing the sassy, murdering bitch.

Mason moved over to June. "Are you okay?" He asked, although he had situated himself in front of her, facing Georgia and just behind Raven. He was like a second line of defense, and his hands had curled into fists, his muscles bulging beneath the flannel he wore. Yeah, he was ready to throw her with his mighty freshman tossing muscles, if it was needed.

"What kind of crazy person tries to kill a girl with a box cutter?" Mason snapped, trying to back up Raven's sassy remarks.

June
June was shocked as Raven threw Georgia back. Even more shocked Georgia stayed down for a bit as Raven spat the remark at her. However, she was afraid of what she would do while up. She sat up slowly and saw Mason was here too. She shook her head slowly. “Well I’ve seen better days.” She said dully as she grabbed onto Mason to get up. “But what are you two doing here? How did you even find me?”

Then she was caught off guard by a loud yell of frustration from Georgia as she got up.

“That’s it! I knew you two would try to be heroes.” Georgia had hoped the blogs would have ruined any hope for June. Ruining friendships so Georgia could come in for the kill. But she could adjust. She could fight even better.

Then she was off. She punched Raven in the jaw before using her own tactic and throwing her to the side. She looked over and found she was close enough to her truck. She reached over into the back and wrapped her hands around a bat. She didn’t think she’ll need to use it, but she couldn’t take the big guy for granted. She had seen his temper before, she might take him then the pipsqueak.

June saw Georgia immediately raising to the bat to hit him clean in the side as she ran towards them. “No!” June yelled, she moved just in time to feel the bat bash right into her shoulder. It felt like forever before the bat finished its swing and effectively made June fall to her side.

Georgia smiled for a brief moment before realizing she didn’t hit its target and she found herself backing up, still clutching the bat before looking at her car. Now it was time to leave, if she could that was.

Raven
Raven looked at June for a split second before turning her attention back to Georgia, who’d started to get up. Mumbling something about heroes. She didn’t expect Georgia to hit her. Much less when she ended up on the ground. She fell back with a groan of pain. Putting a hand to her jaw, looking up just in time to see June get hit, she tried to warn her but the words died on her tongue as she watched her fall.

Raven looked towards Georgia with a death glare. “Maldita puta.” She cursed. Rubbing the spot where Georgia had punched her. She stood up. Noticing that Georgia looked towards her car. “If you think you’re about to make a clean getaway, think again.” Raven was fuming, she tackled Georgia, aiming low to send her to the ground again. Most likely getting the wind knocked out of her from the hard impact.

“Oh my god, you have no idea how long I’ve been wanting to do this.” She spit out, winding up a punch as it landed across her face.

She hit her again, and again. Pulling back and taking a breath, shaking her hand off. Attempting to ignore most of the pain in her knuckles.

“If you wanted me on top of you, all you had to was ask..” Raven told her with a hint of a smirk.

He'd been prepared for the impact of the bat, until June got hit instead. Eyes widening in shock when it connected with June, and he quickly caught her before she could fall down. "What the fuck, you crazy ass bitch." He snapped, and gently lowered June to the ground, his amber eyes filled with worry as he did so. "One sec, okay? Just hold on here and let us finish this, and then we'll get you home and you'll never have to see her again, I promise."

Mason then stood up, going over and picking up the bat that she had let go of when Raven had tackled her. "Yo, I want a turn." He said, gesturing for Raven to move out of the way, and then brought the bat down on her face. "Fucking bitch. Who the fuck tries to cut someone." He grumbled, and then made his way over to her truck and let Raven finish dealing with her.

Ah, vandalism came back to Mason wonderfully as he happily bashed all of her windows and lights in before returning to June's side, crouching back down to see how she was doing.

She felt like the ground was almost a nice pillow. It was rough yet cold and comforting. Although, it was hard to tell because as soon as she felt the bat impact she was positive she broke something. But, she needed to stay awake and focused. Just in case something happened.

However, she saw something good did happen. Georgia fell back as punch after punch was delievered, she tried to reach out to grab Raven after she made the comment until she couldn’t muster the strength. Then the bat came and she was out like a light.

June flinches a little at the sound of crashing as she saw Mason beat in Georgia’s car. Which almost brought a smile to June’s face until she found herself fading in and out. No, no. You made it this far what are you doing? She used her good arm to try to raise herself until she found herself gasping out in pain, falling to her side once more. She couldn’t do it. “Mason...” she tried to say. But she also saw Raven. Through fading vision she looked up and said, “I’m sorry.” Before her head fell and she passed out.

Raven
Raven raised a surprised brow over at Mason, wincing as he hit her, but gave him an small nod when she knocked out from the impact. Taking a much needed deep breath, she backed away from Georgia, looking towards June when she gasped in pain.

Walking her way over to her and Mason, she sighed heavily when she apologized, “June..” shaking her head when she passed out. Raven felt guilty, for what exactly.. she has no idea. Maybe she could’ve stopped her from getting hurt. Or could’ve gotten here sooner.

With a final glare towards the unconscious body of Georgia. “What do we do?” She asked.

“Hospital? Police?” She bit her lip, thinking of how to make sense of all this to the police, should they have to. “This was shit show.” Scoffing in disbelief. Her eyes softening when she looked to June.

“What’s the plan, Rivera?” She said quietly, looking to Mason.

Man, Mason could really use a cigarette right now, but sadly right now wasn't the best time to do so. And he started to regret bashing in Georgia's car and her face since the cops would probably have a fun time thinking about how to get him arrested for all of that, but it was worth it for June in the end. "Take her to a hospital. I'll drive and we can take my sto-- borrowed car, and you can call the cops while we head there and tell what happened." Yeah, that seemed like a good idea... right?

Without waiting for a response, Mason gently scooped June up in his arms and started carrying her towards the old car. "Could you get the door for me?" He asked, looking down at June's face as he waited. God, what had she done in this world to deserve something like this? Mason remembered how cruel he had been to her this morning, blaming her for everything that had happened, and guilt washed over him. He should've listened to her, and maybe none of this would've happened.

Raven
Raven nodded, agreeing with his plan. She looked down at her knuckles, tracing a finger over the bruises that started to form. She didn’t regret hurting Georgia. “Hmm?” She looked towards Mason. Realizing that he wanted her to get the door. “Oh, yeah.” Opening the door to the backseat, and sliding in first so he could put June in. “I’ll stay with her.” She told him.

The drive to the hospital was.. well depressing. She pulled up her phone, and explained to the police the events that occurred, which were surreal. Looking at June, she sighed as she wiped the blood from her cheek gently. Raven looked up catch Mason’s eye in the rearview mirror. She cleared her throat, looking away from the awkward eye-contact.

By the time they’d made it to the hospital, a few police officers were already there. She explained the situation, again. And waited while the nurses got June situated. She dialed her phone putting it to her ear. “Hey, Nancy..Is everything good? Oh, okay.. good. I might be a little late. I’ll uh.. explain it all later.” She nodded as the conversation went back and forth for a few seconds before hanging up, and sitting in silence.

When a nurse came up to them explaining that June was fine, she let out a breath she didn’t realize she was holding, and nodded. “Can i..” she started, and looked towards Mason. “Can we see her?” Raven asked. And with a nod from the nurse they walked into June’s room.

She put on a grin. “Hey, MJ. How’s it goin?”

Mason

The drive to the hospital was spent in silence while Mason stared straight ahead, listening while Raven explained what had happened. The worst thing was that for some dumb reason, she'd actually blocked Mason and taken the hit. God. Why the hell had she thought that would be a good idea? Mason was already fucked up as it was, why not just add to that?

His eyes met with Raven's briefly in the rear view mirror when he was looking back to check on June, and he quickly diverted his gaze back to the road. Mason was quiet, trying to concentrate on just making his way to the hospital without thinking about everything that happened. For now, he needed to at least be calm.

Once they got to the hospital and they took June in, Mason followed Raven over to sit and wait until the nurses came down to tell them that they could go see June. He glanced towards Raven, and followed her up to June's room. He looked down at her, feeling horrible for the whole situation, as he stared down at June, quietly waiting for June to respond.

June
June wasn’t sure what happened. She was in and out at random times feeling like she was teleported until she just faded to nothing.

She just remembered Georgia and her face and the box cutter and the bat. It hurt and she didn’t know what to do about anything. Falling, falling, falling.

She woke up slowly and wanted to go back to sleep. The hospital bed was so soft and all she wanted to sleep more. But her eyes drifted over slowly and saw people watching her. Then she realized it was Mason and Raven. She blinked and was going to sit up until she felt pain radiate from around her. So she stayed down. “What is going on?” She managed out and looked up to see a hospital room.

“Oh no...” She looked back at them. “What happened to Georgia? How did you get here? Where’s Grace’s car?” She asked, now starting to wake up more.

Raven
Raven winced as she mentioned Grace’s car. Might’ve been a good idea to figure that part out.. whoops. “Mason, got us here.” Looking towards Mason. She cleared her throat. “Georgia was..dealt with. I’m sure she should be behind bars by now.” She reassured her.

“The Rivera detective agency closed yet another case.” She thought about it for a second. “Well.. our only case.” She winked at her, attempting to brighten her mood, although she didn’t think it’d help.

She turned more serious, “How do you feel?” She asked. Biting her lip before she asked another question.

“So, you mind telling us why Georgia wanted to uh.. murder you?” Maybe she should’ve put it in a better way, but how could she? Raven was saying it like it was.

"I can't believe she wouldn't be in jail, the bitch." Mason grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest in well somewhat annoyance. He did glare at Raven when she mentioned the whole Rivera Agency joke, which Mason did find amusing. "It better be our last case. I'm not doing this thing ever again." He grumbled.

"Don't worry about Grace's car, we'll take care of it." He promised, his face softening as he spoke to her. Right now, all she really needed to worry about was getting better -- everyone else could take care of the other things. "Seriously, just rest, alright? We'll call your dad and stuff and make sure everything is taken care of." Okay, well, the hospital was already going to be doing that for them given that June was a minor, and had almost been murdered by that crazy girl.

She frowned a little, conflicted about everything and groaning a bit before laying her head back down. “I’m sorry.” She started off. “I was fully prepared to take it on myself and it felt like I was. Georgia had burned every bridge around me by leaking my blog.” She looked down at the sheet, slowly moving her good hand to play with it. “I wrote the blog. She didn’t change anything... the reason I started it was when I got into photography. And because Ruby died.” She hated explaining it now. They’ll only look at her injuries rather than her story, but she knew they deserved to know.

“A picture is always stuck in the moment. People are stuck doing one pose and the sky doesn’t move. When I write, it makes everything move. The words live as long as I live.” She thought back to when she had talked to Mason about pictures. Never thinking the blog had stemmed from that idea. “Regardless, I shouldn’t have put secrets and videos in there. I’m going to apologize when, you know,” she nodded to the hospital bed, “but I know an apology won’t be enough too. Georgia’s intentions were straight forward.” She paused as she realized Raven didn’t know the story of Ruby. But she didn’t have enough strength to tell another story on top of another. “But that’s a story for later. I’m just...” She sighed and immediately felt tears blurrying her vision. “So sorry this happened. No one deserved it. It should have just been me. It’s my fault and it should’ve been my consequence.”

Nova

A sigh lazily fell from Nova's lips as she brushed her cheeks, her hands a little unsteady and the silver of her rings glistening as they were soaked by hot tears. Jace was acting all angry and defensive, Ryder was... well, acting the same way, Ash still didn't even look at her, and here Nova was, in the girl's bathroom with something of a stranger. Yet she couldn't help but feel like Drake was something of a long lost best friend, like he could magically make all her problems go away. Of course she knew that he wasn't a fairy godmother, but the brunette figured she could dream. Anything to maybe soothe this oncoming headache, even if it was just thoughts.

The girl's bathroom wasn't helping her head in any way though, the smell of bleach burning at her nose and making her eyes water even more. "I don't know," She murmured, leaning forward to rest her forehead onto Drake's chest. Nothing was making sense, nothing seemed like it would make it better. As Alaska departed, Nova gave her a small wave beforestanding back up and looking at Drake with a weak smile. "I don't know what's gotten into him," Her shoulders shrugged as she reached behind the boy, grabbing a paper towel to blow her nose into. No point in being embarrassed around her new friend, he'd already seen her cry twice. "I don't know what's gotten into this school, it's so... just, twisted."

‘I bet she still likes you, though, Jace,’ Neck Tie said. He gently reached over and tried plucking a few strings on Jace’s guitar. Now he was sliding and rubbing his hand against neck, feeling the bumps on the frets. Why? No reason. Probably just curiosity.

‘Nova's just a bit upset, that’s all. I think you should apologise. You just gotta tell her you’re sorry, and Ryder as well. You can do it, Jace, I know you can,' he said, boosting his friend's confidence. 'Everyone's saying you're a coward, but they're wrong. They're all wrong. I'll back you up, you know I will. But she needs to hear it from you, OK?'

Raven
Raven stood quiet as June explained. She couldn’t help but have the smallest smile on her face when June talked about writing, it made sense the way she explained it. But it killed her because she couldn’t get mad at that. Raven knows exactly what she meant.

Nodding slightly when she said she shouldn’t of put secrets in there. Wasn’t the best idea.

After she was done, Raven felt like she understood it now. Sighing heavily, and taking few steps foward. “God, you could be so..” she shook her head.

“No, you didn’t deserve any of it.” Biting her lip hesitating before speaking again. “Okay, so a few secrets came out. So what? For whatever reason it was. I can assure you, you didn’t deserve to almost be murdered for it.” The blog was.. terrible to say the least. The things that got uncovered from it was worse. But despite writing it all down, June wasn’t the one to release them. Raven was still on edge about it, but the amount of relief she feels that June didn’t die tonight was indescribable.

Sybil Weston~

August had rolled into October slowly, it felt like time was a wheel stuck in the mud, Sybil contemplated a lot of things when she was up this early. This morning was crisp as a low fog hung over the Weston property and shielded the old ranch house from prying eyes. Not that many people had ever really seen the Weston household, it was tucked into a knot of lush forest and far from the road. She brought a cup of black coffee to her lips and took a long drink, the bitterness make her face coil but it was starting to wake her up as the sun rose higher in the pre-dawn hours. Hugo and James were staying with the cousins in town which gave Sybil some peace and time to work the dogs. She had got a job from one of the farmers near by but wouldn't be able to work on it yet, not till the weekend. Sigrid and King thumped their tails on the floor when she came in, giving them some gentle pats on the head before disappearing into her room. "Homecoming.. Jesus.." She grumbled and tugged on a pair of jeans, flipping through her many choices of flannel before deciding on a red-black combo that suited her.

The announcements of Homecoming bugged her, but it was her last one and she figured that she should probably make the best of it, maybe find a boy to dance with. She snorted, "Find a boy, why din a boy when I've got a King." The dog perked up and barked at the mention of his name. "Yes you, my silly King." She planted a kiss on his nose then slipped out the door and into the wilds, giving her truck a rap on the hood with her knuckles. It was a calming drive that emptied her mind of thoughts until she hit the rush of traffic nearing the schools, whoever thought triangulating the elementary, middle, and high school together needed to be hung by the toes. Her favorite parking spot was open, right near the football field where the school property line meshed with a pocket of woods. For a few long minutes, Sybil just sat there before she hopped out, slung her bag over her should and headed on in, ready for whatever the day was holding.

No one ever told you that Tennessee to Maine was one of the longest drives on Earth, but no one ever told you it was also one of the prettiest. Shiloh thought about his mother's words and smiled, she was a wise lady and she was right, the drive had taken a long time especially with their whole caravan in tow but they had made it. They had a cheap house that needed repairs and a yard that needed some love, but there was room enough for everyone including the animals. Stonewall Jackson had a tiny shed in a little pasture but it was more then enough for the stallion, Shiloh was watching him from the upstairs bedroom in the early morning hours as he got ready for school, usually he would have taken him out for a ride in the morning but it just wasn't in the cards today. "Lazy hound." His voice curled in a deep Southern accent, Dolly was asleep and snoring on her back, in the middle of his bed. "For a champion bloodline, you act like a mutt." His rough hand popped her on the nose lightly, a soft growl rumbled from her chest as she rolled around in the sheets. His mom had already left with the girls to get them to school, so Shiloh took the time to lock up the house before jogging out to his truck, the old rusty box was still running despite its wear and tear. He was going to cut it a few minutes close but he would make it inside the building, his jacket slung over his shoulder, pushing his way through the crowd so he could go collect his new class schedule and start his senior year at Westbrook High, an amused grin curled on his lips as he wondered what this new day would hold for him.

Ryan had taken a drag from his cigarette as he walked on to the campus for his high school. He had sighed as he took the last drag. Was he ready to go back to school. Was he ready to see everyone again. The only one who had really talked to him was Sawyer. Grace would come by with Sawyer as well. He tried to talk to her about Ash. Maybe trying to get her to come in so that way he could appologies to her.He felt aweful for some of the thing's he said to her.

He flicked the cigarette. He was greatful that his mother, who had finally snapped out of her funk to realize that her son was hurt. She was there a week into his therapy. She had made it just a little bit better for him. He was amazed when she walked in with a prosthetic for him to use. The sock felt amazing and the prosthtic was firm and held him up. Ryan could never wear short's again, but hell he never really wore them to begin with. It was time to show his face again.

He made his way to the door. Setting his hand upon the door he slowly walked in. He smelled of cigarettes and lilacs. His mother's shampoo ofcourse. Ryan, who thought he would be restricted to a wheelchair was standing in the main enterance to the school. "I really don't feel like being here. Maybe I should talk with the nurse. See about letting me go home early with a upset stomach." He mumbled to himself. He felt the eyes watching him. Ryan was rumored to be coming back at school, and now it was true.

June
The day after the hospital trip, June spent time recovering and apologizing. She never realized how badly she was banged up when she looked in the mirror. Bruises and scars around her fists. She remember her mother visiting and crying into each other’s arms. The worst news though was no one had found Georgia at the site. She wasn’t at school anymore. But, from what Raven and Mason told her. She had a solid body of defense now.

She had spent a week baking treats for people that were affected (she was never a good baker before and it was ten times harder without an arm). She sent notes and letters. She made sure that they will all receive something on their birthday no matter how many years pass by. However, she knew no amount of apologizing could fix any damages. She may never have certain friendships when people found about about her story with Ruby. But, she found all she needed was Raven and Mason. Even as she did a horrible thing to them and others, they managed to stay. And she couldn’t be more happier with them by her side. The blogs were deleted. Everything cannot be found once more. She will start a new way.

Coming into school she headed to her locker, spinning the dial she looked at her shoulder weird to see it back to normal after having that stupid sling on forever. She looked to her cheek. The scar from the box cutter was deep, almost like a warrior scar you see in movies. She never tried to hide it, it was a waste of makeup. Rather, she just accepted it was apart of her face now. However she couldn’t help, but remember that night as she touched it.

Raven
tumblr_oz6mukCDr71ua2js1o4_540.gif
It'd been a whole month, and yet no news about her mother. From herself or the police. She wondered if they were even still looking for her. Raven adjusted the photos, cocking her head to one side. "What do you think?" She asked turning to Nancy, who just nodded and smiled. "It's perfect. I'm sure they'll love it." She gave a nod to Nancy, "Of course. Who wouldn't?" Putting the photos carefully away, and grabbing her bag. "I kind of thought you didn't do relationships?" Nancy asked, Raven shrugged and made her way towards the door. "Whoever said that? and.. anyway. It isn't a relationship, it's just homecoming." Giving her a small wave, walking out the front door. Not before hearing Nancy call out. "Mmhm. just homecoming." Raven shook her head at the words.

Making her way to school, and to newspaper. She set everything up, pinning the photos. Setting off the camera to the side. It wasn't anything special, but she thought it was kind of cool. Raven found it shopping around the local thrift stores. Making a show of dusting off her hands, and smiling at her work. Then leaving and closing the door behind her. Surprisingly, it was fairly simple to find the person she was looking for. Walking up to her and leaning against the locker. "Hey! you got the sling off." She tilted her head towards her arm.

"So, MJ. Will you do me the honor of.. following me somewhere?" She eyed her hopefully for a second. "I have something i wanna show you."

The last month had left Mason with some time to think and in the end, he had decided that sitting around not asking June out was a waste, and he needed to do so before someone else asked. So with himself still out of work, Mason started taking some odd jobs that he had originally promised himself he'd never do again. A few illegal, and a few not. Eventually, Mason had enough money to purchase the things for his proposal that he had grudgingly decided on.

It was nothing fancy -- Mason didn't really do fancy. But he had tried to dress himself up a bit more, his hair was combed nicer and... well, his pants didn't have stains so that was something. Behind his back, he held the camera he'd bought for June. He didn't understand why she didn't just use disposable, but it looked really close to the one that Georgia had destroyed.

Raven being by the locker was no bother. So Mason walked up, leaning against the locker next to June's. He gave a short nod towards Raven, and then his eyes were back on June. In one hand was the camera, which he kept hidden behind his back, and in the other was a single rose, which he passed to her before he started speaking.

"So I'm really not much for the, uh, the cute and complex. I'm really sorry for that, but uh..." Woo, this was harder to do than Mason had originally thought it would be. "Well, I thought about how you mentioned that at the party, I was your first kiss. And I got to thinking about how much it must've sucked for your first kiss to be some dude you didn't know. So I am really sorry about that, and I want to make it up to you." Here came the really hard part.

"And I mean, I've really grown to maybe kind of have a bit of a crush on you." God damn it -- were his cheeks turning red? "And I'd love to take you to Homecoming, and take you for a dance and a date that you will never forget. Like, the whole thing -- I'll take you to dinner beforehand and everything. And uh, I got this for you, too." Mason pulled the camera from behind him and held it out to June. Now, he was no longer talking -- instead, he was waiting for her answer.

The last month had finally seen the death of random dudes hitting on her, any hateful glances she got for sleeping with Ryder, and any of the other drama associated with the whole Ryan situation. She had spent the time focusing on herself, the musical, and cheerleading instead of any kind of boys. But, well, with Homecoming right around the corner and Ash still unfortunately dateless, she felt like she might actually have to start thinking about it, or just go solo.

Plus, Ryan was supposed to be coming back to school. After everything he had said, Ash had pretty much shut him out. Yes, it was horrible, but she needed time to think things over, and the stress of school had been too much. So she had ignored all of his texts, instead just deleting them to stop herself from being tempted to text him back.

But today, she wouldn't let anything get her done. So Ash made her way through the halls, stopping by Grace's locker and leaning back against the locker next to her. "So, how excited are you for Homecoming? Is it going to look great? Did Sawyer plan some super cute way to ask you?" Ash teased. Now that she knew, well, Ash realized how many things she had stupidly missed, and all decided that they easily deserved an award for being the cutest couple.

He was thankful that in the end, Nova had been able to forgive him -- even if he still wasn't super happy about the whole situation. But with Ash not actively pursuing any guy really (at least that he knew of), Jace had managed to calm down and actually focus on his own relationship with Nova. It was hard to believe that they'd already been together for just over a month. The best month of Jace's life, and he'd spent the last few weeks trying not to mess anything up for the two of them. Their relationship had had enough of a rocky start that Jace didn't want to risk anything else breaking them apart.

So he made his way through the halls, in search of Nova, before finally decided he'd just head to the music room and wait for her. Jace headed in, slipping off his backpack and throwing it on the table. Today, for the first time in probably ever, he decided not to bring his guitar with him to school. He just hadn't wanted the extra baggage, and he'd been practicing for so long with the musical coming up that he didn't even really want to practice music today. His fingers were sore from playing the same notes over and over again, trying to perfect them.

A simple month was all that Nova could've asked for. A month with no drama, no worries that she might find bruised and bloody boys in the hall, and most of all, no tears. Much to the brunette's surprise, her wish had been granted. The last thirty days were full of practices for the musical and, much to her delight, late nights in Jace's room. The last month had been spent only caring about three things; her relationship, her studies, and her friends. Drake and Alaska continued to be wonderful to her, and on the days that weren't spent with her beanie boy, they were occupied by coffee dates and movie nights, and of course the occasional diner dinner. It was as if all the fighting that Nova hated so much had led her here, to great friends and this sweet, caring boyfriend.

Of course, as she walked the halls of her school, nerves still flooded her. It was almost like a reaction at this point, some sort of weird PTSD as Nova found herself just waiting for something to happen, for a nose to be broken or a rib to be cracked. Fiddling with her thumb ring, she looked down at her outfit. It was simple, but she still hoped she looked nice enough... she was asking her boyfriend a pretty big question after all. She figured it would be to her advantage to wear his favorite thing; one of his t-shirt (a bold yellow color) tied in the front with high-waisted blue jeans that had holes here and there and, of course, her black Doc Martens. Her hair fell in loose waves around her shoulders as she walked down the hall, taking the right towards the music room and resting her hand on the handle as she got there. Taking a deep breath, Nova pushed her way in with a small grin.

"Hey, honey," The brunette cooed, hazel eyes brightening at the sight of her boy sat upon the table. He looked almost incomplete without his guitar, though Nova figured he had had about enough of it after hours and hours of musical practice. Placing her hands on the blonde's cheeks she leaned it and pressed a slow kiss to his lips, smiling as she pulled away. Wonder filled her, and she couldn't help but think of when the fluttering in her stomach might settle. But hey, it's not like she minded all that much.

Grace

Grace walked through the halls, adjusting the bag on the shoulder. Going to her locker, passing by and looking at a flyer on the wall for homecoming, Sawyer could go with her.. she smiled at the thought of it. After a few moments of thinking about it, her smile faded. She decided to join homecoming committee. She'd been a little.. down. For the past month. And it wasn't just because of cheerleading and the planning combined, or because of the meds she hadn't been taking. It was her family. Grace shook her head at the thought of it, David turned out to be not that bad of a guy.. things with June haven't been great. She'd been attempting to ignore her, knowing it wasn't her fault made her feel better, and everything that happened to June.. She was glad she was okay, But Grace wasn't ready to forgive her. She just needed time. Her mom.. well. That was a whole story.

Grace started picking at her bracelet. "Maybe i just shouldn't tell them." She told Sawyer, as soon as she said so Grace shook her head. Without letting her reply, she started talking again."No, you're right i have to." She took a deep breath, as Sawyer attempted to reassure her. Taking ahold of her hand. Kate & David made their way into the living room. Taking seats opposite from them. Kate gave a curious look towards Sawyer, "Do i know you? Are you one of Grace's friends'?" Grace's eyes widened for a second, yeah.. friend. Kate looked between the two, and to David."So you said you had something you wanted to tell us.. is this about the art classes? I already told you that you should focus on cheerleading. There isn't time for-" Grace cut her off, shaking her head. "No, i know, it's just- It's something different.." She took a deep breath. That feeling in the pit of her stomach coming back, she winced as though it was actually hurting her. "Okay, so. I- um." Grace didn't know how to say it, she turned towards Sawyer biting her lip. "I don't know how to tell you." Grace admitted quietly looking towards David as if he'd help her, but he didn't even know the situation. "All this time i- no, that's not.." She sighed heavily. Before trying again. "Okay, you ask a lot about dating.. and boys.. and stuff.. and you know I usually don't bring a guy back for you to meet or anything, and that's because i don't think that-" This isn't helping Grace, you're not making sense. Kate looked towards her and back to Sawyer, putting two and two together.

"Grace, stop it. No you're not." Kate said, seemingly with no emotion. Grace blinked in surprise. "..What?" No, i'm telling you mom.. just listen." She tried to get her attention, but Kate just kept on rambling. "I don't understand what you're trying to say." It seemed like Kate knew exactly what she was trying to say, David opened his mouth to speak, putting a hand out to keep Kate in her seat, but she swatted him away. "You should let her talk." David told her, giving a sympathetic look towards Grace. Kate shook her head. "You've brought back that boy, once.. what was his name.." She trailed off in thought, and Grace just looked away from her and spoke quietly

"I was like 12..Why are you being like this why can't you-"

"Because you're not! you can't be!" Kate yelled. Her eyes filling with tears. And Grace flinched visibly. David put a hand on Kate's shoulder, attempting to calm her down. "I don't understand why i can't be. Because i am. Mom, i'm gay." Grace told her, as she stood up. She crossed her arms, looking her directly in the eye, ignoring the lump in her throat, she looked determined, or at least she tried to. But she felt broken. As she spoke, quickly wiping away a tear that fell. "I like girls." Her voice breaking as Kate just stared at her, she didn't say anything. She just shook her head. It wasn't because she didn't say anything that hurt Grace, it was because she looked at her like she was a disappointment. Like she wasn't her daughter. And that hurt so much. Kate turned around and left the room, exiting through the front door with a slam. David stood up from his seat. Walking over towards Grace.

He turned to Sawyer. "So, i'm guessing.." He looked between the two. And nodded. "I'm happy for you both." He said to them. "She just needs time. It's okay." But it wasn't okay. It didn't feel okay. David gave a last look at her, putting a hand on her arm softly. Before going after Kate.

Grace stumbled back towards the couch, sitting down. "She'll learn to be okay with it." Grace doubted it. "It'll work out." It won't. "I'm fine." She wasn't.

She jumped when Ash spoke, turning her way. She gave her a small smile. "Super excited. It'll look amazing, i'll make sure of it. And... not sure." She talked about all things at once before closing her locker. And giving Ash her full attention. "So." Grace started, "Have you talked to Ryan?" Grace had to ask, she talked to Ryan a few times, and he mentioned talking to Ash. "..I think he wants to apologize. You two should talk." Telling her softly. Ryan had been harsh, but he just wants to make up for it.
