Sawyer
Ash was totally right. She would do this for Ryan. A new found resolve bubbled up in Sawyer as she listened to Grace throw out play ideas. Sawyer frowned at the mention of High School Musical and almost jumped up to chide her girlfriend for suggesting such a thing when Grease popped up. That wasn't a terrible idea. Easy costumes, popular play, totally a crowd drawer. That could work. Sawyer couldn't be more disappointed that Ash had situated herself in between the two of them.

"Honestly, that's actually a really good suggestion." Sawyer nodded before realizing she was just nodding at a ceiling and sat up, "It's not too terribly hard to sing and we have costumes that would work already." She tapped her chin in thought, "We just need two lead roles that can sing decently and we'll be good to go." She smiled down at Grace, a sort of lopsided dopey grin.

"You are a total genius, my dear."

Nova

Nova's shoulders rolled back from their tense state as she listened to the girl across from her unfold about what had happened. It sounded like a lot, all at once, and the fact that Alaska wasn't having a complete mental breakdown impressed the hell out of the brunette. One girl screams at Nova, and she booked it out of there faster than you could say 'thirsty bitch' again.

"I don't think he hates you," Nova gave a small smile, shaking her head before resting her elbows onto the table. Her words and advice were unsolicited, but if there was one thing on this earth that she was confident about it was her ability to see from both perspectives, and mediate. "I think..." A purse coming to her lips, Nova sighed and shook her head as if to clear the overthinking that she was already doing. Taking a bite of her melting mint chip, she continued, "I think you were both in the wrong in different ways, to be honest with you," Her words were blunt, but somehow also laced with the kind of care that only a best friend could give. Even if she had only met Alaska, she had been the first girl to make any sort of effort to become Nova's friend. "It sounds like he was dumb for resorting to violence first, it doesn't solve anything and he ended up getting the shit beat out of him. And I think you..." Nova paused to take another bite, and really think about her words. She knew what she wanted to say, but again, didn't want to overstep. Taking a breath, Nova met Alaska's eyes and gave her a small shrug. "I think you have an overprotective brother who loves you very much, and it can get annoying when he's getting in the way of you trying to figure out a love life. I'm not saying punching him was the best way to handle it but... I don't think it's so big that bringing him ice cream can't fix it." The brunette's eyes crinkled at the corners as her smile widened. Nova felt oddly comfortable with Alaska, and hoped that this was the beginning of a friendship. She sure did need one.

Thinking of friendships, Nova looked down at her phone that was rested on the table, clicking the lock button to make the screen light up. She had no texts from Jace, no social media notifications, just a message from her mom telling her that she would call in her absences. It was semi-defeating, but at this point, Nova didn't want to try and unravel what the West family thought of her.

Ash

Grace was a genius. Ash sat up quickly as Sawyer agreed as well, grinning widely. "Oh my goodness, that's the perfect thing." She hopped up, grabbing Sawyer's and Grace's hands and pulling them up with her. "And the dance moves aren't like, that terrible to do! We can totally teach everyone how to do it!" The magic of the theater, something that Ash had avoided for the last couple years, came rushing back and she couldn't believe how quickly her mood turned to excited for this.

"I did dance until like, end of freshman year, so I can totally help out with that." Ash said, jumping a bit in excitement. End of freshman year, after her mother had left and she finally decided that she couldn't keep going. But back then, Ash hadn't been half bad, and dancing was like riding a bike... or so she hoped. "And like, singing isn't super hard. If we find people that we really like for the leads and the other roles, I can just help them out to get their voices right."

Ash turned away from the girls to look out over the auditorium, at all the seats that she could imagine being filled with people there to see them try and put on Grease. She then turned back, grabbing their hands again and jumping. "Just imagine it. Like, opening up with Summer Nights. The boys on that side, girls on this side." Ash hopped her way over to the side of the stage where she dictated the girls would be and turned back around, starting to dance a little and hum the song to herself. "God, this will be perfect."

Alaska

The brunette decided to take Nova's advise to talk to her brother about what had happened in the hallway earlier and apologize for breaking his nose. The chocolate ice cream was her backup plan. The car ride was quiet as Alaska considered what she would say to her twin, unable to think about how she would react if he yelled at her. As tough as she liked to portray herself as, Alaska couldn't take being yelled at by the people she scared about. Anyone else she didn't give a damn about, but it killed her to know she disappointed the people she loved.

Alaska unlocked the front door to find Ryder on the couch, holding an ice pack to his nose as he flipped through the tv channels, his eyes immediately falling on her as she walked into the foyer. The football player froze at the sight of his sister, preparing for an angry tirade but instead he was surprised to see the attractive brunette from earlier walk through the door behind her.

'Hey...I skipped school to come check on you." That was a lie. "Nova drove me...she wanted to check on you." Alaska explained, fidgeting nervously as she waited to see how her twin would react to her presence. Hopefully Nova would be a good buffer. Slowly she walked towards him and offered him the cup of slowly melting ice cream, earning a weak smile from him.

"You're the girl who took her shirt off to help me?" Ryder asked, though he was concussed he would never forget something like that. "Thanks a lot for that. I wouldn't have helped me after I threw you into the ocean."

Nova

The tension in the living room was so heavy from the minute that Ryder laid eyes on Alaska. So heavy that it felt like a weighted blanket was being put around Nova's shoulders. Even this confident, radiating girl beside her seemed to shrink at the sight of her brother, and it felt like that was going to last forever... until it didn't.

Nova perked up as the broken boy on the couch addressed her, a blush dusting her cheeks as she chuckled a little. She wondered if that had really been too much, if she had made a fool of herself, but with the day she was having, she decided that she just didn't care. "Yeah, that was uh... that was me." A meek hand rose into the air for just a second, as if she was admitting to eating the last cookie or something. Not wanting to just stand in the hallway, Nova made her way to the ottoman sitting a little ways away from the couch that Ryder was settled on, offering him an apologetic smile. "I'm really sorry that this happened to you," She whispered in that famous, soothing coo of hers. She had no clue how she managed it, making her voice sound like honey in tough times, but sometimes she wished it had the same affect when it came to getting out of trouble.

Focusing back on Ryder he... well he looked like shit. His jaw was dark, laced with bruises, and she was sure that his stomach probably looked the same. A thick bandage when around his nose, his eyes a little swollen, and he still seemed a little out of it from the concussion. Nova turned to Alaska, as if she could magically heal him with some sort of funky twin power, then let her lip jut forward in the slightest bit to form a pout. "Maybe," The brunette sighed, pushing a hand through her hair to get it away from her face, "Maybe you shouldn't go around punching people... just a thought?"

Wendy backed off after Kacey shoved her. Even after someone jumped onto the stage, the tension between them lingered. Kacey marched past Wendy, heading outside and lighting a cigarette. Wendy rubbed her shoulder from when Kacey had hit it, shaking a little from that shove she received.

Ryder/Alaska

Nova was intriguing, she barely knew him and the first impression she'd had of him had been being thrown into the ocean without him even asking her name, yet she'd been willing to stop what she was doing and get involved in the mess of a situation without reason. Not many people would've done that, hell Ash and Nova had been the only two to check on him. Everyone was too busy with their own shit to care about anyone else.

His smile weakened as she mentioned the fight, looking towards his sister to see the guilty look that colored her face. They would be having a long talk later, his mother had already screamed at him over the phone once she'd been notified from the hospital. Heather Vaughn had a reputation to protect and her twins putting each other in the hospital didn't exactly fit that.

"I won't punch anyone as long as Alaska doesn't feel the need to makeout with assholes." Ryder commented, looking pointedly at the brunette who was standing awkwardly against the wall. While he was mostly understanding of his sister being upset with him for the whole incident, he was still mad at her for having kissed Kanen in the first place.

"Seriously? You have such a strong opinion for someone who- Nevermind." Alaska was ready to rip into her brother for being a hypocrite and not telling her what had happened between him and Ash, but in front of Nova wasn't the best place. They probably didn't want the entire school to know, and while she doubted Nova would spread rumors she just wanted to be sure.

"I'm leaving. You and I will deal with this later." She spat, picking up her purse and keys before turning to the brunette on the couch. "Nova I'm really sorry, I think we should hangout another time, today's the best day." Alaska apologized, striding towards the door without a second glance at her brother.

"You can always stay and hangout with me." Ryder offered, earning an eye roll from his sister. Was he gonna sleep with this new friend too? She waited anxiously for Nova to answer, a little disappointed when Nova chose to stay and hangout with Ryder but promising that the two girls would hangout soon.

"Sorry you had to see that..." The jock apologized once his sister was gone, feeling bad for instigating her while Nova was around. Probably wasn't helping their image in her eyes considering she'd seen Alaska break his nose earlier. They were a dysfunctional family, but usually nowhere near this dysfunctional. "I didn't know you were friends with my sister?"

Nova

Not wanting to be the one getting in the way of the twins trying to work it out, Nova sat quietly on the ottoman as they got into it. She figured it was healthy, sometimes fighting was really healthy, and she couldn't help but let her mind wander back to the auditorium. Would she have to fight with Ash to resolve things? Or worse, with Jace?" Everything in her said no, it wouldn't com to that, but the pessimist in her soul said otherwise. None the less, it didn't take long before Alaska decided to head out, leaving Nova and Ryder all alone... in this huge house... in a neighborhood that the petite brunette was not familiar with. Prayers that Ryder wasn't a hot serial killer were silently sent.

She quickly shook away the apology that Ryder attempted to give, laughing and little and shrugging her shoulders. "I guess we kinda became friends like... two hours ago," She nodded, pursing her lips as she thought about the timeline. "Things got a little out of hand with this girl Ash and uh... well let's just say your sister was the only one that thought to check up on me. It surprised the hell out of me," Subtle laughter fell from Nova's lips as she filtered a hand through her hair, turning a bit to see the screen and smiling wide. "You've got good taste in movies, I'll give you that much," Getting up, the brunette moved to the big arm chair that was by the couch, slightly in front of the end of it so that she could still make eye contact with Ryder. He seemed... sweet. And it made Nova wonder why the hell he was going around hitting people. "Also," Nova pulled the sleeves of her sweater over her knuckles, blushing once again before turning her attention to Ryder. Her voice was almost too quiet, just barely loud enough to hear over the TV as she bent her knees to her chest and asked "You're not gonna let me live down the shirt thing, huh?"

Nova was great at making friends in the right situation, and this was no different. Ryder seemed nice, he was certainly protected, and damn it if Nova didn't have a thing for the emotionally and mentally broken.

Alaska

In her rage, Alaska had forgotten that she actually needed somewhere to go, but anywhere was better than home right now. There wasn't really anyone Alaska was close to besides Drake, who had stayed at school, and there was no way she was talking to Chase about this. Instead of opting to drive around for a few hours alone, Alaska called a new number in her phone saved under Kaden and tried not to sound desperate as she asked him to meet her somewhere, anywhere.

The athlete leaned against her car as she waited for Kanen, tracing the pattern of the cracked concrete beneath her boot as she pondered what the hell she was going to do when she got home. The anger had dulled since she'd left, but it was infuriating that her brother acted like he knew what was best for her when he barely kept his own life together. Sure, Kanen may have rubbed some people the wrong way but he had been nothing but friendly with Alaska. More than friendly.

To hell with what that idiot thought, she was going to see for herself what Kanen was really like, not what everyone portrayed him to be. She also wanted someone to confide in about the Ash situation, and he seemed like he'd be able to keep her secret. At this point, she didn't care if the two's secret got exposed. They deserved each other.

Approaching footsteps caught her attention, her seafoam-colored gaze darting up to meet Kanen as a smile danced across her lips. "Hey. Wasn't sure you'd come." She admitted, standing up-right from where she was leaned against her car.

Ryder

It was surprising to hear Alaska had made a friend, because while the twins were well-known and fairly friendly they both tended to keep to themselves. Especially after what had happened today Ryder couldn't imagine his twin opening up enough to make a friend. Then again, apparently he didn't know her as well as he thought he had.

"I'm glad you're a fan, we'll have to invite you over the next time we binge watch all of the Avengers movies." The one single thing besides hockey that all three siblings could agree on was their ability to watch every Marvel movie ever made again and again without getting bored. The three had spent most of their childhood curled up in a blanket fort watching movies. It hurt to think that perhaps their movie marathons were coming to an end.

"Nope, you'll always be shirt girl." Ryder chuckled at her comment, shaking his head as he recalled the shock of that moment. He was concerned when she mentioned his best friend (if he could still call her that) wondering what she'd gotten herself into this time. "Wait...what happened with Ash? If you don't mind me asking." He was caught off guard to hear Ash had gotten out of hand with the sweet girl who had treated his wounds. Of course she'd seemed upset earlier, but what would that have to do with Nova?

Martin was in the middle of ordering a tall latte when his colleague, Elise, came up to him. ‘Oh, goodness me, what a coincidence!’ he said with a warm smile, extending his arm for a handshake, ‘Call me Martin, please, just Martin.’

It was a pleasant kind of coincidence. Only last week they were talking about having coffee together, but they never got round to arranging a time. ‘If you’re not in too much of a hurry, would you like to have that coffee now?’ He checked his watch. ‘I've got an hour or so before my next lecture.’ Just enough time to sit around and relax and chat about academic things.

'My son's all better. Actually he's back at school today, looking very sharp.' He smothered himself with Martin's expensive cologne. 'He's a pretty cheerful lad you know, you wouldn't know he was sick looking at him. Anyway, thanks for asking.'

Martin smiled. 'Look, will you not let me buy you a coffee?’ He turned round to the server, who was writing his name on the cup with the felt-tip pen. ‘You can put her order on my card as well.’

June
She sat on the auditorium chairs watching everyone move about. She was almost thrilled to be doing Grease. But a sense of dread had filled her at this point.

Earlier as everyone started to leave for one reason or another, June couldn’t handle the thoughts she had any longer. Everyone has secrets. What consumes them and what consumes you? Secrets. She wanted to know. She wanted to know everyone’s secret. She didn’t want to be alone in this burning of her heart. She wanted to know others were burning too. Slowly, she got up and made her way to the door. Sneaking out she could only hear the echoes of conversation. But she could hear Ash and Grace.

Just as Ash started to tell her story, she looked over to see others walking out. Panicked, she saw a gap between the lockers besides the auditorium doors. She pressed her back against it and hide as she heard the doors opening and closing. However nothing was louder than Ash’s words.

She slept with him huh? She thought and flinched as Grace suggested they go back. Quickly, June walked back in and found herself sitting right back where she was before.

She looked down at her phone now and raised it setting a reminder to write more before looking at the stage. She raised her hand and yelled to them. “Who is what role?” She decided she might as well help now.

Kanen had just been relaxing down by the boardwalk, doing his best to cool down, forgive. But it wasn't happening. Kanen was still fuming when Alaska called him. He still wanted to get everyone back and have the last word. It was childish, and he knew it, but Kanen didn't really care about that at the moment.

He had been all too willing to meet Alaska when she reacted him, approaching the car with a soft smile. "I had nothing better to do"

Jace

Eventually, Jace had taken his guitar and headed outside to skip classes while he debated on what to do about Nova. He hadn't talked to Ash about her little outburst yet and to be perfectly honest, he had no interest in doing so. At least not until she calmed down and he had time to makeup to Nova, and finish cleaning up his stupid sister's messes. Then he would only talk to her to force her to come up with the best apology ever for Nova, along with cookies or something.

Jace headed towards the currently abandoned football field, and climbed his way up the bleachers until he found the perfect spot about part way up. Sitting down, and humming quietly to himself, Jace situated the guitar on his lap, and started to play. He had to get this song perfect, otherwise Nova might officially leave him for having the worst sister ever and for being a liar about his mad music skills. However, Jace had practiced this song before, even if it had been a few months since he last played it.

Finally, he laid the guitar on his lap and pulled out his phone, looking down at Nova's number. Should he call, or just text? Obviously Jace much preferred to talk on the phone, but he was worried that that would go about as well as earlier and trying to talk to Nova did. So he settled on a simple text for now:

Nova, please call me. I'm sorry and I'm worried about you. Just let me know that you're alright. Please. I don't care what Ash said, everyone knows that she was wrong.

Mason

Well, everything had exploded way too quickly. One moment they were casually discussing the dumbest idea ever, and the next, people were yelling and fighting and Nova, Ash, Kanen, Grace, Jace, and Neck-Tie had departed from the auditorium in general. Not one to typically stick around places, Mason hopped up, tapping Alester with one of his crutches. "You coming, man? No point in hanging around now." Everyone was leaving, and Mason would be damned if he'd stay behind.

So he pushed his way out of the aisle, glaring down at Drake who had successfully somehow fallen asleep in one of the chairs amidst all the fighting. This was probably better than high Drake trying to learn, so Mason just left him. "So, she said we're outta classes for the day to work on this musical. Wanna skip and do something actually fun?" Mason asked. He stopped in the aisle to wait for Alester, and his eyes trailed over the stragglers still left behind. Including June for a moment, who was too invested in what was going on, so he shook his head and started his way out of the auditorium.

Elise Daniels

"Martin it is, then," Elise replied, smiling gingerly as she did so. At the offer of coffee now... well Elise did have things to do, but she could easily push those aside for the time being if it meant spending longer with Martin. He was intriguing, and kind of attractive -- and happily single. Hey, Elise wasn't interested in him just for those reasons, mind you. He also loved his son or something. Whatever. Either way, she was more than happy to take him up on that offer.

"I would love to join you for a coffee," she purred, her smile widening as she said so. At the mention of his son, Elise nodded her head as she listened. "I'm so glad to hear that. From what you said, he seems like such a sweet boy. And like he has a wonderful sense of humor." She thought back to the slideshow highlighting so many pictures of Stu, Martin, and the rest of the family still living with his ex-wife overseas. What a shame that she was so far away.

"I had no idea you were such a gentleman." Elise teased. She stepped forward, glancing up at the menu once more. "A caramel macchiato, please. Medium." Once finished ordering, she stepped back to stand beside Martin once more.

She could’ve cared less, about the fighting She thought it was just plain stupid that nobody could get over themselves to help the people at actually needed it. Maybe on a different day with different circumstances, she would’ve cared about the drama. But Raven at this point, was just checking her phone. As if refreshing it every 5 minutes would somehow tell her where her mother is. It was eating at her, maybe if she found out where she was, she’ll just turn herself in. Which was a terrible feeling itself. She didn’t want her mother to go to jail, she hardly sees her, sure. But..

She looked up when she saw June enter, Raven sighed. Putting her phone away, she looked around the auditorium, she wasn’t helping by just sitting here, So let’s help..? She walked behind where June was sitting. “Why’d you ask?” She looked at the girl, tiliting her head to one side. “Trying out?” She asked, Raven was flirting in good intentions, as always. She chuckled before speaking again. “I’m sure we could have a private audition, should you want to.” Taking a seat next to her.

She looked at to the stage, talking to the three girls. “But yeah, MJ’s right. Who’s the director and all that?”

Grace

Grace smiled, watching her friend’s excitement. “Yeah, i think so too.” Agreeing with Ash’s view of perfect. She watched Sawyer for a few moments. What? Nobody was looking. Even though it was a sad time for everyone, she liked being with them both. Her best friend and girlfriend. Which Ash knows nothing about.. she furrowed her brows, and her smile faded, now discontent that she thought about it.

Her attention was grabbed by June and Raven asking questions, “I could do flyers and stuff.” Not mentioning that she’ll attempt to design it herself, it probably wouldn’t work out anyway. “We’ll decide a director, amongst ourselves.”

“And will figure out who’s role is who. Like..June!” She turned towards her, talking to her from the stage. “You could play frenchie.” Smiling, she shrugged.

Only if you’re cool with it though.” She told her. Hoping her non-sister would say yes. Then turning towards Ash she spoke again.

“You’re blonde! I mean..so am i, but that’s the not the point. You can sing! And dance. Who’s better for the part of sandy other then you?” She asked.

She flinched visibly as Raven snuck up behind her. Rolling her eyes she watched Raven sit down besides her. “I don’t know, I feel like we should know before getting started.” She said with a shrug and looked at the stage, totally disregarding her flirtatious remark. However she couldn’t miss the nickname. “MJ huh...” She mumbled. Then she was surprised to hear Grace call out and say she was gonna play Frenchy. She shrunk in her seat, she would have quickly said no. She had no clue how to act, sing, or dance. However it’s to help others. She couldn’t deny helping others so she nodded. “I guess I’m playing Frenchy.” She said with a sigh to Raven. “If I’m playing a role are you going to play someone?” She asked, she didn’t wanna be in this alone.

At Grace's suggestion, Ash froze on her spot on stage. She probably would've denied it, urging someone else to, but she could see how nervous June was, even though she agreed to be in it. And that gave her some kind of confidence. Plus, with all the bad things happening right now, this would be a great chance to get her mind off everything and focus on something good.

"Of course Raven will play something." Ash said as she crossed the stage, smiling at June and Raven and holding her hand out to June. These two had been with her on that questionable Saturday night, when Ash had been reeling from thinking Ryan had ditched her, and then had made the ill decision to sleep with Ryder. But either way, she was glad that both girls had tried to make her feel better. "Come on up here, Frenchy." She grinned, and pulled June on stage after she took her hand.

"I'll play Sandy as long as no one else wants the role." She promised Grace, although her smile was weak. Ash had never performed in front of an audience, but hey, it was for the victims of Kanen and Ryan. She would do whatever it took to help them out.

Raven noticed the way she made herself smaller, “And I’m sure you’ll be great playing her.” She reassured her. Raven raised a brow when June asked. “It depends. Do you want me to?” It was an actual question, and for the first time.. Not a flirty remark. However Ash answered the question for her. She replied anyway, “There’s your answer.” Raven shrugged. She could tell June was nervous about it. If she could help, why wouldn’t she?

Raven wasn’t really a theatre kind of girl, but she never tried it. There’s a first time for everything, and if she didn’t like it. It didn’t matter, she was doing this for Ryan.

“So, we’ve got our Sandy. Who were you thinking for her infamous love interest?” She asked, it was kind of sad that most of the guys have been hospitalized, and broken. By each other.. hey, boys will be boys. Right? And by that she meant idiotic and reckless, but males nonetheless.

Nova
701b4a25a2d7ff613a15b97633bea635.gif
Nova physically tightened as Ryder asked what had happened with Ash, dismissing his playful comment from earlier. Hazel eyes darted down to her hands as they fidgeted, trying to keep them busy because maybe if she twiddled her thumbs slow enough, thinking about every centimeter of skin, then it would hold back the tears. So far, it was working pretty well. It was apparent that Ash knew the broken boy that had laid beside Nova, and cared for him greatly. So choosing her words correctly was an absolute must. Taking a deep breath and tracing her thumb ring, the brunette shrugged her shoulders.

"She uh..." A strong start indeed. Nova had to pause to take a deep breath, closing her eyes. She didn't way Ryder to think that she was gossiping, she just wasn't the type to do so. All she wanted was to explain, because Ryder deserved that, right? Right. "I'm kind of seeing her brother," The girl's voice leveled a bit as she turned to face the tanned boy on the couch, biting the corner of her lip to push back any oncoming tears that had any bright ideas of falling down. "And she got into this screaming match with Kanen in the gym, and brought up his dad which was apparently a sore spot and uh... she just... she looked like she needed to get out of there," No tears Nova. Deep breaths. "So I went up and kinda took her arm and said we should sit down, and that it wasn't worth it and she lashed out a bit... and it's not like I don't get that she had already had a hard day, what with Ryan and now you," A weak smile graced a sad face as she met Ryder's eyes momentarily. He seemed like he was intently listening, and for the first time in her life, the brunette couldn't decide if she liked being listened to or not. "She was angry," The words were almost pointed by the time she arrived at that conclusion, looking back down to her hands, her head nodding only once. "So when we were all in the auditorium, in front of everyone, she pulled away from me and called me a 'thirsty bitch' who was trying to steal her brother."

In an attempt to lighten the mood, Nova chuckled a little under her breath. 'Thirsty bitch' was not one she would be forgetting anytime soon, as it was definitely a first. It wasn't until Nova's phone buzzed that she noticed the one, single tear trailing down to her chin. Her eyes had betrayed her... what a bitch. Digging for her phone in her jean's pocket, Nova pulled it out and read the text from Jace with a faint frown. Jace was worried, and of course he was. It wasn't lost on the hazel eyed girl that she was the blonde's first girlfriend, and after what had happened in the auditorium, she would've been worried too (had it been somehow flipped). Although still, talking to him wasn't something that Nova really wanted to do at the moment. In fact, right now the only people Nova wanted to converse with was her friend here with the busted nose and Alaska. Typing out a quick reply, she hit the send button and tossed her phone onto the ottoman, away from her, where it belonged. "Pretty cool huh? Third week at a new school and I'm already the bitch trying to steal the popular girl's big brother," Sarcasm was Nova's only defense right now, as she otherwise really wanted to just crawl into a whole. Although, Ryder's company wasn't bad and if she could, she would've stayed all night to binge watch movies. After all, it was the only thing that Nova really wanted in that current state.

Right after he spoke up hell broke loose. Alester didn't really pay too much attention to it since he didn't wanted to have to do anything with it. Soon after that everyone left and Mason asked him if he wanted to do the same "Alright, I just have something to say"

Alester jumped onto the podium and placed his hands around his mouth to be better heard "Listen up gals and female gals. I will be directing this play with someone else. Any volunteer? Preferbably female because mixed pairing rocks" He then coughs dramaticly "Alright, so the auditions will be tomorrow. For today I need my brain to work on full speed. I need to figure out how to safe y'all from ending yourselves. Everyone who is not here, and I know who was here, will get shit roles. So Condragulations to yourselves, you got the best roles" He then stepped of the podium and caught up with Mason.

Alester had never done anything like this, but nobody knew that. Alester was good in leading and convincing people so that could be useful here. Hopefully the girls talking about the musical wouldn't be too upset about Alester directing.

Grace rolled her eyes at Alester. She mouthed ‘Gals and female gals?’ To Ash, she waited until he finished talking, “I’ll direct with you.” She shrugged. “Sounds like fun.” Grace was a bit surprised at Alester’s words, but she was sure whoever got the other roles would deserve them.

“Uh, okay.” She said as he walked out. Turning to the rest of the girls. “Maybe um..” She didn’t want to suggest Ryder for the part, considering what happened between him and Ash, And how she was upset about it. “We want our own twist on things, right? Maybe we don’t need a guy to play Danny.” She told them.

She remembered after a minute, they were love interests. Yeah, but Grace wasn’t either of them. So she was safe for the time being. “Guys, are..great though. I just mean because...” oh my god, why do you do this to yourself.

“Hey! Chase is...hot? What about him?” She asked, only freaking out just a bit.

June
June was about to reply to Raven with a “Well of course, I’ll pass out if I do it alone.” Until Ash sort of helped with that by telling Raven she’ll have a part. Which made June smile. Although she was nervous going on stage, she grabbed Ash’s hand and got up. Even though it felt like fire running through her fingertips as she felt guilty for easedropping on the conversation.

Then she heard Ash say she was gonna be Sandy. “You’ll be a great Sandy.” She said with a small smile then looked to Raven over Danny. She instantly wanted to deny Ryder from even touching the role after what she heard, but kept her mouth shut tight as Grace suggested girls... then guys. June gave her a quick ‘you-are-obvious-sometimes’ look before quickly jumping on the idea of boys in order to help. “Yeah! Chase could be a good Danny.” She wasn’t even sure who Chase was.

Ash

Ash suddenly realized that the only options for Danny came down to either Ryder, Chase, or Stu. And Stu was obviously out of the question. So her choices were between her maybe still BFF, maybe not BFF Ryder, or his brother. To kiss. And dance with. And pretended to be in love with. Typically, Ash wouldn't have cared given the fact that it was a play, and stage kisses were just that. Stage kisses with no feelings associated (even though a lot of actors would end up together after doing romance movies or plays together -- just saying, but that was something she didn't want to worry about), but this was an entirely different issue.

She looked over at Grace, hoping that she could see the distress on her face. "So for Danny... We've got Chase... Or Ryder... Right?" She was just clarifying it for herself more than anything, but she tried to shake off everything and replace her worry with a bright smile. She didn't want anyone else thinking something might be wrong, after all. "Well, either or works, right? We'll just pick the one who can sing better." She laughed, but it was weak and uncomfortable. There was of course the history with Ryder, but Ash's last boyfriend who had moved across the country after punching a guy for Ash (long story), and then promptly cheated on her. Yeah, his name had been Chase so even if they weren't the same person, the name in general reminded her of bad memories.

"Anyway, June, can you sing? Like at all?" Ash smiled at her. "Or dance? If not I can totally help you. It's super easy, and we'll make this place great. Frenchy has a solo, too." Well that probably didn't make June feel better.

Grace smiled toward June, ‘thanks for saving me’ kind of smile. turned to Ash, and gave her a sympathetic look, when she talked about who to cast. “Well..” she nodded. Chase or Ryder seemed to be the only choices at the moment. whether it was one of the two, Ash probably didn’t feel comfortable with either of them.

Grace placed a hand on Ash’s shoulder, just to be comforting enough where’d she’d stop stressing about it.

“Yeah, Ash can help.” She told June, “And..don’t worry about the solo.” She looked towards Ash. She wasn’t supposed to mention that part yet.

Raven nodded in agreement. “Don’t worry about anything, you’ll be fine.” She reassured her. It was monotone while she was checking her phone again, but it was the truth. Raven believed she had it in the bag. Putting her phone away, and making herself more comfortable in the chair.

“Rehearsal‘s a thing, we can smooth out any bumps along the way.” She explained.

“What’s next?”

Sawyer
Suddenly they were all throwing out casting ideas and June and Rsven had appeared. Alester announced he would direct and Grace offered up her services to help him. Sawyer sat herself in her comfy prop chair as the rest of the girls excitedly decided their roles.

"I can tell you one thing, " Sawyer spoke up from her seat, "You'll catch me dead before I put a skirt on so you can either cast me as a dude or stick me on lights." She could do lights just as well as she could act but Sawyer could also sing so she assumed they'd want her for something. Maybe ensemble would be better, but then again she couldn't dance to save her life. Sawyer shrugged she honestly couldn't care less, she would let them decide where to stick her.
