Well shit... that hadn't gone exactly as Nova had expected. Ian's sudden flight from the cafeteria seemed to happen in a flash, his blonde head blurring as he sprinted from their seats in the back corner. That same wrenching twist grabbed hold of her stomach once more, the brunette physically wincing as she sat there, dumbfounded on what she should do. For a moment, the only thing she could do was stare at the well loved notebook that followed Ian wherever he went. As fast as it had happened, Nova distinctly remembered that familiar move of her boyfriend's hand clutching his shoulder, fingertips digging in as if he wanted to rip off the skin. It was something he did often when under pressure, from the little time they had spent together she had gathered that much, but what it meant... well, was still a mystery.
Wasting no more time, Nova hurriedly gathered Ian's things and made her way out of the cafeteria, darting through classmates and stretching up onto her tiptoes to find out where her boyfriend was exactly going. It was a small flash of yellow hair that peaked her interest as it was quickly shut behind the... the janitor's closet? Seemed well enough to her. Brows knit together, the brunette approached the door quickly, though her tapping footsteps slowed the closer she became. What if Ian wanted to be alone? Well, that didn't seem like a really good idea. All Nova wanted to do was help, all she ever wanted to do was help, but as per example of Ash last semester, sometimes her help wasn't nearly as wanted as she hoped it would be.
Knock, knock.
"Ian?" Her voice was smooth as velvet, sincere and filled with concern.
Two more knocks.
"Ian, please..."
No answer.
With a deep breath, Nova grabbed the handle to the closet and twisted it slowly, cracking the door just enough to slip in. It was dark, but there was a small light that dimly lit the area surrounding them. Ian's hands were practically gnawing at his shoulders, as if a monster was attacking his back and he was desperately trying to free himself. Dropping the bags and pushing them against the corner, the petite brunette girl slotted herself in front of her boyfriend, hands reaching up to cup either side of his face as hazel eyes searched bright greens. "Hey hey, sh sh sh..." Was all that could fall from her lips as she witnessed the almost panic-attack state that Ian was slipping into, one that she didn't know if she would help or hinder.
"I'm here, I'm right here, it's okay, I'm here."

Just as she was about to ask about the 'kid that got destroyed', two figures ran out into the hall that was slowly beginning to fill, both booking for the janitor's closet. God, this place was weird... anyway. "Who got destroyed? Was there a fight?" Dani's eyes rolled before leaning back onto her locker, examining the excitement that spread across Milos' face. He loved this sort of gossip, this sort of thing that spread quickly throughout the school and became something of a Soap opera. It was one of the things that made him adorable. In a strictly platonic way.

Danielle
"I am not a goody girl!" Dani gaped, playfully hitting Milos' shoulder with her jaw dropped. It's not that she was some perfect angel, god, she wasn't boring. Dani just preferred to do her drinking in the comfort of her mostly empty home (what with traveling parents). Being out at high school parties, girls in mini skirts doing shots, it was all... a lot. In general this school was a lot. Though she knew her friend was only teasing, it was still something that she may have been a little self conscious about. "And it's not that I'm 'too cool'," Insert the finger air quotes here, "It's just that the cafeteria is filled with cheerleaders screaming about their new lip gloss and fixing each other's hair in mini skirts while guys gawk at their asses." And while it was true, maybe it also had to do with the amount of women in the lunch room in general. She much preferred to eat somewhere else... anywhere else.
