No, I don't have too many characters.
Mason
This was weird, to have Stu burying his face in his shirt, and also kind of nasty. There was so much blood, and now so many tears and... gross, snot. He wrapped his arms around Stu awkwardly, pulling him into a gentle hug. "It's okay, Stu. You'll be okay." He whispered, and looked back towards the door as Noah came in. What the hell was right.
"I don't fucking know! I just found him like this!" Mason was still panicking. How was it that he'd started off this year hating this kid, but now he actually kind of felt bad for the kid. Not even just bad, he felt pissed at whoever had done this shit. Mason had seen plenty of kids broken and bleeding like this, but he'd never felt this upset about it.
But now was not the time to panic. He tried to keep a clear head on his shoulders. "Noah, go get a car. Meet me out front." Mason didn't actually know if Noah had a car, but fuck, maybe he could get someone else's if he didn't. He turned away from his friend back to Stu, his arms still carefully wrapped around the kid in comfort.
He waited until Noah had left, and then took in a deep breath, steadying his nerves. Stu couldn't walk, at least not without a lot of help. "Stu, we're gonna head outside now, okay?" He asked, standing up and carefully pulling the small boy to his feet. He ignored any cries of pain, instead trying to tell himself that it was for the best. Neck Tie had to get to the hospital.
