We're The Animals Of The School

(I am going to go to sleep, Good night.)

Alissa grunted at the high cabinet, 'Good thing its out of my reach." she was kind of short not to bad, but she was about the height of a thirteen year old. She then pulled out some pasta, and different kinds of seasonings, spices, and a sauce, her Italian side began to show as she began to cook.

((Night dood))

"You like Italian food too?" Xan smiled broadly. Though he may not have had Italian blood in his family, he still loved pasta anyway. It was his favorite type of food, especially fettuccine alfredo with shrimp. Xan curiously watched Alissa easily pick out ingredients like she knew them from heart. "You must be a good cook?" he asked her.

Alissa nodded and smiled "I started at a young age, just as you, my parents never came home often, my brother just ate pizza and soda, i learned to cook on my own i guess, a few helpful hints here and there..." she smelt the warm delicious aroma from the food and bit her lip as she cooked.

"Smells good so far...I can help you," Xan offered. He could cook, it was more like an on and off thing for him if he was moody he didn't cook he would eat simpler things. And well, since he was in a good mood being with Alissa he wanted to start. He rolled up his sleeves, then pulled back his hazelnut brown hair in a small ponytail at the back as one of the things he did before cooking or touching ingredients. Xan chuckled, turning for Alissa to see his ponytail. "Is this cute?" he joked.

Alissa smiled and nodded "Adorable." she giggled and then got another pan, "Here, you can make the sauce." She put all the ingredients next to the pan and continued to cook the pasta.

Xan nodded. "Will do," he started out with sauteing the meat first, throwing in the spices that Alissa already took out beforehand. "Hey, what were you like when you were really little, Alissa?" he asked, motioning his hand to go by his waist. "Like that little, or somewhere around that," Xan shrugged. "You answer and I'll do the same," Xan flipped the food that was in the pan without a kitchen tool, and nothing had spilled out from the pan. He learned it from his grandfather.

Alissa smiled, "Well... I know i liked to mess with my brother, he would give me piggy back rides, play horsy, Kid stuff You know?" She shook the pan gently, "I loved candy, and to play outside, But i wasn't aloud to play with a lot of 'normal' kids, They taunted me and called me weird because of my eyes, But i got to play with kids like me, and we would wrestle like a family of wild animals" She smiled at the memories "But as we grew older, I could control my inner animal and we all grew apart, i went to a normal middle school, i got taunted their as well, I was the freak girl, Because my eyes were so bright, my skin so pail, and hair so dark, They never excepted me, i was the strongest and most flexible girl in class, And got taunted for it, My parents switch me schools and i ended up here now." She sighed but smiled, they may not have been good memories, But she still enjoyed them.

"I see," it was interesting to hear Alissa's backstory. He wouldn't have known what it must have felt like, being in a normal human school and being taunted, but he grew up knowing a lot of normal people with. He hid away his animal side around them. Instantly, Xan knew he didn't want to share a certain part of his own backstory. She wouldn't look at me the same... he thought. "And what I was like when I was a kid..." his green eyes fell to the floor in remorse, but he quickly looked up at Alissa's pretty eyes again and offered a small smile. "I was quiet and a little troublemaker," Xan chuckled. "Used to play pranks on a lot of people...well, I still do that sometimes but when I want to have fun. Old habits die hard, huh?"

Alissa looked into his eyes, "Yes, they do." She smiled gently then saw the slightly sadder expression and then put the pan on a different oven panel, That past had finished cooking, She then crossed her arms over her chest and leaned against and counter and looked up at him, then brought her finger put against his chin, she raised his head to look into her eyes, then she hugged him gently, "Our past doesn't matter." She said then kissed his cheek and her face flushed a bright pink color with shyness "Its only the present that matters." She stepped back then took out two plates.

Xan listened to Alissa's words, and it helped him greatly. He hasn't been able to receive that kind of help because no one saw he needed it. Or at least, didn't show it on purpose. "That's...very true," Xan softly grinned from the kiss on his cheek, it seemed to cheer him up and made the memory of his past a little more bearable. Xan looked at Alissa, tilting his head and blinking twice. "Hmm...it's cute when you blush," he always thought that.

Alissa blushed more "Oh shucks...." she giggled then put the plates down "Is the sauce done?" she asked her cheeks still tinged with pink.

"Mhm. Just about," Xan replied. He got out a smaller spoon from the drawer and scooped up the sauce, his free hand underneath it to keep the sauce from dripping on the floor. Xan was holding it out for her. "You wanna taste test?" he asked. Normally as a kid, if he were staying over at a different family member's house such as his aunt's, he would help cook and ask for a taste sample every time. But he'd let Alissa do it first if she wanted to.

"Nice," Xan smiled. He got one of the plates from Alissa, picking up some pasta and placing it there. He also twirled the pasta into a spiraled almost mountain-like form, to make it look nicer. Then Xan poured an enough amount of sauce also. "Now for the pièce de résistance," he said, and sprinkled some flaky herbs on top. "Bon appetit," Xan chuckled.

Xan rubbed the back of his head, chuckling. "I know, I know," he got a plate of food for himself, and sat down at the dining table. He happily dug his fork into the pasta, twirled it around, and ate. The pasta was perfectly tender like he thought it would and he could taste the different ingredients from the sauce, all of them contributing well into the flavors. He chewed and swallowed. "Delicious," Xan smiled, licking away some a little bit of sauce around the corner of his lips. "We're a good team," he added.

Haru walked in and stared at the two. She soon got her a plate, some food, and sat down at a table alone. She keep her eye on them, there wa something about them that felt suspious to her.She took out her book and began reading, but never took her off them.

Alissa::

She smiled and ate as well "Think so?" She asked as she took another fork full in her mouth and ate the delicious food, licking the sauce from her lips.
