Brogan nodded but soon decided to creep quietly down stairs as he left. She wanted to hear what was going on. So after he left, despite the pain she tipped toed down the stairs sitting on the final one where she was out of site. She quietly listened, sure to not make any noise. She noticed more pain.

Gale walks down the steps and sits down at the living room table with his foster parents and social worker. "Gale." Frank says quietly. "Who was that girl."


"She's my girlfriend." Gale says confidently, even though on the inside he's grinning. His girl friend. Oh how long he has waited to say that.


"And whose baby is she carrying?" Sharon asks.


"Mine." Gale watches as Sharon's face turns from melancholy to infuriated. Frank stands and gets between the two, as he knows that Sharon has a tendency to blow her top sometimes. "His name is going to be Brantley Russell Lexington. He's taking his mom's last name."


"And who is going to support this child, Gale?" David questions, obviously ticked about this but not as angry as Sharon.


"Both of us. I'm not going to leave Brogan and she's not going to leave me. It is our child and we are going to raise him together."


That's when Sharon loses it. She shoves Frank to the side and grabs Gale by the collar of his shirt, slapping him hard. Gale cries out and falls to the ground, tears involuntarily forming in his eyes.


"You idiot!" She screams, advancing on Gale again when David stops her. "You are never going to be able to support a child, you won't be able to even support yourself! You don't go to school, you don't have a family, and you don't have a future!"


"Sharon," David whispers, trying to get his wife to calm down. "It's alright-"


"We should have moved him earlier." Sharon continues. "He's an embarrassment!"


"Sharon!" Both Frank and David hold her back as Gale struggles to his feet. His face is stinging and he hit the other side of his head hard when he fell.


"You move tomorrow." Sharon hisses, leaving the room.


"You can't take me from my child!" Gale protests, his stomach sinking because he knows the protest is futile.


"Go to your room, Gale. Pack up." David demands, following his wife. Frank looks at Gale with sad eyes and places a hand on his shoulder.


"I'm sorry, Gale. There's nothing I can do but find you a new home." Frank apologizes. Gale shoves Frank off.


"You're not sorry. I'm just another fucking paycheck to you." Gale mutters, tears threatening to spill. "Get out of this house before I make you." And with that, Gale storms up the steps, only to find Brogan sitting there. He can't bring himself to make eye contact with her before making his way into his room and sitting on the bed with his pillow held tightly to his chest.

Brogan was mortified with what she saw and heard. When Gale came up the steps she was a bit embarrassed to be caught eavesdropping. Then she seen his face, and she got pissed. As he ran past her she decided to take matters into her own hands, she waddled down the stairs pain shooting up her spine. she stood there in front of them "you despicable people, don't you ever wonder why he doesn't go to school, runs away and has never brought me home to meet you". She began to raise her voice knowing Gale could hear her " YOU PEOPLE ARE MISERABLE, HE HAS MORE COMPASSION FOR ME THEN ANYONE YOU HAVE IN YOUR BIG TOE COMBINED!" she grabbed her stomach in pain, ignoring it she continued "HE LOVES ME, I LOVE HIM AND HE WILL MAKE A WONDERFUL FATHER! BUT DON'T WORRY YOU WONT BE BURDENED WITH A BABY, MY MOTHER AND FATHER ARE REAL PARENTS THEY SUPPORT ME AND KNOW THAT ME AND HIM CAN CARE FOR THIS BABY!. She grabbed her stomach again wincing. she continued. "I HAVE A JOB LINED UP, HE IS LOOKING AND AT THIS POINT I KNOW FOR A FACT WE WILL BE BETTER PARENTS THEN BOTH OF YOU" she walked up almost in his mothers face and behind clenched jaws "I WOULD NEVER LAY MY HAND ON MY CHILD, THEY SHOULD LOCK YOUR ASS UP" she turned to his social worker "AND YOU JUST SIT HERE AND WATCH IT YOU PIECE OF SHIT! THEY BETTER NEVER FOSTER ANOTHER CHILD OR SO HELP ME I WILL HAVE ALL OF YOU ARRESTED" by this time she was hunched over in pain "you wont have to worry about him, we will get him emancipated and he will live with me and OUR child, and we will be DAMN GOOD PARENTS" Tears started pouring down her eyes, as the pain got worse, she realized she was going into labor. "GALE!" she screamed as her water broke.

Gale wraps an arm around her waist and pull her to her feet, supporting her weight as best as he can. "What's wrong, what hurts." He asks hurriedly, Rushing her out of the house and buckling her in the car. He can hear his parents screaming at him from inside but he doesn't care. Right now all he cares about is Brogan and making sure she is okay. Frank runs out and sits next to Brogan in the backseat, obviously wanting to help. "No, you drive." Gale snaps, getting in the backseat when Frank gets out. "Hospital. Now."

Brogan starts breathing between the wincing in pain "I'm in labor" she managed to choke out "I have been hurting all day, i should have known, you have to call my mom". She grabbed his hand sitting in the car "thank you" was all she could say as she began breathing again. This is it, in just a few short moments she will be a mom. another wave of pain went over her. she clenched up and bit her lip "ow ow ow" she couldn't help it. She continued breathing.

Gale whispers, trying his best to comfort his girlfriend.

Gale nearly cried when Brantley was born, happy beyond words. It's not his, but in a special way it is, because when he said that he would stay with Brogan he meant it. He sanitized his hands before softly stroking Brantley's head. "No, I'm the one who should be thanking. You... were amazing." Gale whispers, smiling at Brogan softly.

Brogan looked down at the tiny little human in her hands. His eyes were closed and he was laying there so peaceful. She had never felt so much love in her entire life. She looked up at Gale with a smile "thanks". She looked back down at Brantley "I can't believe he is here". She leaned down and kissed his head. She looked up at Gale "do you want to hold him?" she slowly lifted the child and handed him to Gale "hold his head" she smiled
