Welcome to the Jungle [Dreams of the Third Age]

The endless of the forest of the east spanned as far as the eyes can see. Many tribes called this jungle their home but ended up under the banner of the queen of the jungle, Rakshi an elder lunar, powerful sorceress and her army of apemen have conquered most of the territories except one, the ruins of Rathess.

In Rathess, there is only one true king, Filial Wisdom, the Goblin King has put the dragon kings and the hobgoblins under his banner. A powerful solar, who is certainly defining the term anathema to anybody who would be in doubt. His battle prowess have been unmatched. He has been announcing that his confrontation with Rakshi is imminent.

Losing either powerful exalts would be a grievous wound, but Rakshi plans of conquest seems to have no intention to stop and Filial just want to feed creation to his dark cult.

While most exalts are too preoccupied with politics, the bureau of heavens still trying to handle and calm the situation of the Sixth Maiden arrival.

The beginning, now there are many possibilities, introduce your character, what you were doing etc...but here's a few things I want you to keep in mind with your intro:

- I recommend a group on the Skyship, Another on land at least at the border of the jungle and possibly a third one in Yu-Shan if you want to have a briefing of the situation with the convention on war. Feel free to talk about it in general discussion, if you didn't choose one already.

-Discussion on how you want to tackle the situation is encouraged. If most of you have a clear idea of what you want to do, we could skip most of the discussions.

-I'll rp your npc most of the times but for your introduction feel free to interact with them or ask me in general discussion if you aren't sure about what some of your npc would do and will give you an answer. Plus I like to see you portray their personality, so I don't just go totally off wall with them when I take over.

-It's early in the morning, you could mention how you gathered some of your resources before today.

Alexandra sits confidently on the bridge of the Voyager, an indomitable conquest platform on loan from the Division of Secrets. The ship is cloaked and hovering a kilometer outside of Rathess. She grabs a data pad and checks her reports on the regions.

As usual for the early morning hours, Viktor is working. The army camp around his luxurious tent is just beginning to stir, but he has been awake the entire night. Spending the dark hours studying and drafting orders and documents was his primary means of avoiding frustration with those around him having not shed the need for sleep. He is just putting the finishing touches on a letter to Maxim, who he left in charge back at Drakholdt, when Marishu, one of the three szmiya who serve as his bodyguard and personal attendants, steps into the tent and clears her throat daintily.

"Beg pardon, milord. Your guest has arrived."

He smiles thinly, setting down his pen with a final flourish; the five tomes held aloft by his will mark their places and snap shut, settling down on the shelf beside his desk. "Excellent; thank you, Marishu. Show her in, I haven't had a chance to see Syrenica since Skullstone."

Syrenica gave her appearance a good once over, her dark scales glittering damply in the humid early morning light. It had been awhile she she had seen Viktor and Xentair, the adventure of Skullstone was so recent but still felt like a distant memory. She wondered how Xentair was doing, after all Viktor seemed to be doing well, he had a very interesting looking force and his tent was quite a statement. Checking the placement of her long hair one final time she took a deep breath and waited a moment.

Syrenica was used to waiting, she was a patient girl, she sipped her wine, giggled and nodded, she was the most 'almost' proper socialite that had no legs. Once she was admitted, she gently made her way inside, granting the young lady who informed Viktor of her presence a gentle nod. "Viktor, what a lovely camp you have! I gather the days since Skullstone have been nice to you?" She comes to a stop curling her coils under her for her to sit, her tail tip poking out from between her coils, and folded her hands in her 'lap', before bowing slightly to him.

From Alexandra's shadow a silhouette began to take shape. It expanded and gave a grotesque demonic image, and soon enough it rose from the ground, taking solid shape as it's features became known. A dark cape, ebony black on the back and a deep blood red hue on the inside part fluttered ominously as the Count stood in all his unholy magnificence. His feral smile displayed a row of sharp teeth, more fitting in the mouth of a shark than in a man, his crimson eyes locked firmly on Alexandra's neck, her vein looked exquisite and he could smell the blood flowing freely inside her skin. He took a silent step towards the woman in front of him and whispered "My lady..."

"Ah, Syrenica, welcome dear girl! You are as ravishing as I remember, a soothing balm of culture and beauty in this fetid jungle." He rises to greet his fellow Supernal with genuine warmth, something that few people could evoke in him. Indeed he does look prosperous; the worn armor and shabby-genteel clothing have been replaced with a military-style leather greatcoat that probably cost more than a small village. Gold and rubies glitter on his belt and the chain across his broad chest. Not to mention that the wine his servants poured for you was among the finest you've ever tasted.

"Indeed, I have met some small success in the few short years since our parting; perhaps you have heard that the Hundred Kingdoms are no more? From chaos, I have forged order; where they once squabbled and scrapped, there is now one strong, stable empire. My empire." His smile turns savagely triumphant for a brief second with the last, but returns to normal just as quickly.

"I do thank you for your kind words regarding my small expedition; I felt that the unrest in this region required a closer look. But, enough about me. How have you fared yourself since our last parting over the Bodhisavatta's demise?"

Within the Black and White Court, Xentair quickly made preparations to leave. Requiem was quickly attuned and sent to Elsewhere while Oracion and the Hearthstone set within hummed steadily. When he achieved enlightenment as a Devil Tiger, his artifacts changed with him. Oracion, formerly golden in color, became bleached white as the adamant shifted into an azure hue. Requiem's former glossy surface was tinted black. It made no difference though, both of them retained their powers so Xentair did not care.

The Devil Tiger wasn't alone though, two beings shared the manse with him. Isli, his ward and first Innocent, and Renna, his... Mate.

He frowned at his thoughts upon that subject. He simply was unable to understand the connection between two shards of Exaltation, never mind on how he was supposed to feel about it. He was always alone, he simply wasn't used to having anyone, muh less another Exalt, support him. Only time would tell him the truth.

He turned to Isli as she made her way to him, swimming through the air as if it were water, "Your mind was healed by my charms, but your body hasn't recovered fully yet. Are you sure you will be alright?"

"I will be fine," the dragon replied, her scales shimmering in the essence lighting, "My mind is now whole, my body will soon follow. You have my eternal gratitude from freeing me from that blasted prison. Not even the Solars from the First Age could have done what you did." She then gives Xentair a toothy grin with her draconic visage, "You're not bad for an infant hatchling."

"Do you have to comment about my age? First Renna, now you. What is the appeal to doing so?" Xentair groaned, drawing a chuckle from the Lesser Dragon of Water.

"Because it's fun," the dragon replied. Xentair sighed as he gave up trying to talk it over with the dragon, although Isli couldn't see the small, content, smile that graced his face.

Syrenica giggled softly and warmly enjoying the lovely compliments, and she felt an exhilarating rush at his nearly feral claim to a kingdom of his own. She sought the same, but one made from scratch, and likely with less possessiveness. He was well suited to this more than she. "I have fared particularly well I suppose," she looks away for a bit, remembering the last village that turned their hoes and axes on her. Not that she could fault them, after all she had abscond with some of their younger members after a few short flings. Her cult was still moving after that event.

Syrenica gives a short chuckle, "While I have not held the same success as you, I have had short-lived victories. I had managed quite a network in the An Teng region, it had been keeping me breast of things happening in the area, well that was before I had to actually uproot that little system. But I had been keeping busy. Destroying the arrogant, menacing the tyrants, stealing and blackmailing, all for a variety of payments. None have yet to refuse my price. Still it got a little hot down there, if you know what I mean, and when I heard of this Solar moving against the nearby Lunar I knew that I could have a lot fun." She nods at him after a moment of thought and brought a curious glint to her eyes and a hint of interest in her lilting voice. "Which is about where I caught your invitation, right there in Chiaroscuro. The timing was perfect. So which of the two are you siding with, I suspect perhaps the nearly feral Lunar with a grand design?"

Alexandra does not flinch or stir with the sudden appearance of the count. Gazing upon him coolly and dispassionately. Her bright green eyes meeting his crimson. "The Time is almost upon us. The Heroes of Creation have gathered in her darkest hour." Alexandra produces a prayer scroll from her pocket and chants a prayer in old realm. The prayer strip is illuminated in golden flame and an area with a radius of 5 miles is perfectly visible within the ship. "Fate has decreed that the Goblin King will die today and it is your task to carry this out. But this is not the only thing fate has in store for us.... You have your orders Count, defeat the Goblin King. Leave the diplomacy to me"

I am activating the survival capstone along with Supernal Awareness and Telltale Symphony. This allows me to perceive everything within a 5 mile radius as if I were present, have sorcerers sight and be really good at finding people. So I am going to go hunt down the Heroes of Creation/Rest of the Party

He chuckles. "As something of an arrogant tyrant myself, I should perhaps not find that as amusing as I do. Still, the current status quo of Creation could stand a good deal of upsetting indeed."

"And you are correct, my dear; it is Raksi whom I intend to support in this little war. For several reasons... tell me, have you ever met the Queen of Fangs?"

The Count nodded at the sound of his orders, pleased with Alexandra's resolve. His smile grew with excitement, that mischievous toothy grin that hid pleasures many would find absolutely terrifying, the prospect of murder, and not any murder, the ending of a Lawgiver of Creation, a fallen hero, a Prince of the Earth.

The Count let out a macabre chuckle with the promise of a violence and death "The Goblin King shall fall, I'll bring you his head on a spike"

Renna glides through the halls of the manse to the room where she can hear the sound of her bondmate speaking to the dragon. She drifts into the room, and as she listens, her enhanced senses tells her what is going on in the room almost better than if she could actually see. With a smile directed towards Xentair, she says, "Why must we make fun of your age? Simple. Because youth is wasted on the young, that's why! Come here, dear heart." She reaches out her arms to the man that now was linked to her, the third such Exalt that she had known in her years. The first two had fallen to the Wyld Hunt, but this one, this one has some promise to live as long as she has. Hopefully, she won't have to listen to his death at the hands of an enemy that she could not stop.

Renna slips her arm around Xentar's waist and pulls him close. "How is our patient doing this morning?"

Xentair, for all of his aloofness and cold demeanor, flushed brightly at Renna's touch. He had endured seduction attempts made by Syrencia without so much as a second glance, but it was rather the emotions emanating from Renna that actually set off his embarrassment.

"S-She's fine." Xentair managed to get out as he slowed his heartbeat, quickly pushing away how warm his mate was, "Her body's fatigued even though her mental health is completely recovered. She's recovered enough for basic daily activities and maybe for some light combat, but she is not fully recovered yet."

"I was trapped in the metal cage that blasted Twilight put me in for centuries," Isli explained, "It took me a while to get re-accustomed to my natural form. Some of my charms are still not usable yet. I was planning on reporting back to Yu-Shan with the rest of you, but the closest Gate is in Rathess and you know the situation there."

Having been trapped in a cage of her own for many years, Renna could sympathize with the poor spirit in front of her. The mention of Rathess and the troubles brewing there made her frown. "Yes. Not a good scene, is it? We could try to make our way up to the gate, but it would be a battle the whole way, and you are still recovering. No, we need to come up with a different plan to return you to Yu-Shan. But, eventually something should be done about that mad creature in the ancient city."

Xentair frowned in thought, "I believe that there is another gate that we may use." He pulls out a map of creation before he points to a small symbol that indicates "gate 16". It is located around 300 miles away from their current location.

"Renna's sorcery should get us there in a reasonable amount of time. The alternative is in Nexus. But I do not know the situation there."

OOC: How do multiple people enter the gate?

The gates are wide enough to let even small airships to fly out of them, so they are plenty big enough to allow multiple people in and out past the Celestial Lions.

Syrenica chuckles softly, "Worry not friend, I won't me wrapping my coils around you. But yes, this stale set up of Creation only got slightly better with the Silver Prince and I seek to see how much further this change will go. Regardless," she shakes her head gently, "I have not traveled the East in a long time, and my last visit was in the River Provinces. Had I know the jungles here were just as lovely I would have come sooner. Still I only know what I have heard from the various settlements in the region."

Her eyes twinkle a moment with her happiness, "It is said that she is quite the little monster, that she holds the secrets of the Era before in her home, and her little army of non-humans are quite capable and strong. As much of what I heard of her, it is the Solar that makes my skin cold. So I came, at your invitation, to upset the status quo in this region. With a great interest in making the Mad Solar and his creepy cult very much gone, and perhaps enjoying some rich rewards from either Rathess or Sperimin."

"If there are no objections, shall we make our way there?" Xentair asked as he finished his final preparations. "I can bring us within 200 miles of the area if needed, but I would prefer if Renna could take us there herself."

Isli nodded, "I am ready to go. I wonder how much Yu-Shan has changed since my last visit in the First Age. It has been a millennia since then, and I imagine that people would be shocked to see me."

Renna smiles, "Of course I can. We just need to know which gate we want to use. I can fly us directly to the one in Rathess; between Xentair and myself we can deal with just about any obstacle to us using the gate there so long as we do not run directly into Filial Wisdom himself. When shall we leave?"

"We can leave now if you are ready to go Renna. If we can get to the Rathess gate faster, then that would be preferred. We can deal with any hostiles there. If we meet Filial Wisdom there, it would simply be an opportunity to gather evidence for my Judgment." Xentair shrugged, "I can always sic Tyris on them if necessary." He turns to both of the other people present, "By the way, he wants a rematch from the both of you at Gateway later. But we can deal with that in Yu-Shan. Are you ready to go?"

"I will be in a moment." She holds out her hands from her sides and changes her simple robes into something more appropriate for traveling, leaving her sleeves long enough to use as weapons to put the smackdown on any cretin that may deserve it. She then casts the spell Virtuous Guardian of Flame and sets the watchlight circling her head. With the rest of her props safely stored in Elsewhere, she is set to go. "Now I am ready. Let us go, and I'll cast my travel spell for us to use."

"Do it." Xentair stated before his cold visage cracked into an amused grin, "I want to see the look on Yu-Shans face when we get there. Too bad I can't record it for others to see."

Out in the open, Renna once more begins to shape her Essence into a spell. Calling down a small, fluffy cloud from the sky, she daintily steps onto it and motions for the others to join her. "It is going to be a bit snug, but we can make it work. Flying at a speed of 90 miles per hour, we shouldn't take long to get there."

Xentair and Isli barely manage to get onboard comfortably. "I'm riding on a cloud. This is a novel experience." Xentair remarked as the cloud took off.

OOC: It should take us around 10 hours to get to Rathess. I'm not sure if Gdbat has anything planed for us on the way there, so we probably have to wait until he posts again.

Azure Crow stands slightly to the side of Alexandra, peering out over the vast, dilapidated urban landscape that is Rathess. As the Count arrives and Alexandra relays orders, he remains unfazed, his gaze continuously surveying the landscape.

"The Goblin King may be fated to die, but most in his following are not. We must be vigilant to prevent excessive and unnecessary casualties, Alexandra. I'll see to it that our dear Count is kept in line."
