Fantasy Welcome to the Aegean (Private)

(6,5,5,1 so that's +,+,+,- for a total of +3 (+1 for my skill) so i pass)

Orphaeus helps the man with placing the wheel onto the axle and works with the scarce material provided, his expertise and knowledge of mortal crafts helping him to easily fix such a mundane problem, orphaeous thoroughly tests the wheel and its sturdiness before standing again. his streak of perfectionism will certainly not let a struggling man have his cart break again

"it would appear Hephaestus has blessed you in this time of need were it not for me you may have been here for a while! do you not have an young hands who could help you with these tasks? i do not mean to come across as rude but you are certainly not as young as you once must have and this is hard work."

"do no worry yourself about thanks or any such thing, im clearly a craftsman and i wouldn't possibly allow a broken cart to stay broken for long, and rest assured even with the makeshift repairs it will not break anytime soon"

"oh how forgetful of me" Orphaeous chuckles and wipes his dusts off his hands "i nearly forgot to introduce myself, i'm Samsos" Samsos grasps the merchants hand and shakes it as he introduces himself "I've come seeking trade and fine wines, and maybe a wife or two if im lucky, if its all the same to you and if you happen to be heading in the same way as us perhaps we could journey together a while, as my father often said, 'a road walked with eight legs is shorter than one walked alone'" Orphaeous starts counting the cows then "and by the looks of it we have at least thirty legs between us the journeys practically over before it had begun." Orphaeous chuckles once again.

*note to self if at all possible this man clearly needs a new cart and possibly a young work hand perhaps something can be done about this later*

"Many thanks young man, and I do have young hands, though too young for this work yet, he is only 12 and so he works on the farm still, but I think to apprentice him to a craftsman soon, if only I had the funds I would send him to a great city like Troy or Thebe, but I fear I am not wealthy enough for such a venture, most like he will stay on the farm and take it over when I am old and weary."

After shaking Samsos hand he straightens as best as he can "My name is Marcius. I would gladly accompany you to the city gates, though I fear there we are like to part ways, My cattle are bound across the sea for Pedasus."

Marcius lifts a wide brimmed cloth hat from the back of the cart //petasos// and pulls it over his head, shielding himself from the rapidly rising sun.

"Come let us walk and talk, or we will never make it before midday. Now why is such a talented company wandering the isle of Lebos? Perhaps there is aught I could help you with perhaps?"

"Zeus bless you Samsos!" says Arcas as he sidles up to the cart accentuating his weary aged appearance and sits himself on the cart. "I do so tire of walking. This will be help enough for me. What of thee Marcius? Ah, the lady, what was your name? Come sit with me. Oh, how very rude of me. I am Arias, and you do Zeus a great service." Arcas bows his head and touches his hand to it then offers it toward Samsos in a grand but weary gesture.

"we are seeking new horizons, maybe the possibility of trade and to start new business ventures. But there will be plenty of time for that perhaps you could tell us of some local stories or such, we do so enjoy listening to the local tales to get a feel of the character of the place. and perchance i might be of some assistance in regards to your son and his apprenticeship, my contacts are far and wide and perhaps one must surely be suited for him, we can talk of this at a later time if we get the chance, but for now would you kindly indulge my in a tale, if it's not too much bother?"
