Fantasy Welcome to Eridia

He stared intensely in Michi's eyes, as if with murderous intent. He raised his sword. It made her flinch, and struck it down the ground. Suddenly, he knelt in front of Michi. Thank you. By this sword, I will swear to protect my comrades even at the cost of my own life. He said while trying to hide the tears forming around his eyes. I did it Visco! I have formed a group now. My second recruit after so many failed attempts and rejections. I did it, I did it. Also, Gunnolf will be proud of me. Hehe He thought. Jinn pulled himself together to cut further embarrassment. He stood up, pulled the sword from the ground and faced Michi again. He tried to act as if nothing weird happened. So, will you mind if I come with you to see those wolves or you prefer to do it alone? He asked, trying not to sound too interested. (I mean, the ability to talk to wolves , it's awesome! Right?) @The Unamed Character

Whoop Oliver deeper into the ground you say? HAHAHA That's the spirit. He said, trying to control his laughter.

Kids this days. He thought with a smile as he shook his head. Trying to bite more than what they can chew.

It look like we have the same objective. You trying to kill your target and me trying to wipe out evil existence. Why don't you join our group? Well, it's not that too big. It's a mercenary group. You said you're a bounty hunter earlier right? Royals hire us, they pay in a very big amount. It's not like their request are always for a noble cause, I just chose to wipe out Breaker and at the same time be paid. It's just like hitting two birds with one stone right? So, are you interested? He said as he tried to persuade Michi. @The Unamed Character
The Unamed Character]Michi thought for a bit. "Sure." she said as she held her hand out. "But I get to deliver the final blow to him.... I have some issues with him now..." [URL="https://www.rpnation.com/profile/28065-codecjd/ said:

"Sure.... if you come with me they wont be feeling the urge to attack" she said with a smile. She then looked at the girl. "I did not say I can... But any effort that I am able to can help to weaken him...."

Eve smiled softly at the girl, despite her scarring, the young woman had a kind smile that seamed to rearly see the light of day, "You're very modest..." She paused as of thinking, "Michi." She nodded pronounching the girls name softly. Her smile dropped slightly, "I would offer you my assistance but..." You see me and you have similar Jobs," she looked back at the girl with a blank expression once again, "Evelina Kheal, but call me Eve."

He looked to the creature that introduced herself as Evelina Kheal Didn't you see that he's far weak from someone he used to be. Maybe because of spending his time fighting and killing weaker opponents or civilians. He's dull now. It will just be a matter of time before his instincts and movements become sharper. The right time to strike is now. If he gets used to fighting stronger opponents it might take another 3 decades for our skills to match his. I know this because he obliterated my former guild. With my power now, I estimate that my captain is just below the level as my current state when they fought. Jinn looked back at Michi. She looks quite concerned, nonetheless, she is still motivated. With my comrade now. He said, and with a proud smile, he put his hand up as if a butler representing his master to the crowd. I think I made a huge gap between who's winning this poll.

Eve looked down at the girl and nodded, "I understand..." The older girl wasn't used to such a display of emotion but understood it. "If I believe you need me...I will be there." She nodded her head, "but," she paused, "Do not mistake me for a kind person...I am nothing more than a cold hearted person with a strange way of looking at the world." She nodded her head silently, "I will be there for you free of charge, this time."

Eve did well to hide her irritation behind an emotionless expression, "and if I told you I've fought worse than him and escaped alive?" Her head tilted, "Do not treat me as though I know nothing."

She turned her head away and pulled her hood up, this is why we stay away from people, Eve. She scolded her self.

Silently she moved to leave only stopping short when her eyes, including the blind one, locked with at of the one who tried to help her. She nodded a quiet thanks and turned to leave.

Silently she looked up at him and managed to force a smile. Stopping to look at the object he offered for her she held out her hand hesitantly.

    Location: Irongarde, Priollot Sqaure

A crowd had assembled in the city's main hub, Priollot Square. Some were there simply because they knew that their family or friends were there, unsure of the true cause behind the accumulation of such a plethora of citizens. Some weren't even citizens of Irongarde, visiting the capitol city for reasons specific to them. Their reasons ranged from trading purposes - either legal or illegal - to visiting family or simply just to sight-see. And then there were the ones who weren't even citizens of the small Kingdom of Vriaria. All in all, everyone had gathered together for the same reason.

To watch a criminal undergo a beheading.

The moment Karayan stepped off the military-grade transportation wagon, angry shouts rose up from the crowd. But she didn't care; she was exhausted and sore due to the amount of torture she had been put through in just the past couple of days. The silver shackles chained to her wrists, ankles, and neck burned her skin, leaving red, charred rings on the limbs. Continuous exposure to the silver, though, diminished the amount of pain that she felt; in fact, she was numb in those areas, now.

Her throat burned from the lack of water, and her lungs screamed from overuse. One of the punishments the guards had put her through was submerging her head in water for long periods of time, but never long enough for her to drown. And it was all because she inquired about a drink.

Karayan was led towards the angry crowd, her bare, calloused feet carrying her forward. Despite her helpless predicament, she kept her head held as high as she could muster, looking straight ahead at the stage. The stage that held the executioner, the heavy battleaxe, and the chopping block. The stage that held her impending death.

The hybrid hadn't walked too far when a solid object connected with her head. She faltered for a moment, ears laid back in irritation with carnivorous teeth bared, but she stood up and straight and continued walking, ignoring the rock that clamored to the ground. The half-breed could feel a bead of blood beginning to form and trickle down her forehead. However, she ignored the warm liquid and kept her gaze straight ahead.

Karayan locked her gaze on the executioner and his weapon, tuning out the boisterous group of people that surrounded her and her escorts. He was currently sharpening the blade of his axe on a grinder, the harsh dissonance of metal on rock resonating in the air.
"Murderer!" the blade seemed to sing. "Traitor!"

The crowd echoed the accusations at the assassin, yelling incomprehensible threats and "You deserve this's" and "I wish I could kill you myself's". Perhaps she shouldn't let them know that she felt no guilt taking away their friends' and family's lives. In fact, she enjoyed listening to their terrified screams and watching as the red liquid flowed from their wounds.

The demon-wolf finally pushed her way through the audience to the stage, though not without receiving a few more blunt objects thrown at her and some ruthless hits. She exchanged a cold gaze with the Jarl of Irongarde, Arturus Elyot the Bold, as she made her way to the center of the stage, being presented in front of the crowd as if she were a criminal.

Oh yeah. She was.

Arturus strode forward and stood beside the demon hybrid to begin the execution as soon as possible. His mouth opened, ready to begin the rites, but Karayan interrupted him. "
Oh, you're actually doing something yourself instead of having some slave do it for you?" Her voice was dripping with hatred and mockery.

The Jarl, however, only gave the assassin an irritated glare, refusing to answer her. Instead, he continued on with the quick introduction. He unrolled the parchment that held her charge and information. "'
Merciless', a lycanthropian demon hybrid, unknown birth name of unknown origin, has been accused and tried for numerous accounts of murders. Too many to count. She has been sentenced to death for her traitorous acts against the Kingdom of Vriaria." He paused for a moment, looking up at the crowd to follow protocol. "Are there any objections against the trial, in hopes to find the accused innocent?" He spat out the last word with disgust, as everyone knew fairly well that the one of the stage was completely guilty.

(I left this post open-ended just in case someone wanted to show up randomly or whatever.)

Quest: Kill the Dark Queen.

Distributed by: Chieftain

Distributed to: The Bringer of Dawn.

Payment: 6,800,000 Nova

Note: Report to the Chieftain for informations before proceeding with the mission.

Gunnolf Fenrisúlfur

Three days have passed since he received his mission. S***, I've been travelling for 3 days! That village is almost 300 miles away from our base. If it is not only for the high payment that it offers. More than 6 million nova huh, we'll be freaking rich. We'll be able to buy a land, a mansion on top of it, and a few slaves maybe. Hmmm, or not, Jinn won't like that, and i'll also feel guilty about it. He thought as he ride the carriage. Were almost here! The Kingdom of Vriaria. The coachman yelled. Finally! 6,800,000 nova, here I come! Gunnolf yelled as he excitedly look at the enormous gate of the kingdom.

Hmmm, let's see how much I have still left. Gunnolf wondered. He reached inside his pocket. grabbed a few coin. His eyebrows met, his smile turned to frown. As he brought it out, he saw that there are only 3 coins. This is just worth 80 nova, but this shall do. He trots gladly exploring and admiring the kingdom. He is in Priollot Square. At the distance, he saw people gathering near a stage. Looking closely he saw that it is not just merely a stage but a execution waiting to happen. He rushed in to see a better look, but it was full of people that he can't even see anything at ground level. Using his supernaturally enhanced speed and strength, he jumped on top of one of the houses. No one noticed that he was there. People and the executioner looks like they're too focus on the beheading.

He heard the creature talking back to his executioner, and it entertained him. What courage, what courage. Kukuku He said as he watch the execution. The executioner asked the crowd for objection, but the crowd just cheered more loudly to just behead the creature that's in front of them. The executioner seemed satisfied with the response, he had a murderous grin on his face. He raised his sword, ready to strike. Not now mister, i'm just starting to enjoy this. Gunnolf jumped from the roof aiming for the executioner. The roof where he was watching from was demolished because of the opposite force of the jump. He kicked the executioner in the face causing him to fall down from the stage. Bull's eye! He yelled. The crowd went silent for his sudden appearance. Gunnolf then went to the creature and struck the shackles binding him. With all that talking back, you should start to fight back! Kuku The crowd was in terror, for the creature was once again free. Run mice! The cat is here! GHAHAHAHA! He yelled, laughing at the crowd's scared faces. This sweetheart here will claw his way into your heart..........literally. GHAHAHA too petty, too petty. Some of the crowd dispersed in terror, some started crying and even wetting their trousers. Gunnolf saw a knight that was not capable of moving because of shock. Tears are forming in his eyes, drooling and shaking. He's sulking in sweat. Gunnolf rushed towards him so fast that it seemed like he teleported in front of the knight's face. The knight's knees are shaking so much that it made him incapable of standing. Let's start with you. He whispered with a mischievous grin. Hey, you boisterous woman. He called out, smiling. I caught one for you. Caaaaatch~ Gunnolf threw the knight towards the creature and wen't back to the roof. I'll let you have fun for a while! Goodluck! He yelled. Gunnolf knowing that the creature was already exhausted because of the torture and injuries she had already faced. He just stands back watching her if she'll fight, and kept alert if she, by chance, pass out due to exhaustion, then he'll take her and escape.

He nods, and with that,he waved, and was walking away. He wasnt needed."lets meet again. And maybe sometime you can tell me why you deserve that scar,eh?"he gave a smile over his shoulder, walking away

"Kodelack." Valasti spook softly and calmly, calling her royal body gaurd forth. Kodelack came running into the throne room. "Yes, my Queen?" His ageing figure still strong as ever, his voice polite and loyal. Valasti turned around and looked at him, her stance straight. "My Knights inform me of a disturbance in the village. Find it. And bring whoever caused it to me. Now." The last word uttered sharply. He bowed and quickly strolled out of the room, bringing 5 men with him, they quickly rode down to the village to capture whomever was causing trouble.

Eve watched him leave silently. Before casting her eyes down wards and leaving the other two be, no good bye nothing.

Walking almost silently the teen chuckled to himself, relighting his cigarette."bloody thing went out on me..."he shook away the flame from his fingertips, glancing about to make sure nobody had seen. He ran his thumb over his fingertips, and sighed, taking a long drag."hmmmm. She thinks she deserves it,eh?...i know that feeling better than most, dont i, maria?"he gave a soft, kind gaze to the ground.he then chuckled, shaking his head, palm pressed to his forehead."idiot...keep focused. Your here to heal wounds, not make friends..."he took another drag, and released the smoke in a cloud above him, laughing quietly to himself

Home she sighed with silent relief at the thought. But the return home would be a long one and she was already tired. Running a hand over her scarred face Eve set off on her journey.

The boy...with the cigarrets she thought as the forest swallowed her up.

On top of the ramparts of his estate Nominus gazed proudly at the vast field of corpses beyond. His army. When the time was nigh he'd bring them back to this world to met out cruelty. Turning around he stared at the courtyard and watched as the black cowled figures work more diligently under his gaze. His children would be the tip of the spear. Glanced at his hand he noticed it looked more gaunt than usual. It was time to feed. Taking the form of a cloud of mist he barreled into the forest and went in the direction of a town he knew to be close. It had been awhile since he personally razed a village to the ground. He was going to enjoy this.

The crowd's response Arturus' inquiry was exactly what he had expected: a roar of shouts that only encouraged the execution to be carried out, to rid the world of the infamous assassin, "Merciless". A triumphant adorned the Jarl's features as his murderous gaze bore into the hybrid. Karayan only responded with a silent "Go to hell" glare, her lips set in a flat line of frustration.

"
Enjoy the eternal flames of Hell, Merciless." Eylot turned to take his place back where he stood, a place that he considered to be "front row seats" to the execution.

And you accuse me of murder, she mused silently. The demon-wolf let out an amused chuckle, her eyes set straight ahead. "You forget, Arturus," she responded sweetly. "As a demon, Hell is where I originate."

The unsettling silence that emanated from Eylot's location only widened the smirk that had begun to form on Karayan's features. Her victorious upturned lips remained even as she was forced to her knees and bent over the chopping block. The audience shuffled nervously under the killer's unsettling gaze. The demon hybrid felt no fear for death, which was why she kept her calm composure as the executioner raised the head of the large battleaxe and prepared to bring it down and end the half-breed's life.

"
Not now, mister," an unfamiliar voice announced. The audience went silent as their eyes searched for the source, and the executioner paused, prolonging Merciless's life. Karayan averted her gaze to the source: a lycanthropian male with a large sword raised high on top of a nearby roof. The stranger hopped off of the roof, causing the building to practically collapse in on itself, and then aimed himself for the executioner, much like a projectile shot from a bow or slingshot. His foot collided with the executioner with a harsh crack, most likely breaking the man's neck. The executioner tumbled to the ground, lifeless.

Irongarde's main hub was completely silent. Everyone was shocked by the sudden appearance of the stranger. The wolf-male strode over to the half-breed as she straightened up, and he struck the shackles off of her with ease. The silver clanged to the ground, releasing the wolf hybrid from her painful prison. She instinctively reached a hand up to wrap around her left wrist, hoping to cease the uncomfortable feeling of having shackles on for six days straight, but the sudden sting from contact with charred skin made her think otherwise. She'd tend to those wounds later.

The Sycreihl woman watched as the crowd dispelled and scattered, seeking shelter from the insane stranger and the released assassin. She turned to hopefully catch the Jarl before he made his leave, but his knights were already escorting him away and hurrying him back to his palace.
Damn... Instead of pursuing Eylot, she turned her attention back to the remnants of the crowd. Unfortunately for them, some of the audience was still present, their fear and shock gluing them to their spots like tar. The wolf-man ignored these citizens, however, and approached a terrified knight. A new recruit, perhaps, given his immense fear of the two. The stranger practically tossed the fear-stricken knight to the assassin for her to do as she pleased.

The man recovered just before running into the short wolf-demon, almost cowering down in her presence. "
I- I-" he stuttered helplessly. "Please-"

Karayan closed the distance between her and the unknown knight. "
My, oh my," she murmured sweetly. The half-breed gingerly placed both hands on either side of his helm and lifted it. He flinched, but she continued to remove the helm and toss it to the side, revealing the knight's features. He was young, probably only about fourteen or fifteen years. He had a messy mop of brown hair and fearful green eyes. "Aren't you a handsome one. And young, too." She carefully placed a clawed finger underneath his chin, trailing it forward to the tip of his chin and pushing upwards to raise his head slightly. "You wouldn't be too difficult..." Her voice trailed as she continued to ponder.

The boy opened his mouth to inquire what she meant, but he halted. His entire body went rigid, and his eyes and mouth widened as much as they could. It looked as though his eyes were going to pop out of his head and that his jaw would break open and dislocate itself much like a snake's. He tried to scream, but only a breathless gasp escaped his agape lips. The young knight's shoulders rose up and tensed, almost as if they were trying to suffocate him by crushing his neck. His fingers, wrists, and elbows were bending in odd ways, and his legs were shaking uncontrollably. It looked as tough the boy was having a seizure.

The process didn't take too long given the boy's feeble, fearful mind. Within just a few seconds, the young knight's body relaxed completely. The only obvious difference was the fact that his normal, young green eyes had glazed over and become completely dark red, almost black orbs. A mundane expression adorned his previously terrified face.

Karayan removed the finger from underneath his chin and began walking towards the wagon she had arrived on. "
Follow," she commanded harshly, her tail moving around him as a subtle way to turn the boy around. He mindlessly turned and followed the assassin as she made her way through the remnants of the audience and to the wagon. Once there, she climbed up and made her way to the front where the guards would drive. A large locked chest sat in the front, carrying the assassin's belongings. She turned to the mind-controlled boy. "Break it open." The young knight didn't hesitate to step past her, brandish his steel sword, and strike the lock. Under normal control, the boy would hardly be able to wield the sword correctly. Given his mindless state, however, his body couldn't tell him what "overexertion" was. The lock broke with one simple strike, though not without the crack of the small boy's limb.

Merciless moved the boy aside and crouched in front of the chest, opening it to reveal her bow and quiver of arrows, her hidden blades, her pouch of gold, and her clothing and mask. It was a bit more difficult than usual given the sore state she was in, but it didn't take her more than a couple minutes to change into her usual clothing, don her mask, and put all of her weaponry and valuables back to where they belong.

Now comfortable in
her things, she approached the boy. "Your services are no longer needed, young one. But I appreciate your efforts." The young guard didn't even flinch when her claws grabbed onto his neck and penetrated the skin.

Dark red liquid began to pour from the multiple wounds as she proceeded to literally rip his throat out. She finally got her fingers wrapped around his trachea and esophagus and gripped them tightly. The demon-wolf ripped the tubes out of his neck with ease, ripping the skin like paper.

She let go of her bond with the boy, and his eyes became their natural green. His hands flew up to his mutilated neck and attempted to grasp the last thread of life he possessed.

Finally, the boy fell to the ground, twitching and convulsing as his body tried to stay alive. A few moments went by before he went still, the blood continuing to cover him and the wagon. Karayan only stood there, admiring her work with a pleased smirk.

Medico stumbled through the forest like a lost penguin with his leather bag full of utensils clinking and clanking. He wasn't a penguin but he defiantly was lost. "Fiddlesticks!" he exclaims in a mixed eastern European accent. "That brute of a man pointed me in the wrong direction!" he shouts in frustration. the length of it

He smelled insanity. Hoping to take a look he extended the reach of his mist cloud in the direction of the scent. An exotic looking doctor? and a lycanthrope? Insanity mixed with wolf was a rare delicacy. Covering the area with mist he let loose an unearthly shriek. Not wanting to reveal his true nature yet he simply observed. Boy was he hungry.
