Weepy Hollow

"what a douchebag!" she yelled walking back to school so she could get her car. She didn't get it, she didn't get him, it was part of the appeal but also part of the reason she didn't want to see his stupid face anymore.

Tate woke up earlier than usual, on the basis that he actually needed to eat breakfast this time. He stands, pulls on a pair of black jeans, and scratches his chest as he searches around for a shirt to wear. Finding a grey 3/4 length sleeve shirt, he pulls that over his head and pulls on his boots before walking into the narrow hallway, and into the kitchen/living room. His mother was awake this morning, and she smiled at him warmly before pointing to the table where there was already cereal ready for him.

It was a normal morning for Lilly being screamed at and such. "shut up!!" she screamed as she slammed the door on her way out. That was it, she was probably going to have to find a place to live. She got to school and sat in her car, she saw her old friends, how happy they seemed to be, laughing, just hanging out and she sighed. She was completely alone now and she never thought that would happen

After eating his cereal, he quickly kissed his mother on the cheek before walking out of the trailer, through the woods, and towards school. As someone drove past, they threw an empty water bottle at him, which he dodged. He messed with the bracelets on his wrist as he walked up to school, seeing Lilly sat in her car outside. He walks over to the car, and taps on the window twice.

She glared at him for a second with the tears in her eyes and rolled down her window. "yes?" she asked. She was coming to realize it didn't matter what he did, he could just come back, and she would let him. This couldn't be what he had in mid.

He looks at her and shrugs his shoulders. "I thought, seen as we're both outcasts... We could be outcasts together?" He raises his eyebrows. He'd been thinking about it all night, about how he'd probably need a friend more than another enemy.

"but.. what about yesterday? You're right, I don't know you" she said. "and I'm pretty sure you don't want to know me" she said.

"I changed my mind." He says, shrugging his shoulders again, and putting his hands in his pockets. "I could really use someone to help me with the final year of high school." He chuckles slightly, "you could be interesting to know."

She sighed. "fine" she said, getting out of her car. She could already feel the glares of people that now hated her. She wasn't use to this, she turned around, looking at everyone outside scared to even go in.

"Let me guess. You don't want to go inside school because everyone hates you now and you're afraid?" He says, seriously, using his fingers to gently play with some of her blonde hair. "Join the club."

"I just... I hate fighting, I hate getting jumped, it used to happen all the time before I became pretty and popular" she said. "I was pretty much tormented, it stopped, and I became as happy as I could be" she said. "well, at least at school I was, I'm not ready for that again" she said

"Then don't be my friend at school. Go over to them and say that you thought you could lead me on, learn my secrets, and then use them against me." He shrugs his shoulders, he didn't know what would work.

Her eyes widened. "No" she said. "i'm not leaving you alone in this" she told him. "let's just, try to get through it together" she said.

"Uh, no. I'm used to being alone in this, but you're used to being popular. So, go do what you do, be popular and pretty, and then meet me in the field from yesterday after school." He says, raising his eyebrows, "I'm serious."

"no" she said again. "I would feel like a horrible person, it wouldn't be right" she said, "let's just get it over with" she said, putting her keys in her pocket. She sighed and looked at the school. "besides, they really weren't great friends"

"I wouldn't know what friends are like so I can't help you there." He laughs, before walking towards the school. "Okay, this is your last chance to spit in my face and run to popularity. Going once, going twice."

She wasn't going to lie, she wanted too, it would be so great to be queen bee again, but it wasn't the right thing to do. Even after what he had done with the teasing and what not, she couldn't turn her back on him, she did have kind of a soul. She looked at him and shook her head and walking in with him.

"Sold, to the girl with the... Odd looking hair extensions and orange makeup." He scrunches up his nose at the sight of a girl walking past and walks through the halls of the school, before walking towards his locker.

Lilly laughed a little too loudly and snickered as she turned around and looked at them. She turned back around to Tate, watching him get the stuff out of his locker. She had a smile on her face when she looked at him, it was an involuntary action.

He gets some stuff out of his locker before sighing. "Can we just not do school. Like, just not. Go somewhere, anywhere, and just not." He says, putting his hand in his pocket and shutting the locker. "I want to be free!"

" We can't avoid it forever" she said. "I would totally skip with you today though" she said, whatever he wanted to do, she would do. It was that bad already, and he wasn't even super nice to her! what the hell was wrong with her?

"Then today we shall skip," he says, grinning crookedly before gesturing for her to follow. He walked out of the front door and down the pavement, taking the same route as yesterday and ending up in the field, but instead of walking towards his trailer park, he went into a different area of the trees. What could he say? He preferred trees to buildings. He nears a large one, and begins to climb it, then sits on the lowest branch looking down at Lilly.

She smiled, wondering why she followed him like some lost puppy, she wondered so much, but some part of her didn't really care. She loved nature anyway, she took pictures to use for reference photos for her paintings. she kept taking them, including one of Tate in the tree, she laughed and looked up at him. "having fun?" she asked.
