Wealth or Love?

"I thought I heard something.." Kana looked around, reaching for the leather grip of her hammer. The sound of footsteps marching on the dirt slowly came into hearing, and she quickly began climbing a tree. "Quick! Hide!" Kana whisper-shouted, her yellow-amber eyes darting about.

 

[Diran the Thief]

Lucifer sighed and rolled his eyes. Then he slid to a bush and pushed a few leaves out of the way so he could see what was happening.

Kana peeked through the leaves, her eyes narrowing as she saw a few guards looking around. Damn. They must've called for back-up. She mentally slapped herself for not figuring this out sooner, and reached for her hammer. If she was going to help out Lucifer.. Some force was needed. But how would it help to start conflict? Kana kept on reaching the same question: 'What should they do?'

 

[Diran the Thief]

Lucifer looked at Kana and shook his head to tell her to not attack. Then he made moves with his mouth to say 'don't move a muscle'.

Kana nodded back to him, silencing her breath to a minimum as she observed the soldiers. She lifted her hand from the grip of her hammer.

 

[Diran the Thief]

Lucifer breathed quietly to keep his presence a secret from the guards. He looked around to see if he could find a way to get them to go somewhere else.

Kana began to think, biting her lip as her eyes darted around. What could serve as a distraction..?

After a few minutes of looking around the guards called off the search and left the area.

Kana exhaled her breath in relief, trying to stop her rapid heartbeat. She had a feeling that she was going to get in worse situations.


What a thing to look forward to!


Shush the sarcasm, me, you want to help out Lucifer.


Kana had an odd conversation with herself, before slowly climbing down the tree.


"Do you do stuff like this all the time?"

"It's basically my life at this point." Lucifer answered.

 

[Birdmd]

"Maybe for now we should find somewhere to settle down. It's almost nightfall, and it isn't exactly very safe at night." Kana sighed, scratching the back of her head.

 

[Diran the Thief]

Lucifer sighed. "Yeah. I know a place where we can go. But you have to promise not to tell anyone." Lucifer said looking at her.

 

[Birdmd]

Kana nodded. "I promise."

 

[Diran the Thief]

Lucifer nodded. "Good. Now follow me. I'll show where it is." He said walking forward.

Kana obediently followed Lucifer, a small skip in her step. "So what is this place, anyway?"

 

[Diran the Thief]

"It's a camp where I have a few people who wanna help clear my name." Lucifer answered.

 

[Birdmd]

"Oh, really? So would you call them friends or followers?" Kana replied, tilting her head slightly.

 

[Diran the Thief]

"Well they do treat me with respect so I guess friends." Lucifer said.

 

[Birdmd]

"I bet their nice..~" Kana pondered on what kind of people they were, placing a finger on her chin. "Hmm.."

 

[Diran the Thief]

"Hold on a sec. I got an idea on getting there faster." Lucifer said.

 

[Birdmd]

"Really? And what might that be?" Kana replied, her eyes twinkling in curiosity.

 

[Diran the Thief]

Lucifer turned around and smirked. He put both his index and middle fingers from both hands in his mouth and let out a whistle. After a few seconds of silence a Griffin screech is heard and slams to the ground in front of Lucifer.

Kana couldn't help but jump a little, letting out a squeak. She hid behind Lucifer, peeking out at the strange beast.

 

[Diran the Thief]

The Griffin tackled him and rubbed it's head on him. Lucifer was laughing. "Ha ha! Lightening! Stop! That tickles!" He said laughing.

Kana looked at both of them on the ground, now seeing how silly her behavior was, giggling at the scene in front of her.
