[Diran the Thief]

2 years ago: "Lucifer Haven. Wanted: Alive. To be brought back to Chyniya. Bounty: $15million." ~Bounty paper.


Present day: "Lucifer Haven. Wanted: Dead or Alive. If alive brought to jail. Bounty: $15billion." ~Spokesmen, bounty papers, guild boards.

Kana blinked in surprise as she examined the poster board, reading the lines to herself.


"Huh. Lucifer Haven..? I wonder why they want him imprisoned.. They don't have his crime on the board.."


She bit her lip gasping at the bounty price. This guy was wanted for 15 billion?! Holy mother of chocolate cows!


She was probably just being paranoid.

 

[Diran the Thief]

Lucifer walked by in a big black cloak looking at the board where Kana was. Hearing her weird outburst he knew she was surprised at his bounty. He sighed then walked out of town. Then a few guards ran to his direction. He noticed them and started to run.

 

[Birdmd]

Kana jolted her head around in surprise as guards began chasing a figure wearing a long, raven black cloak. She tilted her head in confusion before following them. Since she didn't want to get into any sticky situations, Kana decided to pursuit them quietly, her hand resting on the strap of her hammer. Things might get out of hand. Might.

 

[Diran the Thief]

"You there! Stop!" One of the guards said to Lucifer. Lucifer just kept running and didn't stop. The guards slowly lost him by the second and eventually lost sight of him.

Kana had managed to keep track of the cloaked figure, but felt exhausted. She crept in the bushes, trying not to make any startling sounds.


"Damn it, stop running.." Kana muttered, her yellow-amber eyes fixed on whom she was following.

 

[Diran the Thief]

Lucifer stopped and looked around. He was breathing heavily then he finally to off his cloak. His long white hair reflecting the light of the sun. He let out a sigh. "I hate my life. But this is what I asked for."

Kana exhaled in relief, sitting down she looked at the man as her eyes widened. He was the person wanted on the board! So that's why the guards were pursuing him.. She gritted her teeth, scanning him. He had long, white hair with a katana sheath strapped around his waist. The man had somewhat of a samurai appearance to him, and Kana knew she couldn't take him in a fight. It's best if she just walks away.. Slowly..


Not noticing her surroundings, her foot stepped on a small twig, sending sound through the quiet area.


Crack.


Oops.

 

[Diran the Thief]

Lucifer looked at where the sound he heard. Lucifer sighed. "Whoever's there, show yourself." He said slightly raising his voice.

 

[Birdmd]

Kana bit her lip, crouching down behind the bush and silently praying.


"Please, please forget that happened.." She thought to herself, her blood freezing as her breath grew shaky. A bad feeling crept up her spine as she shivered.


This man was dangerous.

 

[Diran the Thief]

Lucifer cut the bush in half and saw Kana panicking. "Oh. It's just a girl. You lost or somethin'?" He asked.

 

[Birdmd]

Kana took a deep breath to keep herself from exploding. "Just a girl?! Are you kidding me?!" She looked up at him and thought for a second. Outright exclaiming that she was going to get his bounty was going to go nowhere, so might as well try a different approach.


"U-Um, yes. I was curious when I saw the guards chasing you through here, and I decided to follow. Heheh.." Kana scratched her head in fake embarrassment laughing awkwardly.


"Smooth, Kana. Smooooth."

 

[Diran the Thief]

Lucifer rolled his eye. "Well curiosity killed the cat." He said. Then he put his hand on her head and squeezed with his fingers. "So why don't you run along you little brat?"

 

[Birdmd]

She narrowed her eyes, snatching his wrist.


"I'm no brat." Kana's grip was tight, her knuckles turning white as blood went to her palm. She glared at him.

 

[Diran the Thief]

"Oh whatever. If there's a reason you're bothering me than beat it."

 

[Birdmd]

"Wait.." Kana looked at him for a couple seconds.


"Are you Lucius Flaven? Or, whatever your name is. You've got bounty."

 

[Diran the Thief]

"And? Are you going to try to claim the bounty?" Lucifer asked.

 

[Birdmd]

"Well, I'd be an idiot if I just waltzed up to you and said 'Hey! I'm gonna either kill you or take you by force for money!' so no, not really. I can tell you're way out of my league. But.." Kana raised her eyebrow. "Why is it you have a bounty? What did you do?"

 

[Diran the Thief]

Lucifer crossed his arms. "Why do you care?" He asked.

 

[Birdmd]

"I was a little suspicious of how they never put it up on the board." Kana observed his behavior. If he had simply committed treason or homicide, she'd be dead by now. What's going on in his head..?

 

[Diran the Thief]

"It was there." He said. "I tore it off."

 

[Birdmd]

"And why did you tear it off?" Kana impatiently tapped her foot.

 

[Diran the Thief]

"I'm honestly getting tired of tired of this bounty crap. I'm trying to get my name forgotten from everybody but so far it's not working." He said.

 

[Birdmd]

Kana raised her eyebrow, interested. "Really..? You don't hear that from people like you often.. So, you committed an act of crime against the land, and now you want to clear your name? Unless.." She eyed him, taking a small step forwards. "The events that made you get a bounty in the first place wasn't as simple as it seems, or your tricking me. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised with either."

"I wouldn't call it a crime. It was more of an act for my own good." Lucifer justified.
