Reid Callaway
the sky is starting to look a lot brighter
Reid’s eyes were partly closed, as he just took in the moment. Lemon’s face rested so close to his, his hand cupped the side of her cheek. He could see all the colors in her eyes, they weren’t just blue, but specks of brown and gold. “Wow?” He breathlessly chuckled tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. Reid smirked as Lemon initiated the next kiss herself. “Yeah,” Reid said quietly “anytime.”
“Well… I wouldn’t be against being your practice dummy, if you know, you wanted to get better.” Reid leaned in closer to Lemon, hovering above her lips once again. “And practice makes perfect, you know.” Reid smirked as his eyes glinted up to Lemon’s. He dragged the tips of his fingers along her shoulder and down to her wrist. “I’m happy too…” His eyes looked up to meet Lemon’s again to see her starting to cry. “You sure about that?” Reid’s eyes raised in concern as he pulled back a few inches from Lemon, to give her some space.
He placed his hand over hers that laid on his face. “You know you don’t have to do anything you’re not comfortable with.” He leaned his forehead against Lemon’s. “I’m all yours, either way.”
He went to readjust himself on the picnic blanket, only to end up knocking over the bottle of sparkling apple cider he had just opened for the two of them. “Shit.” He said through gritted teeth as he grabbed the bottle up as quick as he could. “Sorry Lemon.” Reid reached into the picnic basket only to really realize, he did forget something. Napkins.
“You know what… How about we go for a walk.” Reid knew there was not a chance in the world he would get this cleaned up. It was better to just move on from it, and deal with it later. It wasn’t like either of them were interested in the food in front of them anyways. As he stood up he offered Lemon a hand to bring her to her feet as well. Interlacing their hands Reid pulled her away from their picnic.
