Realistic or Modern Washington High School: Student Chronicles

Zori's eyes widened in surprise. "Reggie, wait!" He called out to her, jumping up and running to the girl. "Noooooooo!"

Though he was too late. Way too late. She'd already slid down the slide and was sitting in it by the time he reached her. He couldn't help but laugh. "Regan, your pants!" With a sigh, he shook his head and pulled his sweater off. "Wanna wrap this around yourself?

-

Solana looked down at herself, biting her lip. She was happy her mother worked on a different floor of the hospital though she was sure word would travel fast. The bruises did look vicious though... If he was like this during sex then how was he when he was truly mad? Would he hurt her like this? A small whimper escaped her lips.

Syo followed, looking concerned. ''Sorry..'' She looked sheepish, glancing down at the ground guiltily. ''I shoulda warned you earlier..'' She twisted her hands together, still looking awkward, but soon had a idea. ''I got clean clothes at my house. I don't think it's that far away, so if you want, we can head back and see if I can find some?''

Regan shot Zori a glare as he laughed then took the sweater. "Thanks" she mumbled, blushing as she stood up. Some kid laughed when they caught sight of her wet pants. Regan quickly tied the sweater around her waist, her cheeks turning a darker shade of red. She crossed her arms over her chest then looked at Syo. "Yeah, sure thanks."

Zori tried his best to stop and put a hand up to stop the children around them. Some stopped laughing and others continued.

"Alright, alright." He called out, settling the other laughers. "Leave her alone." He took a step forward and bent over, grabbing Regan's legs and picking her up bridle style. "Come on you." He said, walking back to the car. "Let's go Syo. Get her some clothes and then figure out something else that won't make her dirty."

Syo, being the mature person she was, opted to pull a stupid face at the children laughing, before following the others to the car. ''O~kay.'' She kinda felt nervous, since they might think her house looked a bit.. run down, but simply shrugged it off as she climbed into the car.

Regan couldn't help blushing as Zori picked her up. "Hey, you were laughing too" she said, pointing a finger at him. "Don't think I didn't see you." Regan thought the scene over again of her sliding into the mud and cringed. She couldn't believe that just happen in front of her friends, especially Zori.

Zori grinned, putting her in the car. "I did laugh. I won't lie to you. It was funny. But I'm helping you out now." He said, shutting the door before jogging to the other side. He hopped in and within seconds they were off, driving down the road.

"Real nice of you to get her some clothes Syo." He complimented with a small smile. "She's surely embarrassed here."

'' 'S no problem.'' She replied as she fastened her seatbelt, ''I felt kinda bad. I noticed it at last second when I was on it, so I jumped off, but I forgot to tell you guys about it..'' She paused. ''And, uh.. Just a heads up.. My house isn't the poshest place.''

Regan looked out the window, pouting and mumbling to herself. "Yeah, thanks again Syo" Regan finally said. She sighed then started to play with a strand of her hair. "I'm sure your house is perfectly fine."

"It is. I've dropped her off before." Zori said, pulling into the driveway. He remembered the house from the one time before when he'd taken her.

"It's not a bad house Syo. Just a small paint job and it would look brand new." He said with a shrug as he put his car into park.

"I'll wait outside if you want me to."

Alex hears her whimper, and looks to her. He pushes a strand of hair out of her face, "what's wrong?" Lexi smirks, "probably those bruises, Alex." She sneers, Alex blushes. "They look like they hurt like hell." Lexi rolls her eyes. Alex sighs, "shut up, Alexis."

''If you guys wanna come inside, that's fine.'' Syo said as she climbed out of the car. ''In any case, I'll just be a minute.'' She disappeared through the shop entrance, and presumably upstairs to her room. After about a minute, she emerged, a tshirt and pair of jeans in her arms. ''I thiiiink these will fit..'' She approached the car.

Regan followed her inside the house and looked around, thinking it was pretty cool. "Thanks" Regan mumbled, taking the clothes. "Can I go change in a bathroom?" she asked.

"S-Stop." Solana said, looking up at both of them. "Just- Stop. I'm okay... I'll be okay. Alex is just really rough I guess." She said, blushing. "Now people keep asking me if I'm being abused."

Zori turned the car off and followed them inside, looking around as well. He plopped down on the couch, whistling.

''Sure! 'S upstairs, you'll find it.'' Syo said with a smile, before beginning to rummage through the fridge. ''Any of you guys want coke?'' She called, which alerted the attention of someone else. ''Nope, not you,..'' She said to the rather fat tabby cat that had appeared at her feet. ''Can cats even stomach coke..?'' She wondered aloud.

"I could go for a coke." Zori said, nodding his head with a grin before it faltered when he saw the cat. "....Cat? You have a cat..."

Regan walked upstairs and looked around for a bathroom, finding it easily. She closed the door behind her and put on the clothes Syo lent her. The clothes fit fine except the jeans were a little bit tighter but Regan could manage. She went back downstairs and thanked Syo once again. Regan sat on the couch next to Zori then noticed the cat. Regan wasn't a big fan of cats but she could deal being around one.

''Alright.'' Syo began opening up a pack of coke cans. ''Yeah. His name is Coco.. I didn't name him, my dad did.'' The name didn't really seem to suit the grumpy looking cat. ''He just showed up one day. I say 'he', but we have no idea what gender they are.'' She turned, passing a can over to Regan and Zori. ''..Oh, d'ya not like cats?'' She said as she passed over his can, noticing his tone of voice and expression. Coco gave a loud 'mrrow' from by the fridge. It almost sounded like he was trying to say 'meringue'. ''No problem.'' She added in response to Regan.

Zori shook his head. "It's not that. Cats are okay... Is this a nice cat? I like nice cats. I don't like mean cats. No mean cats. Way too many bad experiences with bad cats. Too many scratches... Bad memories." He said, a small shiver running down his back before he gave Regan a once over. "Thanks Syo. For both the coke and the clothes Reggie is wearing." He said teasingly.

''He's alright. He's kinda grumpy, and he's definitely a greedy one-'' The cat gave another indignant meow, as if he understood what Syo had just said, ''-But he doesn't scratch, nah. He's too lazy to.'' She said jokingly. ''No problem. I tried to pick out the least weird clothes I could.'' Syo was probably referencing her weird collection of strange tshirts. Speaking of which, todays tshirt bore a milk carton with a displeased face drawn on it, two blue pigtails sticking out of the sides.

Regan takes the coke and opens it, taking a sip. "No one speaks of this incident to anyone" she said sternly, pointing a finger at the each of them. "Got it?" She tried to stay serious about it but her lips ended up curling into a small smile.

"Oh gosh darn," Zori said sarcastically. "I was going to tell the whole school about it too! Aw, man..." He said, laughing.

Regan looked at him and rolled her eyes playfully. "If you did, I would never talk to you ever again" she said with an innocent smile.

''O~kay. As far as we know, this never even happened.'' Syo nodded, laughing at Zori's comment. Coco skulked off to sit on the table across the room, watching them with his usual, gloomy face.
