Did you have a brain tumor for breakfast?
Dex Gustafsson
I'm just a dead boy
I'll die for you, if you want me to
I'll die for you, if you want me to
“That all the candy you got? You sure you're not holding out on me? Huh??” With Juniper cradled in his arms, Dex tipped the little girl upside down and gently shook her, as if a sprinkle of fun-sized candy bars would fall cartoonishly from her pockets. This was met with peals of giggles and squeals from Juni, which only encouraged her dad to keep it up, until he remembered how much chocolate she'd already scarfed down. Then decided he should probably quit jostling the kid around so much, before the rest of his night was spent cleaning puke up off the living room floor.
On an epic sugar high from her trick or treating haul, Juni continued to bounce off the walls for a good 45 minutes, until she passed out abruptly in front of the TV. Dex scooped her up and delivered her carefully to her bed–teeth unbrushed, not even in her PJs, but he wasn't about to wake the little demon to remedy all that. Trying to get her changed out of her beloved Halloween costume would be tomorrow's battle.
Dex wandered back to the couch and began to flip absently through the channels. Staring at the television, ginger brows knitted in thought, but the pictures on the screen failed to even register to his distracted brain. His mind was elsewhere--on Kiera, to be exact. He wondered how her evening was going, if she was having fun at the bar with her coworkers. Selfishly, he wished she was there with him, straddled by those perfect thighs of hers.
The thought was a nice distraction from his insecure worries, all but convincing him that her drinking buddies were far more charming, funny, better-looking than him–whichever would sway Kiera to give into the drunken urge for a casual hook-up.
Not that he didn't trust his girlfriend. It was more like he still couldn't believe he'd ever snagged her to begin with. Dex was definitely a girlfriend guy, a monogamist, and Kiera, well…was not. She was always a wild one, and Dex couldn't help but wonder if she'd ever be able to fully change her ways just for him. As much as he adored her, it always felt like a waiting game; just waiting for Kiera to realize how boring he was compared to her old life of adventure.
Dex hopped to his feet at the sound of a knock at the door. He made a grab for the candy bowl, but was pleasantly surprised to find Kiera standing out there instead of a group of trick or treaters.
“Hey! What're you doing here??” Dex couldn't contain his elated grin upon finding her at his doorstep. “Needed a candy fix?” He joked, offering Kiera the bowl of sweets as she stepped inside. His free hand wasted no time curling around her hip so he could pull the blonde close and kiss her lips eagerly.
“Mm, and what are you supposed to be?” Dex took a step back to get a proper eyeful of her in this ridiculously sexy getup. Green eyes flickered over the black bustier that hugged the curve of her waist nicely, trimmed in ruffles and little bows. Reaching out to run his thumb along the inner seam of her sweetheart neckline, her skin beneath impossibly soft, as always.“Some kinda hot, goth…superhero?” He teased.
