2024 Mount Finnis Grand Prix - Gerriton Ring​

Practice and Qualifying
The Mount Finnis Grand Prix returns for the first time as a Liètzi Finala location since 1972 at the Gerriton Ring in central Edury.

The slippery slope that is Mount Finnis' lush forests and valleys produced a similar product as compared to Griessloh, where all three practice sessions resulted in mid to heavy rainfall, causing a problem to arise at least once with every team in attendance. During the first practice session of the week to take place on Wednesday, Duquen analytics team and Duquen team principal Timûs Mohand reported troubles with the vehicle's weight distribution causing Kofoed's record time of 1:45:248 to be disqualified due to unfair superiority. Winner of the Renesian Grand Prix just last week, Kala Akina would continue their winning streak as Koefoed's exclusion gave 1st place to them instead, a sentiment that clearly upset the Myrish driver in post practice interviews.

The second and third practice sessions of the week to take place on Thursday and Friday saw similar results where key racers who have held titles in the past were seen losing control of their vehicles due to the downpour in favor of other, less experienced drivers who took notable positions. Threazari racer Amalu Ijjasar took 1st place during the second practice session whereas Hen Hubviur Tudo made her first appearance in a top three position since the Seetish Grand Prix in which she placed 3rd in the race itself. Surprisingly, Kofoed, along with teammate Maawel Yahye and fellow high placing racers such as Menakya Inazu and Aimeric Enguerrand fell below 10th place due to loss of control of their vehicles, the two Duquens both finding themselves in 19th and 18th place with their adversaries not far ahead.

Only in the third practice session did the racers regain their composure, as Kofoed returned to 3rd place only behind unsuspected underdog Odetheus Winguric and Hen Hubviur Tudo, in what might be the greatest turn of events in a 2024 practice session so far. Winguric who had Alnen racer and Reial team test driver Ferec Kobor drive in his stead while he was away during the Griessloh returns to the Gerriton Ring with an outstanding performance at only 1:45:807, where session leader Tudo came it only milliseconds in front of Winguric with a time of 1:45:901.
"For the supposed "Prince of the Track", I was waiting for him to perform like he did in '21; I was not expecting him to start any time soon." said Tudo, translated from Ventoran in a post-race interview.

Qualifying at Gerriton opened at 6 in the morning with a crowd roaring to see its drivers to race on one of the only dry days of the week. Early in the race, pole positions remained steadfast, with fights for space leaving less than inches of error for combatants Hen Hubviur Tudo, Odetheus Winguric, and Aetheling Smith. At around lap 13, Winguric had fallen substantially due to the pursuit of aggressive racers such as Menakya Inazu and Shandi Kyitsaeg Nyag who all made attempts to take the royal's position of second, turned third by Aetheling Smith who continued behind Tudo steadfast.
Kofoed, who began qualifying in 10th was able to rise to the position of 5th, just behind Kala Akina who pinned Kofoed to the barrier for the short remainder of the race. By the end, pole position was held by Hen Hubviur Tudo, who would begin the race in 1st place whereas 2nd and 3rd place went to Aetheling Smith and Shandi Kyitsaeg Nyag.
"The circumstances of Mount Finnis have always been the same for us more experienced drivers, what with the fact there is never a dry day here. This should mean that this track is easily dominated by those who have it memorized, and still some racers are trying to prove me otherwise." said Nyag in a post race interview, translated from Mudruvese.

Grand Prix
Like those which came before it, the 2024 Mount Finnis Grand Prix opened with a rain shower where water coated the surface of the asphalt as the drivers sped off around the winding Gerriton Ring. Previous pole position scoring racers such as Nyag, Inazu, and Akina all fell to positions below 10th place by lap 21, as the rain drastically slowed the pit times of all drivers present, favoring those who began on hard tyres and did not need to box well into lap 30. Lap 51 of 72 saw Aleri racer Oyomere Osandatuwa and Threazari driver Amalu Ijjasar collide with one another during an attempted overtake from Osandatuwa on turn 6. Tac Bengo Admudiar of Ventora and Maawel Yahye of Arbiyardal who occupied 12th and 13th place would each be grazed by the flying debris of Ijjasar's vehicle as it spun out and sent the two of them into a nearby barrier. Lüsbanken team principal Kurt Haagensen would express his disappointment with Tagunya's analytics team for instructing Osandatuwa to make such "brash decisions" in a post race interview.

The expensively violent outturn of the first half of the Grand Prix would only be overshadowed by its ladder half, in which pole position holder Tudo would be seemingly ganged upon by mid-grid holders Aetheling Smith and Egon Kraus, both of which sprung from their spots in 6th and 7th place to usurp the preoccupied former position holders and overtake Tudo in a stunning turn of events. Kraus who suffered to even make one of the point scoring positions at his own home track wins gold in Edury with Eduran national Aetheling Smith taking home a seemingly bitter silver with Tudo behind them both with bronze.
"We could've won that! Are you serious? First race back and we were this close; c'mon guys." voiced Smith to Edonmi team principal, Arueyingho Oghenebrume, over his vehicle's radio upon crossing the fish line.

While Mount Finnis ended on many, mostly waterlogged, notes, the information needed to recreate the same spectacle for Enqusqo next week is vital as the drivers pack up and depart from Godenhaven en route to Txalenqu to race at the illustrious casino side resort that is the Circuit of the Sun. Record flooding in Arbiyardal displaces thousands; raises concerns over climate change.​

From Thursday, floodwaters in the nation's Baradaisan, Kheifwar, and Inner Godere governates have contributed to at least two hundred deaths, with hundreds more missing, and thousands displaced due to damage. Record-setting rain, over double the average for this time of year, is believed to have led to the flooding, according to the National Center for Weather and Natural Disasters.

Flooding is heaviest in the Kheifwar governate, centered around the city of Nasiye, where most of the city's twelve-thousand residents have been displaced due to flooding, officials say. Primarily impacted are minority Manuak communities, located on the outskirts of the city, though everyone is affected. According to authorities, relief efforts are underway but have been hindered by heavy rainfall, continued flooding, and mudslides blocking vital roads. It is unknown when full relief will be provided.

Elsewhere, in Inner Godere, the floodwaters have disrupted agriculture, destroying tens of thousands of acres of farmland, and killing countless livestock animals. "It's like my whole livelihood was destroyed, in an instant. By the time the rains had gone, there was nothing left for me" said one farmer in an interview. Aid and recovery efforts have been more concentrated here, with the crown offering to reimburse farmers for lost or damaged property. Volunteers have also been working around the clock to help victims of the flooding, supplying food, water, temporary housing, and medical services.


In a display of remarkable sympathy, Xaashi Geeljire has personally donated Ꝟ800,000 to charity for the victims. In a press release on Saturday he was quoted as saying "In this time of tragedy, we must remember, we are a strong nation, a union of strong people. We are a nation that will suffer together, and once the floodwater subsides, we will rebuild and move forward together. I urge every citizen of our great Union-State, to reach out, and help in whatever way you can. Together, we can come back from this tragedy stronger than ever before.". Our readers, citizens across Arbiyardal, and people worldwide have been moved by his kind and empowering words, as indicated by the generous donations and offers of humanitarian aid from across Vanatas.

In the wake of this disaster, some deep-blue radicals and critics of the government have blamed the recent flooding on climate change, brought on by the supposedly disastrous environmental policy of the government. However, research conducted by the National Center for Climate and the Environment rebukes this claim, showing that the recent flooding is mostly unrelated and that countries such as Velorenkya and Haksarad have a much more significant impact on changing climates than Arbiyardal.

Current data shows that flooding will likely continue throughout the rest of the month, though less severe, with the Governates of Outer Godere and Masagan being deemed most at-risk. The government urges all residents to contact their local governments for information about the most at-risk regions and create evacuation plans if at all possible.

Prince welcomes newest child into the royal family while enjoying 10th anniversary​

News has come directly from the Palais de Cavalièrs in Datherey that his royal highness, Ludwig Rainulf Ulmburn don Winguric-Söingholz-Solheim, Prince of Rannberg along with his husband Victor Solheim have welcomed their third child into the world via surrogacy with Mr. Solheim's sister. Frits Ulrich Ulmburn don Winguric-Söingholz-Solheim, Archduke of Lazenchor was born at 18h22 in the medical ward of the Palais de Cavalièrs with fathers Prince Ludwig and Victor Solheim, brothers Olav, Archduke of Marifort and Petter, Archduke of Dainmarieham, his royal majesty King Wolfgang III and his wife and children, all in attendance.

Prince Ludwig who earned much criticism due to his marriage to a Myrish man in 2014, continued to inhabit the line of succession while promoting his own children into the line as well. Following the marriage of Prince Ludwig to Myrish socialite and long time university friend, Victor Solheim, a violent legal battle between him and the Chorich Royal Lineage Commission would break out, contesting their marriage as illegitimate under Chorich common law and heritage laws which did not allow for same sex marriages within the monarchy. While these laws would be abolished and replaced with more inclusive ones upon the rise of Ludwig's older brother and currently reigning monarch King Wolfgang III, the damage had already been done, and the relationship between the two became strained.

Upon the birth of Ludwig's eldest son, Olav Winguric-Solheim in Merser, Gladomyr in 2016, Wolfgang would invite his brother to permanently inhabit their childhood residence in Datherery, Siter, as required to be considered for the line of succession. While hesitant at first, Prince Ludwig and Mr. Solheim would agree to return to Datherey and call the Palais de Cavalièrs their home, earning constant visits from his mother, the widowed Queen Katrinė and both brothers King Wolfgang III and former King Dietfried II throughout his stay at the palace.

In an act seemingly born out of disapproval from the Chorich parliament, King Wolfgang III would permit the entrance of Ludwig's singular child at the time into the royal line of succession just behind Ludwig himself, effectively placing him at 8th in the current line of succession. Public outrage would be met with disappointment from Wolfgang who voiced his support of the courtship between his brother and his husband, codifying it as official under the High Court of Siter and Gathen. Olav would be granted the largely ceremonial title of "Archduke of Marifort" to signify his entrance into the royal lineage like his father.

The royal couple would return to Gladomyr in 2018 due to Mr. Solheim's work as a business executive for infamous Myrish banking cooperate Lüsbanken , requiring residence in Gladomyr for a fixed amount of time. During this period of time, the two would announce the coming of their second child, Archduke Petter of Dainmarieham being born only 8 months later in December of 2019. Dowager Queen Katrinė would return to her ancestral homeland of Gladomyr for a short amount of time as to help with the care of both a young Olav and Petter before the group eventually returned to their residence in Datherey.

Now approaching their 10th wedding anniversary, the royal couple announce that they are expecting their third and supposedly final child, the date just so happens to fall on the same week of their wedding anniversary; a closed affair to take place in Gladomyr which King Wolfgang III was supposedly in attendance of. It is reported that Prince Ludwig and Mr. Solheim plan on taking a long awaited vacation to their family beach side estate in Ventora with the newborn archduke once royal protocol has been passed and approved by his personal physicians. Young archdukes Olav and Petter will reportedly reside in the care with the royal family while they are on holiday as they begin to acclimate to permanent life in Siter and Gathen.

Princes Tie the Knot in Two Historic Weddings​

Alutra — Nearly a year ago, headlines across the world were shaken as the heirs to two of Alutra’s oldest royal families were caught in fraganti in an act that has earned them as much support as it has disdain. Today, they’re here to do it all over again, only this time they’re wearing clothes.

In an exciting turn of events that has captivated two entire nations and half a continent, Prince Kašpar of Galvia (aged 23) and Prince Emilo of Ovezia (aged 28) have tied the knot in a grand wedding ceremony, or should we say ceremonies. The historic event took place as a 2-acts story in both countries, blending opulence with heartfelt emotions as the two young princes vowed to spend their lives together, twice.

The first ceremony took place at the Hrotníska Royal Palace in Antonija, Galvia on the 27th of July. It was attended by a constellation of royals, dignitaries and celebrities from around Alutra. Queen Markéta III and Queen Aorura II, both radiant and proud, were seen sharing a warm embrace and engaging in lively conversation, symbolizing the unity between both royal families. Among the notable guests were Grand Secretariat Janek Čermák, Prince Felix Tyriol of Renesia, King Mathijs II of Ecoralia, and King Wolfgang III of Siter and Gathen.

The second ceremony was held at the Royal Palace of Ilena, Ovezia on the 3rd of August. Although the main guest list remained the same, with members of both royal families attending again such as Kašpar’s siblings, Anastázie and Šimon, and the Ovezian Premiára Lhara Cãtavéu, foreign attendees varied, with some of the most notable names being Regent Isidro Duarte of Ventora, Lord Magistrate Jonaþ Þestelrenþ of Edury, and King Henrik IV of Gladomyr.

Despite the initial controversy, and alleged denied invitations from some diplomatic missions to both Ovezia and Galvia, the attendance at the weddings were a true attestment to the sturdy and close relationships both nations have not only with each other but their respective allies and neighbors.

The weddings, masterclasses in regal elegance, featured traditional elements from both Galvian and Ovezian cultures. During the first ceremony the princes exchanged vows under a stunning floral arch, in traditional Venkovist fashion, custom for all weddings within the Royal Family. The exchange of rings, crafted from Ovezian gold and inlaid with Galvian rubies, took place in Ilena and was officiated, secularly, by Queen Aorura II herself.

Guests were treated to lavish receptions in the grand ballroom, where seven-tier cakes, adorned with intricate sugar flowers representing the national flowers of both nations, took center stage. The menus were a fusion of Galvian and Ovezian delicacies, curated by renowned chefs from both countries.

Unfortunately, the events were not without their grim moments. Large protests, particularly during the opening ceremony in Antonija, took place in the area around the venue. Galvian military personnel had to be deployed in order to ensure the safety of the royals and the foreign guests, which resulted in 13 casualties, none fatal. Despite this, the atmosphere was overwhelmingly positive, with public celebrations erupting in both Galvia and Ovezia, as well-wishers gathered to toast the couple’s happiness amidst the loud bigoted minority.

As the princes embark on their married life, Prince Kašpar and Prince Emilo have announced plans to focus on philanthropic efforts, particularly in the areas of LGBTQ+ rights and their protection, not only domestically but globally. This sentiment was shared and endorsed by their mothers and heads of state of their respective nations.

Antonija — Back home, and despite the overwhelming positivity surrounding the heartwarming event, discussions around the future of the monarchy and its line of succession have already started taking place in the Royal Palace, our sources claim. With Prince Kašpar’s now confirmed inability to produce a natural heir to the Galvian throne, political journalist and royal historical archivist, Přema Bědajánek, claims it would be “unwise for the Royal Family to keep His Highness, Prince Kašpar as next in line to the throne, seeing as how he’ll be succeeded by his younger sister, Princess Anastázie, regardless”.

Princess Anastázie (aged 21) is the younger sister of Prince Kašpar and second in line to the Galvian throne. Usually, siblings to the heir apparent tend to move down the line of succession as the latter starts to have children, however, due to Kašpar’s inability to produce a natural heir, this will not be the case and experts believe the best course of action would be for the Crown Prince to renounce his birthright in favor of his sister, who otherwise would have to wait for her older brother to either pass away or abdicate before ascending the throne. Discussions around this very topic have seemingly already been taking place since the princes were first engaged earlier this year, but so far comments have yet to come from the Royal Family.

Outlandsmastery condemns political violence in Cities of Enqusqo, offers support​

Outlandsmaster Scaftnoth Marley said in a statement today that Edury condemns the use of violence to achieve political means in Enqusqo, and offers condolences to the family of the late Mula Tin Tun, and whatever support can be offered to Enqusqo.

The Grand Senator, the aformentioned Mula Tin Tun, was assassinated on the 20th of July, whereafter the country was plunged into violence and chaos as the Public Senate, the equivalent in Enqusquo to the Ledemeet of Boroughmen, struggles to deal with the lack of leadership. The Regal Senate- the body which serves as Enqusqo's Head of State- vetoed a motion in the Public Senate to appoint one Sive Tsin Yono, the Chief Treasurer of Enqusquo, as the new Grand Senator. The body then dissolved the Public Senate, calling for new elections. Following the decree, the Senate was overwhelmed by violence, as its own members assaulted certain high-ranking dignitaries.

Marley has said that Edury stands by the Enqusqan people, and will continue to support them in any way they can.

Lord Magistrate Jonaþ Þestelrenþ attends marriage ceremony of Galvian, Ovezan Princes​

Lord Magistrate Jonath Thestelrenth has just returned from the Ovezia wedding ceremony of Prince Kašpar of Galvia, and Prince Emilio of Ovezia.

The two princes, after being caught kissing by tabloids last year, have sworn their love for each other in twin ceremonies in Antonija and Ilena, in front of their families and dignitaries from around the world.

"I'd like to offer my congratulations to their Highnesses, the Lord Magistrate said shortly after the reception, "And on behalf of the Eduran people, I'd like to wish them many, many happy years of marriage and partnership."

The Lord Magistrate attended in his full Republican regalia, but wore a simple suit instead of a morning coat or tails. The Republican regalia for the Lord Magistrate consists of the Magisterial sash, the collar of a minister, and the badge of a member of the Ledemeet of Boroughmen.

The Lord Magistrate gave the Princes a Myrish oven as a wedding gift.

Crown Princess Azeni continues Alutran diplomat tour following Ovezian wedding

Alutra - Work continues today on the Gemurtrakian diplomatic mission through key nations of Alutra following the conclusion of what has been noted by various publications as a "momentous yet controversial" wedding between Prince Kašpar of Galvia and Prince Emilo of Ovezia, a milestone event for the LGBTQ+ community the world over. Crown Princess Azeni had been the royal representative alongside Foreign Minister Tameke Mazhuri on behalf of the Gemurtrak Imperial family and government respectively to the royal wedding. The Princess had been seen during the event conversing with a multitude of Alutran royalty, in particular her brother Prince Pyage seen along with his wife, the Princess of Ellersgarde. They were seen catching up and enjoying the illustrious events of the wedding of the two princes whom they have been supportive of since the reveal of their relationship last year.

This event was the start of a larger planned series of visits by the Gemurtrakian royal on behalf of her father, Metenyanu, with the intent of smoothening relations following the heightening tensions of the Agar Civil War, a conflict Gemurtrak had declared last year that they were commited to assisting Haksarad in despite Republic Minister Kentago's statements during his election campaign. While certainly the most extravegant of events the Crown Princess will be visiting, she has notified a visit to Siter & Gathen as part of the scheduled visits to see her brother again alongside the diplomatic discussions she intends to have with the wider Choric royal family as Gemurtrak seeks to expand its trade ties within the Serpentine Region. this growth of interestshas only recently been spurned by the royal ties between the Choric and Gemurtrakian families in 2022.

Many at home see this recent visit by the Crown Princess as a continuation of her growing strength within the Imperial family and popularity among the more liberal members of Gemurtrak society who have seen her avid support of her brothers marriage of an Alutran woman, as well as her most recent visit to the first LGBTQ+ royal wedding the world has seen, as a stark contrast to her father and his weak stances taken recently within government. Discussions of anti-monarchy sentiments have grown in recent years with most linking the decline in political stability as of late to the King's neglect to govern, these same people believing Azeni's appointment to the throne may shake up what is being seen as a stagnant part of the wider government.

Following the birth of a new royal baby, the Chorich Royal Family has decided to break their leave of absence to attend the royal wedding between Prince Kašpar of Galvia and Prince Emilo of Ovezia. Kašpar, who is the cousin of the current heirs to the Chorich throne through his grandmother, invited the royals to attend the ceremony uniting him and his lover in matrimony at the Hrotníska Royal Palace in Antonija, Galvia on the 27th of July. In attendance and sat next to his wife, and brother was his royal majesty, King Wolfgang III with his wife Queen Cieca and brother Prince Ludwig.
Notably missing from the King's entourage was his eldest brother, former King Dietfried II and his brother's own husband, Mr. Victor Solheim. Reports from the couple's residence in Datherey report Mr. Solheim watching over their younger children, Frits, a newborn, and Petter, aged 4 being the reason he could not attend, while varying sources claim Mr. Solheim was denied invitation due to his lack of royal parentage. The circumstances surrounding Dietfried II's absence are still unknown.

The king and queen had arrived earlier last weekend to pay a visit to their relative and current reigning Galvian monarch, Queen Markéta III at her residence in Antonija, of which she had not seen since the last royal wedding to take place in 2022 between Wolfgang's own daughter, Princess Rosamonde and Prince Pyage of Gemurtrak, two royals who were also in attendance for the ceremony and precession to take place last Wednesday.
Prince Ludwig reportedly landed in Antonija by way of private jet on Tuesday, with his eldest son Olav in toe. Olav, who is only 6 years old, was seen helping decorate the royal venue before guests and paparazzi arrived Wednesday morning. Prince Ludwig was sat in a loft above the hall with young Olav in order to prevent any disruptions the 6 year old may bring, while also shielding the Archduke from any awry paparazzi, an aspect of royal life the Prince has tried to shield all three of his sons from since their official entrance into the royal scene.
The elder royals in attendance reportedly gifted very extravagant gifts to the new couple, Queen Cieca and King Wolfgang III contributing a collection of royal jewelry and regalia, particularly those from the old Martic collection including the Marquis Diadem and the Diadèma de Safir, a headpiece worn by the Archduchess Victorie throughout the Second Chorich Civil War.
Prince Ludwig, on behalf of his absent husband Mr. Victor Solheim and three children, gifted the young royals an estate in the upper Alnenscennes located on the privately owned villa town of Argent sus la nèu, a stunning estate and vacation home for the couple to use as they please. The villa was reportedly owned by the royal family until Prince Ludwig later bought it from his brother before being gifted his current royal residence in Datherey.

Only recently married themselves, the royal wedding in Galvia is the first royal event the new royal couple has attended as husband and wife. Princess Rosamonde with her husband, Prince Pyage of Gemurtrak would attend in tandem with Pyage's sister and crown princess of Gemurtrak, Princess Azeni. Both being prepared to take the title of monarch of their respective countries, the Princess of Ellersgarde and Princess of Gemurtrak break adversity by sharing their ideals of progressivism and philanthropy. Prince Pyage was also able to converse with his sister in length over the goings on the Gemurtrakian monarchy at the current moment, though these conversations remained private between the two as reporters and journalists were not allowed past the barriers of the palace's entrance safe for a minuscule few who earned special permission from both the Galvian and Ovezian governments and news outlets.
Traditional Gemurtrakian decor and clothing was gifted on behalf of the Princess of Ellersgarde and the Gemurtrakian royal family who could not be attendance, though public thanks was only given to Princess Rosamonde, Princess Azeni, and Prince Pyage earning scrutiny from many Gemurtrakian outlets who felt their contribution more than enough to the already "radical event".

All of the Winguric children were present for the marriage of their distant cousin in Galvia as well. While not directly there due to their father, a majority of their time together was spent catching up with one another and discussing the current events in their shared home country. Conrad, who has been nearby in Galvia since his stationing there early last year was able to earn an extended stay of leave from the Chorich military in order to attend the event, where as Nickolaus who has been living in Gladomyr since attending university flew in from Denkev the day of the event in order to attend. Odetheus, the youngest of the Winguric siblings has been Edury since his participation in the Mount Finnis Grand Prix last weekend, where from he will fly out of Antonija back to his homeland of Gathen to participate in the Gathenizi Grand Prix this weekend.

Besides the marriage of two royals to one another, news unfolds from Ovezia as princess and younger sister of groom Prince Emilo, the Princess Elena is reportedly in a relationship with Chorich heart throb, Prince Odetheus. While no news is confirmed as of late, the two were often seen near one another throughout the ceremony, and seated next to each other when Elena was not apart of her brother's party. This has stirred mixed feelings amongst royal enthusiasts who already see the Chorich royals' attempt to widen their influence through marriage as taboo, though their relationship has sparked many to speculate it is due to the fact Emilo will be pressured into abdicating his right as heir to the Ovezian throne. Odetheus, who is 6th in line to the throne behind his 5 other siblings serves little to no chance of ever becoming regent of Siter and Gathen, thus meaning a courtship with the future heir unable to produce a natural heir could prove fortunate for a possible future king consort of Ovezia.

MAZULOT - Ătsa Kradnavek, the President of Vojandzeka, has not been seen in public for almost 8 months. That was until Thursday evening, when the president broke his silence---presenting a 30-minute speech in the lobby of the Vojanak capitol building to a small crowd of journalists and curious supporters.

The speech had been announced the day prior. President Kradnavek presented a pre-written speech for 30 minutes, followed by a 10-minute period for questions, before the president waved and disappeared behind his bodyguards and back away from the public eye.

The speech, which contained a series of statements on the recent royal marriage between Ovezian and Galvian princes, his health, and the state of the country, caught the attention of much of the nation.

"Thank you, and it is an innumerable pleasure to be seated in front of you all today to give this presentation on the country,"

The president started, sitting down on a stool in front of his podium. Kradnavek dropped out of the public eye sometime around September of 2022 due to a series of health problems---one of which being a severe decrease in motor and nerve function, which has resulted in the president's use of a cane and being unable to stand for long periods at a time.

Documents on the president's health were leaked in February of this year, which included, among other things, that Kradnavek had been diagnosed with epilepsy, Bell's palsy, and multiple sclerosis.

"I would like to start with the presentation of a single fact - I am not dead, and I do not plan on doing so any time soon [...] every month, my wonderful doctors are saying that I am improving, which is a good thing. I am in the midst of motile repairs to my limbs. They are saying I will be part robot, and part Vojanak hero."

Kradnavek went on to comment on several current events, such as the recent marriage between Prince Kašpar of Galvia (aged 23) and Prince Emilo of Ovezia (aged 28) in the capital of Galvia.

"Well, it is good for them to make such an endeavor. No, really. I know I would not be brave enough to do such things, you know, with another fella. Not like I ever would like to, though. [...] Some might say, you know, that their evenness - it is not perfect. And that is okay. I know the Galvians, they don't like our faith, our Stroomist faith. I have some sources, some friends in Galvia. They are saying that they plan on making Stroomism---the blood of our people---they're saying that they are going to make it illegal to practice it. It's true."

"To tell you the truth though, I don't give a damn that they are two fellas who are kissing one another. In fact, it was under my administration that gay marriage was legalized in our beautiful republic in 2012--a step that Gojle and those before me were too afraid to take."

"But, I didn't attend their wedding. Well, perhaps I would have--just to be a kindly neighbor--if the gilded and festooned Galvians in Antonija, gorging on their grand meals served on silver and auereat platters, didn't ban our people from even thinking about crossing the border into theirs. It's a story we all know too well here in Vojandzeka. But I'm about to tell you the real reason why we aren't allowed to reach out to our neighbors and friends across that border. It's because they are scared of our spirit---of our will to not be ruled by a well-fed woman living a million miles away in a haughty palace, wondering if she will be eating foie gras or oysters caught fresh from the Onse Bay tonight--as opposed to wondering if she will be eating at all."

"If you have seen any photos from this wedding, you'll be well aware just how much money these buttery nobles are willing to spend on something so fleeting as a wedding ceremony. Just look at the photos--golden regalia, golden scepters, for crying out loud--the pillow they put the golden crown on when their precious necks get too tired is gold too--gold mined by children in some faraway country who don't even know how to count to 10 or recite their alphabet."

"That's when I realized. Us Vojanaks have been through it all. We have been dragged through the muddy trenches of our homeland, which still scar our nation today. Our kids cannot set off fireworks on our national day, or roughhouse too hard, lest their mother have another panic attack. We saw our fathers, brothers, sons, uncles, and our friends take their final step out of the front door. And we saw them give us a single brave--yet infinitely scared--final wave and a nod, to show that they'll be alright. Now, while our fathers, brothers, sons, uncles, and friends lay in coffins, the Galvians lay in their horse-drawn carriages and supercilious beds. And they have the gall to say that we're the backwards ones?"

"So, I say, go and explore the beautiful Vojanak rolling Bregashian hills, and the marshes of the Khetsez, and the Pladuvian flood plains. Look at the Vojanak people. They are scarred, just like the trenches scar our nation's landscapes. But look a little harder, and you will see that their eyes and voice share more gold than the entire Galvian royal capital. And the Vojanaks' gold wasn't mined by some bleeding foreign children and exploited workers. They---we---mined it ourselves."

"So, Galvians. I hope that your wedding is good. I hope you enjoy yourselves, and I hope you don't eat too much so that your belly gets upset. And most of all, I wish the two princes ever-lasting love. But no, we as Vojanaks will not forget the scars left on us as a nation. We will not forget the 1 out of every 5 men aged 20-30 who never came home. And until you cast aside your prejudice and hatred long enough to learn that our trench-muddied faces are still just faces, we will not let go of what you've done. It will not be over until Vojanak and Galvian children can play in harmony."

The Vojanak president concluded the speech to a small round of applause, and proceeded to answer three questions, all of which were in regards to his health. The president promised he will be in better health soon.

Antonija – In a response that can only be described as a masterpiece in diplomatic rebuttal, Galvia’s Grand Secretariat, Janek Čermák, took the stage today for his mid-term speech to the House of Representatives and the Cabinet of Ministers, at the end of which he choose to address recent comments made by Vojanak President, Ătsa Kradnavek.

Kradnavek, who resurfaced after an 8-month hiatus, gave a speech that was part state-of-the-nation and part stand-up routine, complete with a not-so-subtle jab at Galvia and Ovezia’s royal weddings spectacle.

"Well, I suppose I should start by saying that, unlike some people, I haven't been hiding away from the public for the better part of a year," Čermák began, with a wink that might have been visible from space. "And while President Kradnavek has been busy auditioning for a role in the next dystopian drama, we here in Galvia have been, you know, governing."

Čermák, a spry 42-year-old (and not one to let people forget it), took the opportunity to highlight that he is, in fact, younger than the 75-year-old Kradnavek. "I'd like to think my age, and the fact that I wasn’t alive during the last two world wars, gives me a bit more energy and sanity to deal with actual issues, rather than spinning yarns about golden pillows and fairy tale kingdoms."

Addressing Kradnavek's claims that Galvia plans to outlaw Stroomism, Čermák didn't mince words. "It seems President Kradnavek has been reading too many fantasy novels. No, we are not outlawing anyone's faith. In fact, the only thing we're considering outlawing is bad taste in speeches."

Čermák also had a few choice words about the Vojanak leader's portrayal of Galvia's opulence. "Yes, we do enjoy a good wedding. And yes, we do use gold—because it’s, well, gold. But let's not pretend that Vojandzeka is the only one with a history. Galvia hasn't forgotten its past, unlike some might claim. We've just chosen not to wallow in it."

He went on to point out the practical benefits of a strong, albeit shiny, economy. "Gold and other forms of luxury aren’t just for show. They're an investment, a symbol of stability, and respect for our guests and our history. Something that, judging by Kradnavek's speech, Vojandzeka could use a little more of. And let's be clear, no child labor was involved. Unlike our southern neighbors, our country and its socio-economic partners from all over the world prefer our children in classrooms, not mines. And most definitely wouldn't dare to badmouth each other for the sake of proving a made up point."

The Grand Secretariat closed with a message of cautious optimism. "Despite President Kradnavek's attempt at historical fiction, we do hope for a future where Vojanak and Galvian children can play together, without the weight of past prejudices. But let's get one thing straight: it will be on terms of mutual respect and truth, not fabricated tales of victimhood."

Čermák's presentation concluded with a standing ovation from his peers and a final farewell as the Grand Secretariat's last mid-term speech, as he begins to prepare for the new electoral campaign cycle starting in September before the general elections in January of next year.

ONAT Potential new member!
The Myrish parliament has initiated the first step in their journey to join ONAT by submitting the 1st level paperwork to ONAT. There has not been any addition to the ONAT core since the organization's inception, as such, joining might require a lot of time and bureaucratic power to finalize Gladomyr being the 4th ONAT core member. This is a significant step that helps propel Alutra toward a more peaceful and prosperous future.

Initially, Gladomyr was at a crossroads between joining the AF or ONAT and leaning toward the AF for its close proximity. However, after resolving the border dispute between Gladomyr and Ordrey and receiving a huge backlash from the Myrish people and with the Agarad situation the AF pledged its support to Velorenkya, distancing themselves from Gladomyr and any peaceful remedies.

Kleolaion and Arbiyardal are both seeking more ways to strengthen their relationship, even though the proposed security agreement fell through due to increased tensions in Agarad, both nations seem optimistic about creating new economic and cultural treaties between the two nations and created the Arbiyardal-Kleolaikos Cooperation Initiative (AKCI) to look for more ways to bring the countries closer. Vojanak President Kradnavek appeared on the 10th of August after almost 8 months of his disappearance, many expected him to be dead due to his medical papers being leaked as well as the long silence. The Grand Secretariat Čermák of Galvia gave his mid-term speech to the House of Representatives and Cabinet of Ministers that stated the rapid growth of Galvia over the recent years and in what ways Galvia could improve itself further. Toward the end of the speech, Čermák addressed some points made by the Vojanak President Kradnavek during his speech, mentioning that despite his age Kradnavek can play a big role. The Grand Secretariat also mentioned that there is a slight misunderstanding when it comes to Stroomism's role in Galvia. Kleolaion Energy Treaties​

Kleolaion is known for its energy treaties with its neighbouring countries that help stabilise energy prices in participating countries. Kleolaion sits under a large reserve of oil and gas, even though most is hard to get to and requires expensive methods like Fracking, it still produces and sells enough to make the smallest amounts of profits and it is thanks to having a constant guaranteed demand generated through having energy treaties with countries like Ventora and Threazari.

Then, why does Renesia not also form an energy treaty with Kleolaion? It would seem like it would benefit both nations greatly as Renesia is known for its large amount of energy imports. This can be attributed to one main issue; Politics. Kleolaion and Renesia do not share the best history with each other, even though Renesia has approached Kleolaion multiple times to mend the rift between the two nations Kleolaion seems adamant about their unreasonable demands of releasing an independent Fern before signing any energy treaty with them. There are also Galvia and Ecoralia to consider, they are currently providing huge amounts of energy to Renesia and they would lose significantly if Renesia switches to Kleolaion which may strain relationships with Galcia and Ecoralia. CTWL one-sided agreement?​

It has been 24 years since the creation of CTWL and many criticize it for only benefiting the Chorich people. Our expert researched the 24 years extensively for both cultural and economic impact of CTWL.

Culturally, no one can argue the benefits of bringing in new ideas as well as Chorich integration in the host country thanks to CTWL facilitating everything to the Chorich newcomers. However, economic benefits vary differently by province in Renesia, with the most provinces benefiting from CTWL being Erberg and Laagburg. ERRDIC has been on pause ever since the relationship between Edury and Renesia soured drastically with the Eduran plans to close additional coal mines and the Tiler incident. Although there are no official statements from either government the Nobles in Renesia and the Other Party members in Edury both call to cancel ERRDIC and go their own separate ways.

Renesia unveils GRAF-1​

This week the Renesian military made a huge announcement, they unveiled an AI fighter jet in cooperation with Roon-Y, Zeckter, and Happy Solutions. Wido Schreier, the Minister of Military Affairs, said that this is the first weapon to be part of the Future Artificial Soldier System (F-ASS for short) [Zukünftiges künstliches Soldatensystem or ZUS for short]. Schreier also stated that this will revolutionize warfare decreasing unnecessary casualties.

The current performance of GRAF-1 exceeds the performance of any fighter jet piloted by the Renesian Air Force. The plane itself was made to be completely unmanned, and little is known about the AI itself. ESHI—The harsh roads of Alero have by no means been the matador's strong suit in the past; however 2024 saw the Ventoran earn his Aleri wings with the likes of Alf Muuhre, Phaengdrem C. Makh, Aksel Huitfeldt, Ludvig Buhre, and Muyȝisek Ledruyr each having incidents which barred them from the fight for the win.

It was a battle of attrition over the weekend, and Satuar was awarded for his consistency—something Muuhre wishes he had had. The Myr, who has had an exemplary history in Alero, was dominating with a lead of 20 seconds for 14 of the 20 stages prior to a rollover accident on SS15 which left Muuhre with over 3 minutes dropped.

Satuar's tight battle with Huitfeldt for the rally win following Muuhre's accident had looked like it was leaning in Huitfeldt's favor, but a mechanical glitch that Huitfeldt claims was a "fault with the turbo" costed the Myr the rally win during the very last stage, dropping the Myr into P2.

"I'm happy with the performance that we had this weekend," Satuar said. "Of course, there is also places where I could have done better. But a win in Alero is always nice."

"Really sorry for Alf and Sone, they had amazing pace all weekend. For us, we had bad luck in the Covales, and now we have a bit of good luck here in Alero. Give and take, that's motorsport."

P2 for Huitfeldt, however, has protected RSW's impenetrable lead of the manufacturer's cup in Matara Kuzha's absence from any admirable position in the leaderboard—which ultimately caused the Gemurtrakian's loss of the season lead which he had held since January.

Another crew with a disappointing weekend was Ludvig Buhre and co-driver Einar Dahlgren, who faced a setback early on in the weekend on the final stage of Friday's loop.

"Too fast, and I flipped the car," was all Buhre had to say after limping to the finish line following a half-roll on the final kilometer of SS7.

As the Koranelan poetically put it, he had gone too fast into a corner and collected the edge of the road, which sent the Thechei onto its side. It cost Buhre over three minutes, and put a significant hamper on the young driver's hopes for a cup title.

"Well, I didn't exactly think too much coming into the rally. You have to temper your expectations like that. Four points in the power stage still, so [Billing] is only one point in front." Buhre said.

Ludvig Buhre's hopes for a title are now harder than ever to accomplish.

Buhre's fall on the rally leaderboard and Ailith Billing's final sunday position plus powerstage win had the pair swap positions, but separated by only 1 point. Ailith Billing will go to Rally Ventora in fourth place overall in the cup.

Eyewumi Omatsola would come home with two stage wins on home turf, but that wasn't enough to turn the tide in his favor. Unfortunately for Omatsola, a spin in SS10 was disastrous for his final time, dropping him over 2 minutes in time as the Aleri hopped out to repair the subsequent front right puncture.

Phaengdrem Makh was once again close to a debut rally victory, but the roads of the Kekere had different plans. The Mudruvese crew briefly led the rally after SS2, battling Senagnio Satuar until a devastating tire delamination left Phaengdrem 44 seconds off pace during SS10.

A turbocharger issue in SS16 and SS17 saw the Mudruvese hemorrhage more time. Phaengdrem would have to leave satisfied with his final position of P6 in a game where luck, sometimes, is the deciding factor between glory and shame.

Muyȝisek Ledruyr, too, was on pace for a remarkable result. The Ochsardvian's aggressive driving style was seemingly paying off, until an impromptu safari of the Aleri roadside left Ledruyr with a puncture, leaving him with a deficit of over 2 minutes.

Linde Prisobe faced a similar fate on Friday—except the Ventoran had the Veumvirks he was driving to blame. Terminal mechanical issues, and unlike Ledruyr, he retired early. It was another devastating rally for the Myrish manufacturer, with two of three drivers falling off the table.

Hulderic Arends' podium was not just impressive, but historic.​

But there were also big winners of this rally. Hulderic Arends was the surprise star of Alero this year, and Veumvirks' last hope.

Despite it being the newbie's second ever rally in a QS classification car, his and co-driver Rean Bezuidenhout's commendable consistency and performance allowed the crew to cruise into an unbelievable third place position overall. After a lukewarm performance in the Covales, the young Ecoralian will surely draw the eye of several manufacturers before his return to QS classification in November at PURELUX Rally Gladomyr.

Fourth place was Ailith Billing's reward, on a weekend where every rock, tree, and grain of sand was out to get him. Although the Eduran was not on his top game, fourth place was nothing to spit at. He had made it to the finish line unscathed.

The same could be said for Oswin Reto, whose final P5 position makes for his best placement of the season so far. It's another rally under the belt for the newcomer, and a commendable one at that.

Q1 CLASSIFICATION

Before the rally even began, all eyes were on Mads Sundin to do what he does best—win the rally. And the Myr did not disappoint, soaring into the top step of the podium on Friday morning and not letting go, flying past the finish line with a +40.2 second lead on second place's Burkhard Cenric.

"It's a joy to drive this rally, and I love every second of it. It's some of the best roads in the world; this is why we rally!" Sundin stated.

It's Sundin's second ever victory at Rally Alero, the Myr and Taamverdauer co-driver Kanotjitube Joorvin winning the rally for the first time in 2022.

It was Burkhard Cenric's first ever podium in the Kasaren rally, despite the Gasteiganian having started this rally 6 times in the past. "It's a pleasure to be sure," Cenric stated, "But there's plenty more to come for this season. Let's see what happens in Ventora."

Philémon Leveque would have finished in third place; however he had elected beforehand to not participate in this event for driver's points—an option Q1 drivers have to practice and build confidence in a rally that is not one of their maximum of 8 rallies they choose to score points in per season.

Instead, Ta'aroha's Naiá Cambuci would swoop in to pick up where Leveque left off, rounding out this year's Q1 podium for Alero Air Rally Alero.

Ka'akupe Camocim (Ta'aroha; Fainey FE-70 Q1), Edie Billing (Edury; Skogsmester Elektra EVO Q1), Cleto Correia (Watan; Skogsmester Elektra EVO Q1), and Audmer Triemiouccuo (Ventora; Skogsmester Elektra EVO Q1) make up the top 7 in the Q1 category.

SAUJIL — Alf Müühre scored an impervious victory at Rally Ventora, running away at the front as his Grand Rally Cup rivals repeatedly ran into trouble on the infamously tricky event. The victory was a welcome bounce back after a disastrous Alero Air Rally Alero, in which he crashed out of the fight for the lead. He’d made a point to bring the car home in one piece and was rewarded for his consistency.

"It feels great, it feels like [...] like the hard work has paid off. And I felt like Alf Müühre again," Müühre stated, "All weekend, the feeling in the car was fantastic; we had a little bit of issues with the drivetrain this morning, but it all worked out."

Müühre established his lead on SS5 Leritiva 1, and held it with an iron grip until the very last kilometer of road on Sunday—coming home with a powerstage win as well.

Müühre, of course, was the defending winner of Rally Ventora, having placed on the top step of the podium at Ventora in 2023 as well. "It's quickly becoming one of these rallies that I am quite special at," Müühre added in a post-rally conference.

All eyes were on Matara Kuzha for a good result headed into Ventora. Kuzha is, after all, a previous winner of the event. Indeed, the Gemurtrakian had managed to find a niche within third place going into Sunday—a single spot ahead of his title rival Senagnio Satuar who he relinquished his spot to at Alero Air Rally Alero.

"What luck" - Kuzha's nightmare comes true in Ventora as title hopes become more distant.​

It wasn't meant to be, however. The Trakian was faced with terminal suspension damage after hitting a large rock that had been displaced by the cars in front right into the driveline. It was another disappointing event for Kuzha, having placed unfavorably in Alero as well. It was enough, in fact, to boot Kuzha down yet another place into third. The fight is now on between Müühre and Satuar.

While the gap to the top for Kuzha grows further and further away, the gap to fourth becomes exponentially tighter. The Gemurtrakian's gap to fourth is now separated by just one point, with Ailith Billing now practically crawling into Kuzha's backseat.

Ailith Billing isn't slowing down either. The Eduran had been Müühre's nearest rival for victory during most of the event, but the gap to first was impenetrable, even for the two-time world champion Billing. He would come away with a final position of P2; leaps and bounds away from the disaster that was Rally de Covales earlier this year.

With Kuzha falling off the table and part-timer Huitfeldt choosing not to participate in this event, RSW's last hope laid in other part-timer Muyȝisek Ledruyr to score points for the manufacturer. Luckily for the Eduran manufacturer, the Ochsardvian made it to the last red boards in a respectable fifth place. Ledruyr had climbed up the leaderboard from 9th place, punching upwards at an event which is not the Ochsardvian's strong suit.

The runner-up in the manufacturer's cup Thechei had a troublesome weekend as well, with Koranel's Ludvig Buhre tumbling down the standings after having a tire puncture on the first real stage of the rally, SS3, leading to a large deficit in time.

Thechei's Ludvig Buhre was obviously left disappointed by the incident, which is yet another damper on the Koranelan's troublesome season thus far. His victory in the Covales surely feels like a long time ago by now. He would finish the rally however, but sitting in an unkindly seventh place.

Buhre' teammate Phaengdrem C. Makh was the Mudruvese manufacturer's saving grace, battling temporarily for second place before falling down the standings into a fourth place. It was a flawless weekend for Phaengdrem however, and that means points gained on RSW, which is as good as a win in Thechei's book.

Ventora was both Namos' and Senagnio Satuar's home event, and Satuar was hoping to end the 3-year drought of a Ventoran winning Rally Ventora. He would unfortunately come short after briefly leading the rally through Thursday and Friday, but would ultimately round out the podium in P3 overall. The Ventoran has yet to come away from a rally he completed this season in a position that's not on the podium.

Reto was unlucky at his manufacturer's home event.​

Satuar's teammate, however, wasn't so lucky. After placing P5 at Alero, Oswin Reto was the first to have a major crash on the penultimate stage of Saturday. Misjudging his speed into a tight turn, Reto fruitlessly attempted to brake but ended up tumbling through a field instead. Despite the grisly wreckage, both Reto and co-driver Ascwin Till would walk away from the accident unharmed.

Skogsmester's Eyewumi Omatsola faced a less glorious retirement before the final stage of Friday, as his Skogsmester seemingly gave out under him as he was on the road section towards SS9 Leritiva 2. Omatsola attempted fruitlessly to repair the mystery engine issue, but would ultimately have to dejectedly call for retirement.

As the title fight heats up with Alf Müühre climbing into second, we asked some top analysts who they believe will come away with the 2024 Grand Rally Cup Title.

"My heart is saying Alf, but the more logical part of my brain is saying Senagnio. He's shown absolutely incredible performance throughout this season, so I really think he's nearing that second title soon." says one analyst.

"My job is to be unbiased, but I think Senagnio has a fairly strong case for the win. The man is a miracle—he's been in the fight since 2006 and he still manages to get better year after year. I think this year, he'll claim trophy number 2." says Ketil Goplen, journalist for GRC.com.

"Well it's no doubt Senagnio has the momentum, but I think Alf just has something about him, and of course he's the defending title winner. I know him quite well, and I think Ventora is just the step he needs to conduct a trick similar to last season and pull away at the last minute with the title." says Mads Mathre, team boss for Veumvirks Motorsport.

"I think it's far too early to say. Senagnio is the obvious pick, but Alf has been in this situation twice before in the past and both times it has worked out in his favor. I also think not all hope is lost for Matara, I'd argue it's still a three-way battle. Just give one bad event to Senagnio and Alf, and Matara has the chance to leap to the occasion and fight like hell." Says one more analyst.

Truly, it is hard to say. Perhaps we'll know better by next month's event at Fainey Rally Lathadu.

Naiá Cambuci pulled away with the win after Sundin's premature exit.​

It's quite unlike Mads Sundin to make a critical error, which is exactly why everyone was surprised when the rally leader crashed out in spectacular fashion on Saturday, promoting Ewesport teammate Naiá Cambuci into the rally lead; a position he held for the rest of the weekend.

"It's fantastic to be on the top step of the podium again, it always is. And this is of course such a boon to my season so far. I don't have any words, really. Just happy for now." Cambuci stated.

"It happens. That's rally. We'll get it done next time, no doubt," Sundin stated after the crash. When asked what happened, Mads Sundin told reporters after his off, "You cannot get distracted at such high speeds, and unfortunately a turn or two before, I had heard a sort of noise that I thought might be the car. So I was there trying to listen for it again and that's when my concentration failed, and we crashed."

While Sundin made it away from the wreck unscathed, the Myr's Taamverdauen co-driver, Kanotjitube Joorvin, would be airlifted to a nearby hospital as a precautionary measure; Joorvin complaining of upper back pain and being unable to exit the vehicle unassisted.

"He is most likely just fine. In our business though, it is better to be safe rather than sorry. So I hope Kanotjitube starts to feel better quickly."

Although the wreck happened on Saturday, Joorvin's health concerns had the crew retire for the remainder of the event, opting not to continue on Sunday.

Another Myrish driver would find more luck on the Ventoran roads however---Hans Hansen would fly into a P2 position overall, his best result in a rally since 2022. "I'm over the moon, I couldn't have wished for any better result than this." Hansen stated afterwards.

P3 would be inevitably claimed by hometown hero Audmer Triemiouccuo---a resident of Saujil---who claims to have achieved the podium spot due to "hometown advantage". It's the Ventoran's second ever podium at the event, scoring his first podium at last year's event.

What a drive that was from Muuhre! After Rally Alero, a lot of people were saying that Muuhre is not focused or that he doesn’t care that much because he won last year. Alf proved them wrong. He stepped in and he won the rally by a fairly wide margin. That was PHENOMENAL.

BUHRE SETS THE PACE AT LATHADU SHAKEDOWN

LOCH CRAINE— Ludvig Buhre has settled well into the dusty Lathadun roads after taking the fastest time through both passes of Thursday's warm-up shakedown stage, a shortened version of Friday's SS3/SS6 stages.

His teammate, Phaengdrem Chungessher, finished fourth fastest, 3.6 seconds off pace from the front runner.

Senagnio Satuar, first on the road and therefore the road cleaner, was the first to complain about the conditions of the Lathadun roads.
"It's hard to drive fast when the gravel is so loose, no? There is no traction. It's hard sweeping in such conditions."
The Ventoran finished 1.6 seconds off of Buhre's pace, and was the second fastest through the 3.42 kilometer warm-up stage.

Aksel Huitfeldt is back in the car after taking a break during last month's Rally Ventora. While he stated he was comfortable in the car, he was still concerned over the conditions of Lathadu's stages.
“The risk of punctures is fairly high, so let’s see what we can make out of the weekend,” said Huitfeldt, who was four seconds off Buhre's pace. “Our approach is to have a decent run, try to manage our speed, protect the car and cross our fingers for [avoiding] the punctures.”

Huitfeldt's teammate Matara Kuzha was third fastest through the shakedown stage, 2.7 seconds away from Buhre's time. Kuzha is on a backstep after a series of unlucky events, which has resulted in the Trakian dropping from first place in the cup season to third.

Matara Kuzha is hoping for a good result out of Lathadu.​

The Veumvirks duo, Linde Prisobe and Alf Muuhre, finished in fifth and sixth fastest respectively; 2.2 seconds separating the two. They were followed by Oswin Reto and Eyewumi Omatsola, who finished in eighth and ninth.

Usually, two runs of shakedown are mandatory for QS runners but, due to the stage being interrupted twice by unsafe positions of fans on the roadside, Ailith Billing and Aksel Huitfeldt did not make a second run through the stage.

In the Q1 classification, Zrauzug Xôngrid Shung was the fastest out the blocks, finishing with a time faster than that of Oswin Reto and Eyewumi Omatsola despite driving a Q1 car. Notably, Zrauzug also opted to run a second lap of the shakedown stage, despite it not being necessary for Q1 drivers. Most opt not to drive through a second lap in order to save their tires for the event. It's a hopeful precedent for the Mudruvese driver who is part of Thechei's outreach program, driving a Hlaelab Q1.

While Muyȝisek Ledruyr will not be competing in this event, the Ochsardvian's cousin Iprach Ledruyr notably will be driving a Skogsmester Elektra EVO Q1 in the Q1 category. It's the first time Iprach has ever taken to the stages during a GRC event, let alone a Q1 classification vehicle. Iprach finished 12 seconds behind Zrauzug, making him 15th fastest through the shakedown stage.

LOCH CRAINE— A largely pedestrian day in the fields of northern Lathadu has ended with Aksel Huitfeldt heading the leaderboard, holding off a storming Ailith Billing in P2 by just 3.5 seconds.

The attrition seen during previous rallies like Ventora, Aleri, and Covales has yet to show up to the swift roads of Lathadu. Friday has seen little to no drama whatsoever, and the leaderboard is still packed with rally1 drivers.

That leaves the main focus on the battle for the lead. Currently, Ailith Billing is Huitfeldt's closest competitor. The Eduran has captured a precious yet precarious position on the leaderboard overnight. If he wants to catch the lead by tomorrow, he'll have to maintain utmost focus on the stages.
"Of course, the win is always the goal. So, we'll be pushing tomorrow and we'll see what happens. We'll be trying our best for sure."

Alf Muuhre maintains a solid grip on P3, +9.2 seconds behind Huitfeldt and +5.6 seconds behind Billing. Muuhre had briefly captured the lead from SS4, Eeymdhone 2, but a clumsy following stage saw the Myr lose his grasp on the top position.

The Namos star maintains P4 overnight.

Senagnio Satuar and Matara Kuzha hold P4 and P5 respectively as the battle for P4 rages on through the night; +15.0 and +19.1 seconds behind Huitfeldt respectively.
"The roads are very slippery [...] so, opening the road here on such a fast event is just going to be hard all of the time. Matara has a much better road position than me." Satuar told reporters.

Ludvig Buhre won two stages throughout Thursday, Cabbil Liehassyl 1 and Eeymdhone 2, but sits in P6 overall, +24.8 seconds behind the class leader. The Koranelan has blamed his standings so far in the rally as playing it safe and "waiting for these good positions to come to me, rather than me forcing it and ending up crashing somewhere."
Buhre is off the back of two disappointing events, where a mix of oversight and overconfidence has led to the Koranelan being set back far in the standings. Buhre will be trying to turn things around now and reconcile all the points he's missed out on.

The leaderboard remains exciting all around.

In the Q1 classification Zrauzug has established an iron lead over Philémon Leveque with a gap of -27.6 seconds. Meanwhile, Leveque holds P2 overnight with Naiá Cambuci in a gripping battle for the position, just +0.5 seconds behind Leveque going into Saturday's loop.

Today's drama in Q1 was highlighted with the spectacular offs of Geoffrey Gros and Edie Billing; both finding themselves crashing at the same corner in Cabbil Liehassyl 2---the very same corner that had caught out newcomer Iprach Ledruyr in the morning loop and caused the Ochsardvian a puncture. Gros and Edie's fate would end in disaster however, as both drivers would end up retiring after rolling down the roadside embankment into a field.
"You know, like, I knew that I was going to go off before I actually did---that corner is so tricky, and I was going too fast and forgot to anticipate the bend there tightening like it does. And then when I was going off, you know, I saw another car there. And I was worried because, like, I saw [Rocco] there (Gros' co-driver) but I didn't see Geoffrey. So I was worried maybe I had landed on him. But I didn't, so it's okay," Edie told reporters. It's the young 17-year-old's first big off of his rally career, and it is one to remember.

LOCH CRAINE—Aksel Huitfeldt has demonstrated a masterclass in competition this Saturday by extending his lead to nearly 23 seconds after Ailith Billing's crash in SS11.
"It's been an okay day today. Maybe not quite the lead we would have wanted by the end of day 3, but it's good enough to be fair. So now we just keep our head down and try to make it to the finish and score some good points."

It's been a difficult season for the Eduran, and this incident is certainly no help. Billing's crash came five kilometers into the Pashyiarn stage—a new 12.9 kilometer stage for 2024—and ended with the Eduran on his roof.

Billing was able to finish the day, though not without trouble.

The crash came during a deceptive turn, which Billing himself claims he was going "far too fast into".
"Well, we had gotten a puncture quite early on into the stage. But I didn't want to change it because I thought, well, maybe I could still get it to the finish and we wouldn't have to sacrifice any more time. But I should have changed it, because going into that turn—I was going far too fast into it—and the car wouldn't even turn, so it was pretty much a done deal by that point. I should have just changed the tire."

After Billing's roll, a group of fans pushed Billing back up onto his wheels, which allowed for the Eduran crew to limp to the finish line. Limited repairs on the road section following the stage allowed for Billing to continue on and finish the day—hemorrhaging time all the while. The Eduran would ultimately drop more than four minutes to the lead time, now finding himself in 10th place.

While Billing would remain in somewhat good spirits about his incident, Matara Kuzha was uproarious about his spin in SS10 which say the Trakian drop out of the podium fight down to 6th place.
"It's completely outrageous. Something is wrong in the car. We have to go, to go fix it."

In the Q1 classification, Zrauzug retains his unchallenged lead, strengthened now to a total of 1 minute and 40 seconds over P2.

While Philémon Leveque maintains his P2 position, hometown hero Dogan Deyne has moved up into P3, pushing Naiá Cambuci down into P4. Burkhard Cenric remains steadfast in P5, even despite a minor scare on the first stage of the morning where the Gasteiganian overshot a turn and nearly ended up in a lake.

A puncture in SS9 resulted in Hyrrpi Szulikavek dropping down the leaderboard; the Vojanak stopping to change the tire in the middle of the stage.

I mean, its been a fun rally to watch so far ... but Aksel Huitfeldt just dominates so much that it gets boring to watch. I sort of prefer watching the rallies where he isnt competing cus theres more competition for the lead ...

Aw man, I was really rooting for Billing .... Why does he keep making such mistakes like he isnt a 2x world champion?

Honestly disappointing... He needs to get his head in the game because god knows Omatsola isnt scoring any good points any time soon.

@Mystyk_Wolf yeah okay, but also like everyone else had punctures and shit that rally. He just coasted to the end going slow af and it ended in a podium. Also look at the standings now, where is he situated, please tell me. Oh, right, P8.

Ayek, Gros did better in his debut season than Omatsola is going now, just based off pure pace. Only thing Omatsola has on Gros is that Omatsola can somewhat keep it on the road most of the time. But maybe thats cus he's going slower than a steamroller on first gear most of the time.

HUITFELDT TAKES VICTORY AT LATHADU; SATUAR SNATCHES P2 DURING POWERSTAGE
SENAGNIO SATUAR HAS STRENGTHENED HIS LEAD TO 25 POINTS

LOCH CRAINE—Aksel Huitfeldt wiped the field on the final day of Lathadu by establishing a pace of meteoric ability, pushing himself to a lead of 54 seconds over P2. It was a flawless day and rally for Huitfeldt, and the Myr has once again reminded the rallying world why he holds the record for most cup titles in the history of the sport.

Senagnio Satuar had been chasing down Alf Muuhre for the entirety of the rally in hopes to strengthen his lead over the Myr in the cup standings. The Ventoran was running out of road however---it was down to the line; 2 seconds behind Muuhre going into the powerstage. The efforts would pay off, though. Senagnio Satuar rose into P2 with a lead of -0.6 seconds over Muuhre.
"I mean to be honest, I didn't expect that," Satuar snickered at the media zone after seeing Muuhre's stage time. "Pretty sh*t stage, actually, for me. Good job for him, though. Good fight all around."

"Ah. Okay. Well, it was down to the wire. Well done to Senagnio!" Muuhre spoke at the time control interview, out of breath. "I pushed quite hard actually. Actually I am quite surprised to see these times on the board. Wow, quite sh*t!"
This puts Senagnio Satuar in the lead of the cup season with a gap of 25 points with just three more rallies to go.

Rumors were put to truth when Huitfeldt revealed that he had received team orders to allow Matara Kuzha to win the powerstage.
"Well, we just wanted to have Matara win the powerstage, to get those extra points, right? So that he can strengthen his cup hopes and for the team and everything. Actually it's funny that it turned out with Matara winning and me getting second place. That wasn't intended but it's good for the manufacturer points, so not bad by me!"

Matara Kuzha won the powerstage by 6.8 seconds.​

Phaengdrem's battle for P3 which erupted in the midst of Sunday's stages would ultimately see Phaengdrem having to settle for P4. This makes for Phaengdrem's third P4 placement this season, which means Phaengdrem's search for a podium placement must be pushed back to Edury next month.

Ludvig Buhre had one goal going into Sunday, that was to push and make up for lost ground. He would succeed in this, winning one stage and leaping into P5 to round out this year's Lathadu's top 5.
"It's been a good rally. We just need to keep pushing now," was all Buhre had to say at the final time stop interview.

That leaves us with the final leaderboard times for 2024 Fainey Rally Lathadu.

Q1 CLASSIFICATION

Zrauzug pushed hard throughout the whole weekend.

Thechei's own Zrauzug Xôngrid Shung provided a masterclass in gravel driving throughout the weekend, finding himself in a position far beyond any of his competition. The Mudruvese was in a division of his own, winning all but 4 stages across all four days of Rally Lathadu.
"Thank you to my car, and my team. Very fun weekend for me."

Naiá Cambuci would not have the same luck throughout Sunday, crashing out of the podium fight on SS16; the penultimate stage. The Ta'arohan had carried too much speed into the final turn of the stage and collided with a tree, taking off the Skogsmester Elektra EVO Q1's rear right wheel and rendering the vehicle undriveable.
"Well… It's all here to see. I guess maybe I was pushing too much." Cambuci revealed to Motocentral. Cambuci would be forced to retire from the rally.

That meant Burkhard Cenric was elevated to a P4 position---a huge boon to the young Gasteiganian's season thus far.

2024 Enqusqo Grand Prix - Circuit of the Sun​

Practice and Qualifying
Liètzi Finala returns to it's most lavish destination in Txalenqu, Enqusqo, where the infamous Circuit of the Sun runs throughout the 5-star hotel, resort and casino which gives the city its fame.

After the driver's summer break, many were ecstatic to make their grand return to the city of lights, where the glimmering Circuit of the Sun and its luxury resort act as private boarding for the drivers over the course of their weekend of racing. Many drivers, including Pole Inner-Circle Kofoed, Inazu, and Nyag were seen utilizing the built in casino attached to the resort, it being one of the largest in all of Vidina.

When racing weekend began, Seetish driver Aimeric Enguerrand performed exceedingly well in the first practice session, taking a well deserved second place just barely behind his self made rival, Vernon Kofoed, and an entire 3 seconds ahead of his tailwind, Shandi-Kyitsaeg Nyag, leading to a whirlwind of emotions when in the second practice of the weekend Enguerrand collided with Renesian driver Egon Kraus and proceeded to spin out of the track, a fire consuming the base of his vehicle in the open air facility.

While Enguerrand was pulled from the wreckage with little more than a minor concussion, his car's chassis was unsalvageable, melded together with what little remained of his supports and wheels. While Fisstwark prepared a new chassis to be installed for Enguerrand's race on Sunday afternoon and Enguerrand was put on temporary racing ban due to his concussion, team principal and manager Ingo Meinrad would substitute Enguerrand's position for one of the team's premier test drivers, Bornavian Liètzi Correire driver Kir Novikov. A Kolitsian native, Novikov has been racing for Liètzi Correire since the age of 16 while being a test and stand-in driver for Gathenizi team Fisstwark in his off season. Now at the age of 19, Novikov has his first opportunity to race in his first official Liètzi Finala race weekend.

In practice number 3, Novikov scored himself notoriety as he proceeded to take 5th and 7th place in terms of timed laps, seconds above more experienced drivers who still managed to fall short of Novikov's impressive record. Kofoed's grip over the practices would begin to slip as prime competitors came in from behind to take his best time for the practice sessions, only taking 3rd place during both the session on Thursday and Friday. Victors and victoresses of Mt. Finnis Egon Kraus and Hen Hubviur Tudo took astounding jabs at Kofoed by switching between 1st and 2nd place throughout the span of the weekend, many noting their relationship as rivals beginning to become more and more aggressive as each once continuously rakes in points for their respective teams.

Behind Kofoed during the third practice session for what seems to be the first time in his career, Gathenizi royal Odetheus Winguric attained a favorable 4th place during the third practice session, many in the crowd astounded as to the final session of the week's outcome. Winguric, a less than well performing race who seems to be on the rise since Mt. Finnis was nothing short of elated in a pre-practice interview, though his cold expressions wouldn't show it.
"My team has been doing everything they can to see us (Tjathiawakis) both win. Now it is only an up hill battle, and my home playing field is at the very end." said Odetheus in a team interview following the success of his third practice session.

Once qualifying began on Saturday, all of Txalenqu became supercharged with excitement as drivers could now return to the official track after it had been cleared and all damages to the interior repaired. While Enguerrand was still not cleared by the FIALF's medical examination team, Novikov would pledge to earn his mentor a favorable spot on the starting grid when he would return on Sunday.
Within the first minutes of qualification, Tudo and Kraus began their ornate battle for first position as the two's start led to a fierce competiton. The ensuing dogfight where Tudo would not allow Kraus to pass allowed Kofoed, Inazu, Nyag, and Novikov to pass in front of the two, launching them both half way down the point-scoring positions. Among the four, Novikov would earn the furthest position from the front, landing himself in 4th, before eventually loosing it to Tudo's aggressive style of driving, pinning Novikov to the wall before whipping around his side and taking over before he can even react.
"Hen has reached 3rd Kir; be weary of her." voiced Novikov's race manager as Tudo began surpassing Inazu.

Before long, Novikov would be behind Kraus, Smith, and Winguric, earning him and his counterpart the 8th spot on the starting grid come Sunday morning.
"It really sucks that I couldn't get Aimi (Aimeric) a better spot. Now he has to worry about a concussion and getting overtaken by drivers without points." retorted Novikov in a pre-qualification interview.

Grand Prix
The stage is set for the 2024 Enqusqo Grand Prix. Cars line the track as their warm up for their preliminary lap, allowing heat to flow through their wheels as they assess the trial at hand. Aimeric Enguerrand who will be starting from 8th on the gird was only cleared to race a mere 5 hours beforehand, and is reportedly still battling a minor headache. The only other Chor on the grid, Odetheus Winguric will be starting just ahead of Enguerrand in 7th for the first time in his career. When the red lights flash green and the race has gone underway, all 20 racers speed off from their starting position to hopefully catch a glimpse of the front of the pact.

Kofoed who ascended further up than his already favorable position would quickly be shot down by the influx of cars surrounding him, forcing him to slow to a snails pace in terms of Liètzi Finala racing or be sent into a nearby wall. Many including both Enguerrand and Winguric would overtake a dazed and confused Kofoed, among which being his own teammate Maawel Yahye, a generally average scoring racer. Many watched from the Duquen booth in suspense as the two fought to keep a lead in the points, even after accepting their fate by lap 22, where Kofoed would box, leaving Yahye to keep Duquen's spot prepared for the both of them.

On the higher end of the grid, both Enguerrand and Winguric would viciously battle over the superior position, causing many drivers in 3rd and 4th like Akina and Lynenym to back down out of fear of loosing a position to an even more violent force. Eventually, race leader, Menakya Inazu would become a victim of the two's constant combat for first place, nearly sending both Enguerrand and Inazu into the wall of the track, though both were able to stop themselves from swerving and recover to their original positions.

As the heat of the battle shifted from Winguric to Inazu, his newest opponent Enguerrand would not so easily let go of his 1st place position, the two ensuring the other did not pass them without the worry that they would loose focus and allow the other to overtake them. Eventually, in the last lap of the race, with Winguric seconds behind the two, comfortably in 3rd, sparks would fly as the two's vehicles nestled near each other before a millisecond's difference would spell Aimeric Enguerrand as the victor of the 2024 Enqusqo Grand Prix, Menakya Inazu its second place holder, and for the first time in the 2024 season, Odetheus Winguric, in his comfortable position of 3rd.

Usual record setters such as Kofoed, Nyag, and Kraus struggled to keep their points in today, out of the three, only Kofoed scoring a measly 2 points from 9th place, his record low so far this season.
"An embarrassment is what today was. Though there is much more we can learn from this, as long as Mannerchor and the constructor's is ours, I don't mind loosing at such a scenic track." claims Kofoed in a pre-race interview.

While the drivers stay at Txalenqu will extend throughout this next week, their next destination is some place all too familiar. The Gathenizi Grand Prix threatens to be a challenge for those not familiar with its track layout, while also being the halfway point of the 2024 season. Performances will be up for review, and those who do not make a name for themselves in Stainsberg will have to answer to many like Novikov who present higher earnings for their teams next season.
