[Vampire: The Requiem] Lords of Night

Yeah, every player must be from a different clan. If you wanna go Nosferatu, Seph, I suppose I could go Ventrue, but I really did wanna play Daeva.

Yeah- I know you did... Gahh.. I just figure Ventrue is second best for your Char concept, is why I'm colunteering to take one of the others.. Mekhet might actually be better than Nosferatu... not sure.... If only we didn't have to be different clans.

Hehehehe... Mekhet, or Nosferatu- if I go Nosferatu..? The curse is totally going to be mobile, creepy as hell, shadow antics...

And you'll have a weird Ventrue lover that loves you despite being a hideous abomination. Or perhaps because of it. "My love, you don't hide behind a mask like so many of our brethren. The monster that I know and love so deeply is on full display."

*Slobbery kissing*

Yeah the Nosferatu are pretty interesting - and they're not ugly, just terrifying as balls or something like that. Would almost make Nightmare my 4th clan discipline...

D'aww. xD

Either that, or Gangrel- but I think Dark was planning on taking the Gangrel position... so Nosferatu crazy time.

And I might actually give him a decent Appearance.... just.. he'll be /fucking creepy as hell/.

I want to ask if Obtenebration (The Lasombra Discipline) can be retooled for this game? I'd prefer it to Nightmare for my point investment, or as my fourth clan discipline.

Now that I am able to post again, time to answer questions that have come up in the thread:

All of the Covenants other than the Carthians are old enough for you to have interacted with in the past. While you cannot take any social merits tied to them, you can start off knowing their secrets. If you take any Covenant-related powers/merits, you will be considered a former member, although naturally very few modern Vampires would know of your involvement.

Impassioned Killing (normally a Humanity 3 sin) is fair game for a Bane, although bear in mind that every such bane inflicts a penalty on future rolls to avoid Humanity loss. You wouldn't lose Humanity from Impassioned Killing, but it would be easier to lose humanity from other offenses.

You do know each other. You were a Coterie back in Rome, likely even before you became known as Lords of Night. While you have never gotten all of you together since, you have still met during your brief periods of activity.

I am willing to update Obtenebration from it's V:tR form as a bloodline power. In Requiem, it's the power of the Kahibit, who are a Mekhet bloodline. As such, you should probably be a Mekhet, although I will not make that an actual requirement. You are old and strange, after all.

I'd really rather not deal with Malkavians. Millenia old vampires are crazy enough without adding them in.

Current Roster appears to be:

@DreamingGod as a Salubri (he updated a Masquerade clan to fit Requiem and we're working on making it mechanically sound)

@ The Dark Wizard The Dark Wizard as a Gangrel

@Unbridled Originality as a Ventrue

@SephirothSage as Mekhet?

@Paeniteo Azrael as Daeva

Nosferatu, actualy, was the Plan- I can do Mekhet, though... I'll look at the Mekhet again before deciding.

And I wanted to have the Ordo Dracul secrets- I'm old enough to have /met/ the bastard, I think I could have decided I liked him enough to Emulate.

Alrighty, I'll just be a non-malkavian weird-ass Ventrue. On a scale of one to ten, how bad would having committed diablerie in my backstory, back in Rome, have been? I'm willing to RP all the consequences thereof, but if you'd rather not deal with it, I can get her sire out of the way somehow else.

I'm probably gonna take the circle of the crone status merit, then, which as I understand it will reflect previous standing, not current standing? Or could I just take Cruac without the merit and say that I was a member of the circle when I was awake last?

We could have /just/ killed him, without drinking him. I mean, you don't have to Drink a bastard to kill a bastard..

Well, you guys DID start as normal vampires. Lords of Night aren't a different species, you're just really old and really strong. I think two thousand years is enough to get over diablerie, or at least make sure that nobody (semi)alive remembers you doing it, other than the strange skull you keep within your coffin that whispers darkness into your ear, reminding you of every sin you commit

Wedsnday being my only free day. Free because Ars Magicka is no longer happening that day- a slot I /think/ we alll share from having been in that game..?
