Realistic or Modern Valsena Chronicles

  • The use of fire was taking it's toll on Aida. She hadn't stopped using her power since the battle in which she had ended up wounded, just before the mega Creep. The burns on her arms were also alight with new pain. Her parries were getting weaker, and she couldn't hold the fire up any more. Especially if she were going to help Dante with his plan. With the fire fading from her wrist and the sword, Aida took the sword in both hands and pushed on. Fortunately, she had Josh by her side now, which filled her with slight relief.

"Thanks Josh." She flashed him a quick smile, before parrying another blow from the bulky man and kicking away one of his friends. Aida then looked towards Dante. "Dante, any time now would be useful!" It was taking all of her strength to keep pushing on. She was struck a couple of time with the knife on her forearms, but she pushed on through the pain. After this, I better get a chance to heal up properly.

Ling's hands continued to glow, while Dante's wounds were closing. It took a while, but the wounds were at most 70% healed. They would still hurt, but Dante would be able to join the fight! "We can't wait any further!" She said. "They need you. Keep one in mind!" the scales disappeared and she was back to normal human!

Ragna used the scythe to pole-vault over the incoming group, drawing his guns midair. "Boom!" he yelled, firing at the hooded vampires, throwing a couple of headshots in. "Headshot!" This is when things became serious for him. One sneaked up behind him and tried to force him down, preventing him from shooting. "Get... OFF!" he yelled, but was quickly jumped by a second, then third, and then 4th. Somebody realized that he was the only ranged unit in the group and disabling him was a priority. "Fucking... I'm uncultured!" He densed up, but they kept jumping him, as if they were coming off a conveyor belt.

"Where are those guys coming from?" Ling was already fighting with the cudgel. Her moves were flashy and effective, but using them, along with sustaining the magic proved too tiresome for her, and she started gasping for air. "Ragna!" She yelled, with the last thing she saw was Ragna's hand reaching up, from between several hooded men, who were pushing him for the ground. It was hard for them to pierce his tough leather coat, while reaching for his jugular, but the fact that they overpowered him was enough. He was currently out of the fight, with his Scythe-sword stuck away from him and with not enough room to aim his guns. Ling was at the end of her stamina, but at least she had Dante up on his feet. "One... last... push!" she said, throwing a couple of Kanji in the air. "Mei... hou... wang..." She couldn't finish the spell...

Well, guess its a go Dante thought as Josh agreed to what he'll do. He felt as his wounds began to sting less as they closed but there was still pain. It was minor but it was still present. As the snake-like woman shifted back to human form and told him to get up and fight, he arose to his feet. Taking a moment to regain his energy, he looked among the fights his allies were in. Time to end this he thought as he readied himself. Switching to his humanoid fragon form, he shouted out to every one of his allies. "GET DOWN!". Once everyone was down he would breathe fire above them so they would have a less chance of catching. The enemies on the other hand won't be so lucky. Dante will show no mercy.

  • Josh glanced at Ragna's situation before having to parry a strike aimed at his throat. He really hoped that he didn't make a mistake in allowing Dante to execute his plan. Sparks was in bad shape and Ragna was getting overwhelmed. 'There has to be some trick as to how they keep getting reinforcements to quickly.' he thought. Whatever it was, he'd have to figure it out before they lose. His armor shimmered once more and settled after a few seconds. 'Have to keep this up! Come on!'

His opponent rushed him once more. Josh ducked under a knife slash and delivered a superkick in response. He saw Dante getting ready to transform again. Josh smacked his opponent with the flat of his war axe, effectively knocking him out. He bent over, hands on his knees, in exhaustion. Amidst the chaos and battling, Josh saw a lone Valian in a corner casting spells. The Valian appeared to be wearing different robes, white instead of black. In front of the white Valian, a figure appeared. It was a regular Valian grunt. 'A-Are they summoning more and more of them?' Josh turned to Dante, "Take out the white one!"

Jamie walked over to the girl who now had a troubled expression on her face. She looked extremely worried about something, but when Jamie looked around he couldn't see anybody. "They're all dead now hun, there's nothing to worry about. He studied her face carefully but her expression didn't seem to change. He tried to wave a hand in front of her face to catch her attention but she didn't react in any sort of way. "You blind or something?" Jamie looked at her confused. She didn't do anything during the battle, and as far as Jamie was concerned her only super power were some badass wings and scary white eyes.

Jamie, deciding nothing interesting was going on with this girl turned his attention back to Ezekiel. "So Elsa, why is it that these folk here," he pointed to the numerous scattered corpses around them "are trying to kill you? You some murderer? Or a rapist or some sick shit like that? Cuz if you've been rapin' then I'm sorry but this is where it ends for you, I'm not having none of that in this world no thank you." Jamie furrowed his brow in a concerned look, gazing at the ground behind Ezekiel before flicking his attention back to him, waiting for his response.

  • With one last exhausted push, Aida finally bested the brute. She felt just enough heat in her to make a stand against the white Valían. "I got him." She spoke quietly, summoning one last fireball and launching it at the Valian dressed in white. Making it swerve around the other Valians, Aida thought she had hit her mark. That was until her fireball just dissipated into nothing.

"He can do that? Dante whatever your gonna do, do it now!" Aida exclaimed, not worried about getting down. She knew what she was supposed to do in Dante's plan. She needed to be stood up to avoid burning her allies when she absorbed the fire.

After multiple requests to enact his "plan" and remembering more in depth of what Sparks could do, Dante began to scorch any Valian he saw. He knew how drained he would be after this, at least a good estimate. The screams of Valian's could be heard over the roar of the flames as he made an almost circular motion. He stopped in the direction of the white robed Valian and held his flames there to ensure his barrier was broken and he was burning. Dante stopped as he was completely out of energy. He returned to human as he went to the floor. He lied on his stomach as his weary eyes fell upon his allies. Dante needed to rest. Not just sit down for a moment, he needed to sleep. Or at least a shit ton of caffeine. Either way he was gonna be out for a bit.

The pile of Valians on top of Ragna was budging. At the moment Dante started burning them, the pile exploded, with pieces of Valians flying in every direction and Ragna seemingly in an enraged state, screaming! He grabbed one Valian, who seemed to be relatively intact, by the leg and started beating all the remaining ones with him. He literally was beating the sorry ass motherfuckers with another motherfucker. He was slamming the Valians like baseballs, using the one he grabbed as a bat.

Ling on the other hand having regained some of her stamina, tried to get up, using the nearby broken table as a support. Her legs were too weak to carry her, let alone defend herself. Fortunately Ragna was there. He discarded his weapon, having overexerted it, reaching in for his gun. Nobody sent vampires onto him and could expect to walk away without facing judgement. In this case, the white valian was already burned worse than a college kid after finals. Ragna walked over to the burning man and aimed his gun at his head. He pulled the trigger, but released it just before the weapon fired. He realized he was fighting a vampire, that's why he went over to the wooden table, and broke off its leg, making sure it was nice and sharp.

Ragna walked over to the burning valian and grabbed him by the remains of his robe, pinning him against the wall. The fire spread to Ragna's sleeve, but he didn't care. He was pissed and he wanted the man to suffer. He pinned him against the wall and slammed the sharpened wooden leg through the white Valian's chest, nailing him to the wall. "Death comes for all!" he growled at the valian, while walking away, putting away the flames on his sleeve. He densed up and grabbed Dante, throwing him on his shoulder, grabbing Ling, carrying them both like children. "Let's get out of here. This whole mess will draw too much attention!"

  • Josh just stared at Ragna as he walked out with Dante and Ling on his shoulders. He then glanced at the burning corpses around him. T-They survived an encounter with the Valians. They were bruised and battered before the Valians attacked but they won anyway. 'I'd like to see Ezekiel Forrester survive shit like that.' The sounds of sirens interrupted his thoughts. About time the authorities took action. 'Probably too scared to face the Valians.' He let his armor dissipate before jogging after Ragna. Things are getting hectic pretty quickly for them. 'It'd be best if we lay low for a while. No doubt the cops and the Valians are gonna come looking for us.'

"I have an idea!" Ragna said, heading towards the same shady part of town he met the old gunsmith.

It took them longer than expected to get there, mostly because they used the back alleys, in order to not draw unwanted attention.
"Greetings... Oh... you again? Come, come, yes, yes! Oh, you brought friends?" The old man spoke as he saw Ragna coming, carrying the two injured teammates, followed by the others... "Put them here!" He removed a couple of blankets from the bunk beds, allowing Ragna to place them. He giggled as he set both of them up as if they were sleeping together.
"This will throw them off when they wake up!" he laughed, looking at his deeds. He then turned to the old guy, nudging the sword. "This thing is better than expected!" he said. "It cuts through Valians like hot knife through butter."
"Valians you say... Yes, yes... wait for a bit!" He ran off somewhere and came back quickly after with a small crate. "I have something for you!" He gave the crate to Ragna. It was full with Ammo for his gun. "Pure Macedonian Silver Exploding tip bullets, made from the cross of the cathedral that burned down. Not a single Valian you shoot will ever get back up again!" The old man had sinister smile on his face.
"How much is this gonna cost me?" Ragna asked.
"Nothing. You already paid with that huge cannon. In fact I sold it for far more than I expected. Some blue skinned chick bought it!" he replied.
"Blue skinned chick?" Ragna raised an eyebrow. "Did she by chance be accompanied by 11 foot tall knight looking dude with a big-ass hammer?"
"Hmmm..." The man thought for a bit. "There was a huge guy in an armor, but I didn't see any hammers..." He replied.
"Congratulations. There are bounty hunters in this city. And not the kind that shoot criminals for money. They shoot everyone for money!" Ragna frowned. He seemed to know what he was talking about. Being a bounty hunter himself, he knew all sorts of scum, and those two in particular, he worked with a lot. In fact, they were his teammates long ago, but they tried to kill him, and that's how Ragna ended up with his powers... "This is not good. I wonder who are they after..."

"World war three huh..." Jamie scratched the unshaven stubble on his chin. "Alright, not Elsa and blind lady, come with me, I have a little 'safe house' you could call it, nearby with plenty of beds so you can rest and recover" Jamie walked around the corpses until he found his knife, protruding from the neck of one of the unfortunate attackers. Picking it up he cleaned it off and placed it in a sheath on his waist.

"But yea, wing blind lady, you fix up not Elsa's wounds and then we can head off to mine, I've got some more badass weapons and shit there too so if they attack it'll be more fun" He grinned. The concept of a World War 3 didn't disturb Jamie. It would mean more chaos for him to use. More odd jobs, assassinations, debt collection, all the dirty little jobs he did for a little bit of extra cash would increase, but the moral part of his brain urged him to help this strange man, as Jamie had a feeling if World War 3 would occur, it wouldn't just be between humans, but between us as well.

  • Josh sat on the bottom of some random bunk bed that he found. Apparently, Ragna has made friends with a local gunsmith. That's nice. Josh didn't inherently trust the gunsmith but Ragna did and he trusted him. Now, Josh simply rested and wrote down the events of the past day in his journal. He'd equipped no less than five armors and casted at least three spells in the past 24 hours. That took a toll on any mage, regardless of experience. Things have gotten rather interesting to say the least. They'd fought Creeps and Valians and somehow lived to survive. That was impressive. 'I also met some pretty strong people. We're not a well-oiled machine just yet but we're managing.' he thought.

The local authorities are probably looking for them. Maybe it's because they trashed a library in the middle of town? Maybe its because they beat the Valians and they wanted to reward them? Who knows? Josh knew one thing and that's the fact that a big name was nearby. That's why the Valians were here. He also overheard Ragna and the gunsmith talking about two bounty hunters in the area. 'Fuck it. Let them take their target. I just wanna get some rest already!'

(I just remembered Deviced's character, Virgo. What happened to her, again?)

Ragna figured he owed the guys some explanations. "Alright, story time!" Ragna said, looking at the sleeping beauty and the beast at the bed, thinking that they would need some catching up to do, but they needed their rest even more. Ragna then turned to Josh. "It was a couple of years ago..." He started explaining.

Diertrich Von Everhardt was the 11 foot tall man Ragna spoke of. He wasn't exactly that tall, since he was a man inside a high tech cutting edge armor, that basically turned the man into a tank. He used latest generation propulsion, allowing him to fly if he had to, and his shield generator was protecting him from everything energy based. His only weakness was physical attacks, but those were also ineffective, due to the strength of the armor he was wearing. As weapons, he employed plasma rifles, particle barrier, which he used as plow, and a seismic hammer, that could send shock waves flying through the air.
Mari, the woman, was a weapons specialist, who usually provided support from afar. She had a very keen eye and she never missed a target, which would mean that when they fight them, one should definitely go out of their way to look for her and thrash her, before she could fire. Fighting against Diertrich would mean they would have to move a lot and not allow Mari to get a shot. "Don't underestimate her, she may look like a regular hot piece of ass with blue skin, but she is deprived from any human emotion." Ragna said. "We would really need to avoid any confrontation with them for as long as we can. But if they come for us, we need to be prepared. We know that Dante and Ling would be useless against Diertrich with their energy based attacks, which leaves me and you to handle him. I sure hope you have an armor, that could take a beating and dish out just as much punishment as you can get. Valians were easy. They were just a lot. But here, we are facing an army of one, who is built like a tank. Good thing he is slow, but if he lands that hammer on you, we won't even be able to scrape your remains from the ground... Not to mention that they now have my Gau-8 Avenger Gatling gun."

(Nothing from Ezekiel for now. Just waiting on Huggies and Kaera)

Josh sat quietly on the bed while Ragna explained the two bounty hunters on the scene. 'An army of one and a blue skinned weapon specialist. GREAT!' he thought. "I sure hope you have an armor, that could take a beating and dish out just as much punishment as you can get." Ragna said. Josh quietly cycled through the list of armors that he had in his journal. There was the Archangel Armor that provided flight and a boost to his speed and defense but it might not handle a blow from Diertrich's hammer. He also had the Golem Armor but that left him slow and open for any shots from Mari. His other armors wouldn't be able to last much damage or receive it. 'Add that to the list of things that I need to buy; More Armor!'

Josh nodded after Ragna finished and thanked him for sharing the information. That pretty settles any debate of whether or not there's a high priced target nearby. A little reconnaissance was needed if they were to prepare for such an encounter. Josh searched his spellbook and found a suitable spell. "Mittite: Inspexit!" he shouted. His eyes turned white and a mirror appeared before him. In the mirror showed the town of Ecrin. It worked like a television but it only showed what was happening in real time. Josh could look at any area he wanted as long as it was within a five mile radius from him.

He found nothing but police and local warriors gathering around the city exits, hoping to find whoever trashed the library no doubt. There was no sign of the Valians, so that was a plus. He searched the outer forests that surrounded the town and found multiple dead bodies with burns all over their body, multiple stab wounds, and some even had icicles stuck in their throats. Eventually, he found something he'd never expect to find out here. Sitting down while a familiar looking girl bandaged a serious wound on his right hip, was none other than Ezekiel Forrester.

The old man also listened to what Ragna had to say. When he finished, the man scratched his beard. "Ah, yes, yes... This seems like a good team, that has everything covered. But I think there is something they are not expecting" The old man got up and went to his counter, looking for something. He seem to have found it. It was a small book on large caliber Ammo. He went through the first couple of pages, seemingly finding what he was looking for.
"Check this out!" he showed the page to Ragna.
"TAZER Bullet?" Ragna raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, yes. You know, the Tazer bullet can send electro-magnetic pulses into his armor, blocking him!" The old man said. He was planing on making such bullet for Ragna, in order for him to disable the robo-knight.

Ragna wasn't optimistic about the man's plan. "It's not going to work, old man. First of all, he has magnetic shielding. Any electrical pulse will only twitch him out of controls for less than half a second. And second, this here bullet is too big to fit in any of my guns, I would need at least a 12-guage shotgun to fire it!"
"You don't know who you talkin' to, boy! I am Vulcan, the best blacksmith on this world! I can forge anything, provided I have enough time and resources!" The old man had a spark up in his eyes. "Vice-versa, if I see an armor, I can find a flaw in it. I can even forge you the same armor he was wearing in only a week! It's gonna cost you a kidney though!" The old man slammed his fist on the table.
"Come to think of it..." Ragna rubbed his chin. "Do you think you can strike an opening in half a second?" He turned to Joshua with the question. If Ragna could disable the man for even half a second, that would give them some advantages. But there was one more variable, two actually. And both of them were sleeping, cuddled together. "We should develop the plan if we just so happen to run into those guys. They work like a well oiled machine, so we have to do the same. If we ran into them, I would probably provide long range support with the EMP bursts the old man will make. If you and Dante could occupy Robo-Knight, while dodging Mari's sniper fire, Ling will have enough time to scout her location and take her down. After that, he will fall easy I presume." Ragna turned to the old man. "Yo, can I have something to write?"
The old man handed Ragna a piece of paper and a pen. Ragna took them and drew a quick and rough sketch of the armor. "Alright, my experience shows that even heavy armors have weak spots. In this guy's case - the joints. I will aim my shots from afar into his body, since that's the best strategy. When the pulse hits, his shield will be down for less than a second, so you have to strike his weak spots here, here and here." Ragna circled the area under the armpit, the knees and the area, where legs met the torso. "The man may be a walking fortress, but every fortress has back doors!" Ragna said, crossing the areas. "Several well aimed strikes here could disable him, or at least restrict his movement even further, allowing us to go for a kill."

Josh focused quietly on the mirror in front of him. He tuned out Ragna and the gunsmith. 'He's here. That's why the Valians and the two bounty hunters are around.' he figured. This was perfect! He didn't have to travel hundreds of miles just to put him down! Josh's elation stopped after seeing the girl that Ezekiel was with. 'I-Isn't that Sparks' little friend?' he realized. What was she doing? Why was she helping him out? And who the hell was that other guy they were with?!

"Do you think you can strike an opening in half a second?"

Josh snapped out of his trance and the mirror dissipated. Ragna turned to him and asked him something. "H-Half a second? I don't think I've tried to hit someone that fast." he admitted. "We should develop the plan if we just so happen to run into those guys. They work like a well oiled machine, so we have to do the same." Ragna said. Josh merely nodded. This was a rather unique situation. You have two dangerous bounty hunters on the hunt for the same target as Josh and his team. 'Should we let them go at it? Take out whoever's left in the end?' he wondered, 'No. I need to be the one to take him out.' That was his mission. That was what he needed to achieve his end goal.

"Several well aimed strikes here could disable him, or at least restrict his movement even further, allowing us to go for a kill." Ragna decided. Josh turned to him and said, "How about taking down a man who can manipulate any liquid? Got anything for that?"

Before they set off to his house, Jamie had a slight feeling he was being watched. Usually he would ignore this feeling as it was probably nothing, but this time he decided to heighten his perception slightly. Nothing. Shrugging it off he was about to walk off when he stopped. This time he heightened his already low magic sense, seeing if maybe it was some invisible magical presence near them, watching them. He didn't want to take any second chances. And there it was. A few yards in front of him, a mirror like object. He couldn't see to the other side, he could just sense it was there. He crept up beside it where whoever was watching wouldn't be able to see him, and then when he was close enough he shot his head out right in front of it and yelled "Peekaboo!" He put on the most devilish and satanic grin he could manage and winked into the mirror. "Fuck off ya nosy pervert" he spat on the ground in front of the mirror and toned down his magical senses and perception, grabbing another energy bar to refuel.

Looking back at the other two, who looked very confused, he replied "just someone was watching us is all, so we won't be too safe, but it's ok, I love fighting, let them come to us." Jamie started walking through the forest, expecting Ezekiel to guide the blind girl and follow him. Jamie didn't know why he was helping, maybe he was just getting lonely, or soft. He shrugged it off, maybe he was just getting bored, and wanted some people to kill. That sounded like the better option so he went with that.

After a few hours of uneventful walking, which was extremely surprising to say the least they came across a large log cabin. Jamie walked up to the cabin and turned around to face the other two, spreading his arms out wide and grinning "Welcome to my humble abode. As you can see, looks like it's made of wood, but actually, it's just painted that way. It's actually made out of some of the strongest materials there are." He pulled out a knife and jabbed his finger, smearing the blood on the front door. There was a whirring sound as locks clicked open and the door swung inwards, revealing a furnished, surprisingly clean house with only a thin layer of dust over everything, a sign that he hadn't been here in a while. "Make yourselves at home! Plan, sleep, eat, do whatever you want"

Ragna glanced at Josh, then at the two sleepy heads. He felt like it's high time they wake up. There was strategy in the making. "Shall we wake them up?" He aimed the question at Josh, who was too busy to notice him. "I say we wake them up!" The old man said, trying to raise his voice. "Wake up, sleepy heads!" He gently spoke, making sure it was loud enough. "That's not the way you wake someone up. Watch this, I learn that from a movie!" He got up and walked over to the sleeping couple. "Hey, FUCKFACE!" He slapped Ling on the ass and Dante on the face. "Wake up, you cracker-face cracker! You expect to sleep through the whole day in ma crib and expect not to get stomped on? How you gonna act?" The whole time he was trying to sound like a ghetto black guy, with comical results.

The slap on the thigh was enough to wake Ling up, as she kicked in her jump-scare and landed her heel right in Ragna's face. "Yeah, I was thinking on throwing some floppers myself while you were sleeping, but I was generous enough to allow you to rest. Now wake up! We have work to do, bad guy to catch and bounty hunters to fight!" He quickly brought them up to speed, while Josh was looking in his mirror. "Aye yo, Josh... Can you use this mirror to scan the city for those two?"

Dante jolted awake as he had been slapped. He didn't see who, but from the voice he could ultimately assume it was Ragna. He rubbed his eyes as he observed where he was. It seemed to be a gun shop of sorts as he could see a few weapons and boxes of ammunition. He listened to what Ragna had to say and who their new enemy would be. Great. First swarms of Valians, now a behemoth with a sniper over his shoulder? he thought as he scratched his head. He rolled his neck and shoulders as he stood up from the bed. If anyone one was looking they'd be able to see his tattoo-like mark on his back. At this point he could call it a permanent tattoo as he's attempted to get it removed, but to no avail. Dante didn't doubt he would have to combat this giant mech, and he almost had an idea on how to do it. It would definitely require his full form. If they were gonna fight these guys then Dante's gonna need a lot of caffeine to keep him going. "Well then, this is gonna be fun. When are we expecting them?" he said, expecting an answer from anybody.

  • "Aye yo, Josh... Can you use this mirror to scan the city for those two?"

Josh was so caught up in his thoughts that he almost didn't hear him. He thought back to the scene that he saw before the mirror disappeared; His target was seriously hurt and had companions helping him. They seemed to be able to sense his presence. Josh looked over to Ragna, "No, the mirror spell needs to cool down for another hour or two and besides; I couldn't even find them anywhere in the city." he said, "But I have some kind of idea as to where they might be going. Their target is out in the woods and y'all won't like who he's with. Especially Sparks." Everyone looked at him, expecting to know who their target was. Josh sighed. "Story time..."

Their target was Ezekiel Forrester, a mercenary who'd gone rogue. He was supposed to be Josh's target, which also made him Ragna and Ling's target as well. He wore light armor and had a saber to defend himself if things went south. Not that he needed to use his sword anyway because most people don't even survive his powers. He can manipulate any liquid and adjust its temperature, allowing him to scald or freeze opponents. "He's had over a hundred confirmed kills and isn't to be taken lightly by anyone." he explained. "I don't expect much trouble fighting him hand-to-hand, he's hurt. Real bad. But that doesn't mean he'll go down without a fight. And..." he paused, feeling hesitant to continue. "...he's got Sparks' little friend, Melody."

Jamie sat down next to Ezekiel and thought. "No I didn't see anyone, I knew the viewing portal was there, but I couldn't see through it..." he scratched his chin thoughtfully. "But don't worry, if anyone comes near the cabin I have sensors up, we will be alerted. Tons of weapons are downstairs including a badass as fuck minigun." Jamie smiled at Ezekiel and proceeded to examine the wound. "Since you have some sort of liquid power, couldn't you just heat the blood around the wound to cauterize it shut? I know It would hurt like a bitch but it'll atleast stop it from bleeding and you should be able to move around..." Jamie ran into the next room pulling out a first aid kit. "Now I have no clue how the fuck to use This, but maybe cute little blind girl over there can help us out with her healer brain and we could fix this. You wanna be in prime fighting condition, although I could best them all alone where's the fun in that" he winked "we want you to be able to fight too, join in the fun" he laughed.

(Nothing for Josh for now.)

Ezekiel shook his head. He hadn't manipulated his own blood in a long time. He felt disgusted when he first did and immediately became sick for using too much blood. He decided that he would never do such a thing, even if it meant fixing his wounds faster. Instead, he would much rather act like a sissy and let his wounds fester. Because why not? The blind girl took the medical kit and proceeded to 'examine' its contents. 'Not sure how she'll do that when she's blind but, hey, I won't judge'

"We want you to be able to fight too, join in the fun" he laughed. Ezekiel didn't even want to think about another fight. He'd been in a lot of fights before today and he didn't enjoy any of them. Mostly, because he had to kill without a contract. He only killed if he was hired to do so. After all, killing is wrong, blah, blah, blah, moral nonsense. Instead of playing nice and getting to know his new 'friends', Ezekiel focused more on the situation at hand. He was hurt and in a cabin with two people that he didn't know or trust. He trusted them when the marauders came for him, sure, but now? Not so much. "First of all, stranger, I don't like killing. Second, I don't trust you. At all." he looked at the blind girl, "Even you, darling. I don't trust you with all those things." The girl seemingly frowned but Ezekiel ignored it. "This isn't some friendly get together where we have fun and tell spooky stories and talk about girls. We're here because I can't move properly and I need a place to rest."

As if some cruel deity decided to fuck with him, alarms began blaring from unseen speakers and red lights flashed. Someone from outside began to pound on the door, "Hey! We come in peace!" Ezekiel narrowed his eyes and looked around for anything he could use to fight. No liquid here other than his own blood and sweat! Looks like he'll make due with sweat... "We got over a dozen guys out here, all of them armed to the tooth! We don't want to hurt anyone!" the man outside yelled. "We just want Ezekiel Forrester and then we'll go!"

The same armed people kept banging on the door, yelling things like "Open up!" and "Wait, who the fuck..." and "WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL IS THIS???" Their yells were combined with heavy metal stomping, gunshots, more metal stomping, bone crushing chainsaw cutting through flesh and more gunshots, followed by a robotic voice. "Scanners are detecting no threats in the immediate vicinity." followed by a female voice: "Good. Now let's grab this guy and get out of here, before others show up!" Needless to say that the two bounty hunters that Ragna was worried about were outside, trying to claim the bounty before Ragna does.

Ragna himself was thinking about those two. Dante's question had no answer. "Whenever we do, it's gonna be too soon. We have no chance against them. None of us knows how to fight as a part of the team, and the recent events in the library further support that. It's either we learn to fight together, or we gonna die!" He paused. "I am sure you can go head to head with him, but he has a chainsaw that could cut through solid steel, I doubt dragon scales would even prove a challenge. Your fire will do no good too, since he has shields, and his armor is too thick for melee... Even if we find a way to hurt the armor, it will take time, and he has a sniper covering his back. So you move too much, you can't fight him, you pin him down - you get shot... We can't fight those guys without a plan, and trust me, we are gonna end up doing it"

Ling raised an arm. "I have an idea. What if we overwhelm him with numbers?"
"Not gonna work!" Ragna replied. "We need at least an army to do that. I will provide long range support with those EMP bullets. Then you have to get close to him to damage him, but you can't because he has particle barrier and shields, and did I mention the chainsaw? Or the multiple weapons? Or the sledgehammer? Oh, and he has a long range support from a trigger happy chick with more kills than you can count."

Jamie jumped where he heard the alarms and the slamming on the door. He grinned like a little school girl and clapped his hands together. "Ooo exciting, time for some fun." He quickly ran down to the basement and grabbed two pistols and two knives, sliding the pistols into holsters attached to his waist, and the knives beside them. Jamie then ran upstairs and opened the sliding door leading to a balcony. He ran out onto the balcony and shouted, "yoohoo, over here I'm uncultured". As soon as the attackers turned their heads Jamie front flipped down onto the ground below him. He pulled out the two knives and boosted himself completely. This would tire him out but he didn't want to lose this fight. With unnatural speed he leaped onto the closest attacker, stabbing him in the throat and twisting the blades around, blood squirting all over him. Jamie laughed as he kicked off the corpse and landed on the ground. He was now surrounded by 5 of so attackers, the rest were banging on his door, trying to smash it open. The door started to give in, and it looked like they were succeeding.

"Only five?" Jamie looked around at the men surrounding him. "At least make it hard for me" he winked at no one in particular and charged at one of the men, tackling them to the ground. As the others reacted, they charged at him, just in time to see Jamie pick up the unconscious man he just tackled and spin him over his head, knocking another attacker to the ground. The others quickly catching on and dropping to the ground. "You spin me right round baby right round" Jamie sang as he span the man around, flinging him off into the distance and impaling him on a tree branch when he noticed he was no longer hitting anyone with the body. "And then there were three." His heightened senses suddenly picked up the sound of a gun being cocked. He turned around just fast enough to see a pistol barrel aimed at is head. He jumped at the pistol, the bullet hitting him square in the chest, stopping him in his tracks. Jamie looked down at the pistol wound, then back up at the attacker, grinning madly. "You missed, wanna try again?" the rest of the attackers stood there dumbfounded. Scared, the man with the gun emptied the entire clip into Jamie's chest, but to no avail. The bullets went in, there was blood, but it didn't seem to even phase Jamie. "My turn," he yelled, snapping the rest of the attackers back into focus. They charged him, Jamie dropped to the ground and drew his pistols, spinning around and shooting them in the knees. The air was filled with screams and moans as men cradled their blown off kneecaps and as the forest floor was painted with blood. Jamie looked around and found a random attacker. He picked him up by the neck and turned to the house to bring him inside, when he realized the door had been blown open. "Fuck..." He cursed as he ran inside to see what was happening.

  • Aida had followed Ragna back to the gunsmith's, taking a moment or too longer to leave due to the amount of fire she had to subdue. Like before, she had drawn it all into herself through a larger ball of fire. This gave her back some energy, but didn't do anything for the wounds she had gotten from the fight with the rather large, skilled Valian. Fortunately, her sword was in tact. She had listened as they planned, and had nodded confirmation at being able to strike one of the large guy's weak points in half a second. With her sword, Aida knew she needn't worry about using fire. That wouldn't exactly have done much to a guy with so much armour anyway... Unless she could somehow heat her fire enough to melt it.

"How's the chick's armour?" Aida finally interjected, having thought long and hard. If she couldn't use her fire on the big guy, then what about the girl he spoke of. She figured she had a shot of somehow disabling her, and also realised Ragna had forgotten about her. She still existed, but it's almost as though she didn't. Aida was quick on her feet, and decided she might be able to slip behind Mari and attempt to take her out of the fight. That woman may be a weapons expert, but Aida doubted she'd know what to do against someone who literally commanded fire.
