Fantasy Valendor Kingdom |Strict RP|

Aten stepped another step back when the door behind the prince closed and the male stepped forward. He blinked, pursing his lips as he didn't exactly find the teasing stab at his height. "I would.. if my favourite spot was in the palace or on palace grounds..." He said more to himself, following after the prince and catching up to him at some point. "The only royal I call by first name is the princess of this kingdom, sir.. so I did not confuse your name for a title" He said, his speech rather tight and a bit wavery, like he was experiencing moments of weakness.

"Would it be alright if we make a stop in the kitchen? I.. ah.. have to... 'freshen up'..." He said, his eyes wandering around as he searched for words over the annoying and irritating voice of the demon screaming in his ear. He subconscious put a hand over his heart as his breath caught in his throat for a moment. 'Stupid creature.. stop stabbing at me' He hissed at the demon in his head, closing his eyes as he was already on autopilot towards the kitchen, his legs and body wobbling for a moment as he took to recover from the pain in his heart. The only reply he got to his own mental words were loud laughter and growling in his ear. @WhosJack

Not 5 minutes had passed and he could already see Corvana's muscles re-clenching with the mounting stress. Countless amount of years being together and Dylix could see that her bad habits haven't changed at all. It was true that his wife was not one for patience and preferred to let her emotions be unrestrained. A fiery passion that had drawn him in from the first moment they had met. Although in times like these, for a women with as much bravado and boundless self-assurance as she had, she still tended to second guess herself. He himself however believed in her capabilities and expressed it with a silent caress of her cheek. Cupping her chin between his forefinger and thumb, Dylix maneuvered her gaze upwards until both pairs of bright red irises locked onto one another. One filled with trepidation and the other wholly expectant. Yes, he believed whole heartedly that Corvana would be able to last without a calming potion but there was no reason he couldn't a offer a bit of help to maker her realize this.

"Would you rather have my assistance?"

He was of course referring to his ability of bitten servitude. Just one bite and he could awash her in a serene state for the entire evening before relinquishing his control. It wasn't as if it would be the first time they had done something like this, particularly on the nights she had wanted a 'change of pace'. @verifiedkat

After wandering the halls a bit, Pierrot went to the dining room too check on some of the staff. He was a bit shocked to see the King and Princess Shi in the dining room this early. "Greetings! You both look absolutely wonderful today!"

Immediately going into his jester mindset, it would appear that Pierrot slid on his feet to move closer and greet the two early members. "How do you do! Pierrot at your service! Any tricks you would like to see in the meantime? Or perhaps riddles or stories? Anything you may feel for, I can provide!"

Upon closer inspection, there is that small gash from falling earlier, though Shi would not know of it. Turning to Shi, he would take out a small necklace incense burner full of Sandalwood, the "Sacred Wood." Clipping it around her neck, it smells of pine and ash.

"This was quite expensive, but it was worth it. Being around this has made me see much more in life, as though I could see through when people don't want to tell me when they're actually upset. I feel my eyes become very sharp, and my hearing became quite sensitive as well. It's a bit frustrating to see that people lie to me, so I try to make them very happy! It does smell of the forests, so I can use another incense if you would like. What do you say, do you enjoy the gift your highness?"

As the Mad Jester popped from wall to wall, occasionally spooking a servant or guard by popping out from around a corner, he started to think. If these guards were so easily startled, why did they have to sneak in. He could've easily killed quite a few guards by slipping his hooked daggers in-between the helm and chest piece. That's only for the ones who had full suits. He could easily reach the necks of the ones who had an open face helm. None even bothered stopping him. Seriously. When a giggling mad man was popping out from corners and scaring folk, you'd at least order him to stop, or toss him in the dungeon. He technically wasn't a part of this kingdom though and traveled with the Hylandian rulers, so was he above the guards? A Royal Fool, truly.

As he dashed and spooked, he grew hungry. Even giggling psychopaths willing to make you smile, be it naturally or carved into your face, get hungry. So after spooking guard number fifty three, yes he counted, he asked for the dining room. Why not the kitchen? Because he wasn't a royal nor a servant. He couldn't go around demanding food. He had to eat amongst others. Which means removing his mask...no wait, he could just sneak away the food. But hey, he could introduce his own entertainment to these happy folk.

So off the Jester went, giggling softly before opening the door. What he found was amusing to say the least. Another Jester. Another man of the art of comedy. How quaint. Note to self: Double Performance. Oh, and the Princess and King of this kingdom were here. That's cool too. Not as cool as a second Jester. Thankfully they weren't in the same outfit, otherwise one of them must change. Since this was a religious outfit for him, it'd be that other Jester.

She'd blink and nod slowly, taking the pendant in one hand and inspecting it. "it's lovely, thank you. Perhaps a nice story before bed would be nice so, please come to my chambers later, jester." She spoke softly, a kind smile on her face.

Nodding and regaining insights due to the incense, he bows. "My pleasure. See you then, your highness." He bows once more before preparing to leave, laughing at the thought of clandestine encounters with the princess, as well as the general amusement of being with the princess in the first place, when he bumps into someone else. Falling over on his side, he looks up to see a person with a bone mask on his head, and swiftly gets up and bows. "Ah, greetings, Pierrot at your service. I assume you are the other nation's jester?"

Brushing himself off, he reaches over next to his ear and conjured a biscuit from the far east, were there was a piece of parchment that told of the future (aka, fortune cookie.) "Would you like a cookie? Do mind to read your fortune aloud. We all want to know."

Someone has bumped into this crazy cook of a Jester. He looked down, blue eyes barely visible in the sunken in eye sockets of his skull mask. "Ah yes, hehe. Indeed I am. Loex Ibetink, at your service." He giggled and bowed, two points of the Jester's cap flopping as he did. "So great to see, hehe, younger folk trying to bring joy to others." He snickered, shaking his head.

Ooo, a cookie. The giggling mad man nodded, gently taking the cookie in his gloved hand. "Why yes, I would like a, hehe, cookie." He cracked it down the middle, and cracked it again before slipping a thin portion of cookie through some line amongst the teeth of his mask. Oh gods, cookie had a paper in it. He unfurled it and chuckled. "Common sense is not common. Very, hehe, rich coming from a royal fool."

It was easy to keep stride with the younger man's sudden switch in direction. Hadrian didn't bother to voice a verbal answer at first instead choosing to watch as Aten visibly struggled with his 'inner demons'. It would seem that the two opposing entities were causing his physical countenance to weaken judging by his increasingly unsteady gait. While the concept was interesting it wasn't in his best interests for it to continue, preferring to keep his pawns attentive when he himself is present. So when Aten had taken a moment to regain his unstable posture Hadrian placed a hand lightly on his shoulder, applying enough pressure to help steady his shaking frame. Slowly tendrils of transparent black miasma bloomed from his body, blocked from general view as he pressed closer to the others back.

He knew that this type of attempt was far too soon, risky even but Hadrian needed the demonic entity subdued. At least until he's gotten what he's wanted from the angel. Through the physical connection he had a much better grasp on it's noncorporal form and instantly felt it's presence. Immediately he could sense it's need for violence, destruction, and more importantly to control the body it's been unwillingly trapped in. Without much resistance Hadrian eased the miasma into Aten's body, blanketing the demon's essence with his own which should in theory render it unconsciousness for a set period of time. No doubt when it did awaken the shock would be enough to render the boy unconscious but otherwise unharmed. As he felt the entity ease into a numbing slumber Hadrian slowly let the tendrils dissipate. Almost immediately the area grew lighter and the temperature regained it's natural warmth.

The moment having passed Hadrian retracted his grasp from Aten's shoulder and straightened into a neutral posture.

"The moment you experience another set of tremors or feel remotely ill you must tell me, is that clear?" His tone was no doubt one of worry but there was an edge of hardness to it, leaving no room for arguments. @Past Paradise Tears

Aten was so hyper aware of what was happening, all his senses screaming at him to get away, even the demon itself hissed it at him before it was just.. silent, not even the usual stirs it made him feel. Despite the demon being a dark creature that had insatiable bloodlust and craved destruction, possibly even control over Aten's body, it became as much a part of him as his good conscience was.

He looked at Hadrian over his shoulder, frowning a little. "What did you do?" He asked, it was obvious that as much as Aten disliked the demon residing inside his body, the two became dependant on each other, as without that demonic presence, Aten would just be a blind guy with no opinion with a misplaced and stubborn sense of belief and justice. The demon gave him mental balance between good and bad as without it he had no bad conscience and he knew exactly what and when the demon wanted or something like that. After all, being joined for 17 years would make even enemies like that form some sort of bond and connection. And Aten definitely wouldn't drop this, to hell with status.

"Done something?" The incredulity in his voice was convincing, most likely because it wasn't far from the truth. Could the angel have seen what he had done? Surely Hadrian had been careful enough but a nagging thought wondered if he had underestimated the affinity between Aten and the demon itself. At this point could it have left enough of a lasting impression inside him that he would be unsettled by the silence? Whatever the reason he had to quickly regain control over the situation. "You look a little pale...are you sure you're feeling alright?" @Past Paradise Tears

Aten spun around to face him and took a few steps back. "Yes, you did something. What did you do to it?" He asked, Aten was growing agitated and anxious. On top of needing water quickly, he couldn't feel he demon at all. This never happened, not even when the demon sulked and masked its presence from Aten. The long-haired male had started shivering, his own thoughts beating and stabbing at his ears, he wasn't used to hearing himself since the demon caused his mental voice to get drowned out by the demon's whispers and laughter. It was also the fact he couldn't reach the demon, there had been instances where Aten had proper conversations with the nightmare residing inside him.

William didn't miss the shift in energies when Aten's demon-side was being silenced and he was already thinking through several different ways of handling the situation, but all of those went out the window when Aten started becoming physically distressed. Well, there goes all his game plans, and now he's left with only one course of action. He hadn't planned on revealing himself this soon, but with the way things were going there was no way he could standby and keep silent any longer. One custom gating spell and a foot step later and William was stepping out of the air between Aten and Hadrian, the gating spell disabling the invisibility spell as it was stepped through so that it looked like William had simply moved into physical existence out of Aten. His expression was calm enough and he had his hands in his pockets in a matter that suggested he was perfectly at ease, but the entirety of his eyes being pitch black in color told an entirely different story.

Intro) walking to the main gate, Alex would look to Pudding, he tilts his head back to Alex. Walking to one of the people manning the gate telling the that they had business inside but didn't know where they are to be meeting, showing the man at the gate the paperwork to prove that they have a meeting. As the man looked over the paperwork and couriered it to get it verified, Alex would go up to Pudding giving him a hug, nearly being swallowed in the fluff and feathers that covered him, "keep your eyes open for anything." she whispered into Pudding's ear, pulling herself off Pudding Alex would neaten her cloths awaiting to be lead to the meeting.

The King would look at her Daughter and raise a eyebrow as she played with her dainty hands, "Is everything alright, Princess?" He'd used her nickname with a concerned tone. Shi would look up to her father and her hands went still. "I uhm, Yes Father. Just nervous, I'm not one for being very social at first remember?" The King would merely nod as a maid came and poured red wine into his finest silver goblet then a light white wine spritzer in her own as she politely gave thanks.

Corvana's fingers unconsciously traveled to the spot where she has been bitten before, understanding the implications behind his words. Right at the junction between her shoulder and neck. "I..." She looked up into his eyes, searching answers. He seemed calm about the whole situation and his eyes were so full of hope and expectation. He believed she could do this, so she could handle this. "I can do this." She whispered with a half sigh and closed her eyes before placing her hand on top of his.

Exhaling to focus her magic and nerves, she then turned and started toward the door. "It sounds like it's dinner time." Outside, she could hear people chattering and pots clanging. Her hand reached for the doorknob before reeling back as if she was struck. "I almost forgot." With another flick of the wrist, her dress transformed back into the disgustingly blue costume. She then walked out the door, chin raised and composed.

Corvana pulls out a chair at the opposite end of the dinner table and sits down in it. Only the princess and the king are here, but there are bustling servants here and there as well. "How are your evenings going?"

@Lizzy Xio @NicotinePuffs

The princess would get up from her plush blue and silver carved chair and bow towards the Queen in respect. "Very well Ma'am. I do hope your travels here were pleasant." She spoke softly. The king would watch the two before replying. "Not bad for a lovely crisp summer evening. Do take a seat, dinner will be served in a bit."

Once one of the guards came back to tell Alex that her meeting wouldn't be occurring at that moment due to the King having dinner, which to Alex was annoying since the meeting was for around this time, reluctantly, she asked "well would I be able to at least wait inside for the meeting?", Pudding now sitting up properly, now looking slightly down at the guard. "Does the king at least know that I am here or have you yet to tell him?"

A small, barely visible smile raised the corners of Dylix lips as he watched his wife trace the crescent shape of his bite mark. Several more like it could be seen starting at her jugular and proceeding downwards until it ended at her slender collar bone. Yes, definitely was not the first time. But as much as he wanted to add to the collection he was more than pleased to see the spark of confidence back in her eyes. With that issue resolved he calmly followed her into the dinning room where both the King and his daughter sat. A pretty little thing with pink eyes and soft, angelic features. Physical traits that he knew were in direct origin of the princesses' mother. As always half breeds proved to be interesting subjects even after the centuries he spent analyzing and categorizing them.

As his wife sat at the end of the table Dylix relaxed into a seat by her right side. Silent and patiently awaiting the other's arrival. @verifiedkat

.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.

One look at his pocket watch and Wicked was not pleased. Dinner was just about to begin and his master was nowhere to be found. Inwardly he knew that Hadrian would not be so crass as to outright miss a social decorum and the fact he was pushing it so close immediately had the half ghoul on the fence. Not a single minute had passed before he had completely abandoned his post in front of the dining hall in favor of wandering up and down the halls. Any servants he passed all wore identical startled looks and immediately made way for his approaching figure. An understandable reaction to the murderous look that he was doing absolutely nothing to hide. By the time he actually did find his master the urge to punch a wall was in an all time high. But as he walked closer Wicked could immediately notice the tense atmosphere rolling off all of the three standing figures and back peddled to assess the situation.

From his stand point it would seem that Hadrian had been intercepted by...William? Wicked frowned, remembering the farmer from his first few days at the castle as a covert spy. Admittedly he loathed leaving his master unattended but his presence would be vital to both Corvana and Hadrian's plans. Two and half years of servitude had earned him a respectable name among the palace staff and vital information about all the ins and outs of the castle itself. Every secret passage, hidden doorway, even the amount of silverware were all ingrained in his memory. He left not one rock over turned and that included Mr. Mystery man that would sometimes appear on castle grounds at random intervals. Why would a simple farmer be appearing in the royal palace of all places?

To Williams credit it took Wicked more than two weeks to dig up any worthwhile information about him and that was after he had scoured the official documents hidden in the King's study. A secret militant farmer, huh? It was a bit of a stretch but here was Wicked, a half bred ghoul with fairy wings spying for the boy whose soul was infused with possibly one of the most deadly catalytic gems in the entire kingdom. He was in no position to talk.

Slowing his gait he approached the group with a strained smile that was at this point nothing but false pleasantries.

"Forgive my interruption, your highness but dinner will be commencing shortly. Minji." The passing maid all but stumbled on her feet at the sudden call of her name but seeing Wicked's expression she quickly walked over, "Would you be so kind as to guide the prince to the dining hall?" Her eyes widened slightly as her gaze flickered from Hadrian's to Wicked's until finally stuttering out a yes. It was the first time in two years he had last seen his master and it would seem that he still had the knack of making females speechless. Not that he would expect any less. Perhaps after the night has settled he would have a chance to relay all that he has learned over the months.

Keeping his expression tightly neutral Wicked turned to peer at the other two. At once his gaze landed on Aten's prone figure and very nearly scrunched his eyebrows in worry. Having worked there for so long he was well aware of the boy's frequent migraines and tended to him himself when and if he requested it. Inadvertently he discovered the reason behind them when the boy had growled at him after Wicked had attempted to help him after a particularly nasty one. With that discovery he knew Hadrian would be more than interested to see it for himself and so he apparently has. @WhosJack @Torma Ximnus @Past Paradise Tears

Breathe.. Just.. breathe.. Aten tried to think, the loudness of his own internal voice startling him and shaking him up like someone just jumped around the corner and spooked the living daylights out of him. Out of all the panic, Aten started to hyperventilate, shaking and gripping at his heart while his knees were giving in and he ended up gripping the back of William's top.

He knew who specifically William was, and he was probably the closest thing or person he considered a friend aside from his trusty ferret sidekick. He looked up at William, eyes pleading to somehow help him out since he didn't know what to do or how to breathe in all his confused panic. He probably recieved the greatest shock of his life over a DEMON.

"Of course, I am the royal fool~ No sense at all~" As more and more people came in, he would give a quick wave to each, and attempt to entertain himself with some toys he bought earlier. The sound of some metal knots clinging against each other would last only a moment before they became separated and combined again. He seemed lonely in the corner of the room, still on the high of incense and watched the room for anything that appeared wrong. As he was technically a servant, no one would normally pay him any mind, but he still ought to at least give a pleasant sound rather than the equivalent of jingling keys. Playing now with Oriental Bao Ding Balls, They let off a soothing monotonous rings while they twirled in his hand. He began to whistle a song, and as the incense wore off, he began to close his eyes and relax for a bit.

Layla bored of resting in her room decided to go see what everyone else was up to. "You wait here Nox. We don't want anyone to stumble upon you."

"And where is it that you think I would go? I have a warm fire and a soft pillow, I will not be venturing anywhere tonight. So go enjoy yourself without worry."

She gave the cat a quick smile and slipped out of the room and into the hall. It didn't take her long to find her way to the dining hall where a group of people had begun to gather. She was however still pretending to be a servant so she couldn't very well sit at the table with them. Slightly annoyed she took a spot against the wall with the other servants to keep appearances up. She curtsied to her family with a big smile on her face when they looked in her direction. Layla didn't see her brother, hopefully that meant that the little tour was going well.

William's eyes turned back to normal when he felt the top of his jacket grabbed. Confronting Hadrian and the others would have to wait, for now there were more important matter to attend to. Sparing no words for Hadrian or his staff he repositioned himself so he could get an arm under Aten's shoulders, his unseen hand squeezing pinching a piece of paper in the pocket it was resting in. "Come on kiddo, let's see about getting you some help." While William was normally a lot more careful Aten couldn't afford the usual amount of care he took, so he simply teleported them into an empty room, then immediately used a gating spell allowing him and Aten to pass through several areas in a single movement, the end result looking like they had disappeared from one part of the castle and reappeared in another part of it, more specifically at the top of an empty tower that was far from Hadrian and the others. The moment they reappeared in the tower William placed a calming spell on Aten, hoping to relieve at least some of the stress he was sure to be feeling. "Don't worry, I've called a friend for some help. He should be here any-"

William paused mid-statement as another person appeared in a sudden flash of light. "I came as soon as I could. What-" The person stopped short as soon as his eyes settled on Aten. With one look he immediately knew the nature of Aten's being, and what had been done to him. He moved closer to Aten, speaking to him in a way that expressed more than words, exuding an aura of calm to ease Aten's worries and help him feel at peace. "You will be all right, I've seen similar things before and I can help. Be at ease, this will only take a few moments, then all will be as it should." With those words he raised his hands, ready to get to work.
