Fandom Undernext (Post-Pacifist run Undertale RP) [OPEN]

Chara seemed to notice. She looked back at her and loudly whispered "what?". She didn't know what she was thinking or not, and she really wanted to know.

Eden heard chara and replied back with a calm tone "I just noticed that you look exactly like them." Eden then pointed to frisk as she said it.

Chars shrugged. "I guess....but we aren't actually related....and we're like, complete opposites...." She said.

Eden replied to Chara with soft calming tone "Opposites huh. strange... what makes you different to them." Eden was curious on what Chara said.

How am I supposed to tell her I kill for fun? She'll be freaked out and probably tell literally everyone! Chara thought. She wasn't going to lie, but she wasn't going to tell the full truth either. "Um...lots of things make us different. I really shouldn't tell you though. I can't." She replied.

Gaster meanwhile had been writing on the board with a lesson that few would understand at all. " To save us all some trouble I will forgo my normal manner of speaking despite it really being nothing more than an accent easily you could figure out by replying" Gaster said dryly " Now then the next lesson is human souls, magic , and determination how it all fits together. " He said the topic far beyond all but a few likely. " Now then the basics are that human are more solid matter than monsters who are more magic meaning intent is actually more important than we method used. Now the trade off is that humans are next to incapable of magic and therefore very weak to it. " he explained this was all simple info. " This theory however is wrong as humans can use magic that magic is determined by the defining trait of the soul for example determination. With Determination comes the ability to RESET to SAVE POINTS allowing one to return and redo events from a set point. " He continued this too was half easily enough known though not the magical nature. " Now you may wonder why this doesn't happen more often, the answer that that with so many humans on the world no one souls determination can override all others, in the underground the barrier acted as a shell allowing time to be reset within without affecting the outside world and keeping others DETERMINATION out." He said explained drawing an egg with underground written on it to illustrate.

Chara didn't pay attention to the lesson, as she never like learning. She hoped she wasnt making it obvious, though she didn't care. Then, she felt strange and looked at her. "Why were you staring at me? That's....weird...Don't ever do that again!" She said in a loud whisper. This time, it was a bit quieter than when she was arguing with Flowey because she didn't want to get caught again.

" Yes do you have a question ?" Gaster asked looking to the student that raised his hand at least someone was gettign it.

" Well that is all determined by the defining trait of the person, light blue is apprentice, Orange bravery, blue integrity, purple is perseverance, green kindness, and yellow bravery" Gaster explained " However only red has the ability to RESET in small areas"

Chara still didn't listen until she heard the different soul colors and about resetting. She knew that she had determination, and so did Frisk. But she was confused. Did my determination make me come back to life? What about in the underground and in the other times? Did I have to follow Frisk and be their 'narrator' because we both had determination? Ugh, this is so difficult!!! She thought. Of course, she didn't want to ask those questions. She probably couldn't either. Chara sat there, also wondering what everyone else had.

Gaster knew a great many things if he applied himself and he could guess what Chara was thinking she after all had been dead. " Determination however cannot bring the dead back to life, it can be triggered upon the wielders death RESETING to the last SAVE point allowing them to avoid what caused them to die. This can bring some back however should one be dead before the last SAVE point was reached then they shall remain dead. " Gaster explained. " The power to revive someone requires a monster to gather 7 souls one of each color ideally to gain the power stored within" He said going into new territory " Humans do have magic they simply have to much matter to access it, that is why their souls linger depending on how much they possess, monster being mostly magic do not have the untapped store and quickly fade." he explained " That is why monsters gain a boost in power by gaining even one soul because human souls are basically large sacks of mana and will. Humans can access this power by tapping into the key trait of their soul the easiest being determination simply because it will kick in when you don’t want to die. The others require acts or shows of the key trait to unlock the power. There is of course a second layer of even greater power to souls but that is much to advanced for now."

Chara then got frustrated with all her thoughts. This is so hard to comprehend! Why am I here? Wait- 7 souls of each color to revive someone? So I just need 7 souls to get Asriel back? Chara then remembered Flowey told her something like that previously. But now it was confirmed. She thought of ways to get her brother back, ignoring everything else going on. Of course, she didn't know if Flowey would be okay with it. Chara still hoped that she could make it happen. She stopped thinking about that. Her thoughts went somewhere else. She still continued to ignore everything.

Eden sat quietly and listened to Gasters lesson. Eden nodded her head and whispered to herself. "Interesting... i have never heard these kinds of lessons before..." Meanwhile Chloe was bored and decided to take a short nap on her seat.

Frisk was listening to the conversation, not truly knowing how to respond. Even though they always were excited for this day, right now the child felt kinda shy. They didn't know what to say. Afterwards, the teacher started teaching his lesson. It was about souls, Soul's colours, some differences between monsters and humans, and... Determination. That's what Frisk and Chara had, the two were full of determination. And it seemed that was the reason why Frisk could reset as well. They rest their head on their hand, listening as the lesson continued, letting out a small 'Ohhh...' as they were interested and thought it was pretty cool. Frisk's head lefts up at the part of other soul colours. They remember that when they were in Asgore's castle, there were small caskets downstairs. Each one with a different soul colour on the top. It just brought that memory back for a second. Realizing that that was the reason the caskets looked like that.

Flowey was trying to listen to Gaster's words, but really - How was that helpful? Flowey was aware of what he had to do to be himself, but he was bound by the promise he made to Frisk. He wished he could have just closed his eyes, and slept indefinitely, to never wake up. As if his life was a bad dream, and sleeping was ironically the only real way to stay awake. Flowey smiled, deciding to ask a question.

His voice suddenly popped up in the classroom. "And what if something is alive, but doesn't have a soul?" with an innocent voice, from which no one would expect any greater evil to stem from.

(Sorry for being unactive lately, I'll try to make up for it! X_X)

"so this is my new school" Hilton said to himself, sighing "just great, from a private school to a public one, and all because we moved to the surface" Hilton said to himself again, holding his books for his new classroom. "though, I guess I am lucky to be on the surface, and it might not be to bad...I just hope I don't have to pretend to learn anything" Hilton finished, smiling to himself. He arrived at the classroom the principle said he was assigned to "Hmm....W.D Gaster...could have sworn iv heard that name before" Hilton said aloud "anyway, time to go" Hilton said, opening the classroom door, and going to the teacher figure standing next to the board "hello...Gaster is it...well I'm the exchange student, from the UMPS (Underground Monster Private School), so were do I need to sit" Hilton finished, looking at the class he was in, and hoping he didn't have to sit by some distracting loud mouth.

" You can sit wherever I have no seating arrangement" Gaster said as the small bear like monster came in before he turned to flowey. " Well for that the most common animating force would be DETERMINATION distilled from red heart and pushed into the remains. Now the problem would be a vessel a monster revived this way would not have the magic to sustain its form and would start to melt. That is unless it finds more monsters revived this way becoming an amalgamation of them. This gives them enough magic to keep their form while the DETERMINATION prevents them from death constantly. " He explained showing the flaw behind Alphy's experiments " Now for one to be animated by DETERMINATION and lacking in a soul they would need a mostly physical body along with the remains of the one being animated. The physical body would act as a container keeping a good portion of power inside allowing them to maintain form and their own minds. " He explained not really caring who got it " As for the soul of the creature being animated, the memories will remain while the emotions will mostly be gone, this however is more a mental block over a physical one as the being is capable of eventually expressing such emotions the more they express the greater the chance of their full soul retuning. There is another way but that requires small additions of the other soul traits namely the one that most defined them before their death"

"ok Mr.Gaster" Hilton said, looking at his options, and deciding to sit by, what looked like one of two twins in the room, a quiet and seemily frustrated human (chara), and started taking notes on the lesson, for he knew basic information on human souls, but never had a teacher go into such detail on the matter, "most fascinating" he muttered, while taking his notes.

Eden saw the bear like monster that just came in the classroom, Eden locked and squinted her eyes at the newcomer "Would you look at that a new student..." Eden thought that she should talk to the new student, but she decided to do it later. Eden turned her head back to gaster who said something about red souls and determination.

Hilton sat taking notes, for he knew about all of the colors and what they meant, but the part about determination, and everything else was fascinating to him. He kept taking his notes, until suddenly the worst possible thing happened...his pencil broke, so he turned to the frustrated looking human and whispered "hey do you have a pencil I can borrow?"
