Under the Shadow of The Old Oak Tree (Rp)

Isis was slightly surprised by his sudden words, having not expected him to say much. She didn't know if he was still furious with her or not. She bit her lip again, shrugging. 'My father means a lot to me, yes. He was always taking the time to do things with me as a kid. He taught me so much, but not just me. He is the one we all look up to, me and my siblings. When we were growing up he would tell us stories of how his ancestors became part of the upper class. We were just simple convicts at first you know? We had no hope going for us at all and yet my great-great-great-great-great-great grand...something.. turned all that around. My father used to tell us the tale all the time. He made sure we knew that we weren't better than anyone else, and we would never forget it.' She shrugged. She hadn't really ever thought she would have to describe her father to someone she barely knew. 'He's the kind of guy that values honesty over everything else. He believes that family comes before work, that a good working relationship is established through trust, honesty and faith. He's the kind of guy that not only wishes on a star but does everything in his power to make it come true. He believes if your hardworking enough then you deserve the rewards.' She shrugged, tugging lightly on the bodice of her dress again as she walked. She wondered if maybe she was answering incorrectly, but she knew her words were true, just as her tone of admiration was honest, not forced. She sighed.

'In some ways, he's very different from my mother...' She said more to herself than him. After another few moments they reached the large manorhouse and she pushed open the huge oak doors, gesturing for him to enter.

'Mother! Father!' She called, looking about the vaste entrance hall with a frown. Where was everyone? She moved further into the hall, searching for any sign of life. She spotted a serving girl as she passed through, going about her task and called her over. 'Janie, can you tell my father that I've brought Tamotsu to see him?' She asked and the girl nodded, curtseying slightly before running off. Isis turned back to Tamotsu now, wondering what he thought of the place. As far as manors went, this wasn't even the largest in the district. Sure it was relatively sized but there were so many others that were far larger. In all honesty, she would have preferred a smaller place. She always felt so alone in the large place. She looked back to the stairs as her father came down, dressed in a business suit. He smiled at Tamotsu and shook his hand, noting the elegant suit that the redhead wore and nodding with appreciation. He, like Isis, hadn't expected quite the extent he had gone to.

'So you're Tamotsu correct? It's a pleasure to meet you. Why don't we step into my office and discuss matters?' He asked, gesturing to the hallway beside the stairs that led to his office. Isis gave Tamotsu an encouraging smile, her hands on her pendant again. She hoped he'd be alright.

Jayson glanced at the time as he finished the final touches on Elle's sword. 11am. Just enough time to have a quick shower and get cleaned up before delivering the selection of swords the prince had requested. He left the sword to cool in the basin before heading back towards the house, brushing past Michahael as the teen walked out of the bathroom, toweling his dark hair dry.

'Well someone has decided to actually bother with their appearance today i see.' Jayson joked. Michahael just shot him a glare and walked into his room, searching for his black button up shirt. Jayson located his own clothes and traipsed into the bathroom. As he stepped into the shower his muscles began to loosen up, having been taut after the constant work he had put in the previous two days. Ten minutes later he was showered and dressed, feeling utterly collected and refreshed. He knocked on Michahael's door lightly before getting a muffled invitation to enter. The teen looked up as if to ask what he wanted.

'I'll be leaving in fifteen minutes after I grab something to eat. If you intend to come with me then you'd best be ready by then.'

Damian came out of the office, yawning

"aah, Elle, that beanbag... comfortable as he-hey! if it isn't my baby brother!"

Damian came up to Joah, smiling as he looked at his brother in the same type of robes he wore before his banishment

"damn... i swear to god you look just like me... well, i guess my brother and I have some business to take care of, seeya later Elle, bye kids!" he raised a hand and waved goodbye to the kids, Hailie included.

he came out of the classroom with his arm around his brother's shoulders

"so, hat has my itty bitty baby bro been up to? you know what? we should go hunting, just you and me, plenty of good game out there, good chance to bond, waddya say?"

Looking down at Isis Tamotsu observed her behavior as she answered him, "My father means a lot to me, yes. He made sure we knew that we weren't better than anyone else, and we would never forget it. He's the kind of guy that values honesty over everything else. He believes that family comes before work, that a good working relationship is established through trust, honesty and faith. He's the kind of guy that not only wishes on a star but does everything in his power to make it come true. He believes if your hardworking enough then you deserve the rewards." Tamotsu nodded a bit just listening to her, letting her know he was paying attention. He wanted to know what kind of man he was so he'd know how to converse with him. Personally he thought her father would be the protective, judgmental type. The ones to give any guy, even if they weren't interested in his daughter, a hard time for simply being around her. But then again, he didn't look like a riff-raft either, not today at least. He rolled his neck until a distictive loud 'crack' issued forth from it. He was hoping this wasn't going to take long. There was alot of preparing to do for the festival, no thanks to Kogas brillant plan. Tamotsu wanted to slightly growl under his breath. It was bad enough they were on the verge of a Gang War, last thing he wanted to have was added stress over some stupid preformance. Feeling a bit unamused by the fact he had agreed to it he glanced back at Isis, desprately trying to not think at all, "In some ways, he's very different from my mother..." The look on her face was proof enough that their relationship was rocky. It wasn't something she seemed to be too fond of talking about so Tamotsu left it alone.

When they reached her home Tamotsu could help but feel the ugly green of envy creeping up on him. It was so big and he doubted they really needed all that room. He felt like he was in an area he shouldn't be. Walking in he had to stop himself from removing his shoes, the habit always nagging him whenever he enturned a home. As Isis left his side to speak to a hand maid he looked around cautiously, his left hand fussing with his right cuff clip. He was visabley uneasy, this place making him uncomfortable. Everything in there home looked very nice and even more expencive then he had expected. He figured it would be a cake walk seeing that he had been at Cashes house many times. But this wasn't his friends house, it was his future bosses. That gave the place a whole different feel, making it less welcoming. Proving himself to someone was something he didn't care for doing. Tamotsu didn't want acceptance, he could give a rats ass what people thought of him. But in a situatioin like this he was forced to
try to get people to like him. Hopefully it wouldn't be a drawn out conversation with her father, hopefully it was going to be short lived. As he looked up at the stair case he saw a man heading down for them. In a elegant looking suit her father strode for Tamotsu, smiling with his hand offered out to him. He was average hight which looked quite small compaired to Tamotsus monsterous size. Looking down at the mans hand he took his offering, shaking it firmly but not harsh. Truth be told Tamotsu was afraid of braking his hand, it being twice the size of her fathers. With a kind gesture he spoke up, looking directly at Tamotsus eyes, "So you're Tamotsu correct? It's a pleasure to meet you." Tamotsu nodded to him answering back, "Like wise." He then motioned towards a study across the hall saying, "Why don't we step into my office and discuss matters?" Tamotsu stayed silent and followed behind him, peeking over his shoulder at Isis. Her smile didn't do her and justice, she looked nervous and that didn't inspire much motivation for him. Turning back he thought to himself complaining, The hell did I get myself into? .....Baka.... As Tamotsu entered he was asked to shut the door behind him and to take a seat. He shut the door and the sound of the knob clicking was the signal that their meeting had started.

Sitting down in a large leather chair Tamotsu sat forwards, resting his elbows on his knees and clasping his hands together. Her father sat more comfortably, being much more at ease then Tamotsu. Rubbing the bottom of his chin he asked Tamotsu why he wanted the job in the first place. Tamotsu replied easily, "Easy, it paid more then the job I had before. You're daughter told me about it and I took her up on the offer. SImple as that." The man nodded a bit and traced his gaze else where in the room before looking back at Tamotsu. His hand gestered out casually as he spoke, asking what skills did he have to qualify. Tamotsu looked to the floor for a moment before glancing back up, "I don't really have it on paper for you. Want me to cook something up for you and I got all the supplies I need to make it then thats what you're going to get. No question about it. I've learned to cook over the years because of my mother. She needs more help with things then most so I've always been her assistant and helped out." Her father sat there for a moment and asked if he wanted a deminstration would he be alright with that. Tamotsu shook his head saying, "I don't got a problem with that." Shifting in his seat he explained later after they were done he'd like to see what he could do. Then resting his head lightly on the corner of his palm he asked what Tamotsu nationality was. The question was a bit off topic but Tamotsu figured his accent gave away the fact that he wasn't from here. Clearing his throat with a light cough he answered, "Im Japanese sir. Me and my family flew here before the tree showed up. We're orignally from Kyoto Japan." It seemed like her father took intrest and asked what it was like in his homeland. To Tamotsu it felt like this guy wanted to know him personally more then know him simply for his skills, he was liking where the conversation was going. Sitting up more he looked the father in the eyes and said, "Its a crouded place. Buildings pretty much on top of one another making you feel like you don't have any space to breath. The strict rules in and outside of your home. School was the out most important thing in your life. Without it you won't even have a hope to survive on your own. And if you ever shamed your family your name would be forever tainted. Never treated like everyone else, always having to prove yourself wherever you went. What people thought of you...was important there." He dad then remarked the it sounded as though he didn't really like his homeland. Tamotsu disagreed, "Even though there was all of those negitave things about that place, it was still home. Not a single place here do I feel like I am home." It was quiet for awhile between them, Tamotsus eyes had grown sharp and dark. He wasn't enjoying the fact that this guy was poking at his personal life. Trying to pick him apart and see who he really was. It annoyed him. He took a good breath through his nose to calm himself down, trying to make it appear as though he was relaxed. Though he wasn't sure how much longer he'd be able to deal with these types of questions. Tamotsu added one good thing to his statement tough, to maybe change the air in the room, "But I will say one thing, I miss the shrines that place had. I have yet to find one here. At least when I was there....I had one place I could go to get a since of peace." Her father seemed to be satisfied for the time being and stood up asking him if it'd be alright for him to have that demitration now. Tamotsu stood up, readjusting his suit nodding. Walking out of the study Tamotsu saw the Isis was still there, sitting in a chair waiting to see how things went. When they turned for the kitchen she looked quzzled, following them close behind.

Walking into the kitchen Tamotsu glanced around, seeing how big and spacious it was. With expresso stain on their floors and limestone counter tops it made the place look very sheek. Gesturing he pointed out all the areas where things Tamotsu would be using to work. Then stepping back all he told him to do was to cook something and turned heading for the kitchen door. Tamotsu cocked a brow at him and questioned, "Anything? Just cook anything at all?" The father smiled and nodded, wanting to see if Tamotsu could impress him. Tamotsu grinned a bit, the father just made this easy for him. Turned his back to the door and got started, his hands working quickly to prepare their meal.

Jonah was blushing pushing his brother away about a foot or two. "I'm glad your back but I was busy trying to help the family" he answered simply and ended up blushing more hearing how he was talking to him. "And i'm not a baby"he muttered looking at his feat. "Besides I never learned how to hunt since you were going to teach me but you know what happened he next week" he finished waiting for his brothers reply.

Isis hovered nervously as she waited for her father to interview Tometsu. She hoped he wasn't giving him too much of a hard time. He didn't deserve to have the third degree, but her father tended to poke a lot. He respected people's privacy for the most part, but he had a tendency to pry without meaning too. She loved her father to bits but now was one of those crucial times when she wished that he didn't. The last thing they needed was to make him uncomfortable, after all he was the one that was going to be in charge of their food. He could poison them at any time. She gave a half laugh as she had that thought. Jeeze, he hasn't even gotten the job yet and you're acting like he's a threat. That is no way to behave. She scolded herself, frowning. She looked up as Her father and Tamotsu exited the office and headed towards the kitchen and she bit her lip nervously. Did that mean that he'd got the job? Would her father accept Tamotsu? She bit her lip again. 'Please let them have got on alright, please...' She whispered, before following them to the kitchen. She hung about in the doorway, watching as her father showed him all the appliances and what he'd be working with. When asked to demonstrate something Tamotsu seemed strangely relaxed. Perhaps he was confident. Confidence was generally good, she thought with a smile. As he worked, she stepped out of the shadows of the hallway and into the kitchen, standing beside her father. She looked up at her father, an inquiring expression on her face. Her father simply smiled kindly at her, giving a slight nod. A surge of joy rushed through Isis' body. Depending on how the demonstration went, he would be getting the job. She hugged her father tightly, glad to have him. 'Thank you daddy..' She whispered softly, not caring if Tamotsu could hear it or not.

Jayson and Michahael approached the palace, their arms laden with swords in their ornate wooden cases. They were announced by one of the servants and shown into one of the less formal sitting rooms where they were told to wait for Prince Damien. Michahael gazed about the room, studying the expensive furniture and upholstery. What was it about the royals and decorating lavishly? It wasn't like they had a law that said they HAD to spend their money on expensive furniture. They could use it for something else. He let out a bored sigh, drumming his fingers lazily against the tabletop where they had spent five minutes carefully laying out each case with the lid open so that they could see the full beauty of the weapons. A smaller case was set aside with Elle's own weapon in it. Jason had figured it would be easier to bring it with them than have her go to the smithy when they were already going.

Elle smiled and nodded politly she grimaced anf picked up her dress "I should go get ready" she left the room with hailie and the two walked to elles room and she opened the door too see hair things all over the table no one was in sight. Suddenly a girl walked out from the bathroom and looked at the two smiling elle gasped and hugged her and hailie smiled Delilah was escorted stright to elles room, although she was a docter he jad taught herself allot to do with hair and was an expert.she set all her items up, she hadnt seen elle in a while and didnt know what to do with her hair. she quickly used the powervto heat up her equiptment and she eent into the bathroon to was her hands. she pulled her bag onto the table an set up Haillies meal as the door opened she smiled and hugged elle back "hurry elle we need to get this done." she smiled Elle laughed an sat down and delilah started on he hair Noah was making his way to Isis's family home his father and hers seemed to want them to get together not that he minded sue was hot after all, and surly sh wpuld be good in bed, the only difference between the families which their fathers failed to see was their veiws his family thought that the rich were bettervthan the poor and hers thought that they had ernt their place. He knocked on tge door and his mother said "remeber you are ezcorting Isis to the ceremony." he smirked and nodded

Isis' mother was the one to open the door. An exclamation of surprise escaped her as she saw Noah and his mother on the step. 'Noah, how wonderful to see you. And you too, (insert mother's name here)' She held the door open for them, smiling brightly. 'Come in, come in.' She said, ushering them through the door. She then called out for Isis and the girl reluctantly left her father's side in the kitchen to see what her mother wanted.

'Yes mother?' She asked. Her mother smiled at her daughter, walking over and lightly guiding her towards Noah and his mother with a hand to the back. 'Darling, you remember Noah right? you two used to play together as children.' She said, gesturing to the teen. Isis let out a frustrated sigh. She remembered Noah. She also remembered when he had thrown rocks at some of the lower classes when they were walking to work. She looked at her mother, shooting her a glare of disdain.

'Why is he here?' She demanded to know. Her mother smiled. 'He's going to be your escort to the wedding.' Isis shot her mother a deadly glare. 'He's what?! No. i refuse.' She said, pulling her mother aside so that the others couldn't hear. 'Mother, I hate him! He's rude and dispicable. All he thinks about is how much better than everyone else he is.' Her mother stared her down. 'Isis Rockwell, you will go to that wedding with Noah as your escort or so help me god I will do everything in my power to make sure you never go to that seamtress job of yours.' Isis shot her a furious look and stormed off, going to her room and slamming the door. She was not going to be that pathetic prick's trophy girl for the day!

Downstairs her mother moved back over to Noah. 'Just follow her up dear, she'll calm down in a minute.' How little her mother knew..

Delilah finished elles hair and smiled at it she grinned and lead elle over to the closet to put on the dress elle gasped and said "wow" sh sliped it on ajd was adorned with the queens jewlery and a tiara (which elle glared at). Elle looked in the mirror and gasped she looked beautiful.

Noah smirked at Isis and her mothers fighting and nodded "thankyou i will" he sauntered upstairs and walked in withouf knocking anf said "well well hasnt Isis grown up well" he said looking her up and down

Damien sighed "i know brother... oh right! i have my wedding... brother, I wasnt you in the front row for this wedding, okay?"

a servant came running after them

"Prince Damien, oh prince Joah, how do you do my lord?... lord Damien, you're wedding attire..."

"really now... wasn't i only engaged today?"

"it is rushed my lord, but please..."

Damien sighed "okay lets move... i'll see you later little brother..."

first, they needed to pick out his ornamental sword, they stopped by Jay and Michahael "Hello again blacksmith" he said smiling, just like he did back at the shop

"hmm.... this one i like.. a lot" http://imgc.classistatic.com/cps/blnc/120811/336r1/7792m2e_20.jpeg

he took the blade and nodded to the blacksmith "good crafting my good man... make sure he gets his money, and a bit extra, will you?" he said to the servant, the servant nodded "of course sir"

Damien nodded to Jay and went on, going to his quarters to arrange his formal wear.

Tamotsu looked around at the things provided for him and went through the several dishes he knew how to cook in his mind. Within a few seconds he turned from the counter to the fridge, pulling out salmon, crab meat and panko shrimp. Placing htem on the counter he grabbed rice, nori and a bowl of water. A flame lit on the stove, everything was ready ans set. Tamotsu got started. Within a few minutes shy of 20 he came out, three plates of decorated sushi. Each one was different, having a combination of the foods he gathered together. Sauces, spices and artistic touch made the dish a mouthful of delight. Setting them in front of her father he pointed to each one naming them aloud, "The on to your right is a dragon roll, I changed it up a bit and added my own special sauce to it. The next over is a simple crab roll, there is wasabi off to the side for extra flavor. And the last one,Tora Tang Combo. Salmon, panko shrimp and crab all mixed into one roll. A dash of spices and tangy orange sauce will make your mouth water as the roll melts together as one flavor of its own." He crossed an arm over his chest, bowing his head, "Enjoy." Isis's father looked a slight bit impressed as he pulled his napkin down to his lap and started on the first plate. Tamotsu stood there calm and composed, not a single bit of worry displayed on his face. He had total confidence in his abilites and figured if he passed the meeting in the study then he'd sure pass this taste test. The father seemed to take his time, checking every now and then to see if Tamotsu started to loose his cool. But on the moment he finished his last peice of sushi he dabbed his mouth gentaly and swallowed. Only a smile creeped up on his face as he looked up at Tamotsu, he then congradulated him saying he had gotten the job. Tamotsu smirked and remarked, "I didn't think it was fair you decided to as for a demintration. I knew that when you said that I got the job. Why'd you keep me waiting so long? Wanted to see if I'd feel like I was in the hot seat?" His chin tipped up while his cocky smirk grew. He was proud of his work and his pride came out quite thickly. It didn't seem to bother her father though, in fact he chuckled, slapping Tamotsu on the back. It worked, his cooking paid off and now he was one step closer to getting back on the road to change. Him and her father only spoke for a few moments longer before he was walked out the door. His hours were given to him on a sheet of paper, his excitement was over building.

Damien sighed "i know brother... oh right! i have my wedding... brother, I wasnt you in the front row for this wedding, okay?"

Judith walked around the streets she had tried to get some shopping done but she had no money and the shop wasn't opened today. She had been walking around all morning and had, had a few conversations with people the people on the street but none of them had been all that comforting. On her way she saw families and happy faces, nobles trow away their food without knowing that people were starving at the bottom of the tree. she then saw her family they looked like they were happy without her, no they didn't look like it they were, she watsched as her sister put a terrible hat on her mothers head, she trew it off imediatly and started laughing like she wasn't missing anything at all.

She walked a few streets up wandering what her next plan was going to be, she had to pay her rent tomorrow and she was broke and hadn't been paid yet. On her way she heard about the prince having a wedding today, and his wife to be was a school teacher who seeded to be the only person that could handle so she decided to go to the castle to see how the Royal she tried to kill was doing. She didn't know if she would be allowed in, but she had proven her innocence and that was enoung well at least she hopped it would be so she made her way to the centre of the tree all empty on energy.

Danni looked at the time and decided to get ready for the wedding of the prince. She went over to the castle to get everything ready for the wedding. she walked around for a while wondering what she had to do next when she was told one of the royals was calling her to talk about the safety of the wedding.

Isis looked up and shot Noah a furious glare. 'Oh. My. God! Why can't you just leave me alone?!' She shouted, picking up a shoe and throwing it at him. She let out an angry hiss and picked up the book on her desk, pelting it at the guy too, followed by a pen, a coathanger and eventually her lamp. 'I HATE YOU! LEAVE ME ALONE!' She shouted, glaring at him before pushing past him, running out of the house. She passed the two women in the entrance hall and outside, running as far from the house as possible. Tamotsu was walking a little way ahead and she ran to catch up, calling his name. She didn't quite know why she did it, but the loss of concentration caused her to trip over the hem of her dress and she fell, landing painfully on the ground. the bark of the bough grazed her hands and she stiffled a cry, deciding to just lie there a while, glad that she was at least saved the indignity of having her skirts fly up. 'Ouch...' She moaned softly, her dark hair covering her face.

Noah smirked at the raging chick and dodged all if the things throen his way, exept the lamp. he bent over and grabbed his stomach it hurt allot. Elle and dellilah were lead to the place she would be entering from and she waited as hailie skipped aroumd in the quickly made but beautiful flower girls dress. Elle hated why and how soon she was married and she took a deep breath. She didnt hate her groom but it wasnt love possibly a crush or just thinking he was cute.

As he went to stride off to go to the Poor district he heard his name called, Isis trailing a ways behind him. He stopped and paused looking at her in questiong, "...Isis? He was on a tight schedual and had to get some practicing in or else they'd have to back out of preforming tonight. But before she reached him she tripped and fell harshly on the ground, scrapping herself up. Tamotsus brows shot up and he was at her side in a instant, helping her up. Muttering he asked, "Why the hell where you running like your life depended on it? I have to work here tomorrow...not like you couldn't catch up with me some other time." Tamotsu was clueless, not even noticing the small immature male enter her home. Rarely did he ever take note of people, only when they stood out or when he was on the alert. Otherwise people were mere obsticals that he had to walk past or around. Standing in front of her he let go of her and asked, "Wanna explain to me what is going on?"

She looked up in surprise as he helped her to her feet. She dusted herself off, studying the grazes on her palms with surprise. Small dots of red formed in the graze, stinging the flesh. 'I'm escaping. My parents want me to go to some royal wedding with a stupid pig of a guy. He's awful. He's everything that one would expect from someone who has grown up with money and no one to control him. He's horrible and spiteful. He disgusts me.' She said with a tone of hatred. She then sighed. 'He followed me when i went to my room so I threw a lamp at him.. and a shoe.. and a book..' She suddenly laughed, realising how ridiculous she must sound.

Kristina coughed as she waltzed up next to Jayson. "So... Damien is getting married?" she looked down at the floor. She'd only just heard. "And have you gotten my key yet?" she smiled, nudging Jay a little. She liked him . They were perfect for each other.

Damien was buttoning up his white shirt

"As, a perfect fit milord" said a smiling maid, Damien groaned

"I swear to god... this is just a complete joke, i mean, when was i engaged? today? yesterday? and the wedding already... jesus..."

"its the king's will sir"

"the king can go suck a d**k for all i care, she's a nice girl and all, but i've only known her for one day... one day!"

"i know sir... you're top button sir"

"i know i know..."

Damien put on the top button

"I dont think anyone is happy with how fast this is going, the Nobles are in a panic trying to prepare themselves, Elle must be nearly throwing up with nearvousness... ha..."

Elle was hyperventelating, she heard the croud outside. Normally Elle was afraid of mothing, not crowds, but these people, they thought she was in love with an exile the 'perfect' love story. She wasn't that girl and she had to live up to what they expected, which wasn't her, THIS wasn't her. She breathed in and out, Maids rushing around trying to calm her down, she was muttering very fast under her breath "Oh my ... it's happening i never thought it would, i mean married, now i've know him for less than a day. . . he's nice but i'm supposed to LOVE him!? It's so unfair and I feel like a teenager! she sounded like one to, complaining way too much.

Jayson looked up in surprise. What was Kristine doing here? Right.. the royal wedding. He flashed her a smile, fishing the key out of his pocket and presenting it to her.

"Hear you go. One bonified Grant key. Of course it was my brother that made it, not myself. Speaking of which...' He looked around and saw that his brother had disappeared. 'Where the hell did he go?'

Michahael had wandered off after Damien had come to pick up his sword, casually strolling along with no destination in mind. He was lost in his own thoughts, wondering why he hadn't arrested yet, expecting guards to come tearing around the corner at any minute. While he was lost in said thoughts, a strange conversation caught his attention.

'..Is she in place?'

'..Yes. Our man is with her.'

'Good. Is the archer on the roof?'

'Yes, he's got a clear view of the balcony where they'll appear first.'

'Very good. We will not have a commoner in the royal family.'

'...What of Prince Damien? He's not going to stand by calmly as his bride to be is assassinated.'

'..Kill the traitor too. He's no longer fit to be in line for the throne.'

This exchange of words startled Michahael, and he frowned, trying to make sense of what he'd heard. Did they mean to kill Elle? it was not making any sense to him. Why would anyone want to kill her? He bit his lip, frowning. He should warn them. He set off at a run, trying to figure out where Elle was. He ran into a couple of servants and demanded to know where she was. After five tries someone finally pointed him in the right direction. Yanking the door open he stood panting.

'You can't go out there. They're going to kill you.' He panted, leaning heavily against the doorway, trying to catch his breath.

Elle turned as she heard the door open, she hadn't yet gotten her blade out of the box, she had looked at it though, even if it was rushed it was pretty. As she began to ask what twp strog hands pulled her to a hard chest and covered her mouth. she squirmed, Screaming, into the hand covering her mouth she pointed to the blade, after getting Michahael's attention. She man turned her around and hit her in the stomach, making her bend over in pain. She tried to breath properly and was mannaging slowly. The man punched her again, this time in the face, he let go and Elle fell to the ground he puled out a knife he growled in a rough voice "Come any closer and she gets it." Elle started to tear up, tdoay just WASN'T her day.

Delilah shot Elle a sorrowfull look and picked up Haille and ran to get some of the guards'

"Sir, sire! Elle, she's being attacked!"

"What, lead the way!" she left Haille with a maid and ran back to elle and the guard approched and reached for his sword.

My man growled and and grabbed elle's arm, turning her onto her back and moving her dress to expose her back. Elle started screaming as she felt the cool blade on her back, at first softly but the man aplied more pressure and it cut into her skin, making a warm steam of blood escape her and run down her back. Sje started carving something into her skin and she was screaming loudly and writhing.More guards came, but they couldn't do anything, he would keet going if they did, most of the guards were horrified at the scean infont of them.

Damian in his room had finished with his shirt

"i swear to god..."

"yes yes my lord, its all a joke now if w-KYAAA!"

Damian turned around and saw one of his guards fall to the ground, a knife in his back, behind him, a man clad in black fell from a broken skylight in the roof, he pulled his blade form the man's back

"Prince Damian..." he said, looking up, Damian's eyes went wide

".. you!"

Damian (16) was asleep in his bed, when he heard a small sound on his bedside table "mm, wh-wha!?" he went as he awoke, lookng up at the man standing over him

"go back to sleep milord, i apologize for waking you, i just need to collect one of the king's books you left in here..."

"oh, i left my father's books on my table"

"thank you milord, just go back to sleep then"

"mm-hmm" Damian turned over and fell asleep again, the assassin placed the weapon on his bedside table then left... but Damian remembered his face

THE PRESENT

"who are you working for!?"

"well, I've worked for many people"

"why didn't you just snipe me from above!?"

"because i fear i may have been getting rusty, and i heard you have become quite a warrior, so i wanted to see..."

Damian drew his new ceremonial sword, holding it up

"alright... lets do this... all of you, get out! and take him with you"

the maids and guards did as he said, leaving the room, the assassin didn't stop them and they took out the wounded guard.

"alright... no rules, no restrictions..."

Damian and the Assassin charged at each-other, clashing blades as they passed, they spun around and began slashing and clashing their blades, ripping clothes and causing small cuts, but neither yet landing any critical blows.

some guards came around the corner "Inform lord Damian his bride to be is being held by an assassin!"

"He's dealing with his own assassin at the moment, where is she!?"

"in her room!"

Damian's elite guards went with the palace guards, soon joining those standing against the assassin with Elle being the hostage.

Michahael stared in absolute horror as the assassin carved a symbol into her back. Formulating his plan slowly in his mind, he frowned. How could he possibly beat this guy. he was at least twice his size. And he had the power to overpower a martial arts instructor. He was screwed. But he couldn't let him continue to torture her like that. Her screams tortured him and he began to back away. Everyone stared at him. The assassin grinned.

'See, the boy's got the right idea. Why don't you all start heading back that way?' he snarled, gesturing with his sword. Suddenly, taking everyone by surprise, he charged forward, using the force of his acceleration to charrge into the assassin, startling him enough to force him to let go of Elle. He wrestled the sword out of his hand with some difficulty, calling out to the guards.

'Get her out of here!! God damn it! Get her to a f*****g hospital!' He shouted. As if snapped out of a horrified trance, the guards lurched into action, four of the elites helping Michahael as the boy began to become overpowered. He gladly surrendered his position to them, holding a hand to his left eye. The prick had got a punch in. it would be swollen by this afternoon. The other guards were carrying Elle away, one had called ahead to the hospital to let them know they were on their way. When she was safely out of harms way he limped into the hallway again, holding his face gingerly.
