Under the Shadow of The Old Oak Tree (Rp)

Damien went over and sat next to Elle, putting an arm around her shoulder

"Elle, kids get into fights all the time with their parents, and every parent knows that what their kids say in an argument like "i hate you" aren't real, they're just emotions making you say things... you're mother- look at me!"

he turned her head to look at his, he looked her deep in the eyes and put his forrhead against hers

"... your mother knew that you loved her, dont beat yourself up over something you said in an argument..."

he pulled his head back a bit

"go on..." he said, hoping she'd continue, best not to let her dwell on her family, it would only make her sadder and sadder.

Isis sighed, shaking her head. Good one idiot. Now he'll hate you and you deserve it too. Why did you go and say that? You should've kept your stupid emotions under wraps. You always screw it up at the crucial point in time. She sighed again, pocketing her pen and leaving the restaurant at a slow pace. For once she didn't care if her appearance wasn't just right. She had never felt so terrible in her life. If he hadn't left so fast she probably would have gone after him, but he had left, at an incredible pace. Wandering back towards the centre of the market district she began to wonder if maybe she should just give up.

Elle listened to his words and they took longer than normal to sink in, but when they did she nodded, her tears slowing, she lent her head on his sholder, leaning into him needing the comfort she thought about the truth in his words, every teenager did fight and her mother probably knew sh didnt mean it. whem she was forced to loom at him she noticed the warm shade his eyes held it helped slow her tears and when her tears had slowed anough so she could talk she opened her mouth and said "there were thirty bombs, they killed so many. . . " she trailed of and continiued "no one is burried near the roots anymore that is where the dead were burried." she wiped her eyes and said "thanks for that"

Damien leaned against her as she leaned against him, he stroked her hair, an old way of comforting "did we find out who did it?... the Americans? Chinese? Iran? Russia?... Rebels?"

(im gonna go for the night, seeya)

Elle shook her head and yawned cutely she rubben her eyes, she wasnt tired she was just sick of crying. she enjoyed the comfort, since well since her parents had gone shed only gotten it of the little ones and getting it of somone her age and whi understood was awesome for her. she put her arns around his waist it resten on his stomach so they were kind of hugging but it was maily so they wouldnt fall over "we never found out we assume russia it wasnt china or england but thats all we know"

ouldnt fall

(problems with my game, so im back)

Damien kissed her on the forehead softly "Maybe... i guess we'll find out one day... well, is there anything NOT involving massive amounts of death that happened during my exile? for example... uhh, who is now 1st in line for the throne?"

Elle blushed when he kissed her forehead but other than that she didnt show any sign of reaction. She thought for a moment ajd said "well it hasnt been decided yet whoever gets married first save you because you were exiled" she said and thinking about it more she said "we have a celebration on the day it happend every year, we cut of a branch and make cups we then give one to every person in the tree and we all have a feast. I i dont usually go i take a cup and go down to wherr they were burried" she has a far away look in her eyes

"I see... it must have been horrible..." Damian was having a hard time trying to get his head around all of this, since this was still new news to him.

he stroked the bottom stretches of her hair, letting it go through his fingers "I really dont know what to say, Elle... i wish theres something i could have done but..."

he shook his head a bit "I'm sorry for your loss"

he looked into her eyes, even though they were distant, his continued to be piercing, looking deep into her, he stroked a finger across her cheek, wiping away some tears

"... here, you're a mess..." he began wiping away her tears with his sleeve.

She laughed and said "I am arnt i?" she smiled at him and kissed his cheek lightly "you wouldnt have been able to do anything, no one would have." sh reasured him as she snapped back into reality she focussed on his breathing which was steady, she coppied it to calm herself down. she smiled aat his comfort and though who would have thought hed comfort me, but i will enjoy it while it lasts. she blinked and said "I think im okay now" butbfor some reason she didnt want to move

Damian nodded "okay then, if you ay so..." he sat there with her in silence, just enjoying the quiet for a bit.

after a few minutes Damian looked up at the roof, the sun was shining through the skylight

"Elle... tell me, what did they say about me after i was gone?... aside from the lie that i tried to kill my father?"

Elle way enjoyingvthe quiet and turned her head to look at him "many things, that you were power hungry that you were mentaly ill, that you . .. enjoyed killing that ouvhad killed before and that you aided the bombers?" she said sadly "lies im sure" the last part was sort of a question. sye put a hand on his cheek and smiled "im sure no one important believes it well important to you"

Tamotsu didn't want to hear anymore, the sounds of people moving about and chattering was harsh on his ears. Even more so he was irritated and in quite a foul mood. Isis had made her point and Tamotsu was re-living an all too familuar feeling that he had to bury quickly. Reaching into his pocket he powered up his MP3 Player while putting his ear peices in, drowning out all sound completely. He turned it to one of his favorite songs, though he'd never admit aloud that it was. God Knows was the name of it and it was one of the last songs realised in his home land. If he said he didn't miss it he'd be lieing. What was it like there now? Had it changed at all? What had he missed out on? Didn't his friends ever think of him or had he just became a fading memory? The voice of the singer made him think of home because he had met her, she was alot like him. Strong willed, deturmined, prideful and brave. If he wasn't so star struck when he had first met her and been more cool headed, maybe he would have been able to get to know her better. He chuckled cursing aloud, "Baka..." What did any of this matter now? It wasn't like he was ever going back home. Even if there was some way he could he doubted he'd could acctually leave, not with things unfinished at least. Cash, Koag and Raph wouldn't let him go and his brother....Kyo, he didn't think he'd leave with him if he had asked him to. Truth be told his parents left Japan to better their lives but since the tree grew they were right back where they started. Tamotsu figured it was just fate, always dogging them every way they turned. Tamotsu would help his family anyway he could though and with this new job he'd be able to do that. He hoped he could just give his parents the life they deserved for just a little while before their health would fail on them. Tamotsu mother was healthy but had a bone disease that made it impossible for her to work let alone pick up anything remotely heavy. His father was a hard working man, said very few words but never harsh. Tamotsu loved them both but neither one fo them were young, they were up in their years. Even though he was only 20 years old his parents had him when they were older and then 5 years later Kyo had been born. Tamotsu wouldn't say it becuase it would be disrespect to his mother and father but Kyo was basically raised by Kyo. It didn't happen cause they were awful or careless. His mother couldn't work and his father had to make up for the slack working double just to keep the bills and food in their home. Tamotsu should have gotten his wake up call then. But instead of being the Big Brother he treated his brother like a friend and taught him everything bad he had learned. Now because of his lack of responcablility he was paying for it, watching his brother ruin his life like he did. Weather it was hopeless or not he'd do everything he could to turn back the clock and set him straight, even if he'd have to beat it into him...

Upon arrival he stopped at the front door and slipped his shoes off. His thick fingers reached down to grip them by the heels before opening the door and stepping in. The house was quiet, his mother cooking at the stove while his father waited at the table, reading the newspaper. His mother looked up with a gental smile, happy to see one of her babies come home safe, "Oh Tamo, you're home. So good to see that you got here safely." Tamotsu blinked a bit looking at his mother, her voice so easily washing away the frusterations of the day, "Arigatou Okaasan..." It took him by surprise everytime. Didn't matter how many time she did it, it seemed like she always 'knew' when he was in a ill mood. His father tipped the paper a bit to observe his son and speak up, "Yes, welcome home Tamotsu." Tamotsus head bowed as he looked at his father, "Arigatou Otosan-sama." He then placed his shoes by the door and walked down onto the hard wood floor. Tamotsu asked both of his parents if Kyo was home and they both had shook their heads, Tamotsu having a bad feeling about his younger brothers where abouts. He narrowed his eyes and he nodding saying, "If he doesn't come home soon I'll go looking for him." Taking his ear peices out and placing his MP3 Player on the kitchen counter he walked over to his mothers side and started to help her prepare dinner. His father continued to read the paper and relax, working almost 18 hours. Tamotsu and his mom nearly finished making dinner when Kyo stormed through the door, shoes on and head down, not giving a single greeting to anyone in the room. Tamotsu froze a moment and then glared, "Take off your shoes and apologise to Okaasan and Otosan for your lack of manners!" Kyos head was tipped down and his bangs hung over his eyes, his tone quiet and shameful, "Gomen nasai...Okaasan...Otosan."
He took his shoes off and dropped them next to Tamotsus and went to leave the room but Tamotsu strode acrossed the room and gripped him by the scruff of his shirt. He knew something was up and when his brothers face came out from hiding behind his hair he saw what it was he was hiding. Tamotsu narrowed his eyes and sneered, "What kind of trouble did you get yourself into this time Baka? A black eye?! Who did you fight with today?! You better not have been around the Gang!" Kyo gritted his teeth and shoved Tamotsus hands off of him and shouted, "What does it matter if I was or wasn't?! At least one of us is a man in this house!" Tamotsus nostrals flaired and slammed Kyo to the wall, his forarm pressing on his throat, "Yeah you're right there is a man in this home but it sure the hell ain't you! Who do you think you are?! What the hell are you trying to prove?! You keep this up and you'll end up like me, a good for nothing piece of garbage that can even get a real job! Who has to struggle through school a second year in a row to try and pass! DO you want that?! Is that what you want?!" Kyo was looking away from him not making eye contact, he wasn't comfortable being like this with his brother, he made him feel so small. He hated when his Elder Brother acted this way, it was so maddening. Tamotsu shook him sneering, "Look at me when Im talking to you, you little prick! You're gonna stay in for the night and if I find out you left here after Im gone you're not gonna want to come back home! You got that?!" Kyo musted only a few words, glaring at his older brother, "Yeah...crystal clear..." Tamotsu let him go and backed off, his heart rate shooting through the roof. He'd get so angry with his younger brother. It wasn't cause he hated him, it was because he just didn't see how much of his life he was throwing away. He didn't want him to end up like him and he'd dow whatever he could to make sure that wouldn't happen...even at the caust of their relationship. He loved his little brother more then anything, even more then his parents. That why it was killing him to watch his life dwindle to nothing right before his very eyes. Kyo shot a sour look in Tamotsu direct while Tamotsu was trying to regulate his heart beat. Nothing was said for several minutes as Kyo left the room going up stairs to his room. Tamotsu rezoomed helping his mother cook, his hands shaking from the adrenaline pumping through his vains. His mother and father were quiet, they were non-violant people and didn't say much after events like this. Tamotsu was ashamed for bringing shame to his parents. Speaking low his eyes softened as he breathed out shakely, "Gomen...nasai." His mother stopped a moment, put her hand on his bisep and smiled kindly. Her other hand reached up and cupped the side of his face speaking softly, "Its alright Tamotsu, we know you're trying...just don't push him too far alright?" Tamotsu much large hand gentaly pressed his mothers closer to his cheek and closed his eyes, immedatly calming down, "I will try..."

Hours passed and dinner had been down for quiet some time. Tamotsu had cleaned up and let his parents relax the rest of the night. Kyo came down stairs only for a short amount of time, eating his dinner as fast as he could so he could leave the room. Tamotsu was the last at the table, trying to keep his temper in check while Kyo was present. As Tamotsu quietly opened the door and slipped on his shoes he stepped outside, locking the door behind him. Tonight he was to meet up with Cash, Raph and Koga to talk about what their next move was and they should be worried about these new Underlings. With a black T-shirt that hugged his muscules and a dark pair of blue jeans he headed out into the night, the night life loud and alive. Tamotsu strode off into the alleyways and took the short cut to their hide out, disapearing into the shadows.

"pah, what garbage... i never killed anyone before my exile, and the ones i have killed was to survive, in a "me vs them" situation... and even if i knew who the bombers were, and even if i could somehow do something to aid it... why would i? i'd have no reason to, i never felt hate towards here, some pain yes, but never hate"

he sighed

"did no-one ever think of it as strange.. how... quickly they were to sentence me?... usually the trial period for something like murder is about a month, and even longer for royalty... yet i was accused, convicted and exiled all within the same week, and the "evidence" was laughable... my smudged fingerprint on a blade, an assassin who's general figure looked kinda like mine to my father's tired eyes and the would-be assassin's blade left oh so conveniently on my bedside table the next morning... didn't anyone think that as a bit too... i dunno, FLIMSY to be actual evidence?"

Elle smiled a little he was as passionate as her when it came to the truth she had tried calling his name during his rajt but nothing worked she she turnrd his cheek towards her and said "capm dowm i think people did it . looked like you did it as youd never been very . . . . calm" she had heard roumors before

"well, almost no teenager is really "Calm" but a more active teenager isn't evidence to support them being a murderer..."

he shook his head "i'm guessing they'd probably say i used to eat human flesh too"

he leaned back, putting his hands behind his back and sighed again "... sorry to go on about this..."

elle nodded "hey its fine and there really isnt anything else" sge said remvoving her hand from his r cheek and said "but it was forgotten after the bombimg intill you came back" she trailed of that is when you started lookig evil

"i see" he said.

".. Elle... did you ever imagine that you'd be betrothed to someone like me?... were you hoping to marry... someone else?... i must ask, i dont want this marriage to be forced upon you..."

Elle shook her head and said "i never really thought about it i guess but i expected to havean arranged marriage i have nochoice the king has ordered me its not so bad that its you though at least we geton

Judith watched the cople leave the shop going their seperate ways, the girl had gottn anoyed at her but she didn't care every one got anoyed at her these days she want back to the shop and gave Wand her soup. "don't touch me with that hand!" Wand snapped at her, Judith instantly steped back from her not wanting to be slapped. After a few more hours of work it was now getting dark, the festival was tomorrow and she was maids, gaurds, and other people who had a role to play in getting ready for the festival. Wand had left early today leaving her to close the shop. On the streets she saw nobels giving her glances but not kindly she saw her ex-friends she knew from school before she was banished they saw her to and they started whispering to each, what ever they were talking about was about her she didn't have to second guess that, she walked past them pretending she'd never seen them in her life and she was shure she heard 'how did a b**** like her get a pardon' she turned back to them feeling insluted "the law!" she spat at them and it seemed to stop them from talking as they ran away from her.

She moved a few branches down and when she got to her branch she went into the little hollowed tree that was now her home, she walked into her little home, she went into her kitchen and opened her mini fridge, it was empty expect for 2 bottles of wine but she was saving those for the festival tomorrow. she decided to lay down a waith for sleep to carry her away, she had to go to the market tomorrow and get some things but for now she was going to go bed with an empty stomach, then she realised the marked might not be open tomorrow since it was the festival and all but another day without food wasn't anything she couldn't handle.

Danni had waited long enouhg for the blacksmith to come back, so she decided to leave, she had other things to do so she left. When she got to the court it looked empty no it was empty, everyone had gone home, so she left as well. When she got home she looked at her mother she was looking through various dresses for her to wear in the festival tomorrow "what about these shoes and ...... this one!" her mother said picking up a black shoe with 'high' heels and a short balck dress. she looked at the outfit and shaked her head in disagreement,"I am not wearing thoese shoes mother they are way to high my legs will be sore by the time I get to the door if I haven't fallen over yet and that dress is to short do you really want your darling daughter to look desperate?" she said to her mother, she didn't really seem to mind that her daughter had refused to wear what she picked out, she'd been doing it since her other daughter died, but she didn't mind because she thought she was sticking up for her self "but Daniella you are desperate" her mother said to her "Mother you've arranged for me to be married and I'm still desperate?" she asked her mother she didn't like the fact she had brought the marriage up and with thinking she asked her mother "please call it off mother" but unfortunatly her mother had awnsered her question with a no and gone back to the pile of dresses she was looking at.

When Loki didn't answer him Jayson sighed.

'Look, i have to begin preparations on some very important weapons so if you would mind leaving, it would be greatly appreciated.' he said with a tired sigh, opening the door and ushering Loki out of the room. When he left he noticed that Dani had disappeared. He hoped her need wasn't too dire. Slowly he began to close up the workshop, wandering out to call for Michahael.

'Mick! I'm closing up! Don't be out too late!' The younger man simply nodded in response. Sighing again Jayson began work on the sword for Elle, hoping to have it finished before he had to turn in for the night.

"you have a choice Elle, if you choose not to marry me, I will tell my father and call it off... I dont want you forced into this, i want you to have some say in it..."

he sighed again, seeing that he almost sounded like he didnt want to marry her, of course this was all sudden, but he knew to suck up and accept it.

She nodded and looked him in the eye, a little embarresed "I'll give it a go though i may have found someone who can handle me, at my worst." she said, It was true Elle was a handfull when she was sick or grumpy, her students always knew when to stop joking, they had learnt their lesson. Elle like Damien he was nice and seemed strongly opnionated it matched her own personality very well. He had the same policy 'if you have somthing to say, say it to my face'

Damien smiled, seeing that they were in fact a great match for each-other

"... hey, when i was at the blacksmith earlier today, he asked why i'd want a sword... dont the male royalty still wear the ceremonial blades anymore? or has that been phased out?"

Elle shook her head, they still did "They do, but we haven't had a royal wedding in ages . . . I supose Jay forgot, you did go to the little blacksmiths right?" she asked him hopefully, everything there was better quality. She leaned over and picked up her bag, that was sitting in the corner and she pulled out a pair of pants and slid them on uder her dress, taking that of to reveal a singlet, she smiled happily "So much more comfortable."

Damien raised an eyebrow "looks comfortable too... yeah i did go to the small blacksmith in town, you were there remember?.. i was the tall guy who started browsing the second he got there"

he grinned, waiting to see if she recognized him.
