Under the Shadow of The Old Oak Tree (Rp)

Michahael shrugged. 'Well obviously. He's worked hard to build it to the success it is, particularly since our father died.' he said, trying not to be too sarcastic or offend him. He was just stating the point. His brother had spent his entire life trying to protect him from all his problems, so to have him being happy was a big deal to Michahael. 'Why, what are you thinking about?'

"Well how would your brother want an Upgrade for his entire business shop without ever having to move" he asked Just bursting to tell him the entire idea but wanted to say it in segments as he planned.

"wow, at least now that I know that you're not the type of guy I thought you were" Judith smiled and started stroking his hair gently, after a while she got of his lap "got to go now, you still up for tommorow?" she asked him.

Michahael raised an eyebrow. 'I don't quite understand what you mean.. i'm not exactly the most intelligent of people after wrestling with an assassin.' He said, shrugging. He wasn't sure where the prince was leading to.

Jonah sighed having a hard tome to believe he didn't get it yet. "I'm saying I will give you enough money so your brother could make his shop bigger, fully renovate the place and stock it with the best wielding equipment you can get here" he asked.

The plate arrived, a beautiful of thick, soft pasta and a small side plate with some crunchy toasted garlic bread to compliment it.

"thanks" said Damien as they put it down, he leaned back and smiled

"eat up then"

Damien's mind drifted back to the Evergolds, surely they weren't the only family not happy with this arranged marriage, almost every noble family with a single daughter of marrying age wanted her with Damien for political advance, as well as almost every female in exile so they can get them and their families back in, and none of them wanted him with a commoner, but Damien saw that Elle was a good girl, much better than some spoiled brat with expensive tastes, although the choice was made for him, he still had the option to refuse her and choose another, and if she had no real objections, he had made his choice.

Noah smirked adn said "Hmm, as long as a girl entertains me . . . " he trailed of and kissed her cheek "Of course, see you then" he said content, he leaned in for one more kiss before letting her go completely,

Elle smiled and placed a forkfull of pasta in her mouth and smiling as the flavors danced on her toungue.

"See ya then" Judith said after their kiss she then walked out the garden blowing him a kiss before she did, she walked into the streets and up a branch that was know to be where'd the best shops were she walked around looking at the shops, she saw a shop with a few dresses at the window she looked up at the sign on the shop it was called beautify yourself, it looked like it payed good so she went in. The shop looked classy but girly, she walked up to the counter "can I get a job here?" she asks the lady behind the counter she looked like a pink raccoon had died on her hair, she also had peircings all over her face "yeah" she said "can I get a form?" Judith said desperately trying not to look at her hair as she disappeared into a room and brought out a coples of papers and handed it to her "can I get a pen?" she asked and the girl gave her one, she filled out the form and asked her when she could come for an interview but awnser wasn't to her helping "tomorrow noon"she said, Judith look at her as if she was out of her mind "do you have any other times?" she asked the girl looked at her like what she asked to do wad to much trouble with her but enventully she walked into the room and she came out a minute later "six pm sharp, don't be late" she said "thanks a lot, see ya" Judith said as she walked out of the shop.

Cupcake looked at the doctor "did you hear about the atempted assassination at the castle?"

Michahael shrugged, flashing him a smile. 'That would be cool. I know he has a lot of stuff he's been meaning to do, so he'd like that a lot.' He said, his face breaking out into a smile. he loved his brother dearly and was glad that he was able to help him somehow.

"Well then it would probably mean more to you to give it to him then It would me" he said smiling back before turning to the side again calling for Sebastian who by instinct was already walking this way maybe a minute after he was requested. "Whenever Michaheal is ready to go home make sure he receives the money to give to his brother" he said before thinking of the risk of walking home with that much money and Get a small carriage ready for the both of us It would be fun to see around that part of the city anyway" Jonah replied happily.

Michahael almost dropped his gardening tools. 'What? No, you couldn't do that.. I mean.. it isn't safe..' He began to say, startled by the prince's words. The idea of being in the carriage with him was daunting enough, having to control his emotions around the young prince, but the thought that it was possible for the prince to be assassinated while with him was daunting. For he had no idea that they had already caught the people that had done that too Elle and tried to murder Damien. he hadn't heard anything of it since he had left the scene. He wondered if he could ask how Elle was, but didn't know if he was allowed.

Jonah was a little shocked on how quickly he shot down his idea with riding in the carriage to him. "Are people in your brothers neighborhood aggressive like that because I don't think that those other guys would try assassinating two of the royal family on the same day would they?" he asked now having to think about it. (Sorry Short post here)

Seeing he'd upset him, Mick shook his head. 'No.. I just don't wish to endanger you... Jonah..' He said the name with some difficulty, being used to calling him by his title. He flashed him a nervous smile, twisting the secatares between his fingers. 'I don't think I could live with the guilt if something were to happen with you.' He said sincerely, looking down slightly, a slight flush of pink flooding his cheeks.

"Ahhhhh" Jonah find himself sighing punching him lightly on the shoulder. "How About this I could find something less flashy to wear over this And you can take me around your neighborhood" he Requested finding himself grabbing on to one of Michaheals hands "Please" he requested again. Jonah had Never shown himself like this but He felt as if he could just act a little bit like a normal teenager or at least pretend.

Michahael felt the blood rush to his cheeks as Jonah grabbed his hand in both of his. It was an uncanny replication of the situation in the corridor, when Mick had been begging him for his affections. He swallowed dryly, his mouth as dry as if he'd been eating chalk. 'I.. okay.. If it doesn't matter much to anyone else, then it should be okay, right? I mean your sister walks around the city all the time.' He flashed him a smile and then frowned at his overalls. 'I'll need to change back into my own clothes though.. these are kinda uncomfortable. I'd never live it down if i were to go home in this.' He said, making a face.

Jonah smiled victorious letting go of him and giving him a quick hug letting go of him as Sebastian was still standing there to wait for anything needed to be done. "Could you go and get a common robe with a hood to put over this and Michacheals Washed clothes" he asked as he nodded walking in a direction to jonah's room. "Come on now" he told Michacheal quickly walking up the stairs.

~~Timeskip~~

Michahael sat awkwardly in the carriage, opposite Jonah. He tugged nervously on the sleeve of the shirt he had borrowed from one of the other servants, hiding his scarred wrists. He hadn't wanted to go home shirtless. Glancing up at the prince for a moment, he accidently caught his eyes and looked back down. He'd had to get changed in the prince's company and so was slightly embarrassed. 'So you've really never spent much time outside the castle?' He asked Jonah, not looking up.

Jonah never really noticed much at Michacheal's behavior as he looked at his clothes he was wearing. It was noting but the white he usually work and a tanish cloak over him which were both made of cheaper materials that was a little uncomfortable to him at first. "Not Without a Guard escort And that kind of made it obvious that I was the prince" he said flipping his hood up a bit which allowed only a little bit of his silk like blonde hair to poke out from underneath. "Do you think People are going o find me out easily" he asked as the carriage started moving towards the city which made Jonah look out the window with excitement.

Michahael smiled at him, sitting a little more relaxed in his chair. 'i don't think so. Just act like you belong and you should be fine. Besides, most people ignore me, so you should be perfectly fine. But we should probably ditch the carriage at some stage before we get there. You know, in case people get suspicious.' he said, reaching across the seat absently to tuck some of the blond hair under the hood, hid hand lingering longer than it should have.

"I guess your right about that" Jonah finally said thinking about what he suggested right before they were entering the city. Jonah was completely surprised at the fact that he was tucking his hair back into his hood. He still wasn't sure how he felt about it but thought he could make Mich a little bit more comfortable with touching him and leaned into his hands a little bit smiling as he his hand seemed to just stay there. "I guess we could get out here" Jonah said with a flush of red coming into his cheeks on his recent actions. He didn't really want Mich's hand to go away but they did need to go as he got out the carriage slowly just on the outside of town."So which way is which" he asked timidly, it seemed like now was his turn not to look Michacheal in the eyes as he waited for his response.

As Jonah leaned into his hand, Michahael felt his heart beat faster and the longing to kiss him grew stronger. He pulled away as the prince stepped out, wishing the contact wasn't broken but knowing they ought to get out. He followed the prince out, adjusting the t-shirt he wore as he stood, almost forgetting to duck his head as he climbed out. He remembered at the last moment and flashed Jonah a rueful grin. 'It's this way.' He took Jonah's hand absently, beginning to lead him towards the main trade district. 'I forgot to mention, we live like right near the smithy.. well technically.. behind it. It's part of the house in a sense.. ack..' He couldn't find the right words as he went red, dropping Jonah's hand nervously as he realised he was holding it. '..Sorry..' He said, blushing still as he made his way towards the street his house resided in.

Jonah Didn't mind Mich holding his hand as they went down the street ,I mean it was obvious he was just as excited as Jonah to take him around or so it seemed. Jonah smiled seeing his face go red again as he patted his shoulder soft; "I really don't mind holding hands once in a while if that's your thing" he responded with a reassuring smile as he glanced around at the places he hadn't even heard of most of the time. Jonah listened to his explanation of where they lived and tried to imagine it "There isn't a lot of smoke around though is there" he asked curiously.

'No, it's fairly evenly distributed.' he said, still fairly red. He tried to calm his frantic heartbeat, wondering just what to do in this situation. He really wanted to show Jonah the extent of his feelings, but he had rejected him before. What should have changed from earlier to let him do that now? He walked a little ahead, lost in thought. He didn't notice when a man crept up behind the prince and grabbed him, dragging him into an alleyway.

'Hello young one. you'll fetch a nice price on the market.' The man snarled into Jonah's ear. Of course he didn't know he was the prince. He'd just seen a young man, perfect for the slave market. He held a knife to the boy's throat as he spoke, his older features brown and wrinkled from working in the sun. He held a strong grip on Jonah, a sneer on his face as he called out to his friend. 'Come take a look at this one. He's bound to fetch a nice price.'

Jonah watched Mich talk for a little bit wondering on what he could be thinking of when he was suddenly grabbed behind and dragged into a nearby alleyway. Jonah's next reaction was to obviously yell for help in hope that someone would here but noticed the knife close on around his neck which made him change his way of thinking. Jonah winced at how tight he was holding him when he saw his friends approach them with the same sneer as the man currently holding him. "I guess this is i for me" he thought sadly giving up the tenseness he had with the man holding him which really did just make the mans grip hurt even more.
