Gah, that's right. Kaji's the main reason I wanted to run L5R, so I'd feel bad about scheduling such that he can't play. Maybe I can find someway to accommodate this

IIRC there were basically three overall classes, with each clan having a variation of each.
Bushi, Shugenja, and Courtier were the three basic classes. Scorpion also has ninja, IIRC, but ninja are HATED.

The PCs will be charged with defending a small border settlement against rival clans and other threats. XP rate will be increased from normal, as the PCs quickly become swept up in the larger war.
Coalitions: Phoenix-Crane; Mantis-Crab; Lion; Unicorn. Dragon is neutral due to dealing with internal corruption. Scorpion lacks any standing armies. Dragon and Scorption PCs may fight for any faction."
