She shrugged. "I'd love to know more about the plants. Both the healing properties and the dangers and everything else." She says. "So I guess then also a medical piece would be nice to know. Then maybe one way or another I could be useful here."

Kyle smiled at her and nodded, "That sounds like you really want to help." he stated as they got to the second floor and he led the way to the next set of stairs. "It's always good to have something to do when you are here, I think the mix would be good."

She nodded some. "That's what I'm hoping." She says gently. She couldn't help as she walked to be looking around constantly at everything. This place was oddly beautiful. She looked back to Kyle. It helped to have someone to talk to, it kept her mind off of things. "What other kinds of jobs are there?"

Kyle glanced at her and smiled, "Well, there a plenty of jobs if you know what you want. In this compound, though, there are just the ones that help with the war. Our kind have been protecting humans since they forced us to create this world. Everything kind of turned from there. Some believe we should have taken them and ruled of them and others know that what we are doing is the right thing. Humans weren't ready for us them and they are still not ready. When they are, we will live together again, but for now, we are content with their protection, as the only way we return home."

She listened curiously and then nodded her understanding. If that was the case there were limited things for her to do, and she wasn't even sure she could do any of them. She wanted to be able to help though.

Kyle smirked, "You know, it'll be good for you. To get into a few fields." he thought for a moment before he smiled at her, 'Tell you what, how about instead of making you pick, tonight at dinner we can start you into a task for tomorrow. You can spend some time with every field and pick which ones you like best. Mostly everyone was born and raised to do what they do, but I am sure you will fit in just fine."

She smiled appreciatively. "I would like that. Thank you Kyle." She says. She had almost forgotten about dinner. Or eating any meals while she was here for that matter. It was just one more thing to make this seem permanent and that wasn't a thought she was used to yet.

Kyle grinned, nodding, "I'll talk with my father and get you assigned days and times with someone to shadow. Everyone is really nice, so you should be okay." he assured her before they got the the third floor and he started to the right.

She smiled a little and nodded. "Thank you. Though I suppose it's fair to say I'm not so worried about anyone else as I am myself being the one to cause trouble." She warns gently and partially teasingly.

Kyle chuckled, "Well, that is the point of the leaders right? To fix problems." he smiled as he stopped at a door with her father's name on it. It was wooden and plane for the most part, the door handle was gone and Kyle just pushed it open after he used his finger to make a symbol on the door. It opened and he smiled at her, "All rooms are enchanted, so owner makes a pass code and that is the only way in. Helps when you want to be alone. Don't worry, this door's code is known to me and my father only." he assured her, before walking in the bed across from the door and it looked bigger then it seemed outside, by how close the doors around it were to it. There was weapons around the room, mostly on the walls and some on the floor. Kyle nervously chuckled, "Sorry about the mess, it was cleaned but it's pretty much like any young man's room would be." The desk on the side of the door had a few papers and books, a couple of books were on the bed with some clothes and the closet was closed. Kyle stopped and looked around, a pair of shoes were under the bed, he smirked. He looked at her, "You'll probably fine some info on your dad in his journal if you can find it. Warriors all have them, it helps them deal with everything so it's required and to hid it is kind of an instinct, so good luck finding it. Some have them on the floor, under loose boards or in secret wall entrances, but they can be a little hard to find. If you do though, don't tell anyone what you read, he might be gone, but it's respectful to keep the troublemaker's thoughts to yourself. He was still a great warrior." He sighed, sadden at the thought of Nicoli being gone. "I will let you know when everything is set for burial and if you read about his crush on your mother." he smirked, "You can talk about that, I figured that he fall in love with her and spilled it all over his journal, since he practically shouted it out in the halls." he chuckled, "Not to really, he just talked a lot about her."

She couldn't help laughing some at that. "Well, I can't wait to find it." She says with a smile. Even if the room had been cleaned out and her father had been gone for years it still smelled like him. She bit her lip and then looked to Kyle. "Thank you for bringing me here." She says quietly. She looked back around the room and couldn't help as she started to look around. She found herself drawn to a shirt lying on the bed. She went to it and picked it up, it still smelled of her father as well and as a result she couldn't control the tears anymore. She didn't care that Kyle was still there, she buried her face in the shirt and began to cry.

Kyle smiled at her sympathetically, but he had no idea what to do. "I'm going.....to...hmmm......yeah." he said before he left her alone and closed the door. He had never been good with others crying, he couldn't help that. He thought of calling his father, but thought that she might wnat to be alone instead of having someone watch her as she broke down.

She felt bad but she was grateful when he left. She found herself sinking to her knees and just sobbing for a good long while.

After er quite some time had passed she felt in control enough of herself that she could be around other people. Though instead she began to look for her father's journal. There was no point having to be around anyone if she didn't have to yet.

when he got back to his room, he stopped and looked back, there was a noise in the room in front of his. Emery knew that there was no one in that room, it was Nocoli's room and that was not going to last as long as they found someone as good as him. He sighed, wondering if they were emptying it already.

Rowan searched a little longer and then smiled triumphantly when she did find her father's journal. She knew him better than anyone when it came to stuff like that. Though she realized maybe not so much other things. She held the journal close to her and moved to leave the room. She opened the door but then paused. If she left she may not be able to get back in. She sighed, about to go back in the room but then pausing when she saw someone out of the corner of her eye. When she looked up she still seeing that it was Emery.

emery was just about to go in his room when he stopped, feeling someone looking at him, he turned around and he saw her. He sighed, "I should have know it was you in there." he stated, annoyed and rolling his eyes. "What are you doing in there, you know they are going to get rid of that room right?" he asked. "What are you even doing on this floor?"

She clenched her jaw, tempted to just go back in the room and slam the door shut for good measure. "It belonged to my father as im

sure you're well aware." She snaps. "I'm staying here just tonight until they can find somewhere else to put me, it was Kyle's idea." She adds. She was still trying to keep herself from just going back in the room and slamming the door. She did not much care for Emery. Not right now at least.

emery sighed, rolling his eyes, "Whatever, just don't get comfortable, last thing I need is to babysit you all day." he sighed, before he got into his room, "Good night." he said before he closed his door.

"Goodnight." She grumbles before shutting her door harder than she meant. She was not fond of him and she hoped she wouldn't have to see him much.

Emery sighed as he laid on his bed and looked up hoping he wouldn't have to deal with her that much. Last thing his family would understand is him being put on babysitting duty. He turned over after about an hour and closed his eyes, he needed to sleep and he knew that tomorrow he would be on eof those people whole found out what was going to happen with Rowan.

After a few more hours of just staring at her father's journal. She wanted to read it but she was afraid to. But now it was time for her to meet with people again. She sighed, not wanting to leave but then doing so any way.

When morning came Emery was the first one in the training felt with Adam and Sarah. Hector stopped by after a while and smirked as he watched, as more warriors came train.

That night Rowan had hardly slept at all. Her sleep was plagued by nightmares and she was done trying to sleep by the early hours of the morning. She finally got up and went to find Hector. She didn't know what to do with herself.

Hector called everyone to attention and announced a few news updates on the warm before he called Emery and Adam with him. The walked down the hall without a word, Adam grinning like an idiot with thoughts in his mind as to what they would be doing.

It was purely by luck that Rowan found Hector at all. And that was because she had been busy gawking at the architecture of the building while walking. Promptly running straight into Emery in the process. Just great, that was exactly what she needed right now.
