Hector smirked, as they got to the exit he stopped and patted Nicoli's shoulder, "And that is why I am glad you got strong enough to beat Garrett. Also why I want you to mentor this boy. His name is Eric, he is 10 going on 11 and knows all the traditions."

Nicoli looked to him a little surprised. There were a couple of very traditional families. "Eric huh? Well I'm honored to be the one to take the kid out with me to mentor him...Garrett doesn't know I'm the one in charge of his child does he?" He asked. Garrett was not fond of him, for many reasons. And though he'd never admit it there had been a time he looked up to Garrett. It was just the anger that stopped some of his admiration.

 

[Matreania]

Hector smirked, "It's his nephew and no, he doesn't. He will find out when you return, but by then I should have a mission set for him, as well." He assured him.

 

[FangAndOzy]

Nicoli smiled broadly. "Good, is like to live past this mission." He teased. He looked towards the portal they'd be going through soon and then back to Hector, more serious this time. "I'll keep an eye on all of them. This mission shouldn't be too bad, but no matter what they will all make it back here." He assured Hector.

 

[Matreania]

Hector smirked, "All of you need to return. I have no intention of letting either of you be left behind. If you need help, call for it. I have a backup team ready to help."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Nicoli grinned and nodded. "Sounds good to me. We shouldn't be gone long." He said as if to assure Hector. He smiled more and then turned and walked over to where his team was waiting. "Alright then, let's get this show rolling! We've got a few extra members." He said to the group, he looked to the youngest member that had to be Eric. "You my friend, are to stick with me got it?" Then he looked to Kyle. "You're here to learn as I understand it, if something were to go wrong for some reason, you and Eric are to make sure you get back here safely." He was being serious, but there was something in his expression that remained easy going. "Any questions can be asked at any time but as your group leader I expect all of you to listen to what I have to say and do as I ask." He finished. He was good at what he did it was why he was where he was at such a young age. He always made it his priority to protect his teams and then to get the job done. He smiled once more and then stepped through the open portal, intentionally not leaving room from any possible arguments that could come from Kyle or Eric.

Hector smirked, as Eric looked confused, but had no time for actual questions. Roland and Kyle sighed, as they went through, Eric braced himself and followed, knowing protocol was for the team to go first. But Nicoli was already through, Julia and Kevin smirked to Hector before walking through after them.

On the other side, Kyle stopped Nicoli, "Hey, what do you mean I'm here for learning. I'm your only Psy, that means I am supposed to advise you."

Roland sighed, "Personal, either way, I want to get through this to get back to my kids."

Julia smirked, "Pretty sure your kids can stand to be away from you for a bit." She chuckled with Kevin.

Eric frowned, "We have to make contact, why is everyone acting like children. We have a mission, the mission comes first."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Nicoli chuckled some and then smiled even more when he looked to Eric. That explained a lot. "We will get to the mission. We're already getting to it. Come on kiddo you're going to see how one of the best teams around does things." He said. Weather it was true or not didn't matter to him, they would get the job done and that was what was important. Then He looked to Kyle. "You're my Psy but I think it might be good if you observe Roland too." He explained.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle eyed him, "Erza chased you down after all, huh?" he questioned, then smirked. He didn't want her to do it, but he wasn't going to lie, he liked the idea.

 

[FangAndOzy]

Nicoli smirked and nodded. "She did. And I think it is a good idea...so long as you don't mind." He added playfully, already knowing the answer. "Come on, we should get a move on if everyone is ready."

 

[Matreania]

Kyle sighed, "I feel like you two like to push me around, sometimes." he teased back as he nodded, the others agreed.

Eric sighed, "Finally." he announced as he started towards the tower.

Nicoli chuckled. "It's what we do." He teased Kyle and then he looked to Eric. "Hey, being mission focused is okay, but you have to enjoy the moments like these too okay? Missions can go horribly wrong. We don't plan for it but they do. So take every moment you're given." He said gently, being more serious this time. He smiled a little and placed a hand on Eric's shoulder as they walked forward.

Eric looked at him suspiciously, "You you follow protocol, the outcome improves by 56%." he pointed out.

Kyle sighed, as he walked beside Nicoli, "Don't worry, I'm sure he'll understand."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Nicoli smirked a little. "You'll see kiddo." Nicoli assured Eric, looking to Kyle and then the others on his team. "Lets go. Keep your guard up follow the plan." He said, he was more serious now.

 

[Matreania]

They all moved, looking around as Kyle sighed, looking to his notebook, that he took out of his side bag, "This tower is basically a mix of a lot of different creatures and beings, so don't be surprised if you meet a different race. Stay away from the blue spiky ones, they like to fight and will pick a fight with anyone that they think is a leader."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Nicoli nodded, opting to keep his comment to himself this time around. "Are there any others we need to be wary of or who might try to stop us?" He asked.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle sighed, looking over his notes, "Not really, but you might want to avoid using the word Dude, apparently it is a cultural insult for creatures that almost look human."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Nicoli couldn't help laughing some at that. "I'm glad that 'dude' is not commonly in my vocabulary then." He said.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle looked at him and smirked, "No, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't warn you on the topic."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Nicoli grinned. "The warning is of course appreciated." He said. He stopped suddenly then. It was a sensation more than anything else but something was moving and close by too. He just wasn't sure yet if it was a threat or if it was coming towards them.

 

[Matreania]

Eric sighed, as he listened, "All information that should have been stated before we arrived."

Kyle glanced at Eric, "Yes, but then we wouldn't have anything to talk about." then he noticed Nicoli, "Right, Nic?" he knew something was up and wanted to be sure. Which was why he used Nic instead of his name. A way that Nicoli know he was asking about their being danger and not so much agreeing.

Nicoli was more serious than he had been. "Stay quiet and listen..." He said barely above a whisper. It was coming closer, and he couldn't tell if it was malevolent or not.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle did as he was told, as did they all, Eric looked around before he looked to his right as an arrow flow, "Arrow!" he shouted before a mass of them started.

Nicoli dove forward to push Eric out of the way, getting nicked but he ignored it. "Defensive motions!" He called out.

Julia and Kevin surround Roland and Kyle, Julia glanced to Kevin, "I'm going to cover you, go."

Kevin looked concerned, "Be careful."

Julia smirked, "I promised in a few months right? I would never break it, especially to a man I love."

"He is turning 5, not a man yet." he teased, but motioned Kyle and Roland to follow him as they made a run for the tower.

Julia looked up at the arrows and caught a few, before tossing them back with enough force to land perfectly. She glanced at Nicoli, "Run."
