Fantasy Two Worlds Collide

[FangAndOzy]

Once through the portal Rowan found herself in an uninhabitable land. Everything here was dead and she wasn't so sure it was a god idea for her to be here long. Something about the air felt wrong. It was why she chose this place though, it was unlikely anyone would come here and if they did they couldn't be here long enough to search for the weapons. She got them where they needed to be and then went back to her portal before she was here too long. 

 

[Matreania]

Caleb waited for her outside and sighed, looking around as he made sure no one tried to get in. It was a strange feeling being at the entrance, but he didn't show any sign of actually noticing."

 

[FangAndOzy]

When Rowan finally stepped through again she found herself taking a deep breath of the fresh air. She looked around and when she saw Caleb she was relieved that it had actually worked. "Is everything okay on this end?" She asks carefully 

 

[Matreania]

Caleb looked at her and nodded, "We are clear, but the ground is a little edgy." He said wrapping his arm around her waist, "Stay calm and don't freak out. This has to be perfect."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Of course at his words, Rowan felt her heart rate pick up and she felt like she was shaking a little. She looked over to Caleb, grateful for his support right now. "I'll follow your lead." She says. 

 

[Matreania]

Caleb held on to her tight,before he launched them up to a tree branch and less then a second later he was jumping from branch to branch. He controlled the weight of their landing and the jump as he held on to her.

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan resisted the urge to squeeze her eyes shut. She did however hold on to him as tightly as she dared as they leapt from branch to branch. She could not fathom how he was able to do this but it was both thrilling and frightening. 

 

[Matreania]

Caleb managed to get back from the danger zone, as Adam and Kyle were panting heavily, Kyle sat against a tree with his wife beside him, bleeding. She was alive at least, but the wound she had to her side was something she wouldn't survive from, for very long. Adam was on the ground, he wasn't sure how many he had been against but looking around, he felt a little lost as to which he had faced in the first place.

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan looked around wide eyed. She wasn't disgusted by what she saw but rather suddenly very worried for Kyle and Adam. When she and Caleb were safely on the ground she thanked him and then moved to the other two. "Are either of you hurt?" She asks. 

 

[Matreania]

Kyle looked tired and weak as he held his wife, "We need to get back."


Adam sighed deeply and nodded, "Yeah and not just to save her." He pointed out,"I'm in the mood for a brown milk shaved ice right now."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Had the mood been different Rowan probably would have laughed. Their terms were so different. But right now all she did was give a small smile and nod. Looking worriedly to Kyle's wife. She didn't care for her but she was sure Kyle still loved her. "Can we just take one of the portals back?" She asks. Still not entirely clear on how they worked. 

 

[Matreania]

Kyle sighed his thought were unclear to really know what she meant, but Adam did. "Not here, it is too close. We can go about a mile or two east and open a portal, but it will take all three of us."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan nodded, while that would be difficult it was still better than having to make the entire trip the way they'd come. "Adam can you help with her?" She asks gently, moving to see how she could help Kyle who her worry was growing for. 

 

[Matreania]

Kyle shook his head before Adam could answer, "I got her." he assured them, he lifted his wife up as she curled against him, almost by instinct and it made a sadness small smile appear on his lips as he held her closely and kissed her forehead.


Caleb nodded, as Adam sighed, "Come on, I think I know the spot we can do it." he told them before he started to lead them.

Rowan nodded and moved to follow Caleb. She glanced to Kyle worriedly and then to Adam. Asking with her eyes if he thought Kyle would be alright. 

 

[Matreania]

Adam gave her a small smile, as Kyle's focus was on his wife. Caleb didn't pay any attention to anything but where they were going to to stop to get back.

 

[FangAndOzy]

She smiled back and then followed silently. They stayed like that until they reached the area Caleb talked about. 

 

[Matreania]

Caleb stopped and so did Adam, Adam looked at Rowan, "Are you ready?"

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan looked between them and then nodded a little hesitatingly. She had to be ready. 

 

[Matreania]

Adam nodded as he took her by her shoulder and positioned her, then stood beside her, Caleb closing the triangle between them, "Okay, just do what we do and focus. I would guide you if I could, but it's a little too powerful for me to do that."

 

[FangAndOzy]

She felt a rush of nervousness but nodded. "I think I can manage copying what you two do." She says with a small smile. Watching both of them to see what they did. 

 

[Matreania]

Adam nodded as Caleb raised his arms and so did Adam, they took deep breath and closed their eyes as they lowered their head. A rush of energy bursted from them as they focused, "Focus on home."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan watched them a moment longer and then followed their example. Doing as Adam said and think of the place that was her new home. 

 

[Matreania]

It didn't take long for the portal to flash in and out, Adam reached for Rowan's hand to boost her output, even though it was weakening him. Her power was new to her, he was sure that when she learned enough she would be fine, but they didn't have that kind of time. Instead, was helping her until the portal was open, he pulled back, falling to his knee, Caleb looked at him, but he just smirked at Kyle, "Go." he told him. Kyle hesitated but went through, Caleb following after him.

 

[FangAndOzy]

"Adam," Rowan said in surprise as he fell to his knees. Once the others were through she moved to him. "Here." She says gently, reaching for him to help how she could.
