Fantasy Two Worlds Collide

[Matreania]

Brandon took Eric on a lot more successful compared to Emery. But while he was free, Emery jumped up to free the others, it just turned into one big fight. He rushed tossed a blade a the man behind Rowan, hitting him in the head before he rushed towards her. "Come on." he said as he ran towards her looking back at his brother.

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan quickly moved to him, and following his gaze, placed her hand on his back to get him to continue forward. She was sure she would regret that, but given the circumstances, she knew Emery couldn't be near his brother right now.

 

[Matreania]

Emery looked at her, taking her arm, "Come on." he said again as he led her away from the fighting, the few that tried to stop him were easy to kill, Emery didn't need to worry about them.

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan glanced back to everyone else one last time, hoping they would be okay, before turning her attention and following Emery. She was fast, but even so he was hard to keep up with. She was glad he was holding onto her arm when she stumbled, and then managed to get her footing to follow him away from the fighting.

 

[Matreania]

Emery stopped when they reached a cliff, "Damn it." he said looking back before Caleb jumped down, "Where have you been?"


"Working." he said, before handing Rowan a necklace, "From Shannon, it'll help you keep out of danger. Now, jump."


"What?" Emery protested.


Caleb looked at Emery, "She is the leader because she is the key to the mission. They can't follow you if you jump, so jump."


Emery sighed, letting go of her arm, "And the others?"


"I took Shannon to a cave, she'll help us find you. For now, they are holding them off but not for long."

 

[FangAndOzy]

She took the necklace from Caleb and put it around her neck, then looked over the edge of the cliff again as he spoke with Emery. She bit her lip and then looked back to them, backing up towards the edge, stopping only when another step would send her over. "Thank you Caleb. They will be okay won't they?" She asks.

 

[Matreania]

Caleb nodded, "we will meet you at the waterfall.." he told her, before he pushed her over the cliff. Emery was surprised, jumping off after her.

Rowan was not surprised. She felt like her stomach was in her throat was she free fell and it took everything in her to try to keep herself calm. She squeezed her eyes shut a moment and then looked over to Emery, her heart racing. She wasn't actually sure what to do at this point.

 

[Matreania]

Emery free fall after her, narrowing his body just enough so he fall faster before they were half way down, he wrapped his arms around her and shielded her, his head over her as he held her against his chest. They hit the ground hard, but all the force hit him instead of her, he eased it a little but hitting the ground on his back he had to let her go from the pain of his ribs fracturing one after the other.

She clutched his shirt as he wrapped his arms around her, burying her face against his chest. Thr sickening thud that sounded when they landed sent chills through her. She quickly got off of him and moved to his side to examine the damage. She didn't know what to do though. She felt magic itching to come out of her, but she didn't know if it would harm or hurt him. "I wish you hand't had to do that." She whispers as she lifted her hands to assess the damage done.

 

[Matreania]

Emery clenched his jaw from the pain as he started to get up, "We have to keep moving." he said weakly, looking up, "You wouldn't have survived the fall." he struggled to get to his feet and breath at the same time, it hurt to do both but he fought through the pain, "We have to go."

 

[FangAndOzy]

"Not like this. Let me help you, there has to be something I can do to help you." She says. She didn't care what he thought or that he wanted to try, for some reason it hurt her to see him in pain...because of her.

 

[Matreania]

Emery glared at her, "No, we have to get moving before someone comes." he told her, taking her hand and pulling her along, walking and breathing was painful,but it was what had to be done, he needed to get to the cover of trees.

 

[FangAndOzy]

She gripped his hand as tightly as she dared, following him and wishing she could offer him support. A small voice at the back of her mind whispered that she could. "Do we have healing magic?" She asks him as they moved. She was sure walking, breathing, and talking was painful. But she was worried about him.

 

[Matreania]

Emery took a painful deep breath before he said, "Yes, but full healing is forbidden magic."

 

[FangAndOzy]

"Why?" She asks. If she could do it, then maybe she could help him. She didn't know much about these kinds of injuries, but she was pretty sure that if his went untreated it could be fatal for him.

 

[Matreania]

emery sighed, "Because the only healing taught is to transfer the wound, no one has yet to master the power to completely heal without that side effect."

 

[FangAndOzy]

"So if I were to try, I would just transfer your wound...to me?" She asks. She would do it, at least half of it, if she had to. Or to transfer it somewhere else, if only to help him.

 

[Matreania]

Emery nodded, "That's the only way to do it. Spies learn to do it to split the wound, but that it harder to master than just transferring."

 

[FangAndOzy]

She bit her lip and nodded. "When we're under cover of the woods we're stopping. I need to see how badly you were hurt." She says gently.

 

[Matreania]

Emery glared at her, "For what you have no idea what you are doing? I just need to reach the river, Caleb and Kyle will know what to do."

 

[FangAndOzy]

She clenched her jaw, but kept her mouth shut after that. She knew there was no point trying to argue with him. To let him know how worried she was about him. She sighed some and instead focused on where they were going. From what she remembered on the map, the waterfall shouldn't be far.

 

[Matreania]

Emery followed his instincts through the pain and kept any eye out for anything that could be dangerous.

It took too long to get to the waterfall, but they were finally reaching it. Rowan looked around for Caleb and Kyle and bit her lip a little before looking to Emery. "How are you feeling?" She asks. 

 

[Matreania]

Emery glared at her, "Like I landed on my ribs." he snapped, Kyle coming towards them.


"Hey." Kyle sighed, with a smile, then frowned looking at Emery, "What happened to you?"


"Caleb." he growled, before Kyle caught him before he stumbled, the pain had gotten too much for him by now, as he fell unconscious.


"Woooo." Kyle said,as he eased Emery to the ground and sighed, "His ribs." he confirmed with Rowan, noticing how wrong they felt when he caught him.
