Fantasy Two Worlds Collide

Rowan hadn't noticed that Caleb left until she just happened to look back. She raised an eyebrow in curiosity but said nothing. She had told him to come and go as he needed. She would just have to be extra careful. But she did trust him, it was a feeling and nothing more, but something told her to trust the feeling. 

 

[Matreania]

Kyle stopped as he looked around, Adam and Emery moved passed Shannon, "Wat's going on?" Shannon asked, looking around.


"Someone is around here." Kyle stated, "Watching."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan felt herself tense and then she moved closer to Shannon. "Are they a threat do you think?" She asks. She felt a little better having Shannon here if only because she might be a little more like her. 

 

[Matreania]

Adam pulled his weapons out and so did Emery, handing Kyle a pair of daggers "Probably." Kyle answered as he motioned them to follow him, "Just stay between us."


"I told you Caleb couldn't be trusted." Shannon whispered.

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan glanced over to her. "And if it's not Caleb?" She asks with a raised eyebrow as she did as Kyle instructed. 

 

[Matreania]

Shannon shook her head, "It has to be." 


Kyle sighed, shaking his head, "We wouldn't feel Caleb coming, these are warriors."


Emery nodded "Not very good ones, but good enough."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan looked to her curiously. She then returned her attention forward to what was around them. She felt nervous and yet a little excited at the same time. It was a nervous excitement. 

 

[Matreania]

Emery stopped, as did Kyle and Adam, he looked around, "We should move faster." he said and the other two agreed.

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan glanced to Shannon one more time before she moved to go with the others. Wanting to be moving quickly. Wanting to be out of this spot which suddenly made her feel like they were cornered. Even if they weren't. 

 

[Matreania]

Shannon followed in a panic and stopped as she bumped into Rowan, "Sorry." she whispered

 

[FangAndOzy]

"Shh, it's okay." Rowan says gently. Reaching for Shannon's hand in hope to help calm her some. She was scared and nervous and yet she didn't feel panicked. 

 

[Matreania]

Shannon stayed close by, as they walked, following Kyle's lead. She want to look around but she was afraid od what she would see,so she didn't. This wasn't what she did, she didn't deal with all of this and she didn't want to.

Rowan felt a little bad for asking shannon to be a part of this as she watched how nervous she seemed to be. But at the same time it made her feel better. Even if this wasn't what she did she knew more than Rowan, it still made her feel less like a complete outsider among the group. 

 

[Matreania]

Shannon bite her lip when they stopped and she looked around, jumping when a body fall beside her and then Caleb landed, "We have company." he stated.


"The enemy?" Emery asked. 


Caleb nodded, "They are covered, but there are only seven of them." then Caleb looked down at the body between Shannon, who coward beside Rowan and back up. "Make that five. But I have a feeling they aren't stupid."


"You think they have a Spy?" Kyle asked.


Caleb nodded, "It'll take me some time to catch him, or her. So for now, you are on your own."


Adam nodded, "We can handle them, just make sure they don't have more then one of you out there."


Caleb smirked slightly, turning to Rowan, "Of course, it's your call. But I doubt you object."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan stared at the body a moment, startled when it had first dropped. She was only half listening and then she tore her eyes away from the body and looked to the others. When Caleb addressed her she couldn't help returning his smirk with one of her own. "Not at all. I trust you can make it back in one piece and that this won't be too much of an issue for you." She says, her smirk turning into more of a small smile. 

 

[Matreania]

Caleb nodded, "I will meet you when I finish, it'll be fun." he said, it had been so long since he meet another soy, even it that was how it was supposed to go, spy's had skill that even warriors didn't, it amused him when he got to face that skill.

 

[FangAndOzy]

She couldn't help laughing softly. "Very well, go have fun." She says, motioning for him to go. She had not expected a response from him, especially not one like that and she was pleasantly surprised by it, despite everything going on now.

 

[Matreania]

Caleb vanished into the trees again at her response. Kyle smirked, "Spys are just odd sometimes."

 

[FangAndOzy]

"It was oddly amusing." She says with a shrug and smirk of her own as she looked to Kyle, but then her smile faltered a little. "Are there more near by? I mean more of a threat or was it jus thte one spy do you think?"

 

[Matreania]

Kyle sighed  but Adam spoke, "We are clear for the moment, but they will track us when this one doesn't report in."


Kyle nodded, "Right, and there are five of them." He turned to Brandon, "Did you bring anything?"


Brandon looked at them all and shrugged, "I'll call it when I need it, I'm a Law now, I don't carry it."

 

[FangAndOzy]

She looked to Adam and nodded in understanding then to Brandon with a little bit of curiosity, though she didn't question what they meant. Not yet at least. Instead she looked forward to Adam and Emery. "Then I suppose we should keep moving?" She half asks. 

 

[Matreania]

They nodded as Shannon spoke, "Definitely, the sooner we move, the sooner we are done and I can go back to my lab."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan couldn't help smiling a little as she looked over to her. "We'll be done before you know it." She promises her. Truth was once they reached the end point she wanted to send everyone back except for whoever stayed with her. 

 

[Matreania]

Shannon sighed, "Not soon enough." Shr said, noticing Brandon's gaze wondering. She leaned towards Rowan, "Are you sure he was a good idea? He hasn't really been himself since Eric. They we're best friends you know. They went every mission together, except that one  time."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan looked to her, biting her lip a little, but then she nodded slightly. "I know. I hadn't been sure at first." She shrugged. "But believe me when I say I chose all of you for a reason." She says, motioning for Shannon to follow as they continued moving.
