Fantasy Two Worlds Collide

She struggled against him more as he picked her up but then relaized it wouldn't do her any good. Drowning in anger, frustration, and sadness she glanced to him. "Put me down." She says firmly. "I'm done, it'll be easier if you put me down."

Emery ignored her as he moved, it would be easier, but he was told to protect her, he had to take her to the compound. He moved through and alley before he stopped placing her down as he reached into his pocket to take out a pill and break it. When he did, he tossed it and a portal opened, "Go in." he told her.

She hesitated and then looked to him and then the portal. "Fuck...when they told me I was crazy I hoped it wasn't true." She mutters. Hesitating only a brief second more before stepping through the portal.

 

[Matreania]

Emery started towards the portal after her, he was nicked by a dagger and fall through as the portal closed. When they reached the other side, eh groaned, holding his shoulder from the pain, before he took a deep breath and pushed it out. Looking at Rowan, "Come on." he said, as he started to go through the front gates. the Castle was large dark and old, the iron gates were height and heavy, with a symbol on the door that separated when the doors opened.

She looked to him worriedly when he groaned, seeing the blood from where he'd been hit. "Are you alright?" She asks as they began to walk. She looked to the castle and frowned slightly. What was this place?

Emery sighed, "I'm fine, come on." he said as he led the way through the front door and into the main hall, where he met with a girl, she looked at him like he had done this to himself, "Really, Em?" she snapped.


"Yeah, yeah, well, Nicoli isn't coming. Amelia got to him first, kind of." Emery stated, "But this is his daughter." he motioned to Rowan, then motioned to the girl, "This is a friend, she'll show you around and explain I need to get this checked." he told her before leaving her with the girl.


She smiled at her, "So, what's your name?"

Rowan raised an eyebrow as she watched Emery go and then looked to the girl. "Rowan. What's yours?" She asks. She was still Processing everything she had just seen and she knew she was in a little bit of shock. A part of her even wondered if any of this was real or just a hallucination. She didn't really know what to believe.

Sarah smiled at her, "Sarah." she motioned Rowan to follow her. "So, Nicoli's daughter? You must be really good with a sword then. Your father is a legend around here." she smiled, "I heard, he summoned four demons in the attack of Hellsworth, which is impressive enough but to take on a whole army." she chuckled, "God, what I wouldn't give to have been there. But I wasn't born until years later. That'll be Emery at this rate. Of course, if he stop using himself as a shield, he might make it that far."

Rowan watched her with disbelief. "My father?" She asks with a slight laugh. "Never touched a weapon in his life. He had those silly decorative swords all over his study, at least the one time I was allowed in, but I never saw him pick one up." She says quietly. She was trying to be nice. This girl was being very nice to her. She bit her lip. "This is all actually real right? I am actually seeing all of this? In my world they always told me I was hallucinating, I'm still not sure that I'm not." She adds just as quiet.

Sarah stopped and looked at her, "Seriously?" she asked in disbelieve, "So, you never say him fight or anything like that?" she aske. She sighed after a moment, "Shadows. Humans call us Shadows, some can see us and think we are ghosts, others only see us at the corner of their eye. But yeah, this is completely real. We exist in a lot of worlds, but the human world was our home once, then the humans decided thy had enough of sharing."

Rowan frowned some. "That's horrible. But to me you're more than ghosts. I can see and sense you like I can any other person." She says. She bit her lip. "So he was a fighter huh? I bet he was amazing, he was always graceful." She says.

Sarah smiled, nodding, "Oh yeah, he was awesome, from what I hear. The best of his generation and someone that you could really follow. I mean, I wasn't born until a year before he left, but I'm pretty sure he would have had a lot more fans if he had stayed." she looked around "Hmm, so this is the Shadow Castle, there are seven Shadow Castles, each leading to different worlds. This one is the earth Castle, in other words." as they walked they could see a lot of people moving around, doing something, "It's always busy, but since some of the soldiers have decided to try and kill off the humans, we have been way more busier than normal to stop them."

Rowan just nodded some. She was having trouble processing everything and as a result she was just kind of taking it in. She was sure later tonight was when it would hit her and she wasn't looking forward to that. She knew she would be a mess. "Does everyone here fight?" She asks.

Sarah smiled, "Well, not exactly. There are people that are healers and fighters, but only enough to keep themselves alive, nothing like what Emery and I can do."

She nodded. "How do you learn? You have to start young?" She asks. She figured if she was here she would ask what she could and figure out what she could.

 

[Matreania]

Sarah nodded, "Yeah,most like Emery are raised to fight as little kids. I was an orphan so I had to prove I could be a warrior." She said as they walked.

"Can I learn? Would I be able to?" She asks. She was just curious. She just hoped that she would be able to go home and go back to her normal life.

 

[Matreania]

Sarah shrugged, "Not sure, it's never happened before. You could always ask the commander, when he comes back?"

She nodded. "What's going to happen now? You'd probably rather not having to babysit me." She says with a faint smile. Everything was starting to sink in now and she wasn't so sure she'd be able to hold herself together much longer.

Sarah smiled, shrugging, "It's fine. Better then preparing the weapons, honestly. So what do you want to do? We can do something that you like, if you want?"

She bit her lip. "I like to draw. I'm kind of good at it actually." She adds. She shrugged. "Um...im good at making things too I guess." She adds. She sighed. "I don't know. What are they going to do with me when it's time for you guys to rest?"

Sarah smiled as she nodded,"Okay, I think we can find something to do then." she said and before she could get anything else out a boy was jumping in front of them.


"Hey, Sarah, are you busy." he said, then glanced at Rowan, "Wow, who is the girl? What's her skill? Which Castle is she from?"


Sarah sighed, rolling her eyes, "You don't have to talk like she 's not here."


"Yeah, yeah, sorry." he said looking at Sarah then smiling at Rowan, "So, where are you from?"

Rowan raised an eyebrow and then sighed. "The human world." She mutters. "Who are you?" She asks. Wondering who the boy may be.

Sarah sighed, "This is Adam."


Adam smirked, "Hey." he said, "You know if you need a place to sleep I have a lot of room in my room." he winked, "Or not so much room, how every you want it." he smiled.


Sarah sighed, taking Rowan's hand, "Emery is in the infirmary, why don't you tell him that we are going to the greenhouse." she told him before pulling Rowan to follow her. Adam frowned a little as he watched them pass him by.
