Hector looked up and smirked as Kyle sat at the chair in front of his desk. They had a weapon on the desk and a chair next to Kyle, Hector motioned to, "Please seat." he told her, "I wanted to explain a few things related to the understanding of your father leaving us and these weapons that you risked your life for."

She returned Kyle's smile as she stepped forward to take a seat. "The risking lives part was all Emery and Adam." She points out. "But I am curious nonetheless." She adds with a faint smile. There was so much she wanted to understand and this was a start.

Hector smirked at her humble reaction before he nodded, "No shadow is allowed to mix with a human. Your father's union with your mother was something that normally would have been banned. Your father knew this when he came to me and unlike everyone else, he also knew something only Kyle and I did when he left me. I gave your father the choice to leave and be happy, while keeping guard of what was most powerful for us or to stay and fight. He loved your mother and decided that he would do as asked, which is when he took these weapons. War had started only two years ago, but nearly twenty years ago, I knew it was coming. I knew that when everything was settled that we would be facing war in a few decades. So I had your father take the weapons with him, to be safe. When war started the weapons were the first to be looked for and when they found out that they were not here, the war began without them, in search for them."

She frowned a little as she processed what he was saying. She understood the type of sacrifice her father made. "What's so special about these ones compared to all the others? And why ask my father? Because he was going to the human world?" She asks.

Hector smirked, "I asked him, because he wanted to go where he wouldn't never be able to, without these weapons. He was the best of his generation, his family was much like Emery's and he hated to be so restricted. He didn't want to be the bets, he wanted to be a teenager and this was the best way that I could allow it. If he hadn't asked when he did, I don't know how soon the war would have started but I don't know if we would have been able to keep the weapons safe. Shadow Weapons are not like the weapons that where created for warriors. Shadow Weapons have the powers of a shadow and allow the user to be visible to humans, able to kill them on their own plane and erase that human's existence completely."

She couldn't help smiling ever so slightly as he spoke about her father. That certainly sounded like the man she had grown up with. She quickly turned her attention to the weapons and frowned slightly. "But your...our? Kind, created them, didn't they? Why would they be made like that?" She asks. As far as she was concerned their kind never wanted to hurt humans but to coexist with them.

Hector sighed, "They were the first weapons, created when the world began. Humans happen to be effected by them. They were tools first and then ways to survive an evil that is long gone. These weapons were only meant to protect, the effect on humans were something of a surprise. Our kind had war with humans for a short time, before we decided that we didn't want to hurt them anymore. That was why we created the shadow worlds."

She nodded some, surprised that it made sense to her. "So then why not destroy them? Isn't the risk greater than the good they could be?" She asks, but then realized that perhaps she was a little biased since she was half human.

Kyle sighed, "We have tried for centuries to destroy them, but only another Shadow Weapon can break a shadow weapon and the only way to make sure that they still broken is to wedge one piece of the weapon in a shadow and the other in another. Otherwise, they repair themselves and become whole again."

She sighed and looked to the weapon on the table. She hesitated a moment, and then reached out and carefully picked it up. She looked it over carefully and then set it back down on the table. "So what are you going to do with them?" She asks.

Hector sighed, "I had hoped to keep them hidden, but apparently after your father's death whatever he had done to keep them hidden and safe has been undone. For now we are going to have to find a place for them, to get them somewhere that they can't be used. They are an advantage that come with a terrible price and we can't allow it to be paid."

Rowan nodded a little in understanding. "Is there anything I can do to help with it?" She asks curiously. Surely there was more to why they asked to speak to her than to just explain all of this...wouldn't there be? Perhaps not. She didn't know.

Hector smirked, "I want you and Kyle to head a team to find a place for them, actually. You know your father best, so i imagine with Kyle's knowledge, you would be able to help find a place that can be safe. I want it to be a place that is hidden from even me. Kyle will be the brains, but I want you to pick a small group from selected people, that I will give to you to help take the weapons there. But I want you and only you to hid them. I want only one person to know where they are and you are the best one for that position."

She raised an eyebrow. She wasn't sure if it was a combination in the trust they had in her father and that she was half human that made him trust her so much. But she was not unaware of how important this task was. "I..." She starts but then stops. "Alright." She agrees. The only problem was putting her in charge of choosing a group to help her. Kyle was a given, but she'd really only spent the most time with Adam and Emery. But then she supposed they would be the best options if Hector was willing to let them. "Do you have people already in mind?" She asks. She hoped so, it would make it easier for her.

Hector smirked, motioning to Kyle as he said, "I leave that you Kyle and you. Kyle has compelled a list of not just warriors that I agree with. Wherever you place the weapons, you are going to need more then a soldier to get there, I believe."

She raised an eyebrow, though she was relieved that they already had a list. Finally though she bowed her head slightly in thanks. "Thank you for trusting me with this." She says. She just hoped it wouldn't be in vain. That she wouldn't mess it all up for them. "When would you like us to leave?" She asks. Wondering what kind of time frame there was.

Hector sighed, "By tomorrow. The longer these weapons are here, the greater the chance that someone will use them or worse they will be taken from us." he stated as Kyle got to his feet and bowed to his father.

"We should be ready by tonight without selections and leave in the morning." he stated glancing at Rowan with a smirk, he was glad to be working with her. He liked the idea that his father was trusting her with this and better, that it was proof she wasn't useless.

Rowan nodded and then slowly got to her feet. "Thank you." She says before turning to Kyle. "Shall we?" She asks. Truth was she wanted to get started on this as soon as possible too. And the first step was picking who came with them.

Kyle nodded, as he led the way out of the office, he smiled at her, "I know you haven't had much interaction with a lot of people, so I think this will be good for you."

She nodded. "I agree. I am glad you will be coming. And that you will be able to help me pick who may be best for this." She says. She glanced to him as they walked and smiled a little before looking forward. "Is there anyone on the list I have met yet?" She asks.

Kyle smirked as he left her down the hall, "Yes, I am sure you have. As much as I think it is important for you to have people that you are familiar with, there war some I think you should meet. After dinner, we should have a selection, so we should probably head to the filing room to pick who to invite."

She looked to him curiously but then nodded. "Sounds like a good plan to me." She says. "And you will help me to choose the ones best suited to this?" She asks. She was so th angus he would be with her on this. She was a little afraid of messing up.

(LOL angus)

Kyle smiled at her and nodded "i will be with you through it all, up until you have to leave." he assured her.

((Haha oops, stupid auto correct :P  ))

She paused briefly in her walking and then continued again. "Y-you mean you will not be coming with us?" she asks. They were beginning to reach their destination.

Kyle smirked at her, shaking his had, "No. My father doesn't want to know where it is and I shouldn't know either, it's best that way." he nodded, "Don't worry, you won't be alone."
