Twisted Sisters (one on one)

Shayne shivered as she started to feel sick again. She dry heaved into the toilet she sighed and finally sat back on the wall she wrapped the blanket around her body. She shivered and leaned into Blair and closed her eye's closed and she just shook with a sniff. She clung to Blair and hid her face into her lap.

She felt Blair take her to bed. She curled up into her sister and fell asleep. She slept most of the night in her sister's arms with out a single bad dream. She woke in the morning still feeling sick and wanting to puke her guts out. Shayne groaned and held her stomach as she rolled to her back. She was aching all over and sniffed.

"Blair?" She asked. She wanted to cling to her and just for this stupid flu like thing. She sniffed and wiped her nose and shivered again. She looked around her and curled up. She wiped at her nose again and tried to curl into the blankets more.

When Shay finally stopped throwing up every few minutes Blair took her back to bed tucking her into a lot of blankets to keep her hot and lay beside her staring at the ceiling. She'd not be able to sleep now, and had yet to even tend to her own wounds, the sleeve of her black hoodie hiding it completely now that she kept the sleeve pulled down rather than pushed to elbow.

When the sun rose she did as well, going to wait in the living room as Robert would be coming for her babies soon and she wanted a chance to say good bye even though he lived a few buildings over and would gladly welcome her in to visit with her girls. Instead she sat on the couch playing with them until she saw him through the window. she opened the door and gave a pained smile to her friend, rat over shoulders and in hoodie pocket. "Come on it Rob, Shays still sleeping so we need to keep it down though."

"I'm sorry she doesn't like your girls B, you know you're welcome to come see them whenever you need to right." Blair gave a pained smile and nodded, "Yeah I know." though she wouldn't do it. She put the rats away into the cage and helped him move her tubs of dry feed, litter, extra cage lining and toys, outside so he could come back for it when he'd settled the girls. The cage was on wheels and he could push the whole lot of it all the way to his building.

After they'd left, jaw working Blair made soup for Shay so when she woke she could have something warm and gentle on her stomach. When called for she rose from her place staring at the empty place where her rats used to be, and got a bowl of soup to bring to Shay.

Shayne had finally stopped throwing up and Blair took her to bed. she stayed in bed and sighed. she was covered in blankest and the blankets were wrapped around her. she slept through rob coming over she hadn't meant to make Blair give her pets away. she just found rats gross they weren't her thing.

when she finally woke she looked around and her the bed was empty. Shayne was confused."Blair?" she asked. when Blair came in with the soup. She looked up and sat up. her body ached and she was still shivering. the soup made her feel sick again. she hid into the blankest."oh god that makes feel like I have to puke again." Shayne said.

shaynes sunk back into bed and rolled over to go back to sleep. She curled up to sleep, but couldn't she felt sick again. she held her stomach."feels like someone is setting my insides on fire." she said and groaned. she stretched and curled back up so she hopefully didn't go get sick again.

Blair took the soup away and brought water and saltines which she made Shay eat some of them. She'd not let her getting sick reverse the hard work that putting flesh on her bones again had been. She rubbed her face tiredly and said. "Maybe I should take you to a doctor." she sat on the corner of the foot of the bed and said, "You shouldn't be sick, I've been pumping you full of antibiotics since i picked you up, so you'd heal better." she fingered the fresh bite mark through the sleeve of her hoodie saying, "I didn't want you to scar as bad as I am."

There had been much they needed to get done today but with Shay sick she didn't think any of it would be done. She could not leave her there, alone or with anyone in town. Shed even shied away from Macy and Emma and they were who she'd trusted most of all the people here. That meant no shopping for fresh food, no shopping for proper clothes for Shay before classes, or even picking out classes because she really didn't think the other woman cared enough to even look at the courses.

So instead she sat watching Shay ready to hand her the waste bucket. No use her trying to run to the toilet every time since she wouldn't just bed down in there. She was still and quiet, until the quite bothered her and she turned on a gentle nature sound of crickets and frogs singing in a light rain. Normally down time would be open range time for the rats. her space was spartan at best, to provide safe range time for her rats to run through out the house without risking getting stuck somewhere, being hurt, or chewing on any cables.

How could she not know that Shay didn't like rats? As her sister she should have known that. As the only person she'd had care for her since her dad died, she should have known that. If she'd known she'd never have gotten the girls to keep her company. Instead now she had to feel the loss of them, and the guilt for not knowing her sister better.

Shayne ate the saltines but wanted to throw up. she drank the water and sighed she hated the feeling it gave her. She just wanted it to all go away her head ache her body ache. she was sick and tired of this and the feeling."no just a flu don't need to go to a doctor." She hated them, doctors were the worst thing in the world in her mind. She shrugged her shoulders she was not sure why she was sick, but it happened and she get it over. Blair needed to know she wasn't a porcilen doll. She had made it clear by making it through starvation rape and torture by her own step father.

Shayne went to lay back down on the bed. she curled up and closed her eyes and yawned. she was still feeling off and just kinda wanted to be left to sleep. she knew they were supposed to be doing things today, but she didn't want to and there was no way she could. She went to puke in the bucket given to her. She puked up the saltines and water and just didn't want to move. she was groaning and sighed,"god feels like my insides are on fire. thanks Blair for being here, but you should go out and about instead of being stuck here with me. I hate that i am keeping you inside." she said."plus you have pets to take care of as well." shayne said. she sighed and curled up to go back to sleep." I am just going to sleep Blair you go have some fun or what ever you need to do. you don't need to be stuck in here with the sick girl." Shay said she was trying to be genuinely nice. about it. she wanted Blair to have fun and not be stuck with her.

Despite what she said, Blair didn't move right away still worried about her being sick, as any mother hen would do. It bothered her too that not even water and saltines would stay down. She didn't even flinch when she mentioned the ratties, but her gut twisted. "Yeah okay.." she said softly and left the room. She cracked the door slightly and left the rain and crickets playing, figuring she'd have been asked to turn it off. Instead of going out though, she simply moved to the living room and sat on her bright orange couch. Others might think it gawdy or ugly, but she kind of liked it and it'd been cheap.

She sat looking at the wall not doing or thinking anything in particular, but then she saw a scratch mark on the wall where one of the girls had tried to limb the vertical surface when on of her sisters scared her. She looked away then and saw their bags, she'd not bothered to unpack most of her stuff yet in favor of wanting to help Shayne instead. She got out her laptop and spent a few hours arranging this or that thing. Placed and order for her local grocery delivery team. It was really just a group of kids trying to make extra money, but she used them on those occasions when she couldn't force herself to leave the apartment.

Food stuffs were delivered and paid for, and she put them away quietly so not to bother Shayne should she be resting, which was the best cure for being sick. She checked on her through out the day, but kept busy. busy was good, it left no room for thinking. She didn't know Shayne any more so she didn't know what would appeal to her sister in classes, but she read through and some that seemed interesting she wrote the course number down and brief details so she'd not have to read too much.

By the time Shayne needed her again, she had a stack of papers on the table, for her to look at and maps of the school so she could show her how to get around. Blair sat with a silent look of rage on her face as she glared at her computer screen clicking furiously at her mouse, a pair of big dark green head phones covered her ears as she clicked away and tapped at the keys with her left hand. When something happened she groaned and flopped back in her chair. "Damn it." she cursed softly having kept her usual yelling to herself.

Shayne had been sleeping on and off. She was still puking on and off, but it was slowing and Shayne was starting to feel a bit better. Her fever had broken and she was no longer shaking. Shayne made her way to the bathroom to freshen up and feel a bit better.

Shayne showered and brushed her teeth. She made her way back to bed and just curled up so she didn't bug Blair. She had heard her cursed and jumped slightly had she made Blair mad at her? She wasn't sure, but was waiting for her sister to yell and beat her. She needed it or felt like she did she had hurt her and she didn't know what to do.

Shayne was sitting in the bed and slid back under the covers hiding her head and curling up. She just hid and kept her eye's closed. She was in tears again, Shayne was making herself more upset again and just cried into her pillow till she fell back asleep.

Followed soon by the curse was the sound of the large head phones going thunk on the table and another soft curse because she realized that that was pretty loud and could have bothered Shay. Finished turning the computer off after her rage quit she got up and moved quietly to the door to check on her sister. She noticed she'd moved since she'd last checked on her and checked the waste bucket. She moved quietly as she took the bucket out to rinse and bring back for her.

She was tired now, and hungry but in no mood to eat, so she went around the apartment turning off the correct lights, checking locks and the windows before going back to their room. The hall and bathroom lights were left on and the door cracked open as she changed for bed int eh semi dark. Slowly so not to move the bed around too much as she got in, not wanting to upset her sisters tummy, Blair slid between the sheets and ducked her head under the covers.

"I wish hiding from zombies was this easy in my damn game." she said softly sliding closer through the bed trying to see Shay through the blankets, until she realized that she was crying. This upset Blair and she sat up slowly pulling the blankets with her so she could look at her crying sister hiding in her Pillow. "Shay." she said softly reaching out to her. The backs of her fingers brushed against her arm "Shay baby whats the matter?" She asked softly as she moved to lay beside her sister. "Come here." she offered her arms after having woken her with the touch "tell me whats wrong? was it a night mare again?" it never occurred to her that Shayne had heard her curse and thought it directed at her.
