Twisted Sisters (one on one)

Blair drummed her thumbs against the steering wheel as she waited for the light to change. she was close to her childhood home, but she was less than excited about that. The location was not home, not anymore, now it was a reminder of hell for her and she didn't like to think about it so much anymore. No what she was impatient to see was her younger step sister. She'd hated having to leave her behind to go to school, but she couldn't pass up the chance to leave either. Not when it was a full ride scholarship, and she'd already had a job lined up and waiting. She'd had to go.

During that year she'd called often, even skyped when she had the chance, but she never made it out to visit. She did come home that first summer in which she kept her sister out and about for a month before having to drive back across the country in time for school. Before she had been weak and not just terrified but afraid, she still had problems when men got aggressive or raised their voices. She still had nightmares about what her father had done to her while growing up. Now though her reaction was anger and equal if not greater aggression in response to her fear. The fight or flight response had been flipped, from cowering in fear to fighting in anger.

The physical labor she put in at her job, and the self defense classes she'd started first year and hadn't stopped had strengthened Blair to the point that she would not be a meek victim ever again, nor would she allow anyone else to be one either. Especially not her sister. That was why she was driving through the neighborhood with its white fences and fake shutters that hid black secrets. She was here to take her sister away, on a road trip ending not back here, but at her sisters new residence for school.

Parking her pick up on the curb in front of her personal Hell Blair jumped down from the cab, checked her newly short cut hair in her reflection, and tugged her vest straight again. She stood tall, chin up, no more slinking through the shadows in the hopes of not being noticed for her, and marked to the front door knocking. Not just any knock, but her trademark 'shave and a hair cut, two bits' rhythm. She hoped it was her sister to answer, but if it was her father, or that witch of a step mother, well she couldn't promise to maintain her manners.

Shayne laid in bed she was trying to keep her eye's closed, but the sun and fresh cuts from the beating the night before. Shayne sat up and glared at the mirror in her room her dark look was covered with healing cuts and bruises. She had light brown hair that reached past her shoulders. Her eye's were a deep beautiful blue. She made her way to the bathroom and showered. Once out, she pulled on jeans, sneakers a short sleeve v-neck shirt, and a light black sweatshirt over with the hood up. She did her make up dark and covered her cuts and bruises. Her step sister had left her in the house with her Dick of a step father and Cowardly mother who just let her get beat and sexually assaulted by her step father.

Shayne had become an angry young adult and hate when people talked to her. She couldn't even have a boyfriend. Not that she wanted one. She flinched when ever someone even came near her. She would go to protect herself or even go to strike back. She sat on her bed in the corner her knees pulled up to her chin. She kinda resented her step sister for leaving her in hell. She was pale as all hell, she never got out any more. Her ribs stuck out and she looked anorexic, but it was because she was starved. Her step father starved her if her chores weren't done before she went to school. Today she was just alone in her room curled up.

Shayne 's lip was throbbing and she was happy her parents were out of the house for the whole day. They had gone up state and weren't coming back till late. Shayne wasn't sure what she was supposed to do, she just went to hide like always. When she heard a knock on the door Shayne jumped half out of her skin. She made her way to the door and looked out the front door to see her step sister. She was confused and dumbfounded the last time they talked she hadn't mentioned she was coming down. They talked over skype often, and it took a while to forgive her,but they would always talk late at night. Shayne always hated that she never cane back to visit or even attempt to save her from this hell.

Shayne unlocked the big oak door and slowly opened it. Her deep blue eye's looking through the crack. She opened the door and stuck only her head out still hiding under the hood. Even her make-up couldn't cover her bruises fully. Shayne looked from under her hood at the woman standing in front of her."Hi." She said in small voice. She was shaking slightly. Why was she here and she needed to leave before they got back. Shayne crossed her left arm over her ribs gently her other she bit at the skin under her nail nervously. She looked around outside to make sure the parents were not coming back yet.

Though Blair had desperately needed to get away, she resented herself for leaving Shayne in hell. Seeing her sister, and not getting the greeting she'd hoped for made her resent herself more. She had done this to her, NO. She couldn't think like that, she wasn't the one who hurt her, but she wasn't the one to save her either. Until now. She stepped forward tentatively, licking her lips nervously she opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. Shayne, the formerly sunny bright little girl who loved to smile and play was gone. It was a ghost of that little girl who stood hidden by door and clothing who stood before her now. It made her want to cry or scream, break something, break someone. Her shoulders had sagged at seeing the younger woman so broken. Once they had found solace in each others hugs, but for Blair it was only her step sister. No one else could approach her without her responding negatively. She didn't want to be touched by anyone. She hoped that maybe, even with the rift between them for her crime, and she did see it as a crime, hadn't driven them so far apart that she wouldn't accept a hug.

Blair licked her lips again and tried a second time to speak as she opened her arms for a hug. "Hey baby sister." her voice was soft, sad. She could tell that she was hiding under the make up, could tell she wasn't eating. Arms still open her cursed word vomit kicked in. "I've ruined our relationship, I know that." she looked at the deceptively nice looking house, "I know that, and I know I can't make it better by just showing up out of the blue. But." she paused for a breath, "But I filled out applications for you and you have a spot at a school. A school very far away from here and I'm taking you there. I know you hate me for leaving you in hell." softly she added that she hated herself too before continuing in a normal tone again. "You don't have to talk to me, on the ride or ever again if you don't want to. Just please, let me take you away. Let me take you away from a hell you'll never have to come back to again. Please."

She didn't know where the adults of the house was, and didn't care. The most important thing she wanted to do was take Shayne away never to return. If she got to see Him she'd get a little revenge, and if not, well she'd still get it. There was a lock box under the seat of her truck. Within it were copies of photos, reports and other documents of her abuse and some of Shaynes' as well. She'd started to keep the record in high school, thinking someday she'd be brave enough to take it to the police. Well that time had come, and she had an attorney friend who was helping her with her case against them. And a second case all together, Shayne was of age, but her mother had kept the money that was supposed to go to her under lock and key. Blair often wished that the deaths of their parents had swapped, leaving them with the good loving pair rather than the abusive, neglectful ones. It didn't matter now, by the time she and Shayne made it to the younger womans new college, she'd be set with plenty of money.

Shayne breathed in and huffed a little. She stepped back when Blair stepped forward. She watched her still from under the hood. Shayne watched her every move she would jump at the slightest movement, since Blair had left she had become quiet and jumpy. She couldn't let anyone near her lately with out flinching and freaking out. Blair went to speak, she could see she was struggling. Shayne could see Blair felt bad,but she didn't care. She was mad Blair had left her knowing exactly what would happen to her.

Shayne had run away over 15 times in the last year and a half. She was always dragged back and beaten with in a inch of her life. She couldn't walk for weeks after she ran away. She bit her bottom lip, she thought about getting out of this hell hole and here was her chance. Yet she didn't want to take it. She felt angry and betrayed, Shayne use to be a cool kid, who was sweet and fun loving. She would actually behave when her parents told her not to do something. Shayne changed when she started to get beaten by her step father. She had dark make up and dark clothing and a dark attitude now. She smoked, drank, and even did drugs just to cope with the life she was living. Shayne looked behind her and closed the door moving her sister inside quickly."Your going to get me in trouble." She said. She locked the door and looked out the window to make sure the neighbors didn't see her step sister here.

Blair had opened her arms for a hug and Shayne stepped back away. She didn't hug anyone anymore. She didn't smile or laugh it wasn't in her nature anymore. Only way she felt any where close to happy was when she was drugged up."yeah you did ruin it." Shayne said."You really shouldn't be here your going to get me in big trouble." She said. Shayne looked at her,"Why would you do that, you didn't care before." Shayne asked. Her dark attitude starting to come out. She was scared of getting in trouble or her parents coming to look for her.

"How can you be here to just take me away. You didn't even care what happened to me when you left here. I can't leave they will call the cops again. I rather not get that one beating that is going to kill me." She said."besides I don't have any money to go anywhere anyway. Even if I wanted to go I have no money to stay anywhere or even pay for college. I barely have enough to pay for community college." She said and played with her bruised lip. Shayne heard a knock and jumped again, she moved Blair away from the window and door.

She cracked it open."Hi Mrs.Case," she mumbled."Shayne you know your not supposed to have visitors why is there a truck in front of your yard?" She asked. Shayne shrugs."How the fuck should I know I been cleaning the house. Maybe someone just stopped here." She said. The woman nods and grabbed her cheeks."Watch the tude missy or I will make sure your father hears about this." She snapped and glared at Shayne."Yes Mrs. Case, bye Mrs. Case." She said and closed locking the door. She watched the woman leave."I told you, your going to get me in trouble," she said."come on move." She said. Shayne grabbed her step sisters wrist with her boney hands and moved Blair to her room Aka the chemical closet. Her parents had made her move there when Blair left. It was small, but Shayne didn't mind it. It made her feel safe.

Blair was hurt, she knew she didn't have the right to be, and she didn't let it show much, but it did hurt. It hurt that Shayne stepped away, that she'd rejected the hug. Her step mothers words rang in her head. You're dirty. Dirty little slut. No one will love you. Who would love trash like you. Worthless, Useless, Waste of space. "I'm trash." Blair answered, "I know I am, but I've always cared about you. I had the chance to get away and I took it." she shook her head remembering the night she left. "He said he wouldn't touch you. I should have known he'd lie. He beat and rape me his own blood, what would keep him away from you." She was doing her best to keep herself in check, she wouldn't yell, she wouldn't force, she wouldn't do anything but speak. She wrapped her arms around herself to keep from taking a step or from trying to reach out to her again. It was unwanted. She was unwanted.

"I can take you away because I have an attorney. There are several cases against the both of them. If they call the cops, it won't be you or I in the back of the squad car." Blair had similar habits to her sister, she numbed herself with booze and drugs alone in her apartment. She'd been good and hadn't drank while crossing the country, but she'd rolled many a blunt on the way. the center console had a fat sack, and half a box of rillos' "I'm not worth the air a breath Shayne, but I'm not afraid anymore. I won't run away from him again. I'm not a terrified little girl anymore, and you don't have to be either. Just let me pack your things and you can leave. I know my promises don't mean anything to you anymore." She'd actually been very good about keeping her promises. She always called or skyped when she said she would, she sent money and gifts for all the holidays, but she'd never promised to visit, because she didn't know if she'd be able to keep it. With so many promises broken between the adults and children, she was reserved with her promise making. "But I promise you, I'm not going to let him hurt you ever again."

She'd been about to release her own elbows when there was a knock at the door. She'd been startled into silence, but the silence was burned away by almost instant rage. Mrs Case? Blair had been a meek child and not spoken to the people around them often, wondering what dark secrets they hid in their tidy little homes. But this bitch thought she could come over here and talk to her sister that way? Who the fuck did she think she was? The older sister took a step towards the door when she saw the womans fingers on Shaynes' cheek as she grabbed her face. Rage boiled over, her face was red, her hands loose at her sides shaking as they open and closed. the desire to break, to close her fists around that womans throat, it over whelmed her.

So caught in her rage she'd missed what Shayne said to her, everything was red, until she felt boney fingers wrap around her wrist. The only thing that kept her from jerking away and lashing out, was seeing Shaynes profile, for her hand didn't even feel familiar. She realized what the younger woman had said and expected to go up the stairs to where their bedrooms and shared bath had once been, only to be led to the closet under the stairs. She stopped short and stared at the closet. Blair had problems with small spaces, He used to lock her in an old foot locker when she did something to make him angry. "Are you kidding me right now?" she croaked weakly. "When? How long?" she put her other hand to her face then had to press the sleeve of her shirt to her mouth and nose to breath until the tightness in her chest stopped and she could see without the spots.

"Never mind." Its not like she'd actually answer right. "Will you please let me pack your things so we can leave?" she asked tiredly. Today was turning into an emotional roller coaster and she wished for the blunt she'd rolled up. She wanted him to show up, she wanted to see his face as she beat the living hell out of him as he'd done so many times to her and Shayne. she wanted to smack her step mother around a bit too. She didn't care so much that the woman hadn't protected her, hadn't kept her safe from the drunk bastard. No what made her angry, was that the woman didn't protect her own flesh and blood. she didn't know what was worse. Abusing your blood, or knowing someone else was and letting it happen.

Shayne looked at her sister as she said are you kidding me."Dad never jokes about my living situations and ever since you up and left." She said. Shayne pointed to the book on the shelf."That is my journal it's how I kept track of time." She said. Shayne still kept one arm around her ribs. She didn't want her step sister looking at her like she was a pathetic abused kid, who couldn't help herself. She had gotten a few good hits in on Blair's Father. Shayne nods as she asked,if she could help Shayne pack up. Shayne wanted to go she wanted to get the hell out of here.

Shayne packed the duffle bag in her closet up. All her clothes were already in it well the one's she was allowed to wear. She hid her drugs in the bottom so her step sister wouldn't see. She made her way upstairs and went to grab the box she kept hidden in her old room. Shayne pulled up the floor board's and pulled up some bags and boxes. She was shaking, from lack of food and being scared. She had been on 3 days no food, but this was nothing she had been starved for a week before she was allowed to eat.

She packed up some boxes and more clothes and brought them down stairs. All she had was 3 boxs and 3 bags that was all her whole world had become. She went into her mother's bedroom and searched the room for her passport, birth certificate, and social security card. She found them and bag full of money. She took them and ran downstairs. Her heart was racing. It felt like it was going to burst out of her chest cavity. She looked at her step sister and nods."Lets go, before I change my mind " she said. She helped bring the bags to the truck and looked around. Where was Mrs.Case.

Just as Shayne was wondering a hand grabbed her hood off and dragged her by the hair away from the truck."where do you think your going, this is how you treat your parent's. You ungrateful wretch" The woman says. Shayne let out a squeak as she was dragged. She was use to it and became docile in the ladies grip. "Mrs.Case let go." She said and tried to get the womans grip off her.

Blair started to shake again, she wasn't sure if it was the stress of going into that small space to help pack her things up, or if it was anger at what had happened to Shayne. Well no, she was always angry about what was happening to them, to her. She swallowed and nodded, she'd not kept a journal but records, they both had their ways of passing the time. She'd not read the journal, it was private, though she wondered. How long had she been keeping it? Did it start right after she left? If she were to read it would she be able to see the transformation of her sister. She nodded and watched as Shayne went to collect more of her things. She herself finished collecting what was important in the closet and set it by the front door. Then she went to her old room and to the crawl space hole in the ceiling. she pulled out the things she'd had to leave because she couldn't take them before. She was never coming back, so she was going to take what she wanted now. She added the single photo of the pair of them smiling on the wall in the hall. Had to keep up appearances, but they weren't a part of that appearance anymore.

When they had everything at the door Blair helped take things out, she opened the bed of the truck to show a few things in the back, including a mattress and bedding. She'd slept in the back of the truck at truck stops on the way across country to save money. She didn't have an inheritance waiting for her. Briefly she wondered if Shayne even knew that her father had left everything to her when he died. No one could touch it until she was of age, and she couldn't if she didn't know it was there. She shook her head, it didn't matter, Shayne would be set for life. "I'll get the last of it." Blair said softly so not to agitate her sister and instead went back inside to get the last of the bags. As she exit the house she looked up and down the street first, hoping so much so to see His car rolling up so she could get the physical revenge she wanted so badly.

Her attention snapped towards Shayne at the sound of her squeak. She didn't need to hear the womans voice to know this was that evil Case woman, she was pretty good at reading lips. Bags still on hand Blairs' long legs ate up the distance between she and the pair. Without breaking stride she let the bags slide to the ground, cocked back, and decked the woman across the face. "Get your filthy hands off my sister you sick bitch." she growled as she moved into the space between the pair that she'd made. "Get the fuck out of my face before I hit you again lady. NO ONE touches my sister. Do you understand me?" She took a step forward pushing the woman bodily away again. She was about to say more when she heard a dreadfully familiar rumble of an engine. It was His car. He was back. "Leave, before I do something you regret, because I sure the hell won't regret beating your ugly face to a pulp." she snarled at the woman and turned to Shayne.

"Shayne." her voice was infinitely more gentle than it had been a moment before. "Please get into the truck, and lock the doors." She looked over the younger womans shoulder towards the car coming their way. "I'm not going to let him near you again." She didn't reach out to touch the other brunette like she wanted to. Instead she went back to the bags and put them in the bed of the truck, letting Shayne make her choice, as she closed up the back and moved to lean on the side while waiting for man and wife to get out of the car. She couldn't force Shayne to do anything, but should she get into the cab of the truck it would be filled with the stank of good weed, a fat blunt sat in the ash tray waiting to be light, and a lighter hung from a leash on the rear view mirror.

Shayne was fighting to get out of the grip. She had tears in her eye's, the woman's grip hurt. When Mrs.Case was decked Shayne stumbled back and let out a gasp. She watched Blair with tears in her eye's. Her head hurt and she didn't want to be caught by her father. She really would be dead. The woman glared with a small smirk tugging at her lips. She walked away. She had called Shayne's parents to come back. The girl get it now and she deserved everything she got the woman thought.

Shayne nods to her sister and grabbed her bag. Shayne got into the truck and closed the doors and pushed the locks down. She curled up in the passenger seat. She put her hood up shaking as the car pulled up. Shayne started to shake and watched the car pull up. It didn't matter that the car smelled of good weed. She couldn't focus on anything but her step father pulling up.

"Hey what do you think your doing with our daughter, she stayed you didn't. Don't go turning her against us." He yelled at Blair."Shayne come out you know daddy is sorry." Shayne shook but went to open the door. She took to long and he came slamming his hands in the window."Get the hell out you little Slut you know she will just leave you again. Your worthless at life and everything you do. Your worse then her. You don't belong in this world get out bow and maybe you will eat tonight." He said. Shayne let out a scream and covered her ears in tears. She moved to the floor of the truck to hide. She curled up sobbing and covering her ears. She was causing trouble and she didn't mean to be."LEAVE ME ALONE." She yelled.

Shayne was still scared and hoped Blair was okay. Her step father walked towards Blair."What the hell did you say to her. Hmmm what you do you little bitch. You trying to take our daughter from us." Shayne's mother looked furious."You have no right to come here and take her. She isn't your's. She isn't your sister. Shayne sweetie get out of the truck you don't belong there." Her mother said. Shayne sobbed into the seat."NO GO AWAY."she screamed out. She sobbed and held her hands over her ears tighter.

Blair watched out of the corner of her eyes as Shayne did as she asked, it made her feel a little better about what she was about to do, knowing he couldn't get to her. Flipping a switch in her pocket, the little cameras she had hidden on the exterior of the car, and her dashcam came to life. She didn't move from the side of the truck as she watched the man who she used to love so much came over towards her, her brown eyes flickered over his shoulder towards the woman she'd wanted to love as her mother. They made her sick, and were walking right into the trap she wanted them in. Not only would it further her case against them, but it would further Shaynes AND get them to jail that much faster. She really hoped the nosy bitch would call the cops too. Her friend had text her letting her know that the local police knew the deal already, but the more evidence the better. She watched with dead eyes until he slammed against the window. When he'd finished yelling though Blair wasn't looking on with dead eyes anymore, there was fire there and she pushed him away from the truck. Hard, harder than she'd pushed Mrs Case, it was stumble back or fall on his ass.

"Don't you dare say those things about Shay." her voice was calm, calculated. "I'm taking her to her new college, her new home, she never has to see you ever again."

Her attention flickered to the woman as she spoke. "She is more my sister than she EVER was your daughter. The two of you make me sick." she needed to get a rise out of them, especially her father. Self defense didn't exclude provoked attacks. "I don't have to turn her against you. Either of you!" She glared at the man, "You turned her against you the moment you lay hands on her, struck her. The moment you force her to kiss you, forced her to suck on that stump between your legs you call a dick. The moment you raped her Shayne turned from you forever. She should have been safe with you." she turned on her step mother now seething, "And you! You stupid I'm uncultured! You think that she could ever have any positive feelings for YOU! You were her mother and you LET HIM RAPE HER." she clenched her hands to keep from striking first, she lowered her voice so she wasn't yelling anymore either. "I get it, I'm not yours and you never wanted me. No matter how much I wanted you to be my mother too, you've always hated me. You didn't protect me when he started in on me first, you did nothing, turned a blind eye. Fine whatever. But to turn a blind eye while your Flesh and Blood is beaten? Abused? Raped? Nightly? You're just sick."

She glanced at her sister huddled in the floor of her truck and turned angry eyes on her father again. "And you! You are the real sick fucker here. The bitch didn't protect me, but YOU. My own Father abused and raped me. I was so naive before, but now I wonder, did you rape Andy too. Did you rape Andy, and that was why he drove the van off the cliff? Did you drive him to kill them? You did always favor him." that had done it, she'd learned shortly after they'd died that she wasn't allowed to bring up her older brother, not ever. "Oh is Daddy dearest angry now?" she asked in a mocking tone and barked out a laugh as he back handed her across the face, hard. She licked her lips, tasted blood and stood straight again smirking at the man as he yelled about how she didn't know what the fuck she was talking about. Blair cut him off with her laugh and asked. "What? Is that all you've got old man? No wonder you had to start starving Shay, you've gotten weak."

The man bellowed like a wounded bull and swung at her again. His fist was closed this time and she felt the little explosion of pain in her jaw. they were right in front of the best camera she had recording, so when he hit her a third time, this time in the gut she laughed. Backing out of his reach she spit a mouthful of blood on the pavement and chuckled darkly. "You should have gone for a knock out mother fucker." she stood tall and lifted her fists to a guard position. "Now its my turn."

Both the adults looked stunned a moment then started laughing. Until Blair struck. She'd put a lot of hours in, not just at work where the labor made her strong, but in the dojo and gym. Her movements were fast and brutal as she landed punch, after punch, after punch. She cornered him so he couldn't run away and continued to deliver a serious beating. Between combos she berated him for what he'd spent years doing to them, reminding him of a few choice things he'd done.

Shayne kept her ears covered tight as she sobbed into the seat and hid. She heard yelling,"Stop please stop." She was begging. She didn't know who,she just wanted it to stop. Shayne shook into the car with sobs and fear. She was sweating and shaking, she didn't know if her sister was okay, but she couldn't move. She pulled a blanket she had stollen and held it over her to hide. She closed her eye's and got as far back and as comfy as she could on the floor curled up as far from the door and window as she could go.

Shayne closed her eye's tightly and shook as she tried to not sob. She coughed and just wrapped up in the blanket. Shayne was hurting and not really willing to move. She started to fall asleep on the car floor. She had cried her eye's out. Her eyes hurt her head hurt, matched how her body felt. Shayne finally passed out on the floor. She figured, she at least be safe in the cab of the truck. She had not been able to sleep in this house. Every time she closed her eye's she was afraid she be beaten or raped. She wanted Blair and she wanted to just leave. Shayne shook in her sleep, but stayed fast asleep. She didn't even hear the fighting outside anymore.

Her step father laughed at Blair."Fine take the bitch. She is your problem now, disrespectful bitch just like you." He laughed."Now get the fuck off my property, with that little wretch take her away, but you won't be able to handle her, then you will bring her back here or abandon her. When things get tough you run."he said. Shayne's mother helped him up and inside."Never come back here Blair or I will make sure your both are dead. That skank has been nothing but a disappointment since I gave birth to her." Shayne's mother said. She closed the front door and went to take care of Blair's dad.

Shayne woke to the slam of the front door. She slowly peaked out from under the blanket and looked around. She yawned, but didn't move. She saw a figure get close to the car. She whimpered and moved as far back as she could."Please don't." She said quietly. She had no idea who it was, she more then hoped it was Blair and not her step father coming to pull her out and beat her body to death and bury her corpse in the woods. She had dark thoughts, but what else could she think. She had it worse since Blair was gone.

DeathToAllBetrayers

When she'd backed off enough to let him stand Blair still saw red, still wanted to shed their blood and let it water the grass. But his words forced her to think so she could defend. "Shayne is never a problem." she growled stepping after him to push him further from the truck. "I only ran from you you bastard. I ran and because I did she will be safe from you, and both your asses are going to jail." her tone was light and sing song like as she said they'd go to jail they would to. "Don't worry you sick fuckers. We won't be back. But you know. If i see you ever again, I'll kill you." Her tone went dark as her features, "I'll kill you slow, I'll kill you painful, you'll beg me to finish it before I'm even started." As she watched them walk away she really wanted to get the lock box from the cab of the truck and take the gun from it and just kill them there on the porch. But Shayne had saved her from that fate when she locked the doors as asked. "You've created a monster and you don't even know it old man." she called as the door was slammed shut.

She took a shuddering breath then and pulled out her phone, which had escaped undamaged, and text her friend. She stood staring at the screen a moment before getting an affirmative reply back. When she turned back to the truck she spotted the neighbor lady and called to her. "You better go back inside Mrs Case. Your neighbors created a monster, and I'm still hungry." She bore her teeth at the woman in a vicious smile that showed all her teeth, pink with her own blood. Blair peaked in through the passenger side window and licked her lips, tasting the blood from the split lip. Instead of tapping on that window, she went around to the divers side and tapped with the pad of her finger. She tapped out her trade mark shave and a hair cut, two bits knock and pressed her forehead to the cool glass of the window. She had the keys to unlock the door, but she needed Shayne to feel safe enough to let her in.

"He's gone Shay, they can't hurt you anymore. You're safe now." She cracked an eye open to look inside, hoping to see her sister looking back. she knew that Shayne would never look at her the same again, she couldn't. And Blair didn't blame her for it one bit, but the tiny bit of hope, that maybe someday she could make it up to her some how, was all that kept the woman going. "You can unlock the door when you're ready. No rush." she spoke only loud enough to make it to her sisters ears, and kept her forehead rested on the window as she stood and waited.

Shayne had hidden in the blanket and slept through most of it. She shook as she heard a voice. It didn't register in her brain at first. She peaked outside her blanket at the passenger window. She shook slightly and moved slowly. Blair said they couldn't hurt her anymore. She didn't believe her, she was still scared as a small animal. Shayne sat still on the floor, she was crying again. She was still scared and just wanted to be away from here. She slowly pulled herself onto the seat and looked over to the outside world. She saw the hell house with Satin and his mistress inside. Her wide eye's went to the driver side slowly.

She saw Blair leaning on the window. She knew something bad had happened, but she didn't want to know. Shayne just stared at her. Her whole body shaking. She wrapped her self in the blanket. She didn't want to open the cab door. She was afraid he was lying in wait. Shayne looked at her sister and shook her head no. She didn't want to open the door or lock to her yet. Not cause she was upset she left, just cause she was frightened. Shayne stayed curled up against the seat and wiped at the tears that were falling down her cheek.

Shayne finally crawled over to the driver seat and slowly unlocked the door. Before she did so she looked around for any one around besides her sister. She finally opened the door and scooted all the way back to the floor of the passenger seat to hide. She didn't want to get out of the truck. She peaked over the blanket at her step sister. She knew she get in,but wanted her to close the door quickly. Shayne needed her drugs or a cigarette. She was freaking out on the inside and outside she was still shaking and holding onto the seat as if it would keep her anchored in the car."I don't want to go outside." She said in a small voice."I want to go please." She said hid under the blanket flinching so she didn't get hit for saying something.

When Shayne made eye contact and shook her head no, Blair gave her a nod. She understood, and would not rush the younger woman, she'd do what she wanted when she wanted. She leaned away from the window and moved to lean against the front fender instead. All the while she gave the abused woman time, Blairs eyes scanned around them. Especially the front doors of hell house, and nosy bitch. Blair wanted to fire up the blunt sitting in wait, but something He had said kept running through her head. '...maybe you will eat tonight.' That meant he was starving her, not just malnourished, but actively denying her food. It made her stomach hurt, not only sympathy but the boiling rage she'd been keeping contained by the tips of her fingers. She'd kill him, she fucking rip him apart while he was still alive to feel the pain. It still wouldn't be enough.

Catching movement out of the corner of her eye, Blair saw Shayne moving for the door, she didn't move quickly. Instead the older woman turned slowly towards the door and stepped to catch it as it was popped open. She waited and watched until her sister was against the other door, then pulled it open. She pulled the keys from her pocket as she slipped inside and put them in the ignition. The truck came to life and purred quietly, she belted in and nodded at her words. "You don't have to leave this truck until you're good and ready." She'd even get her something to go to the bathroom in if she needed to. "We'll leave as soon as you're belted in. I'm not going to loose you when I've just got you back."

She put the truck in gear, and when Shayne put her seat belt on she took her foot off the break. With a casualness that was deceptive of her anger, she hit the mail box and ran it and the flower bed around it over. The slow push destroying the carefully maintained decorations without damaging the truck. Once over it she accelerated and drove for the exit of the neighborhood. As they reached the stop sign, a line of squad cars, and a few undercover cops turned into the neighborhood. Blair smirked victoriously and made the turn onto the main road. She moved slowly as she reached for the center console, opening it to expose the drugs and pull out her pack of smokes.

Shayne and she had more in common than Satan and his mistress for parents. She pulled two cigarettes from the pack, putting it aside as she took up her lighter. With both nicotine sticks in her mouth she lite them both at once, put her lighter away then offered one of the two to her sister. She held the filter out to the other brunette, the cherry facing Blair herself, so there was no way Shayne could be burned by it. "Lets get some fast food." she hoped that not putting attention directly to the topic of starvation and just suggesting food wouldn't upset her as much. "Anything you want." she glanced at the other woman and added, "Even if its the next town, but the sooner we get it, the sooner I can fire up that blunt."

( I will reply tomorrow I am tired and I got to get up to see a friend tomorrow. )

Shayne buckled up shaking, but stayed curled up by the door. She watched her step sister ruin her parents lawn. She let out sigh and leaned her head on the door as she watched the outside world. When they reached the stop sign Shayne looked back. Her eye's saw police cars and she ducked her head. She was afraid to be dragged back by the cops again. Blair moved onto the main road, but Shayne still ducked to stay hidden. She didn't really know the outside world all she knew how to do was drive her parents car to the college and back. They trusted she was so broken that could just drive to school and come straight back. She would and she never complained.

Shayne's eye's went to her step sisters hands moving to the console. She exposed the drugs in there and her pack of smokes. Shayne kinda wanted one,but didn't at the same time. Shayne watched her step sister put both to her mouth and light them. Shayne took one when Blair held one out to her. She in hailed deeply and sighed. She exhaled and sighed."Okay. Am I allowed to eat?" Shayne asks to the let's get fast food. She wasn't use to being told she could eat even a full meal."I don't know what. I am not allowed to eat when I haven't done the chores." She said. Shayne inhaled on her cigarette then exhaled happily.

Shayne kept her gaze down. She hadn't ever been asked if she wanted to eat anything. When she did get food it was scraps. But she didn't care and when your starving you eat anything. Friends use to sneak her meals at school before her Step father forced her to throw up to see if she had eaten anything at school. So she had to stop eating even at school. She hated what he had reduced her to. She had to ask to eat, to even sleep. So when she did sleep it was very disturbed. She felt her lip still from yesterday and played with it gently. She looked at Blair and bit her bottom lip. She moved the seat belt so she was laying her head on Blair's lap. Shayne thanked her for coming back and go comfy.

Blair licked her lips and watched the younger brunette out of the corner of her eye, if the ducking didn't tell of fear, then it would have been funny. Shayne asked if she was allowed to eat, when Blair had suggested they stop, and it made her stomach drop. Did Shayne think she was like them? That she would deny her anything be it food, water, or sleep? She'd known she'd ruined things between them, but to have her sister think she was like Them. That dimmed her hope of a some day normal greatly. "I'm not like them Shay, I'm not. You don't have to ask for food, water, sleep anything. Tell me you need or want it, and it's yours. Anything." She'd failed her so spectacularly it was a wonder she'd even been able to get her to agree to leave. "I'm so sorry." she said softly on her own exhale of smoke.

She cracked the windows a tiny bit to suck the smoke from the cab, and to ash out, she had an ash cup, but she rather use the window for cigarettes. "I'll stop and get a couple of places then." she answered as Shayne mentioned she didn't know what she wanted to eat. "There are no chores for you to do ever again." she said, managing to keep the growl out of her voice. fat useless pig Blair had always liked food now it was a comfort thing, because she was as her father called her a fat useless pig. At least she could remember what Shayne had enjoy when they were younger. Before their life went to hell.

The older woman was startled and blushed a little as Shayne rested her head on her lap. That was seriously unexpected, she thought the other woman would loath to touch her. Blairs hand shook slightly as she reached to pull the blanket up over her sister better, careful not to touch her, afraid it would make her pull away again. But she missed her so much, and she needed her to know that she wasn't going to leave her again until she was told to do so. Fingers trembling, she lightly touched her hair, careful not to touch where that Case bitch had pulled her by. "I'm so sorry Shayne, I never meant to leave you there for so long, but you'll be taken care of now."

She'd kept what she was doing secret for a long time, to keep her parents from finding out and moving or something so she couldn't come save her sister. Working double shifts and over time to raise money, getting an apartment so she could have whoever she wanted move into the second bedroom instead of being with a stranger, getting applications set up. Finding out about Shaynes' inheritance and it opening a thousand more windows for her sister. The younger woman had been accepted to several schools across the country, one of which just so happened to be the one Blair herself went to.

She didn't disturb Shayne's rest again until she had fresh french frys which tasted best when hot. She slid a medium box into the cup holder right in the younger womans range and said. "those are for you. Try to eat slow so you don't get sick okay?" she knew for experience that eating too much, when you'd had too little for too long, was a miserable way to be sick. She continued to drive around and got burgers, tacos, fired chicken, pizza and an assortment of drinks without ice to keep them from getting watered down.

Shayne nods."I know,I just never been asked what I want to eat. Just eat the scraps or not at all." She said. Shayne. Stayed where she was in her sisters lap. She actually felt comfortable there and didn't want to move. She finished her cigarette and sat up to throw it out,but went back to laying on Blair's lap. Shayne nods as she said she stop a couple of places. Shayne nods, she heard her say no chores ever again. She liked that idea, she wasn't to fond of them, but did them so she could eat.

Shayne sighed as she pulled the blanket up and ran her hair through her hair. She sighed it felt nice, Blair apologized and nods."I know you didn't mean to." She said. She just stayed in her lap as her step sister drove. She was actually glad she was beyond here."Thank you." She said in a small voice. When she heard her sister talking into an order box and sat up slowly back to her seat. She looked at the fries and at her sister."I can eat those?" She asked her sister gently. She took one and ate it tentatively then took a few more. She sighed and wiped her hands. She was full from 3 or 4 fries. She moved back to laying on her sister's lap.

Shayne was tired and happy to be somewhere she could fall asleep. She drank the drinks and looked at it. She didn't really know what to think it had been forever since she had anything besides water. She sighed putting the drink in the drink holder and nuzzled her head into her sister's lap. She huffed and closed her eye's. Shayne relaxed and started to fall asleep in her sister's lap. She had tired herself out. With a sigh she finally fell asleep.

Shayne slept in her sister's lap while Blair drove. She didn't sleep much and this was nice to sleep. Shayne held onto Blair's leg in her sleep. When she felt the truck stop. Shayne opened her eye's and slowly sat up. Her body hurt and she was still tired."Where are we?" She asked."why are we stopping?" Shayne was disoriented.

"Please." Blair said softly when her sister asked about the fries. She knew that the other girl would be full quickly but she wanted her to know that the fries were hers to eat. With all the food and drink she'd stocked up on, they'd not really need to stop for food again unless they wanted something fresh, for a while. Especially with how little Shayne could eat before becoming full. She chewed at her lip when her sister sat up, but relaxed when she settled against her again.

When they were younger, before it had gotten really bad they'd been close. They'd sit comfortably together, cuddled on the couch watching a movie, or lounging in the sun, or just laying on one of their beds listening to music. When the younger woman settled her head on her lap again and fell asleep, Blair thought maybe. Just maybe. She'd not ruined things as badly as she'd thought. She knew Shayne hated her, she hated herself, but maybe it wasn't so extreme a hate that they couldn't be friends again. The hate Blair felt for herself did not stop her from loving Shayne with everything she had left in her.

As the younger woman slept, Blair found that she couldn't help petting her hair softly. It was a ghost of a touch, and her hair was less than she remembered, but it was more than she'd had in years. She drove them out of the city and onto the interstate, stealing a few fries now that they were cold and wouldn't taste good anymore. She drove until she needed to get gas and took the exit ramp. She stopped before reaching a pump and put the truck in park. She'd get gas when Shayne woke up, only she didn't have to wait long because she woke almost the moment they stopped.

Blairs hands went out to help Shayne sit up, but stopped short. The younger woman had been the one to initiate their touching for the most part, Blair needed to keep it that way, for fear of upsetting her sister. Her tone was soft and tender as she spoke to her. "I need to get some gas. You don't have to get out if you don't want to. " she folded her hands in her lap and held them there to keep herself from touching her sister. "I can get you stuff from inside if you want anything?" She offered as she put the truck into drive to move to a pump where she cut the engine and waited for her answer. If Shayne did want to get out and stretch, Blair would not leave her side.

(Sorry took so long car got stuck in the snow)

Shayne yawned and looked around she looked around confused a minute. Shayne looked at the gas pumps with and odd look. She never been to a gas station."I need to go to the bathroom." She said and slowly opened her door. She looked around and slowly stepped out putting her hood up."Umm I will look but I really have to go." She said. She ran inside her hood up and went to the bathroom. She used it and went to wash her hands. She avoided the mirror and walked out. She looked over the drinks then the food.

She looks over as the store manager walked over. She stepped back, he smiled gently at her. Shayne nods to him and ran out the door. She ran and hid behind Blair. She hugged her and hid into her. She shook,"I didn't anything was just looking." She said. She didn't want to get in trouble. She hadn't done anything but look. The store manager rushed out after her. "Hey, is this your sister?" He asked."I just wanted to give her these she looks half starved I didn't mean to scare her. Your gas is on me."He said and smiled at them he handed Blair candy and drinks in a bag. He nods to them and backed up holding his hands up.

Shayne just held onto her step sister, she looked through her hair and stayed wrapped around her. She felt safe with her sister. Shayne just clung to her till the store manager was inside. She looked up at her."Can we go please?" She asked her step sister. She just wanted to keep driving away from here. She was still afraid they come after her.

"Okay." Blair said and jumped out after her, using her long legs to keep up. She licked her lips and waited at the door to the bathroom. "I have to go to the bathroom too. I'll be right out." she said as Shayne went to go look around the store. She'd scanned the store while waiting, and it was just the clerk behind the counter, so she thought it might be okay. Despite her plans to stick to Shayne like glue the younger woman seemed alright looking at the candy wracks, so she told the clerk she needed to fill up on the fourth pump and went outside to start pumping.

Hearing the bell over the door ring brought her eyes from the dial that told her how much gas she'd pumped to watch as Shayne tore across the parking lot to hide behind her. She wanted to wrap her arms around her to assure her that she was safe, but one, that was touching Shayne didn't start, and two someone else came out of the store. She turned her head back looking at the man, he'd seemed kind and polite enough when she'd asked for gas. "She is, and whatever you think she took she didn't." Her tone, and posture were defensive.

Her brow furrowed at his words and behavior. She'd never seen someone act like that before. "Thank you." she said as she watched him go, the food in one hand, the other resting lightly against one of the arms wrapped around her. "Yeah." she said softly still looking at the store a moment before turning slightly so she could look at her sister behind her. "Yeah, hop in." she opened the drivers side door so Shayne could get in and slide across to her side instead of going around. She offered her hand to help her up regardless of if she took it. She'd been ready to punch the man in the face if he'd come too close, and she hadn't had to. The pump stopped and she quickly put the the nozzle back and closed up her tank before getting in and Looking at her sister as she started the truck.

"Okay? He didn't touch you did he?" he may have been kind, but if he'd touched her there would be problems. It was rude to touch someone who you don't know or who doesn't know you. At least that was how she felt about it.

Shayne hid clinging to Blair. She watched the man with a slight glance. when her step sister said hop in. She got in and slid over to her seat and curled up in the blanket. Shayne was glad she didn't have to go around. She sighed and let out a huff. She looked in the bag and pulled out some of the candy. She picked a lollipop pop and opened it. She looked around and she sucked on it and held onto the end.

Blair got in and turned on truck. She jumped and looked around again. She looks at Blair and shook her head."No he didn't." She said. She pulled the lollipop out and drank some water and leaned on the window, she put her hands in her jacket and pulled out a bag with pills in it. She forgot she had them."Want some?"she asked her. She wasn't sure where her sister drew the line. She didn't really have a line. Shayne had taken everything under the sun. She would throw them out if Blair didn't want any.

Shayne got comfy in her seat and wrapped the blanket around her. She watched the road. She wondered where they were going."Where we going?" She asked. She watched the streets as the truck moved. Shayne wasn't hiding now and she was only shaking and she was cold. She munched on some of the snack. She ate little, but was starting to eat more now. She drank some water and played with her jacket sleeve. She was picking at the hole in it. It was weird for her."you I don't hate you for leaving me I get why you left." She said.

DeathToAllBetrayers

Blair cursed herself for startling Shayne and gave an apologetic look even as she nodded and muttered a "Good." as they left the gas station parking lot. When asked if she wanted something she looked over at Shayne wishing she'd put her head back in her lap, but looked back at the road. "Not now, not if it'll put me to sleep. Keep a hold of them though." she did pain pills, and sleeping pills, and had done X a few times, but she was pretty happy with her weed or acid. If Shayne didn't like what she had, Blair knew some people she could trade with if they went to Washington. she hoped thats where Shayne wanted to go but didn't put any stock in it. "You can fire up that blunt if you want."

Feeling the cold herself, after seeing how Shayne curled into her blanket and how her shaking had changed, she turned on the heat. It blew at their feet and faces. At the question though she bit her lip and said. "Thats up to you actually. Where did you want to go to school? You were wait listed at Brown University right? You could go to Yale or Dartmouth if you wanted. There are a couple of schools in Florida, Texas, Michigan an Washington state that accepted you." she chanced a glance at her and said, "You're scores despite everything are excellent, you have your choice. You can go where ever you want to go."

She kept her eyes on the road for the most part, as was safe driving practices. But when Shayne said she didn't hate her for leaving her eyes cut away from the road again and she looked at her sister clearly shocked. She jerked her attention back to the road when someone honked, not at her but there had been the sound and it got her attention where it needed to be. "What?" she said weakly. "How could you not?" Blair hated herself for what she did, how could Shayne not hate her? She didn't understand and that was clear in her confused expression as she looked at the road.
