Thomas heard the foot steps behind him and spun round Carly standing there. At first he was a bit embarrassed to be standing naked with a wet towel round his waist, and as he was composing himself, the towl began to slip off and he snatched it before he reaveled too much of himself.


He gulped and spoke in a barely controlled tone "T-thanks for pulling me out of the woods, but who are..." His gaze went around the place. Clean as it was it didnt seem like a kind of place for a girl to stay, from his view of things at least. "Is this Jake's place?"

she smiled. she could tell that he seemed edgy about it all. because of his name for the boy wolf "it" maybe, she thought, he didnt like it all that much or he didnt think about it.

hello Renesme he said looking at her. she seemed nice for a vampire. he always remembered them as blood sucking devils. she was different though. was it because of her half human?
 
Renesme looked at him curiosly "Why did you protect me?" she asked quietly.


Carly chuckled and nodded "Yeah. I'm Carly, his little sister. You probably don't see me much. I take online classes." she said and tossed him a pair of jeans and a black t shirt.
 
Jacob emerged from the forest and watched everything as it transpired. Bella being as emotional as usual, even as a vampire when all she could do was cry tearlessly. But he always admired the astronomical love she had for her child. Seeing that everything was under control, he nodded to Edward, 'I guess I'll be leaving now,' he told him and trotted off. Once he hit the woods, he broke into a run after his sister.


Jacob followed the scent back to his own small house. He stopped in the woods outside where he kept a precautional change of clothes for circumstances like this one where he ripped through his clothing in an emergency. He shifted back into human and pulled on a pair of khaki shorts before jogging into the small house. Jacob's eyes went wide as his gaze flickered between his littler sister, Carly, and the almost naked Thomas. In actuality, Thomas wasnt what bothered him, it was the decency of his sister he worried about. "Uhh..." Jacob stammered, standing in the doorway.
 
Carly rolled her eyes "I know. I know. Go put some actual pants on." she said and stalked out of the room. She slipped on a pair of jeans and walked back out, "There." She sat at the table and looked axpectantly at Jacob. She was ready for the big lecture he usually gave her when she wore the type of clothes that she had been wearing.

when Jacob came, she wanted him to stay. she missed him, he was a good friend. "umm, Edward... i-i have to go"she said starting to walk off. something didnt feel right. something felt wrong. like someone who was important to her, was in bad trouble. once she got to the start of the forest, she looked back and waved to her daughter and husband, then walked in. it reminded her, of the time she first found out (and was told by edward) that edward was a vampire. it was pretty. she sighed and ran. she felt alive, a blur, she felt wonderful.

"i just feel the need to help younger kids... because i never was.." he said, remember his parents and him were in a fire, and no one came to help. his parents got him out, then his parents went back in, trying to save his sister, but died trying.

At first Thomas stood there speechless as Jacob came into the room. Though his gut relaxed when his gaze was more focussed on his sister. As soon as she left the room, he turn to Jake and quickly said "Yeah i think 'ill do that too." He walked out of the room into what was a bathroom and got into Jacobs cloths. The genes fitted ok, the Top was a little tight, but he felt he coult get away with it. Walking back into the room, he saw them both in there again, and took a breath.


"I remember eveything about last night, and no offence meant, but again...what the hell are you people?" He quickly glanced to Carly. "Oh, ummm and thanks for pulling me out of the woods."
 
Jacob shifted his weigh uneasily, "I don't know exactly how to explain," he began, "But we're werewolves...I guess 'shapeshifter' would be a better way to describe it, though, since we can turn into wolves at will and it has nothing to do with fullmoons and folklore mumbo jumbo. The ability was passed down from our ancestors, from father to son...Which makes me wonder about you're case...Do you have any family from here or something?"

she smelled Jacob from a mile away. she rolled her eyes and began to run. she reached where Jacob, Carly, and a almost naked boy was. she was puzzled "umm..." she said looking at the boy. she glanced a look at Carly then looked at Jacob "i um, thought someone was in trouble... i could feel in..." she said regretting herself going after Jacob. she stood there looking like a puppy who just say a snake.
 
Carly stood up as Bella entered "Thank, God." she said. She grabbed Bella's hand and led her outside, "Nothing's wrong just that Jake's mad because I brought this guy I found passed out in the woods home." she said and crossed her arms.
 
"Not that I know of." Thomas said as he sat down on a couch. "Let's just say my father isn't what you'd call parent material. He's no monster or anything, he's in the slammer now. I doubt he'll notice i'm gone though. As for my mother, she died when i was young and i dont know if she was...well anyway, how come it's happening now? I thought people turn in their early teens. At least that's what some legends say."

"oh" she said blushing a bit "Well, um hi Carly" she said smiling at her "long time no see" she said hugging her "so, is everything OK?" she asked, looking at Jake then at the wolf boy.
 
"Well," Jacob said, "Somethines the gene skips a generation. It usually shows up when there are vampires around, it kinda pops up as a natural defense mechanism. It could have been a reaction from being in the area, you probably subconcisiously sensed something in the air or something...I have no idea,"
 
Bella.::.


"hmm..." she said, trailing off "so hows it go?" she said smiling at Carly "you have grown so much!" she said, surprised the last time she saw her was when she was 13.
 
Carly shrugged "I don't go to school out here anymore. I go to the public one. I first changed last year around my birthday...and niw here I am." she said and sat at the red, paint-chipped picnic table.
 
Bella.::.


"hm.. dont you ever get afraid you might change when you get mad? and all those kids are standing around?" she asked, imagining being a wolf. must be frustrating. always having to get dressed on and off and not knowing when you will or will not change.

she had to laugh at that, and she did. "cool" she said smiling. it was to cute "how old are you now?" she wondered, she looked 16 but want sure she was that age or not.
 
Carly looked at her "Can you not do math? You haven't seen me since I was 13. It's been 3 years." she chuckled, "I'm 16, Bella." She played with a loose string on her shirt.

she smiled. "i forgot how many years it has been" she said, embarrassed. she blushed and looked down "so, hows school?" she said looking up at her.
