Taylor continued with his lecture.

"This symbol is that of Saturn and Lead, we'll be getting into planets and how the relate to alchemy later, but for now know this symbol as lead."

He pointed to the symbol on the ground with his cane.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_07/lead.png.3f0091da3835030ea4eaa278c600fadf.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="140877" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_07/lead.png.3f0091da3835030ea4eaa278c600fadf.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

"This circle with the dot in it is gold and we are going to turn one into the other today."

Taylor produced another piece of lead from his pocket and tossed it onto the symbol for lead in the ground.

"You'll notice that there aren't any markings signifying for the time of this procedure and that's because I want it to be instant. There is no heat involved, no process symbols, only the elements. You'll find that the more complex a circle is, the less energy it takes to do, but the more simple it is... well."

At this Taylor struck the edge of the circle with his cane. At first it began to glow faintly, then it shone brilliantly throughout the class, filling the room with white light. Crackles could be heard from the circle and as the light died down from the circle a cloud of smoke could be seen above the symbol for lead, and in the symbol for gold there was a yellowish metal that had the same shape as the lead in the circle a few seconds ago. Taylor motioned for the metal to come to his hand, it obeyed and as he caught it he held it up for the class to see.

"Can anyone tell me what this is?"

He'd lift his head up to Lyuba, saying-
"They work off a disciplinary factor. And I'm aware they're quite evil. Don't want my first-years killing innocent animals. I'm not allowed."

He drew a wooden baton, showing it to her.

"I simply want them to expel it. They'll be scared off pretty good."

He'd stop speaking for a moment, as though in thought. He'd then lift his head back up, saying-

"The students are in for a long night. I plan on having a run through the woods until three o'clock. Tomorrow, probably mental defense."
"Okay well first in no hemisphere, during any season does the night begin at three o'clock...except in Alaska, that have thirty days of night, so perhaps you meant a long afternoon?...unless you meant three o'clock in the morning," She explained, crossing her arms, somewhat asking at the end when she looked at the wooden baton

"By they'll be scarred off do you mean the imp or the students?" She asked.

Once the teacher explained the basics of alchemy, followed by how it was truly just lead being turned into gold, Archene made a quiet, 'oh...' That did explain much. He, however, only nodded, for some reason not taking notes as he quietly paid attention to the class. "That would be gold, right, Sir?"

Savina watched the process of lead being turned into gold, taking note of the things she saw. She found the question to be kind of silly, I mean after all he bad just told them they'd be turning lead into gold so it seemed unnecessary to ask them what the element was, they should already know that it was gold. It seemed to early for a review seeing as how it was the first lesson, but she supposed this is what school was like.

"Correct again d'Oro"

After responding to Archene Taylor lifted the gold from his hand and split it into small particles, one for every student. The pieces then went to his desk where they would be taken after class.

"I'll tell you this all once, performing transmutations like the one I just did can be very taxing on the mind and body. You all will be using as many symbols as possible in your circles and we'll start with basic metals tomorrow. Also, every element used in a complex transmutation, like turning lead into gold, must go through a twenty-four hour purification process in a circle similar to the circle involving zinc on the board. Does anyone have any questions before class is dismissed?"

Savina raised her hand slightly, she was told she would have to do things like that in school, but Baba Yaga knew anything about school, she was unsure. The woman was born before school was invented and lived in the forest all her life, but she dare not argue with her. "If it takes a 24 hour purification period to turn lead into gold, then how we're able to make it instantly? Does that mean this gold is toxic or temporary?"

"Good question Savina. The gold I created is genuine, but I did have to put the lead I used through a purification process prior to the transmutation. Pure ingredients result in a pure outcome. If the lead had any impurities in it when I preformed the transmutation it would have backfired and resulted in the destruction of the lead and little else."

After answering this question Taylor addressed his class.

"That will be all I'll be teaching on today. My name is Doctor Zachary Taylor, You can call me Doctor Taylor, or just Doc. I'm not picky. Thank you all for attending and welcome to Treadstone, I hope you enjoy the rest of your classes."

With that, Taylor opened the door to his class with the swing of a hand and the bell dismissing everyone sounded.

"Class dismissed."

@Milus

"Well, if you'll excuse me, I need to go, there is a class I'll be teaching in about thirty minutes, have fun scaring the viaţă out of your students, hopefully they don't pass out running today...at least not until they come back, now the question is, what exactly I should go over today,"

She bids Sesler farewell, giving a casual wave as she walked away and back into the school building. She entered her classroom and used her second pentalce to write a few glyphs on the board. Above everything she wrote the words Necromancy, deciding to go over the first school of magic for today, besides she thought the subject would be very interesting to go over today.

She then opened up her magical history book and sat in front of the class, waiting for the students to arrive so she could get on with her first days of teaching. She was kind of excited.

"I see, good to know, thank you for answering my question professor Taylor," Savina replied, gathering her books as the bell rang to go to her next class which seemed to be magical history. She walked down the halls and made her way to the magical history class. The first thing she noticed when she got to the class is that everything was written in gyphs, glyphs that anyone could understand, but still interesting. She then took this time to sit down, the desk were kind of in an arc or circle so there really was no back of the class so she just sat somewhere on the end.

Archene briefly looked back at the student asking the question, certainly a very intelligent question. He nodded a few times in understanding, It seems that there are others who don't want the class to lag behind. He pondered briefly before gathering his things briefly saying, "Thank you for the class, Doctor Taylor."

Soon enough, he made his way to the Magical History class. Arriving there, he also noticed the glyphs... shrugging briefly he took a seat and waited for the class to start, looking at the board pretty intensively as if trying to understand what the glyphs meant. Was I suppose to be understanding this as well?

Once the students entered the class room and took their seats, she would smile and wave to them, before she began.

"Good morning students, welcome to your first magical history class. I have decided that today we shall start the school year with a lesson on Necromancy,"

She gestures to the board behind her and there are glyphs written in magic, it's Titles Necromancy and underneath is the symbol for the school of Necromancy along with some other information.

"For those of you whom don’t know necromancy is the practice of communicating with the dead, it is also known as Necrokinesis, Necro Magic or Undeath Magic. Necromancy gives the user the power to utilize magic involving the dead, life force and or souls. Necromancy is also believed to have been invented some time after Greece in just before Medieval times as the original word for it Necromantia is in late Latin and not Greek though they are unsure since the word was borrowed from the Greek word νεκρομαντεία. So does anyone have any questions about Necromancy they'd like answered?"

Robin stared blankly, unsure of where to start. "How long can you keep something... alive-ish? Or... what would you call it rather?" She hoped her question wasn't stupid.

Lyuba shrugged, nodding to the student's question.

"Well, Robin to answer your question, the amount of time one can keep something animated depends on the Necromancers ability and the amount of magic used to keep the corpse moving. This also depends on the condition of the remains, if there's nothing to reanimate or resurrect then it just won't work, that is unless you're dealing with a soul, in that case you may place the soul in say a suit of armor, it's not flesh but it serves as a body, then it just depends on how long you can keep the soul attached to its medium. Does that help?"

She nodded slowly, taking a mental note. It sort of made her skittish thinking about flesh suits and souls. She wondered if she could do it at all honestly.

"If Necromancy is supposed to be the practice of communicating with the dead then how did it develop into controlling life force, corpses and souls?" Savina asks, a bit curious, she'd never known that this art was meant to be form of communication with the dead.

"To answer you question Savina it was greed and grief and good intentions believe it or not. As you might imagine necromancy was created to communicate with loved ones whom had been lost, but for some people simply talking to them was not enough so they opted to find away to bring their loved ones back from death completely. As you might imagine once they found a solution there were many kings or would be kinds whom would love to have an u stoppable unreadable army, soldiers whom don’t need rest, food or water that can't be killed, against a mortal army their victory would be all but guaranteed, especially when they started to use necromancy for divination, having an undead army and insight into the future is a deadly domination for those whom don’t know how to combat it," Lyuba explains to not only Savina but the entire class.

"I see, an interesting set of circumstances indeed," Savina starts to write the information down in her notebook, finding it to be both interesting and useful at the same time. She was starting to see both the point and appeal to this whole schooling thing. She adujusted her hat and looked around the classroom to the other students for a moment before she turned back to the lesson.

"Well student that will be all for today, you may call me Ms. Lovell, or Lovell, whichever works for you. Now as interesting as necromacy might seem I suggest that those of you whom aren't familiar with it, consult you summoning teacher as necromancy is a form of conjuration. I hope you all have a good day and that you enjoyed this class. You are all dismissed, enjoy the test of your day and hopefully the rest of your classes," Lyuba smiles and opens the door as the bell ri ts marking it was time for their next class and waited for all the students to exit the room.

Gus walks into his class room leaving his door open and walks down to his podium with water bottle in hand. He sets it on his desk and stands behind the podium waiting for his students to arrive

Once again Savina gathers her books and prepares to go to her next class, mythical beasts class. This one should be interesting, maybe the teacher could tell her rather Baba Yaga's hut was classified as a beast or boiling. She was never really sure, it seemed mostly like a normal house with the exception of the giant chicken legs. As she entered the classroom, she looked at the board and saw the questions written down and raised an eyebrow to the last two questions."Aren't those really more like two halfs of the same question rather than two separate questions?" Savina asked "I mean when a phoenix dies? Doesn't really seem like a complete question, but you're the expert not me," With that Savina took her seat, somewhere in the back, she didn't really like being the center of attention, she wasn't quite used to interaction with others quite yet.

Robin closed her notebook, clearing her head of all things dead. The class bothered her for some strange reason she couldn't quite place. She took a deep breath, exiting quickly. She entered her next, glad to see there were seats open towards the front. She cursed herself realizing she had forgotten to talk to Doctor Taylor. She hung her head in defeat, looking at the questions. She had no clue, but tried to remember the best she could.

Gus smiled as his students started to enter the classroom "Now I know I skipped out on the introduction part of orientation but I'll do that now" Gus said with a surprisingly loud voice "I am August Dunning, but you should call Me Mr. Dunning. I am your teacher for Trapping, caring for, and hunting Mythical Beasts. This will be a hands on class, if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask." He said ending the last part with a kind smile "If you look down at the desk in front of you, you'll see four books laid out in front of you. these will cover how to Care for, Trap, hunt, and the biology of the Phoenix" Gus said gesturing towards the books on the desks "Do not expect me to lay out your books for you. I will tell you what books you will need for the next class you will get them from the bookshelves lining the side walls" He adds sternly pointing to the bookshelves.

"Now does anyone what to answer any of the three questions I have written on the board?"
Gus asks looking over his students. Gus looks back at the board "Oh silly me I miss wrote a question" He laughs and walks over to the chalk board

Question 1. How long does a Phoenix live for?

Question 2. What happens when a Phoenix dies?

Question 3. Does a Phoenix truly die?

Robin raised her hand and spoke up, "Sir, I may be mistaken completely but I thought that a phoenix couldn't die?" She spoke, trying to sound confident.

Savina raises her hand sighing "If I remember correctly a phoenix dies but only for a few moments then it goes through reincarnation and is Reborn from its own ashes as a newborn once it has reached the end of its old age,"
