Lyuba Lovell enters the auditorium, stretching and yawning as she made her way to the stage, sitting in a chair at the end of the line on the right side of the podium. She seemed to be first to arrive staff or student, so she simply leaned back in beir chair and relaxed waiting for everyone else to arrive.

"I have to say I did not expect to the one whom was on time or first for that matter, but I guess the universe works in mysterious ways" she shrugged.

Savina walked into the auditorium, there only seemed to be one teacher there, but still she decided to sit in a seat in the back. Looking wound at her hands as she played with her fingers. Waiting for this orientation to begin.

Gus walked down the hall towards the auditorium with raven on his shoulder "Alright, now take it easy" He said to the bird as he walked up to a window and opened it letting the bird fly outside and go back to living a healthy life "Be careful!" He shouted to the Raven flying into the horizon. Gus walked into the auditorium hands behind his back and posture of a gentle man from the 1800's. He walked onto the stage and took the seat next to Lyuba "I take it you're excited to get get this started?" He asked his fellow teacher letting his fangs show through his kind smile.

Sesler lifted his thin-cut blade to eye level, diagonally across from shoulder to hip. It was a defensive stance, simple to the eye, yet the power lie in his feet. Turned at forty-five degree angles clockwise, he would be sideways to his opponent, a red-skinned demon. He'd speak telepathically, the beast insinuating a response.

Sesler, don't you have orientation to go towards?

I've been teaching my art for over forty years now. Although the orientation has a scheduled time, most mortal behavioral patterns allowed me to estimate a ten minute leeway.

Still, never hurts to be early.

I am a creature of the highest demand of efficient time use. Now, spar with me.

The connection was broke as blades were locked on the school's courtyard grounds. For most students, this was strictly forbidden. But, Sesler was a Self Defense professor, and reveled on the field. He slid his blade to the demon's cross guard, shifting his forward right foot towards his opponent as he arced the blades down. Toppling his frame, he'd dash to the side as the demon instinctively swung the blade in a groundsweeping arc meant to hack appendages off. The hellspawn would rise, swinging the demonic blade in overhead arcs to Sesler's defensive stance. The diagonal sword layout came to play as any torso shots were deflected and took but a mere slip of the wrist to cover the face. Sesler would push his blade sideways on one of the overhead thrusts, moving into the demon's inside space as his sword was outstretched behind him. Swinging a knee into the abdomen side, the demon let out a gasp of air before clutching to his ribcage, where Sesler then swung his blade in a crescent-moon shape, cutting the hip to shoulder. Stepping back, the beast would be expelled from the visible plane, his ash leaving a stain in the dirt. Picking up his duster, Sesler would turn, moving at a quick run to the auditorium.

Inside, he'd quickly navigate to a solitary seat near the podium. Looking to the students, his analytic Trini mind would decipher who would be suitable for his rigorous class. Decades of hardship from his never-changing class had rose both student hate and respect for the scarred, horrendously tall man with supposedly no emotion. His lanky frame didn't quite fit in the seat, his upper body much over the back.

He had big plans for this year's class. He pondered requesting a conjuration of a low-level being to act as a punching bag that fought back. He wasn't afraid of a student getting injured. It happens.

Lyuba shrugs with arms and legs crossed as she sat him her seat, turning her head slightly and smiled.

"I suppose you could say that, being a teacher will be quite different from being a fortune teller...might even be fun," She replied to her fellow teacher "And what about you, are you excited as well then?"

Savina watched as the teachers start to arrive these are the people she was to learn from this year. She stopped and wondered what her mother would think, she must have had some expectations since she sent her here to begin with, but what could she learn here that she couldn't learn from the legendary Baba Yaga? She wasn't sure, but she guessed not sleeping in a walking hut, wouldn't be so bad for a while.

Gus nodded at her answer "I look forward to pass on my knowledge to this generation" he said with his kind smile "What was your experience with fortune telling?" Gus asked turning to face her more intrigued with her now "I've met many fortune tellers in my years back in England, most were gypsies trying to make a quick coin and not a true fortune teller." Gus added thinking back to his time in England and how the world was a very different place.

Gus looked up to the new teacher as she said Good morning to them "And a good morning to you Ms" He said with a polite head nod. Normally Gus would tip his hat in return to anyone who offered him a greeting but that style of greeting went out back in the 1800's "Are you excited to get this year started off?" Gus asked the new teacher as she sat next to him, showing her a kind fanged smile.

Asa entered the hall, flustered, but still refined as per norm. As she headed toward her seat at the head of the room, she noted that there was only one student thus far. "Interesting. She's on time, but sits in the back. Very curious.' Once at the head of the room, Asa finds herself a seat near end of the row to the left. She greets everyone with a polite nod and a "Good morning, all." As she sits, she smooths out the wrinkles in her knee length skirt, and tucks a stray hair back behind her ear.

"Yes, I am." She smiles back. "It should be very exciting. I can hardly wait." He seems like a very kind man, and he had a very interesting smile. It was pointed, but welcoming. "I'm Asa, Asa West." She holds out her hand in greeting. "Pleased to meet you Mr... What was your name?"

By now, Sesler had opened the lengthy duster and layer his blade upon his outstretched knee. Reaching deep into an internal pocket made specifically for this purpose, he'd pull out a runic stone and began to hone the edge where his morning skirmish had nicked the metal.

He played no attention to the other teachers. Their orientations never differed nor their habits. He knew what to expect if he looked up. He'd run a hand down the developing black stubble on his chin, a bit of blackish blood coming off as well, from the demon. Content with the evened blade, he would holster it to his left hip. He'd look up at the increasing stream of students (assuming some NPC students here), some of them last-years of his. Some would nod, others would dodge his lingering gaze, and a few rowdier men would chant 'Ses' before sitting.

However, he neither grinned nor scowled. The gaze of inquisitiveness fell upon many, falling on a secluded one in the back. Based on her imminent posture and adjustment to a seat's contours, he assumed she was quite early. A mental exercise for him later. Whether students knew it or not, he preferred to be extremely detailed about many of them, his Trini need to expand his knowledge instinctively guiding his analysis. He'd maintain his gaze on the loner for a few moments, neither blinking or changing facial expressions, before looking back to the mahogany doorway. He'd eventually wipe his bloodied face with a rag, a good deal more than predicted in the velvet fibers.

Lyuba laughs at his greeting to other teacher.

"
Well first you should probably know that, that teacher is a man, next if you want to find a real Gypsy you should have gone to Romania, the Roman are the gypsy people and we are not frauds...or Italian,"She laughed. "Why experience with fortune telling is that is a vague warning from the universe, not a defined fate written in stone, it can always be changed, but most people don't understand that, they either think it's an absolute answer or absolute bull, which it is neither. I dealt with a lot of angry people who thought I was trying to steal their money ,"

Another student enters the auditorium, but Savina keeps to herself, remaining alone in a secluded corner, one of the teachers had started shaving right up on stage which made her raise and eyebrow for a moment, but she guessed it was more polite behavior than she was used to. She closed her eyes and sighed, running her fingers through her silver hair and crossed her arms before looking back to the stage, not because there was particularly anything interesting to look at ght just because her eyes happened to land in that direction.

A door in the back of the auditorium swung open and a hush fell over the crowd of students in attendance. Zachary Taylor walked into the auditorium and towards the podium directly in front of him. His jaw was set, his spectacles pushed up over his eyes, his cane making an o so familiar clack on the marble floor of his school. He took notice of his staff in attendance. Old friends accompanied by newer ones, and one mentor that didn't quite fit in his chair. His students so far looked promising, but naturally the doctor was a little perturbed by the missing students in attendance to their orientation.

Regardless of how many students there are, tradition is something I won't be changing any time soon.

Taylor climbed the stairs to get on the stage, taking them one at a time with as much dignity as one can have when they have to struggle up stairs.

This leg will be the death of me yet.

He smirked at his own thoughts, letting some emotion come through his normally stoic face. The headmaster went behind his podium, leaning his cane up against it and putting his hands where the grips of so many other speeches wore the stain away from the wood. He took a slight breath before beginning.

"Staff that are present, thank you for being here tonight for what is the unofficial kick off of our school year at Treadstone."

The doctor eyed the first student to arrive in the back and continued on.

"You ma'am have earned a great deal of respect from me just for being here first tonight, so thank you as well. This school has been here for generations, and generations of headmasters and teachers have been through these great halls. Far more generations of students have been in attendance and that's what myself and my staff are here for. We're here for you, because even if one of this world's gifted individuals can learn from us I'll consider myself a blessed man. In your time here I hope that we can help you refine what you know about your ability and teach you some new skills that will help you live in a society that is unaware of the magic that lies underneath it. So, without further ado, I'd like to introduce my staff. Asa West will be your teacher in summoning, Selser will be your instructor in magical and physical self defense, Lyua Lovell will be your teacher of magical history, August Dunning will be your trainer in the trapping, hunting, and care of magical creatures..."

The doctor eyed the vacant chair on his side reserved for the industrial arts teacher before continuing.

"Your industrial arts teacher isn't present, but I'll be your Alchemy teacher and headmaster for your time at Treadstone. Thank you all for attending this brief speech of mine, if you have any questions ask me or some of your teachers. We're all knowledgeable I swear. Welcome to the Treadstone School of Odd Phenomenon and Arcane Arts ladies and gentlemen. I hope you enjoy your time here, because I will."

With that the middle-aged man grabbed his cane from the side of the podium and left the way he came, the silence in the room persisting until the door to the auditorium shut behind him.

Gus looked at the woman grey eyes looking her over and at her out stretched hand "I'm August Dunning, But you can call me Gus" He said shaking Asa's hand. "Now what do you teach Ms. West?" He asked politely "I'm teaching Mythical Beasts" Gus adds before turning back to the teacher on his right "They're were a few gypsies in England back in the mid 1700's" He says looking up thoughtfully trying to remember all the way back to his Teenage years. "And from what I can recall the gypsies that went to England were scammers and only wanted to make a quick coin." Gus said with a smile "And I know what Fortune telling is and how it can always change." He added with a slight coldness " I have no doubt you haven't met a dissatisfied costumer as many have." Gus said to her with a smile.

Gus listened to the Zachary's Speech and watched him leave and after the door shut he stood up "It was nice meeting you ladies but I must bid you adieu and get back to preparing for my classes" He said before walking off the stage and out the door.

As Taylor left, Sesler noted his respect for the man. He knew the last Headmaster, and for someone so young to fill the shoes was impressive. As he left, Sesler immediately stood, spreading his arms open in a widening gesture. He spoke, in a voice deep and hardened, from years of being hit in the ribs and stomach.

"For the few that arrived, you will call me S, Ses, or Sesler. For I am a Trini, and mortal respect isn't a need. However, attention to what I teach is. There will be no sugarcoating; my class will make you hate me and everything about me. I recommend, no, NEED you to properly stretch before and after every defensive class. You will be hurt. You will be exhausted. You will feel unqualified after the regime of my class."

"For it is a serious matter. You dabble in the world of magic and beasts every day. Some are midguided. Some are inherently evil. I do not simply teach how to wield a sword. I teach the mentality of fighting, and how to incorporate your abilities into it. The stances you will learn are of Trini in design and therefore taxing on the mind. If you do not know much about the Trini race, we are simply a more logical humanoid. Trying to get me to pity you will not work, as emotion are subsidiary to me."

Pacing the stage with his hands in his duster, he'd continue.

"Don't fear. There will still be some form of entertainment. After all, I plan on having my pupils put their newfound knowledge to the test. I will host sparring separately with a different theme everyday. Oh, and I'm always looking for a good chess partner. Been a couple decades."

He'd sit down once more, his tower of height encompassing the chair underneath him.

"And for the sake of comfort, I need a custom chair!"

Archene enters the auditorium, looking at the varied teachers and students present. Certainly, some aren't even human. He sighed quietly before taking a sit around the center of the first row, the speech starting even before he was able to take a seat.

Once the headmaster briefly thanked a student on the back, he turned his head a bit to glance back to look at the student. Better to remember some faces, it seems... Not to allow himself to be distracted for too long he looked forward once more to listen to the rest of the speech.

After both the headmaster and a teacher left, Archene quietly paid attention to Sesler. An Ancient! I was told I would be meeting more exotic races, but an Ancient! Archene didn't exact feel too troubled, it wasn't as if they had the worst of the histories among all the magical creatures. He let out a sigh, and then another at the end of the Ancient's speech. At least, he would be teaching a 'fun' class, and though he knew he'd likely lose, a game of chess against an Ancient... might be fun. Not today, however.

Gus listened to the Zachary's Speech and watched him leave and after the door shut he stood up
"It was nice meeting you ladies but I must bid you adieu and get back to preparing for my classes" He said before walking off the stage and out the door.
"I teach Summoning. It's a very interesting subject, and if you ever wish to discuss it, I'd be happy to oblige."

As Asa listens to Doctor Taylor give his speech, she looks out at all the students. Though it is a smaller group, it is obvious that these are the students that will be truly investing in their education. The thought of teaching all those minds ready to learn, fills her with energy!

Once Doctor Taylor finishes and is out of the hall, Asa waves at Gus as he leaves the hall. 'He seems kind. I rather like him.' Shortly there after, the tall figure at the end begins introducing himself to the room. It is a rather smart idea. Once he finishes, Asa begins a polite round of applause.

"Well, if we are going over introductions," Asa stand to her feet. "I'll go next. My name is Asa West, and I will be your instructor in the arts of Summoning or what some might call Necromancy. We will be going over the three levels of summoned beings, and how to harness the energy to actually perform a proper summoning. If you are to be in my class, I require you to be willing to except new ideas that may seem odd, or ever plain out strange. If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask away. I'm here to help you expand your minds and abilities. I am a free resource, so don't be afraid to use it. That's all for now."

Lyuba stretched hopping up from her chair and walked to the podium deciding that she might as well make her introduction as well.

"Hello, students, my name is Lyuba Lovell and I will be your magical history teacher I will be teaching you about all eight schools of magic and history behind them. Now I know that sounds depressing, most of you might find history to be boring, but you don't need to worry about that because one of the things I hate most in this world is being bored. So with that being said expect my class to be fun...at least it can be if you pay attention and stay on my good side, do not take my personality to mean I am a push over, if you make me mad...you may very well be begging to go to self defense class. So I guess that's it for me," Lyuba leaves the podium and goes back to sit down.

Gus walked down the hall to the far side of the school towards his class room. Walking inside the room Gus smiled as he was happy to be teaching about how to trap, hunt, and care for Magical beasts. "I've got a long road ahead of me, and I must make this the perfect room for teaching." He said to himself, leaving the door open Gus walked over to the far wall that was made out of glass so he could show his students some of the great beasts that wouldn't fit into this class room. Gus walked behind his podium and looked at the rows of seats in the classic lecture hall fashion so even the students in the back can see what is being done on the demonstration floor.

Gus walked onto his demo floor and started making a complex summoning circle so he could bring the beasts into the class room and have a more hands on class.
"Done" He said looking at the complete summoning circle with a satisfied smile on his face "Now to summon the books for class" Gus mumbled and summoned a huge pile of books on trapping, caring for, biology on the beasts, and only the minimum on hunting as he hates killing any animal unless it's justified. Gus began putting the books on the bookshelves that lined the side walls. He put the books in groups, the hunting books went on the shelves farthest away from his podium and were organized by beasts. Trapping went to the Shelves next to the Hunting and were organized the same way, Biology went on the shelves next to trapping, and Caring for went on the shelves closest to Gus's podium.

Savina listens to all the speeches, she supposed she'd never learned how to summon before and that maybe learning about the history of magic could help her increase her magical knowledge, but she couldn't have but slightly smirk at the self defense teacher's speech. She was not cocky she didn't believe she could beat him, however; there were things she couldn't help but find amusing, the thought that anyone would think she wanted sympathy or pity or the fact that he thought his class would make her hate him. She wasn't exactly fond of him, she knew nothing about him, but one does not live and train and Baba Yaga and hold grudges for being injured. "Well, I suppose this school isn't all that bad, maybe I'll actually enjoy myself here,"

After leaving the auditorium, Zachary began to head towards his classroom. He could've gone to the headmaster's office after his introduction, but after three years of being Treadstone's headmaster he still didn't feel worthy of going there for anything that wasn't necessary.

Too many memories there. Too many ghosts.

Taylor opened the door to his room and sat down in the wooden chair behind his cluttered desk. He folded his hands over his cane and rested his head on his hands, going into deep thought about what had been done in the past and what needed to be done to secure his school's future. After of what would have looked like ages of introspection to an outsider the headmaster took five marbles out of the bag in his suit pocket and began twirling them in the air. The marbles rotated around him in steady circles as he grabbed a small chalkboard, a hammer, a nail, and his cane. With those items in hand, Taylor walked outside his classroom and nailed the chalkboard to the wall to the right of his door. He then pulled out a piece of chalk and wrote.

Class will begin tomorrow at 10am (mountain time) bring yourself and your brain.

taylor signed his name to the board and went back into his classroom with a little whistle, locking the door behind him, His marbles still rotating about him.

Disconsidering the absent teacher, those should be all the introductions for the day. Archene sighed. All of them seemed to have interesting things that they could teach him. He wouldn't be here, if they didn't have any, of course. The history class and the summoning classes seemed like they would be interesting enough. They probably will have more content here than the tutors back home.

Lyuba stands seeing as how orientation seemed to be over, she stepped down from the stage and walked down the isle past the students and through the mahogany doors. She walked down the hall to what would be her classroom. She leaned on her hand and tapped her chin with her fingers.

"The vibe in this room is not chill, thr vibe in this room is very stuffy...and it must change,"

Lyuba then began rearrange the desk into more of an arch or circle with her desk and board still in front when she closed her eyes and sat down in the middle and started meditating, signing in relief as she relaxed.

"Now, that is much better,"

Savina sighs, the orientation seems to be over so, she stands up and leaves the room, deciding to roam the halls while she could to try and get a feel for them and lean where all the rooms were. Knowing her surroundings became a habit of hers over the years, almost an instinct, it hugged her if she didn't know where everything was. Once she was done she would find her room but for the moment being she walked, stopping for a single moment to memorize the room numbers and names until she got to the end of the hall and. Lower her eyes, whispering to herself as she recited the room numbers and names when she walked back down the hall to see if she was correct when she saw that she was she simply nodded and went on with her tour.
