There is, however, magic. So if Godric was feeling particularly cruel he could have a Witch, or perhaps another vampire I'm not 100% if they can do that, wave their hands over her and give him control of some kind over her. Maybe voodoo doll stuff so he can twist her arm to get her to do stuff.
 
oooh, love that!!! i love the idea that early on in her “new life,” she stepped out of line in some way and he enlisted a witch to “teach her a a lesson” voodoo doll style. 💀 listen, torture builds character
