Realistic or Modern тнє тняσηє σƒ ηιgнт - α ναмριяє яρ

i have a concept i wanted to ask about! so i know that the monster hunters will all be gm-controlled npcs, but would the concept of a human-turned-născut who used to be affiliated with the monster hunters be at all feasible?

I love that idea, though either the fact that they used to be a hunter would have to be a secret, or there would have to be a sound reason for them being at Court, like maybe they saved the life of one of the Heirs of the big families and are now under their protection?

The Wyldes or Karnsteins would be good bets for that, since the Karnsteins have that honor code and the Wyldes are more accepting of any arcane diversity in their ranks, and both are strong enough not to be messed with.

I’m interested! I have a concept of a lycanthrope character in the house of Wylde. The character never got accepted by a pack so became fiercely loyal to House Wylde. I don’t know what their role would be in the house though.

ahhh this look so interesting im ready. I was thinking maybe a Strigoi with one Moroi parent or a witch. Maybe from house house varney. I'm fine with anything though!

The CS thread is now open!

As we said, we're giving about a week to get profiles in, though with the holidays of course we understand if more time is needed.

Please do plot with us and with each other for and during your character creation, since dynamic character relationships are really what make an RP great! We hope to see a good breadth of species, ages, genders, and personalities represented across the board, so please keep that in mind as you brainstorm character concepts.

Some ideas for characters it would be great to have:
-A witch friend/confidante/attendant for Mara
-An heir for the militaristic Karnstein family
-A dhampyr bodyguard for the Ruthven family
-An heir for the refined Varney family
-Non-Moroi members of House Wylde

(Flavor info for each of the Houses can be found here and here.)

Let us know if you have any questions and let's plot plot plot!

Happy holidays~

ahhh i'm so glad you're up for the idea! in that case, i'm probably going to go with house wylde if that's okay c: i see that wylde needs some members, of course, but also i genuinely just really am drawn to the idea of a younger house that has carved out a name for itself through ambition, determination, and unconventional approaches (as far as accepting more than just vampires into their ranks).

i'm torn about whether to have it be known that my character was a hunter or a secret—both options would be fun! if it was a known fact, i can imagine there being hostility/suspicion directed towards my character, since even if the council did approve the decision to have her sired, i don't imagine every vampire would be thrilled with that decision, and that would be fun for tension purposes. on the other hand, if it's a secret (known only to the sire and council, i'm guessing?), there could be a potential dramatic reveal later down the line, someone possibly outing her as an ex-hunter or something along those lines, for drama and conflict in-character.

i suppose a good place to start would be figuring out how she got sired! Soviet Panda Soviet Panda would godric ever potentially sire an ex-hunter? if not, i could leave it vague for now and try to plot that out more if more vampires join wylde?

Good morning and Merry Christmas to everyone! I will probably be seldom online until after the holidays, but I am intrigued and will do a more thorough look through afterwards, cheers!

Under the right circumstances, he would. He could be cruel about it and have them come back as a vampire as a cruel joke. Or, if they willingly wanted to become one, to prove a point that he's in control in the Americas, since there really isn't a Seethe there.

!!! OH. i am actually really, really into the idea of him having sired her into a vampire as a cruel joke. it would be a really tense situation to see play out! like, she would kind of have to go along with things because she's deep in vampire territory, so if she tried to fight back at all, she'd be cut down in an instant.

hmmm. maybe we could say that maybe she, for whatever reason, was personally sent to try and assassinate godric, but obviously failed, and he turned her as a cruel joke? that's just an idea, of course, i'd be open to other ideas too!!

the concept i had for her is that she was something of a child soldier among the monster hunters, although i'm sure they made an effort not to frame it that way. like the way they spoke of it, it was "this orphan child had her life ruined by vampires, so we did the right thing and took her in," but in reality it's more of a "children are easily moldable, so traumatized children who have already been primed to hate vampires and their ilk are perfect for grooming the next generation of monster hunters." either way, she grew up with a lot of monster hunter propaganda being fed to her, and while her situation of being turned into a vampire would be her worst nightmare at first, i think it would turn out to be an effective way to deprogram her from everything the hunters taught her and also make her realize the hunters are their own type of monster.

She wouldn't still be a child when she got Turned though, right? I forgot to add the 'children can't be vampires' rule to the Lore so that's on me, but yeah xD

oh no, sorry if i wasn't clear there! she would have been an adult when she got turned for sure, it's just that she's been affiliated with the monster hunters since she was a child, so they had plenty of time to sink their claws into her with their propaganda during her formative years lol. c:

That works for me! Godric flexing his powers and having something to be like 'see what I got here, they tried to kill me because clearly im important and should be put in charge.' Either that or 'hey, you got past my guards, looks like I got a new one.'
