Futuristic Those That are Hunted

It took a long time for everything to calm down. Alpha was stuck in medical bay, healing all of those injured during Hayden's escape. By the time she was done she was exhausted. Everything was still on lock down so she was stuck in the infirmary. Sighing, Alpha took an empty bed and fell asleep. The next morning she was awoken by Claire calling her name. She groaned and rolled onto her back. "Whhatt?" She said in a groggy voice and rubbed her eyes. Claire smiled softly at her. "Breakfast is being served. And....and there is some new I must tell you." At that Alpha sat up and looked at her with a confused look. Was it something bad? Good? No it can't be good news. Not with that look. Claire moved out of the way so Alpha could get out of the bed. Alpha didn't bother putting her shoes on for she wasn't in the mood to do so. Following behind Claire, said person lead her to the mess hall. There weren't many people in there. Some were asleep but the rest were still running around getting things fixed. Security had to be tripled due to the fact that after Hayden and Piper left the rest of the prisoners were trying to escape as well.

Alpha walked up to see what they were serving. She sighed when she just saw eggs and some bacon. Guess this wasn't exactly their top priority. After she took some, she was curious as to why Claire didn't grab any. They took a seat at one of the many empty tables. Alpha wasn't really in the mood to eat she she just picked at her food. After a minute or so of no one talking, Alpha put the fork down and looked at Claire. "What is it that you wanted to tell me." Claire looked at Alpha in the eye. "We got a call not to long ago form the Chief." At that Alpha raised an eyebrow. "The prison in Germany that we took you from," "What about it?!" Alpha leaned forward her eyes filled with worry. What could have happened? "Hayden did head there. Unfortunately he was killed rather than captured." Alpha rolled her eyes. She was glad that man was gone from this world. "But the prison was taken over by the rebels that were there." "What about Amelie? Vulcan?" Claire hesitated before speaking. "There was a call placed in from Agent Larassa...there was a request to shut off everyone's watches but Her's, Amelie's and two others with them that were able to leave. Form what I was told, Vulcan, he..he chose to stay with the rebellion." At that Alpha felt her heart skip a beat. How could he do that. How could he leave her and most importantly leave Amelie like that? Alpha hung her head low. "When it is morning their time you can call Amelie if you wish but as of now you are still assigned duties in the medical bay." Claire stood up and walked over to her and gave her a hug. "Everything will be alright." She whispered. Alpha shoved her aside and got up from her seat. "No it won't be!" She yelled and stormed out of the mess hall.

Right when she was out of side from everyone tears started roll down her face. Alpha only had so many people she could really call family and Vulcan was among one of them and now he left her too. She could only image what Amelie was going through. Even before Alpha officially met Amelie, she knew about her cold reputation. Amelie never personally cared about anyone, at least until Vulcan came into her life. Alpha knew Amelie always cared about Alec, but he didn't count, he was her brother. Alpha leaned against the wall and slid down so she was sitting on the ground. "Oh Vulcan, what made you leave us?" Alpha watched started to flash and she opened the message. After reading it she leaned her head on the wall. And being transferred again does not help at all.

When Zachary and his squad is searching, one of his squad member name Hector tell him that their mission was not good and they don't like it. Zachary said " no we must finish our mission no matter what it takes". His squad members didn't listen to him and they said that they will kill him. Zachary think that they are just joking but they point their weapon to him. Zachary tried to step backward but when he look at his feet it was sealed in the floor. He didn't understand what's happening then he tried to use his power to free himself. But he was shocked when he can't produce poison anymore. His squad members begin to shoot at him. Zachary closed his eyes then he feel that someone is shaking him and he heard a voice saying "wake up". When he opened his eyes Hector is shaking him and telling him to wake up. Zachary make a little smile when he realized that he was just dreaming. He asked what happened to him and they said that he fell asleep. Zachary asked Hector why is he waking him up. Then Hector tell him that they already arrived to the camp. Zachary didn't expected that the place is very big. The helicopter stop at the top of the building then Zachary and his squad prepare to take off. Zachary told Hector that he need him to use his power ( Hector's gift is turning himself into a rubber) so that they could go inside the building from the top. Hector stretched himself down to the floor then Zachary and his other members slide down to Hector. While they are sliding down Zachary and his squad saw prisoners down at the bottom looking at them while they are sliding down. When they reach the floor, Zachary and his squad saw that the prisoners look liked that they are preparing to attack them. He and his team prepare themselves and see what will the prisoners will do to them.

Brandon had to sit in the front of the helicopter due to the fact that if he sat any closer his gift would effect everyone in his group. It sucked always having to stay a certain distance from them but he learned over the years to get over it. As the helicopter hovered over the top of the giant dome, Brandon couldn't help but wonder what happen here to cause the prison's defense to be so brutal broken. (The giant hole that piper caused) The sun was starting to set so he wanted to get this over with. Brandon had to wait as Zachary burned a hole into the dome and then Hector spread out like a rope to let everyone down. Once they where down, Brandon pulled out and actual rope, opened the door and leaned down to attach the rope to the helicopter. He stepped out and then carefully went down the rope he had to jumped down a few feet because the rope wasn't long enough to reach the ground. and landed where the rest of his group was. He instantly moved so that they were further than 15ft from him. Seeing all the other prisoners around them Brandon's eye shifted to Zachary. "If I am near you and they get close their gifts will be negated and right now that will be their only way of fighting." Though his would be negated as well. Personally he didn't want a fight. All he wanted to do was look for Rosalyn. He would tear this place apart looking for her. Right now as long as they weren't the ones to start the fight, he hoped that they would just come up and talk to them.

As Xander finished taking his shower, he wrapped himself in a towel and scowled at his soiled uniform. He'd have to wear one of the typical ones until he could get his personalized pair cleaned and fixed, as it had a few holes and tears here and there. Sighing, Xander exited the bathroom with his ruined uniform folded in his hands. Setting down the uniform on his bed, Xander then walked over to the wardrobe and pulled out a typical uniform, donning it before tossing his towel in a hamper and then standing in the middle of the room, as he had no idea what to do next. Usually, he's have some orders to follow, but there were no orders now. All Xander wanted was to find Celeste, but that was currently impossible. Frustrated by this, Xander scowled again and clenched his fists at his side, a few flames sparking up along his wrists. What had the agency done to Celeste? Where was she now?

Vulcan reached their room and unceremoniously entered without knocking or anything like that. "I swear, if you burn the building down..." he said in a bit of a warning tone, seeing Xander in the middle of the room with flames forming around his fists but decided against finishing that sentence as he wouldn't do anything to harm him, even if he was stupid enough to set their room on fire. Instead, he tossed the two pillows on his bed, along with the laptop. "What's going on?" he asked in turn. Xander was usually the calm type, something he always found to be odd compared to his aggressive and destructive gift.

Xander gritted his teeth and then looked at Vulcan before saying angrily, "I've spent all these years doing the agency's dirty work to keep Celeste and my child safe. Now I don't even know if either are still alive or if they're safe!" Despite his growing anger, Xander realized that burning their room down or possibly harming Vulcan wasn't going to solve anything. With a huff, Xander dismissed the flames from his fists and wrists, though his fists remained clenched tightly at his sides and his face was contorted into an expression of anger and frustration. Suddenly, Xander noticed the laptop on Vulcan's bed and his tone softened a bit into more of curiosity, as he asked Vulcan, "Where'd that come from? What's on it?"

When the computer was mentioned, Vulcan looked down at it, then back at Xander. "It's Amelie's. There might be files on it that could help us find out what has happened to your family." he said. "But I won't be able to get in." he continued. "If the security system was indeed developed by this one guy, I doubt anyone would be able to get in." He didn't doubt Alec made that thing. Amelie probably used this device for them to talk instead of her watch which was of course recorded.

Disappointed in the fact that they wouldn't be able to access the useful files, Xander then said, "Great. Real useful, that is." Sighing, Xander began to run a hand through his hair, though his hand was stopped short since he had his dreadlocks. Further annoyed by this, Xander dropped his hand and then said briefly as he brushed past Vulcan, "I'm going to try and find something productive to do. I'm only getting more and more restless sitting around with nothing to do."

"Go ahead. I won't stop you." he shrugged and walked over to the bed, picking up the computer again. "I'll try and do something with this crap. Not much that can go further wrong." he said and took a seat, placing the device in his lap and opening the display, only to be met with the password and fingerprint scan again. No doubt there was something else in there as well. He had only hacked smaller things in the past and that was already quite a while ago. He just wanted to be alone for a bit, get some rest.

Kytha + her dragon

Kytha slipped into the room. Her eyes scanning everything. Hearing a small grunt, she looked down. There, sitting at her feet, the small dragon. She crouched down and smiled. "Hey. It's ok. I promise. I've got you." As soon as the dragon heard the voice it looked up. The two sets of eyes interlocked and instantly the dragon bounded onto her chest. Nuzzling and griping her. Kythas eyes teared up and she let out a small laugh. "I missed you two sweet heart. I won't ever lose you again. I promise." Kytha slowly stood up with the dragon who continued to nuzzle and seemingly fall asleep. "You've probably not sleeved after your first night in here huh? Don't worry you're safe." Then Kytha tuned back into everything else around her and heard the barking. There was no mistaking the bark. It was Cody. The dragon climbed to kythas shoulder and she looked at the two men. "Lets get those other animals out." With that she turned on her heel and went to the door.

Forest + Toron

Forest got up and left without a word. Her red hair brighter then before. She walked into her cell and laid down before sighing deeply. After only a few minutes she had sat up. Her elbows resting on her legs while her head laid in her hands. She remembered it all so vividly. It had never been this bad before. Toron continued to walk around soon he passed the girl who had confronted his sister and saw her sitting there in almost pain and misery and confusion. Toron turned into the cell and walked to her. "Hey. You ok? I heard your screams. What was that all about? And I'm sorry about my sister. It's just best not to get on her bad side." "N-nothing I'm fine. Also, I can already see that. Listen kid I don't need your help or advise I can take care of myself. Go be your sisters slave or something." "Listen here you. My sister now runs this place. She is the rebellion leader and we will have an army. That government will pay and she is what can guarantee that. So don't be talking to me like that." Suddenly, Toron and Forest hear a commotion. Curious, toron goes over to a group surrounding the invaders. "What is the meaning of this? Who are you and why are you here. This is not a place you should be."

Matthew couldn't help but let out a deep sigh of relieve, seeing as the two of them had finally found each other. He could finally let his whole body relax. But their work wasn't over yet. He had to get himself together. Hearing Kytha's orders he stood tall and nodded, walking through the door after her. They had to take care of those poor creatures. And once again, the locks there required a watch. Some cages housed some highly intelligent or at least capable animals that could open or even break regular locks. And even though they were calling them cages, they were actually cases, the doors and walls not made of metal bars but of Plexiglas with breathing holes. Matthew looked around and didn't know where to start. They were quite many. First things first, Kytha's dog. But what about the other after that? They didn't know how long they had before the watches were deactivated. And what would happen if they freed all of them. They would fight and possibly kill each other. They were animals after all - sick, starving animals. They had to find a way to contain them. Maybe if they were to open the locks and then secure them in a way... They also had to make the hard decisions of which they should set free and which they would just have to put out of their misery for there were quite a few of those cases as well. "Kytha. Where's your dog?" he asked as they had gone through the door. "We'll get it first."

Piper was surprised when the girl that had been unconscious moments ago had suddenly wandered off just like that. Blinking at this, Piper soon had a nurse at her side, who furrowed her brows at Piper and said, "Miss, you need to rest. You're not at full strength yet." Frowning at this, Piper immediately protested, as she said, "I'm fine, honestly." Shaking her head at Piper, the nurse then stubbornly said, "I can't let you leave, come on." Wanting to protest still, Piper tried to pull away from the nurse, but she suddenly felt a wave of dizziness rush over her and she stumbled sideways before the nurse and a nearby doctor grabbed Piper and held her up. Leading Piper back to her bed and then laying her in it, the nurse then began looking her over to ensure that none of her injuries were too irritated from everything. Luckily, her eye had healed so it was mostly good to go minus getting tired quickly and resulting in her eye getting red sometimes. Unluckily, her eye was permanently blind. As for her wing, the stitches had gotten a tad messed up in the excitement of that scene with Vulcan, Carter, and Forest. Thus, the nurse tutted to herself and at Piper before she had to move to Piper's side and begin working on the stitches in fixing them up. Piper hissed when she felt some stinging pain from the stitching work, but found herself more irritated with how useless she felt right now. She was one of the most powerful Gifteds out there and she was stuck in an infirmary for a deep and long gash in her wing and her eye, which was now blind.

Tucker was relieved when Kytha was able to calm down her dragon, as he didn't want to have to deal with it any longer. He really didn't like that dragon. The moment Matthew and Kytha moved onto the other room with all of the dogs and various animals caged up, Tucker was sprinting up and down the hallway to see all of the different animals. Tucker even saw a lizard hybrid, which was kind of like a dragon, but Tucker could see that it was having a hard time breathing. That poor creature needed to be put down before it slowly suffocated on its own. It clearly wasn't getting enough oxygen for itself. Sighing, Tucker zoomed back to Kytha's side and then asked her, "Which dog is yours?" Tucker definitely wanted to free all of the animals that were capable of living, but he knew that they were all desperate as well and probably didn't trust any humans. They'd need to think this through and keep the animals safe while securing them into different cages that wouldn't require watches to unlock them. Still, there were a few apes that wouldn't be able to stay in simple cages. Perhaps they could get padlocked cages for them. But where would extra cages be?

Xander exited his room, leaving Vulcan alone. When the door quietly shut behind him, Xander then let out a sigh and shoved his hands into his pockets before walking slowly down the hallway. What was he supposed to do now?

(I guess Brandon is going to be the leader of the part then.)

When one of the people spoke up with a threatening voice, Brandon put his hands up to show he means no harm. 'We mean no harm. We are looking for someone. She was last known to be heading here with some man. She never checked in and we haven't been able to get in contact with her." Brandon slowly put his hands back to his side cautiously looking at all the people. Only those who had guns were the ones that worried him. "My team and I were sent to retrieve her. If she is not here, we will be on our way." He was hoping to stay here for the night but if Rosalyn wasn't here he wasn't taking a chance. Even if most of these people were once prisoners he didn't trust them. One of his team members looked at him with a tired look. They needed to rest for they had been traveling for a while but if Brandon said it they would leave.

Suddenly, a noise reached Vulcan's ears. He had ignored some chatting and the usual sounds around the area but this was different. He looked towards the window, placed the computer to the side and stood up, walking over to it to look out into the plaza. Many of the light that illuminated the inside of the dome were long since damaged and it was almost as dark outside as if there was no lighting at all. However, that didn't bother Vulcan's eyesight one bit. His pupils wide, almost completely covering the golden iris of his eyes, he could see everything as if in bright sunlight. Seeing the group of people being surrounded by the rebels, he focused on them and of course didn't recognize them but by their accents they were obviously foreigners. He furrowed his brows at their words, then turned around and headed for the door, strapping the assault rifle over his back on the way there just in case he would need it. He rushed out into the hallway only to see Xander's back. "Xander! We have trouble in the plaza. Let's go!" he almost yelled at him as he was walking towards him and the escalator.

Kytha looked through the little cages one by one following the dogs powerful bark. Kytha instantly grinned when she saw him and ran to his cage. "He's right here!" She called over her shoulder. Cody had stopped barking and was pawing at the glass now trying to get to Kytha. "Hey Cody, we'll get you out. Don't worry."

Toron stared at the man. "What group are you with? The government? Another organization against gifteds? That could decide what happens here." His voice calm but confident as he looked the man in the eye. "And what man. We need to know his name."

Forest was now standing beside toron staring the group down. "Tell me when you want someone restrained." She whispered softly to Toron, still eying them warily

Matthew had been distracted when Kytha called him over. He had been looking at the different animals with sadness and even some anger at the monstrosities that did all this to these beautiful creatures. He ran over to Kytha and leaned down the unlock the cage this German shepherd was in. He definitely looked much more sweet than that lizard hanging out on her shoulder, definitely more friendly too. Once that was done and the door was opened, he stood up. "Now let's get the rest out." he said and began unlocking the cage that was just above Kytha's dog's. It was another rather big dog that already got the idea that they were getting out, seeing as his roommate was being released. He had a bandage over one of his hind legs but it looked like it could stand on it. A few more cages followed with big and small dogs. However, some they had to pass by. A brown female with her three almost newborn puppies were laying together in the corner of their cell, their mother clearly dead, her wide open eyes staring at the wall of the cell. He puppies were trying to find warmth in her cold body but they would soon follow her fate. They couldn't save them even if they wanted or tried to. They still took only milk after all. Matthew's eyes filled with tears but he pushed himself forward to save those they could.

Cody sprang out past both humans and went to the puppies cage across from him. He whined and barked. He wouldn't let the little one die. Kytha walked up to Cody and put a hand on his back and leaned down. "Cody... She won't survive. C'mon." But Cody had other ideas as Kytha tried to pull him away. She was still stronger than him and he had to bite at her to get her to release. "Cody! Bad dog!" She scolded but Cody simple sat in front of the cage and let out a bark. Kytha called to Matthew "hey can you let this one out? Cody won't leave without her." Then she saw the puppies. "Why are we leaving them here? There's probably milk in the cafeteria. Or a female has some. Like a wolf therian. Even I could probably feed them." Then a small black pup jumped over to Kytha and licked her hand. Kytha pet the newborn and smiled.

( :o there should be a cheetah for tucker lololololol)

Hearing Kytha call out to him, Matthew unlocked the cage he was at the moment, then walked over to her and looked at the puppies inside. After a quick look he stood up again. "They don't look too well, Kytha. We can't save them all. We are low on supplies anyways. Who knows how much food there is in the storage too? We must think of the men and women first, animals later. I'm sorry. I can unlock that cage but your dog will have to get disappointed." he explained and leaned over to unlock the door and open it.

"Ya you're right. It's just hard to let these little ones die. They barely got into the world. And humans hand forced them to leave it." She walked back over to Cody. "I think it was this one he wants opened. This pup may be weak but it looks weaned it'll survive. Me and a hunting party will go out tonight. We'll get more food."

"Alright. I'll continue on with the other cages then." he said and rushed over to the next locked cells, it the end however, only unlocking about half of them. It was horrible and possibly cruel but they couldn't waste any more supplies, neither food, nor medicaments. Once he was done with the dogs he continued on with the cats, which often were in even worse conditions, then to some rodents like mice, hamsters, rats and rabbits. Those creatures would soon become either food for the cats and dogs, even lizards, some may escape and possibly feed on their food. Matthew unlocked the door but kept them closed. However, one creature caught his attention. It was a young looking female fancy rat with brown and black spots over it's white coat. It was pressing its almost human-like paws on the glass case and looking straight at him with his small black eyes. "Oh, alright." he gave in and opened the door once again, the rat immediately climbing up his arm and staying on his shoulder, looking him in the eyes. Such clever creatures those were. Too often was their intelligence underestimated. Then they continued on, although there weren't as many cages left anymore. After a couple more minutes he yelled out. "I'm done."

Brandon rolled his eyes at Toron. "If we were against gifted I would be attacking you right now." Honestly, he knew there might have been suspicious about them but what government employee gives up right away? "And it's a HER." Brandon had to pause to think for a moment. 'She could be using her alias. That woman never trusts anyone.' "The woman's name is Liana. Blonde hair, blue eyes, always looks like she's angry?"

Toron chuckled. "I meant the man she was with. I know of one man who came her and told the "warden" to take down the barrier. After we took over, the man was killed by one of our therians, and the girl, I presume was taken by the agents. We don't know where they are at the moment, but perhaps we can help you. Our leader has a few things she'd want to see that blasted woman for. Why don't you stay the night and we can pack you up with some food, water, and supplies? You'd also be able to talk with my sister. Want me to go find her?" Toron was completely calm as the words came from his mouth. Kytha should've been back by now. Something was holding her up.

Ky watched the Cody when the little pups cage was opened. He rushed to soothe the pup. She was simply laying pathetically in the middle of the cage. Cody licked the little pup and wrapped around her to warm her up. Sighing, Kytha pulled out the pup and found a spare blanket, wrapping her in it. She looked back down at Cody. "I'm sure toron will be happy to take care of her." Stopping and turning to the guys, she sighed. "Now what?"

The rest of his men visably relaxed a little when the boys mentioned them being able to stay and rest. Brandon put a small smile on his face. "It's been a long day. We were given one word on who was with her, Hayden." Brandon didn't know if the name meant something to them. When he had asked for more info Avi just said that that was all they needed to know. Hearing that Rosalyn might have been captured by agents a frown formed on his lips. Rosalyn could handle her self in most situations but not if it came to someone who had a better control of their minds than she did, she was out of luck. Brandon knew how that girl worked inside and out and if she couldn't use her mind games on you she was done for if her opponent was gifted.

Brandon glanced back at one of the other members in his group. "Do a check in. Don't want him worrying about us right now." The prime minister was already really busy and Brandon didn't want to add them nit checking it to make it worse. The man nodded and pulled out his phone to check in. Brandon looked back at Toron. "If we can, we would like to wait till morning to speak to your leader. You can tell her that we are here but at the moment we have had a very long and stressful trip. Avoiding the government isn't exactly easy when traveling through countries." As much as Brandon wanted to just leave and continue to search for Rosalyn, he knew he couldnt. His men were visably tired and he had to admit he was a little himself.

...Stalker stood outside of the Prime Ministers palace posted as a sentry. He scanned the line of the horizon through his visor. The visor zoomed in until he could almost make out the grains in the sand as he turned his head slowly he was seeing nothing but the occasional scorpion or snake. The binoculars zoomed out and he was staring down the steps of the palace. They were made of sand stone weathered by occassional rainfall and extreme heat. The architecture was cracked and sun bleached. He turned off the binoculars staring off across the sand. He began wondering why he was there in the first place he couldn't recall the last time he'd been able to talk to the prime minister. understandably. The minister is busy. A small slit opened near his mouth and he pulled out a cigarette and slid it through the slot before lighting it. The nicotine buzz was the only thing he could do anymore to not be bored. He let out a long sigh before sitting down on the steps...

What exactly are we guarding from...

The Prime Minister sat in his office shuffling through paper work. He wanted to get work done but all he could think about was Rosalyn and if she was ok. Avi never wanted to send her out in the field for she was the only daughter he had left, but she refused to let him say no, for she wanted to rescue her youngest sibling as much as he did. Avi leaned back in his chair and sighed. Out of the corner of his eye, there was a glint. He turned to look at the pendant that once belonged to Rosalyn. It was brought back to him by the man called Stalker. He originally gave Rosalyn that pendant when she was young. When he was first told about that person having this pendant he didn't know what to think. Avi wasn't able to get in touch with her at the time when Stalker first came to them but Avi knew Rosalyn would only give that pendant to someone she trusted so it forced him to do the same. It was a good thing too, Stalker has been a huge asset. With him being his body guard Avi always felt as ease but it was time to send him out onto the field. Stalker had to have known Rosalyn at some point so maybe he was the best for the job. Brandon may care a lot for his daughter but because of that his feeling could get in the way and cause him to make mistakes. The others in the group would just follow his lead. I guess that settles it then. "Lauryn!" A woman with glasses opened the door. "Yes Mr. Prime Minister?" "Please bring Stalker in her. I need to talk to him." The woman nodded and closed the giant door behind her.

It took Lauryn a few minutes to reach the outside of the palace and locate Stalker. "Sir, the Prime Minster has requested your presence."
