Futuristic Those That are Hunted

As good as the sun felt on her skin she felt a little naked with out her coat on. Amelie took one last look at the meadow before following Vulcan. Amelie wasn't particularly excited about walking through the woods again. She was grateful that he held the branches aside for her. As they got closer to the roads the woods started thinning out and it got easier to walk through. She stopped and pulled on his shirt. "Hey Vulcan, before we get back to the real world I just want to say...thank you. I haven't been out like that in a while. My last mission was in Germany. I was there for a few months and it wasn't in the best of areas. It didn't have anything like this. Nor this warm....any way I just want to say thank you." She lowered her eyes and shifted her eight around. She wasn't used to having human companions. All her other partners tended to ask to be reassigned instead of working with her.

Castiel glanced up to see a man heading towards him. "Better not be any trouble." He muttered before returning his attention to the ground. "Might as well meet the guy." He said as he stood up and walked to the man. "Who are you and give me a reason to not kill you." He said.

Xander raised an eyebrow at the instant hostility and held his palm out before casually lighting a flame that levitated over his palm. "Funny, I was just about to say the same thing," he paused and then realized this would come out as hostile in return so he quickly added, "Are you gifted as well?"

Castiel opened his hand, creating and exact copy of the flame that this other man held. "Indeed." He nodded before dispelling the flame and extending his hand. "Name's Castiel." He tried a smile.

Xander smirked at Castiel's half-attempted smile and then said, "Xander," all the while ignoring Castiel's extended hand. He then realized that he should probably clarify if Castiel was friend or foe before anything were to happen. Getting ready in case Castiel wasn't an agent and tried to make a run for it, Xander asked him, "Are you an agent...or no?"

Cas nodded. "Yes. I am." He slowly dropped his arm and stood there awkwardly. He shrugged and walked back to the tree, reclaiming his original position against the trunk.

Almost at the end of their trek Amelie pulled on his shirt and he startled for a moment, then turned around to face her. "You're welcome. If you managed to remember the way you can come here whenever you wish to... Germany, huh? Sprichst du Deutsch? (Do you speak German?) Yeah, I heard it's cold over there, but I guess that wasn't what bothered you. Ever been to Bulgaria?" He smiled kindly but seeing her lower her head in a distressed manner he carefully lifted her chin up with his forefinger. "Don't hide that beautiful face of yours."

"Ich spreche Deutsch9(I do speak German)...but not a lot. I learned enough to get around. And no I never been." His hand lifted her chin up. "Don't hide that beautiful face of yours." At that Amelie's face turned red and she felt her heart pounding in her chest. Her eyes couldn't keep contact with his. "Sie machen mich nervös. (you make me nervous)."

(Hayden still no care what happen! xD Lol Vulcan is really in love with Amelie isn't he? Well, sooner or later, Hayden will be planning to interrogate Amelie since she was probably the one who made the call on Hayden's execution.)

Hayden bit a small piece of the deer and tasted it with its tongue as he ate it. He was never fond nor interested with survival food, but his father had taught him to survive in a place like this. The puzzle pieces still remain in Hayden's head, trying to complete the result of the puzzle, the answer to everything. He still was so confused, he loved and honor his father and his father's fathers. He was so ashamed of himself for leaving the agency. Every time he thinks of it, his mind just keeps twisting.

He stopped eating when he heard loud shouting, it seemed to be Kytha. "She's in trouble. If she dies now, I won't get my information." Hayden said. He rushed down the hill and saw what seemed to be a stranger, and the kid Toron trying to protect her. Hayden didn't want any trouble, especially now that he's trying to keep off any casualties to be reported to the gov, which means no killing for Hayden for the mean time. "I am truly sorry for whatever this misunderstanding is, my son here, Toron has been a really problematic kid, and my wife here is just truly concerned, and so am I." He said as he smiled. It was already too awkward for Hayden, to have Kytha as a wife who was barely even capable of holding a child. He hoped for no trouble at all, but if the stranger ever tries anything, Hayden would not hesitate to snap her neck.

Kytha eyes immediately widen when he says wife. She looks at him and his phoney smile...'oh god...' She thinks knowing she has to play along. "Yes. That's right. Toron lets go home I made dinner." She says staring hard at him.

Toron looks blankly at the two, a twisted look on his face, more like a WTF face. "Kyt- mom no please can we talk this out?" He says nervously. 'Didnt she say she wanted people for the rebellion?' He silently thinks. If he recruits her now they will have to pretend to be a family for forever... The mere thought if that makes him facepalm. He turn to the women. "These are my... Parents." He says with a shiver.

"Let's move on, then." Hayden said as he smiles at the stranger and stretches out his hand to gently push his 'family' toward their house. He was first to enter the house, pushing aside the plate with deer on the table. Then placed a small square chip that revealed nothing but a hologramic blue screen. Hayden hovered his hand over the blue screen as it began to scan his hand, then opened a set of tabs filled with names, maps, and information of the sorts. It was his personal tracking device. "Kytha, I'll have to search for Vulcan and Amelie and get myself some answers. We're a team now, Kytha, so please, if you have something about where they might be, I'd be glad to know." Hayden was a pretty good liar, he himself knew there was never a team, he was simply using Kytha.

A satellite image zoomed in on a park, it was scanning the possible targets, Amelie and Vulcan. Even if the system already knew their location, it would still take time for it to find them, especially in a park with lots of people and blind spots, like bushes and trees covering their visual. Hayden took this time to talk to Kytha. "The tracking is gonna be a bit long. How'd you get to know Vulcan anyway?" he said as he shifted his way to a nearby couch and looked at Kytha.

"I assure you, sir, everything is alright." Confusion rose in Allia's mind and she glared at the man calling himself Toron's father. Something felt quite off about him - energy levels unstable despite the friendly smile. And the so called mother appeared way too young to have a child this age, even though Allia had no room to speak about youthful appearance. The boy hadn't seemed to have lied earlier either but maybe they had... family troubles?

She watched them retreat to their home, deciding to follow a minute after, worried about Toron's safety. Maybe analyzing them would have been a good idea but it seemed a tad risky should they turn up to be working for the government.

"Excuse me," Allia knocked on the door, politely waiting outside. "Is the shop here yours? I was hoping to buy some provisions." A quick check wouldn't take much time and her conversation with the younger wasn't finished.

"I'm sorry." Vulcan turned around and continued walking in silence. They finally got on the street and hailed the first taxi that was in their way. "Take us to Lucky Inn." "Certainly" This driver was luckily not of the kind that liked to talk nonsense. He just did what he was told and drove off. Vulcan rolled down the window and put his arm out. He hated cars, that's why he owned a motorcycle after all. He missed his old ride and was already anticipating the new one.

Hayden heard the knock, then all of the sudden everything came in his mind. What was I doing? Why did I just leave the girl there? If she's working for the government, she might be pulling a gun on my face by the second I open that door. I can't let that happen... Hayden had now way of taking a peek at the girl outside, "Come in, please..."

Allia carefully turned the doorknob with one hand, the other descreatly at her side with oustreatched fingers, palm facing outwards at anyone or anything sent flying her way the moment she went inside. It would take only a fraction of a secound to send a sound wave to paralize a person or simply block an attack though she highly hoped it would not be necessary.

"Forgive me for taking your time." She slowly moved inside, doing her best to appear unthreatening.

Hayden gripped his left hand in his back trying to gather as much reserved essence he has left. If the girl tries anything, he'll be ready for it. "No, it's okay..." he smiled at the girl. I'll kill you at the second you do anything I don't like. "What's up?" He asked.

Allia let a small smile lift the corners of her mouth out of courticy, old habbits were hard to get rid of especially when they were taught as manners.

"I'm a traveller, sir, and there haven't been any inns or stores on my path for some time now. I was hoping to restock my provision from yours if it working." She scanned the male from head to toe, hostility coming off in powerfull vibes.

Hayden couldn't handle more of it. It was time to find out if the lady was an agent, or not. "No more games, girl..." he said calmly as he released his grip and aimed at the lady. His palm was now surrounded with scarlet flowing shards waiting to strike. "I'm going straight, if you're an agent, I'll kill you quickly."

"I'm not with the government." Allia asnwered sharply, her expression morphing into a frown at the spikes pointed her way. Death was something she would rather avoid and a fight breaking out would proove dificult with the three on one situation. "Lower your hand, I am no threat to you nor your companions." Her violet eyes never left the man's hand, his ability, whatever it was, intrigued her. "Your gift - I've never come across anything like it."

"If you did come across my gift, you wouldn't be alive to tell it..." Hayden ordered the swarm of shards to stand by and levitate near him. "Now, what do you want?"

"Arrogance has nothing to do with greatness." Allia cut him off, snapping her fingers and sending the shards flying across the room and away from her. Slight vibrations leaving her whole body in warning, silently hinting that if another attack was fired she would answer with just as much force. "Are you keeping that boy hostage?" She tilted her head in Toron's direction.

Getting back in the car Amelie leaned her head up against the window. She wasn't physically tired but psychologically she was. It didn't take them very long before they got back to the inn. Amelie didn't realize it but apparently she had slept for those few minutes. Wiping her face she saw her watch blinking. ~so much for a whole day off.~ Getting out she walked into their room. All the hair was gone. "Go shower. I'm going to read this message and see what they want."
