Futuristic Those That are Hunted

(Haha, well, I hate the cold, as does Xander, so riding an ice wolf would never appeal to either of us. xD )

Alpha became super excited when Vulcan mentioned riding a wolf. When Xander offered his wolf she moved behind Amelie. "I don't think riding a fire wolf appeals to her." She twisted to the side so she could ruffle Alpha's hair. "Would you like to go on a ride with Vulcan?" Alpha's eyes widened and she nodded. "You guys have to make it quick. I think we are leaving soon." Alpha removed herself from behind Amelie and went up to Vulcan, ruffling his hair like Amelie did to her. Looking up she could see Toron and instantly felt bad that she was playing around with agents while he was trapped in there. Whatever it is they deserved it. Alpha put a smile back on her face. "Well I don't want to waste anytime!" She took his hand and started pulling to get him up. Amelie watched her hesitation and started to worry if it really was ok to let her tag along. Not like the girl's healing ability was defensive enough she was worried about the emotional state.

Xander hid his disappointment as he shrugged Alpha's decision off and said, "Your loss." Settling to watch the following events unfold in amusement, Xander found a crate and sat on it before summoning his miniature phoenix for a change. The bird chirped at him and Xander let it rub its head against his fingers and palm while he watched it's fiery plume dancing slightly. Grinning, Xander glanced up to watch Vulcan's interaction with Alpha. He had no idea the tough guy had such a soft spot for kids. You learn something new everyday.

As Vulcan got his hair ruffled and was pulled by the young 10-year old, he grinned at Xander on the way out with a mocking expression saying "I won" written all over his face. Once they were outside he shifted and lay flat on the ground, waiting for the girl to get on. She looked so tiny in comparison to him, so fragile and light as a feather. Once she was comfortable he slowly stood up, like horses would, and began walking around, waiting for her to get used to the shakiness before transitioning into a playful run all around the airplane, then chasing a large bird flock that was hanging out on one of the grass areas on the side of the runway. Birds were always such a nuisance around airplanes and one could hardly ever get rid of them completely. But he wasn't thinking about that now. He was having fun. After a few more minutes of running and fooling around he returned to the airplane and laying on the ground and letting Alpha climb back down, then stood up and after giving her a small lick on the hand, shifted. "Time to go, princess. We have a long flight ahead of us. Oh, and before I forget, remember to brush the fur off of your clothes."

(I think you mixed up clothes and fur in that last statement of yours)

Alpha was in awe when Vulcan shifted. ~He so fluffy looking.~ When he laid down for her she got on and smiled even wider. It took her a while to catch her balance but she figured it out. The whole time while he was running, Alpha couldn't stop giggling. This was the most fun she has had in a while. When he started to slow down she pouted not wanting to stop but it seemed like people where getting back on to leave. After she got off and before he shifted back she gave him a big hug. Her tiny arms barely went around his neck. When he called her princess her face turned bright red. She quickly wiped the fur off and ran to Amelie.

As Amelie watched them she had a soft smile on her lips. Looking around she noticed the older agent were watching them with a smile as well. It's uncommon to see gifted children be so carefree. The younger agents that where her age just looked plain annoyed. When Alpha came running up to her she decided she would protect her at all costs. "You ready to go?" Alpha nodded and Amelie took her hand. "Sorry Vulcan. Looks like she's going to take the seat next to me." Alpha dragged Amelie to Vulcan and took his hand as well. "We will sit together." Amelie gave Xander an apologetic look before she was dragged off again onto the plane.

Xander shrugged apathetically about being not being included in the dragging by Alpha to the plane. Standing up from his seating on the crate, Xander began following after the trio, his little phoenix flying around him and chirping occasionally when it saw something of interest. Climbing the stairs into the plane, Xander whistled at his phoenix so it'd land on his shoulder just before he entered the plane again. Looking down the isle, Xander quickly spotted the trio getting situated and joined them before quickly stealing the window seat before Vulcan could choose a seat. Grinning at Vulcan, Xander said, "Sorry, my companions tend to enjoy the window seat and I'm not about to spend the whole time reaching over you." It definitely had nothing to do with the fact that Xander also loved to watch the lift-off and looking at the clouds while they flew.

"That's fine with me and Vulcan doesn't really like the window seat." Amelie took a seat next to Xander and Alpha next to her. One the plane finished filling up and the doors closed the speakers turned on again. "Welcome back everyone. Like I said before it'll be a nine and a half hour flight till we land in Dachau, Germany. We might experience a little turbulence. Enjoy the flight." When the plane started movie Alpha leaned over Amelie to look out the window. Once in the air Alpha leaned back into her seat. After a few hours Amelie could tell Alpha was getting bored. "Want to see something?" Alpha looked up at her. Amelie raised her hand over the little girl's lap and a ice shot out starting to form something. After a minute a there a small fox in her lap. The legs were a little disproportionate but that's because it was her first time making such a small creature. Amelie made it so the ice was thin and wasn't as cold as her wolf so it didn't leave ice where it stepped. The fox rubbed it's head up against Alpha's chest. She started petting it . Before long Amelie past out and eventually Alpha and the fox did too.

*Time Skip*

When Amelie woke up again the lights in the plane were dimmed and it was dark outside. God I can't wait to get into a bed. Despite how much she slept seeing the darkness outside made her tired. It was too dark outside to see exactly where they were and. The facility was lit up with lights from the guard towers and on the side of the buildings. It was two stories high after that she couldn't really tell. During the decent Amelie gripped on the armrests. She felt a little queasy. Landing was always the worst part for her. Once they landed she gently shook Alpha up. The fox yawned when it felt movement. The plane landed just outside camp. The lights inside turned on and people started to wake up and those that where already up started to get off. "Lucky for us we weren't assigned to bring any of the prisoners in." As they where exiting the plane Alpha held the fox in her arms. There were a few office workers that had met them out on the landing strip. She followed them as they lead those who weren't involved in transporting the prisoners to the housing. Those of lower rank had to share rooms with twin sized beds. The higher ranked ones got a room to themselves with a full sized bed. "Sorry guys. Looks like this is where we leave you." Since Alpha was healer she also got better housing but was most likely going to stay with Amelie.

In the cargo areas the GA's who where assigned prisoners where getting everyone out. A women opened Toron's cage first. She was one of the older agents. "Come on little one. Your cell will be a lot more comfortable than this. Another woman, younger, opened up Kytha's cage. You will get shoes once you are in your cell. " She said. The man assigned to Seth was quite confused at why the whole cell was covered in ice as well as the cuff. He took caution when opening the cage. "No funny business. Lets go."

(Ok so basically the living quarters for the prisoners is two floors and set up kind of how a prison is. Each cell(room) has two twin sized beds, a toilet and a sink. Half of the top floor is blocked off for those in solitary confinement. There are three detached buildings. One is the offices.science lab which is where the entrance to the camp is. The second is the mess hall and the third is indoor activities. Shifters get a device put on them so they cant shift into creature bigger/smaller than a certain size. Because of this the camp is basically a caged dome. with guard towers at certain points. The living quarters for the workers are right next to the camp. Hope this helps)

(Will respond sometime tomorrow, but am going to be crazy busy tomorrow and Saturday. I can't guarantee a lot of responses until Saturday night and on from there)

Vulcan nodded as he heard that they would be separated in different rooms, somewhat sad and disappointed. He was hoping to spend some… personal time with Amelie without all the rush from last time but thinking about it, it was better that way. He and Xander followed the man assigned to give out the rooms and entered their room, looking around for a bit. "I'm takin' the lower bed." Vulcan said quickly before Xander could make his decision. It was darker with the lights off and looked more comfortable – like a small cave for a big wolf. "I'm gonna explore around a bit. We've been sitting in one place for more than nine hours." he said and left the room and the living quarters. It was night but everything was lit well. The climate here was much different than in America. It was cold and wet and Vulcan felt better that way. His fur would soon grow longer and thicker, suitable for this environment. He glanced at the huge dome that was right next to the living area - in a good position. If anything was going to happen the agents would be nearby to help out. He then walked to the office and science lab buildings. He looked at the watch around his wrist. In America it was probably still day. He hadn't heard anything from Ivan in a while and he missed the old man. He was sure he was doing just fine on his trip around the USA but he wanted to hear him nevertheless. He supposed that in the office building there would be some computers for him to use so he entered the building and of course after some identity checks found his place behind one of the computers. There was an eye scanning device right next to the keyboard in order to access the machine. Vulcan quickly let it do what it was supposed to do and a message appeared on the screen, stating that it was free for him to use. His file popped up with his personal information. Vulcan knew what he had written in it and was about to close it when the family tab caught his eye. Ivan Gamolov (father), Monika Gamolova (mother) "What the..." He impatiently clicked on one of the results and Ivan's file shows up. The information was quite limited because of his criminal connections, nothing Vulcan didn't already know. Then he clicked on the second result, the file of Monika - his apparent mother. There was even less information about her.

Name: Monika Gamolova

Alliance: Gifted, Wolf-Therian

Age: 56

Status: Alive

Current Location: Solidgate Asylum

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_03/Monika.jpg.jpg.a8a25dffa71fbf2ebec95b1ff91321be.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="46727" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_03/Monika.jpg.jpg.a8a25dffa71fbf2ebec95b1ff91321be.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Vulcan simply stared at the photo - a black haired woman, warm skin tone, full lips, her yellow eyes filled with hate and sorrow. She was a literal copy of himself. Solidgate Asylum... That's back in the USA. "Damn it!" he growled quietly and leaned back in his seat, blinking at the screen with complete incomprehension. His mind was about to explode from all this new information. He quickly opened a new window, put the headphones on and dialed in Ivan’s phone number. The light of the camera above the screen flashed to signify it was on. A few seconds later Ivan picked up his phone, turning on the camera as well, speaking through the microphone attached to the handsfree cable of the headphones.

"Vulcan! Haven't heard of you in a while, boy! How's it been? Heard you have a new job..." the old man spoke gaily, smiling brightly, but Vulcan interrupted him.

"Dad?" A pause followed. "Were you ever gonna tell me?"

"So it's true. Look, boy, I didn't know either. We didn't have those high-tech machines the government has access to."

"You are no gifted! How am I one?" another pause "Why did you leave me?!" he was slightly stuttering with anger and excitement.

"Your mother was a wolf. Her name was Monika. We met the most unusual way possible. She was caught in a bear trap... and she was the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. Only later did I find out she was human. We immediately fell in love. I started my own business as a car mechanic and she helped me with it to the best of her abilities. You were born soon after. At first we were terrified to see that you had inherited her gift but you were so beautiful - a little human most of the time and occasionally a black wolf puppy. And you grew so fast. At the age of four you looked like a boy of six. And about that time your mother was shot down by the government, protecting you." his voice stayed calm, as usual.

"How do you know that's what happened? Killing is never the first option." If his father thought she was dead but instead she was caged in, then he shouldn't know about it. There was nothing he could do for her. His connections were limited and he wasn't the rich man he once was when he was still the leader of that gang.

"Because I was with her. And I saw it. We managed to escape in the crowd. Soon I started drinking, abused you. One day I just packed my things and left. Left to join The Pack - that darn gang, left you outside the shop. I can't believe what I did back then... I will never forgive myself. She loved you so much, she died for you, and you two were so much alike.", now his voice was filled with sadness and regret. "When I saw you that day I immediately recognized her in you. You had her same features, her same golden eyes, but... broken, emotionless... You didn't remember a thing of your past. I took you in, to repair you, hoping that through you I will resurrect her."

How didn't he remember those things? He wasn't that young as to not remember a thing... Death. Right. Once the deal was made he became his puppet, forgetting about his past was probably among the things he didn't know about when he had made it.

"What was my name?"

"Sava."

"I won't change it. This name holds no meaning to me." he said after a pause. Then another followed.

"So you are an agent now?"

"Yes. Perhaps I dishonor her memory by joining but..."

Ivan interrupted him "Your mother would be proud and so am I. There's no place for your kind in this world. You would be always on the run. The agency will keep you safe. That's what she would want."

Vulcan smiled in response, glad that at least his father approved to it.

"I met someone. A girl."

"It's not like the last one, is it?"

"IVAN!" he almost yelled into the microphone.

"Just sayin'. How do you feel about her?"

"I feel like I could spend the rest of my days with her."

"No one's stopping you. You have my blessing. But only if you are sure she feels the same way as you do."

Vulcan chuckled at that. "I am. I heard you finally started traveling."

Ivan smiled and nodded in approval, turning his phone's camera around for Vulcan to see all that was surrounding him - the magnificent Grand Canyon. Ivan was, of course, traveling with a tourist group, standing a few meters away from where he was talking so they wouldn't hear their conversation, taking photos, looking around. The sun was low and it simply looked amazing.

"Wow! That looks... uhhm... I have no words to describe it really."

"Yeah, it's quite breathtaking."

"I'm glad you are having fun, dad."

"Oh, I'll have to get used to you calling me that... son." they laughed.

"I have to go now."

"Alright. Me too. Goodbye, son. Stay safe."

"I'll try. Goodbye, dad."

They both hung up simultaneously, both smiling happily. It was such a relieve for both of them to finally know, after so many years of wondering and doubt. They were close before they knew and now even more. Vulcan sighed and closed whatever was still open on the computer, shutting it down, then rose from his seat and walked out, smiling from ear to ear.

Next he was thinking of visiting the science lab. It was such a nuisance to shift every time he had to speak and he was wondering if they didn't have a device that would enable him this. When he entered and spoke to the woman at the reception he was led into the lab, where a friendly scientist greeted him and led him to his personal lab. "Yes, we have this problem with all Therians but we're working on a prototype that works even if the person shifts. It is attached to the suit and recognizes words from simple growls, translating them in your personal voice, not some mechanical like the last ones. Here, let us try it out." he attached a small device to the neck area of his suit and moved aside, giving Vulcan enough space to shift. He turned and made a whining and growling sound with no change, then he turned to the scientist and tried talking. "Can you underst..." realizing it was working, he interrupted himself "Oh wow, it works." He was amazed. Before this device every time he was trying to talk only different types of growls came out but now he was actually able to talk. "Great, thank you, doctor." he said and shifted again. "It's a pleasure. Thank you for helping us develop it. It can be taken off, is waterproof and is nearly indestructible, just like your watch." Vulcan thanked again and left the labs. This was probably the most productive day in his life.

Once back outside he glanced at the mess hall. It was rather big, large enough for all the personnel, gifted and so on to fit, probably with a huge kitchen as well. Vulcan was somewhat hungry but decided to wait till morning to eat. The last building was for indoor activities. Vulcan has had enough for this night but tomorrow he would probably come here to train a bit. He was feeling slightly out of shape, not fat yet since Therians couldn't really get fat but simply out of shape. He walked back to the living quarters and sniffed around, trying to find the room Amelie and Alpha were in. From all that sleeping in the plane he assumed this wouldn't be the first thing that would come into their minds. Perhaps they were exploring around as well. As he caught Amelie's specific scent of winter morning in the mountains he knocked on the door. Vulcan really wanted and needed to share those things with her. He couldn't sleep properly on the plane and wouldn't be able to sleep in his bed either if he was thinking about it all the time.

(Sorry for the long post, guys. I just wanted this to happen some day and it kinda makes sense.)

(Mikasa <3 :3 )

Hearing a knock on the door Amelie groaned and sat up. Looking to her side, Alpha was curled up into a ball sound asleep. She cautiously got out of bed as to not wake the little girl. When she opened the door she wasn't expecting Vulcan to be there but she was happy that he was here. Something was off about him though. "Is something wrong?" She whispered.

(oh crap. Whoops. Should I change it? I don't really watch anime and picked the first thing that popped out in Google. That's what she looks like but since you wanted anime photos...)

When Amelie opened the door Vulcan was still smiling, probably looking like a fool. His head was simply too full of confused thoughts for him to order properly and take control. He looked behind her shoulder to see little Alpha asleep. "Why don't you come to our room? I need to talk to someone." he whispered back.

"Sure. Of course just let me grab the key." She closed the door and came back out a moment later. Locking the door she followed Vulcan to his room. She walked close to him, their arms occasionally brushing against each other. Amelie missed being close to him. "What about Xander? Is he asleep?" She assumed Xander was the other person rooming with him.

As much as Vulcan wanted to hold her hand he didn't dare do it. Of course, they were in a different country and it wasn't like anyone was following them or snooping, or that was what he assumed, but he tried ignoring it nevertheless - making sure. "I dunno what he's doing. Maybe he went out exploring around as well." he said and opened the door to their room, letting her in first then closing it behind his back like Xander had showed him that one time then took a seat on the lower bed. "I don't know how to say this. I really don't know where to begin."

Amelie took a seat next to Vulcan being in their room she reached for his hand. She loved seeing a smile on his face. ~He looks so handsom.~ "Well you seem pretty happy so it must be good news. You can start from the beginning."

Vulcan took her hand willingly and held it tight. "Uhhm, I wanted to look around all the camp and facilities and I really missed Ivan, I wanted to hear him again, see how he's doing. Someone must have somewhat changed my personal information. I'm not quite sure how they found out and why I wasn't informed. DNA-check maybe?... Well, he's my father, Ams." he looked up at her and met her deep icy blue eyes. "My mother is supposedly in Solidgate Asylum. Do you know where this is... and how I can get there?"

Amelie was so happy for him. To find out that the man he has worked with and considered family for years actually was must have felt amazing. "The government will do that. And if they have your family in their system it just helps them....it helps them keep you in check." Amelie's grip on his hand tightened when he mentioned the Asylum. She didn't know much about it but she has heard of it. She broke eyes contact and looked down at the ground. "I'm sorry Vulcan, but I would leave it alone."
