Futuristic Those That are Hunted

Amelie's face remained stoic when he glared at her but on the inside she felt a ping of guilt. But it went away as fast as it came. She was starting to hate these feelings. Caring for someone who's 'sister' she wouldn't mind killing was hard. Her job has kept her safe from the fate Kytha and her friends might face. Hearing the engine to the bike turn on she walked over to Vulcan. "Of course I'm riding with you." She felt kind of hurt that he would think otherwise. The wolf whimpered at Amelie's side. "It would be great if we could get a fourth person. Means we each can take one person on.Makes things easier." Amelie still realized she had some of her armour on. The cracks that were on there started to spread till the ice started to crumble off her body. ~Not a good idea to be riding around like that.~

Xander eyed Amelie's breaking ice armor and put a friendly suggestion out there, "You know, if you're injured then riding in a taxi would be much more comfortable for you. No sense in riding a bike and making yourself worse when you have the option of taking a taxi." He raised an eyebrow at Amelie's whimpering ice wolf and wondered what was bothering it. He'd never really implemented emotions into his creations before so he wasn't sure how or why the ice wolf seemed to be bothered by something.

"And I'm glad you do. I asked if by chance you were not feeling well." Vulcan smiled at her, leaned down and petted the ice wolf on the head and behind the ears. The creature fascinated him and although he himself was a wolf he liked cuddling with it. "Never understood how you work... Alright, hop on. Xander, tell the driver to take you to Lucky Inn and just ask about us at the reception." He mounted the bike, put on his helmet and revved the engine.

(1 second difference in posting speed, lol)

(Haha, yeah, we posted almost at the exact same time. xD )

"I understand that it probably would but I rather stay with my partner." She hopped on the bike after Vulcan and put her helmet on. She snapped her figures and the wolf shattered. Amelie wrapped her arms around Vulcan's waist. "You know how my emotions can make my power get out of control sometimes? The wolf kind of helps with that. It's an extension of my self in a way. The emtions it feels match the ones thay I currently have." She spoke this only to Vulcan. "It's the best way to describe it. Other than that I really don't know." Amelie shrugged her shoulders. "And what happened about going out?" She pouted.

Vulcan put one hand on hers as she embraced his waist. "I knew there was something of you in it. I like it... just as I like you. And if you feel alright we can still go out. I'm hungry.", he spoke in the microphone of the helmet. Then his hand slides back to the handlebars and they slowly take off. There was no need to rush. "Any preferences?" He asked as they drove into town and had to stop at a traffic light, waiting for the pedestrians to cross the road. Vulcan impatiently taps on the clutch lever and the throttle, waiting for the disoriented souls to go out of his way, even though the light was green for him. If he was alone he would probably use a combination of the loud roar of the engine and the horn to mention the people to beat it but now that he had such a pretty lady behind his back he didn't dare do any of that.

Just then the taxi drove up to the curb and Xander walked forward, sighing as he didn't want to be in any vehicles, but he clearly had no choice in the matter currently. He didn't exactly know where Lucky Inn was anyway. Getting into the backseat, Xander closed the door behind him and buckled up before saying, "I'd like to go to Luck Inn, sir." The driver nodded and shifted into drive as he pulled out onto the road and they began to make their way to Lucky Inn. Xander stared out of the window as they went along and he sighed as he wondered when he'd finally get to fight another person that was different like him. He always loved a good fight, but he didn't seem to get to enjoy many of those nowadays.

Amelie rolled her eyes at his impatience. ~Men.~ "Something we can take back. Don't want to leave Xander there for too long. Plus I don't know what we left out in the room. I do like my privacy." She watched the pedestrians take there sweet time crossing the road. "Come on. Can they move any slower? Our light is green. Hurry up alreayd!" She yelled out the last part.

"I know just the place. You'll love it." He says and tells the installed GPS in his helmet the address. After quite a few turns they finally arrive at a restaurant, a large wooden sign above the entrance written in Cyrillic - "Borimechkata", meaning Bear-Fighter - a literary hero known for his enormous strength, jocular character, and great appetite. Vulcan parks the motorcycle and leans the covered rifle on the side. No one in his right mind would touch it. They enter and are greeted by a very cozy ethno atmosphere - everything inside was made out of carved wood, massive tables with knitted tablecloths and benches with cushions, lots of traditional decoration on the walls and nice quiet folklore music playing in the background. A friendly waitress leads them to a table for two and brings them menus but Vulcan refuses "No need for that. I'll be ordering. We'll take a tray of banitsa, a tray of musaka and a large portion of roast for takeout. Put them in some compact box if you can. Two glasses of your best Merlot for now. That will be all." The waitress repeats the order and after Vulcans confirmation leaves them be. About a minute later she returns with the glasses of red wine and the bill. "Your order will be ready in about half an hour." "Thank you." Vulcan pays, leaving the girl a big tip, and raises his glass to Amelie "Cheers!"

Hayden smirked at Toron's question, "What if the agents are here?" Toron asked. "That would be much more better, Toron..." he replied as he watched the wolves trying to break Hayden's forcefield. It wouldn't be a fair fight if I kill them right now where they can't attack, now would it?

He stepped outside of his shield just as a large black wolf tried to jump over him swiftly. His left hand that was holding the reversed-gripped knife quickly stabbed the wolf to the ground. Now another wolf charged towards him, it's jaws open wide ready to crush Hayden's skull. It was his advantage, the wide opening of the jaw gave way to Hayden's arrow bolt entering the wolf's mouth and through it's esophagus, then down to striking the heart. Unfortunately, Hayden was bitten at his bicep because of the process. In a moment, his right arm was already immobilized as a result of half his arm was literally inside the wolf's body. The wolf was dead of course, yet he could use the wolf as a shield.

This time, only 4 wolves and the alpha were still standing. Two of the wolves assaulted him from both front and back, the front wolf jumped at him first, he allowed the dead wolf sticking to his right arm to shield himself from the wolf's bite, sending the wolf away while he accidentally bit the dead one with him - Hayden's arm was free. Yet it wasn't done, the wolf from his rear had almost bit him. Nonetheless, Hayden twisted his body and pulled himself down to a crouching position, dodging the wolf's attack. The wolf's belly was completely above him, since the wolf jumped too high. He thrust the wolf with his knife and arrow bolt, only realizing that the arrow was already completely broken and useless. However, the wolf still went down, bleeding badly. The other wolf that attacked him earlier had recovered from his counter block, and unlike the other wolves, the wolf didn't try to open his jaws, it seemed to know what was going to happen. Still, it was just another advantage. As the wolf charged, Hayden held it's snout and gripped it so tight it had almost crushed the wolf's bones. The wolf went whimpering and couldn't do anything, Hayden used his arrow bolt to strike under the wolf's throat and up and through the wolf's brain - dead. 2 wolves left, then the alpha. The next wolf stormed at Hayden, it's slower movement gave the chance for Hayden to throw his knife at the wolf's head - dead. The wolf guarding the alpha finally joined the bloodbath, and promptly grabbed and pulled down by Hayden, placing his palm above the wolf, then drained it's whole essence - dead. Finally, Hayden had enough essence to use against the alpha.

The alpha rushed towards him, blindly towards his death. But Hayden obeyed Kytha's command, not to kill the alpha. He provided his blood essence to dwell within the alpha, instantly locking and gripping every limb from inside the alpha. Not more than a second, the alpha dropped. He was paralyzed. "Say what you have to say, Kytha. I can only hold him like this for a few minutes."

(wooo!!! my computer is fixed)

When they arrived, Amelie took off her helmet to get a better look at the entrance. "Looks interesting." She got off the bike and followed Vulcan into the restaurant. When doing so Amelie had to stop her mouth from dropping. It looked amazing inside. Her eyes wondered taking in all the decorations and the way the tables were made. If they were ever back in this city again she would love to sit and eat here. Hearing Vulcan order, she just stared at him. She had no idea what any of that was. Next thing she knew there was a glass of wine in her hand. "Vulcan, do you even know how old I am? I technically can't drink." Not that Amelie should really care, agents did whatever they want. The government wouldn't stop them when it came to something as trivial as drinking. Amelie just wasn't much of a drinker. "And also what did you order? I didn't understand any of the names."

"I see you are a grown woman, that can make her own decisions, which makes you no longer a child. Besides, from where I come from even children are given strongly diluted wine. It's said that if the kid knows the taste of alcohol it won't be drawn to it at an older age." He takes a sip from his drink "The first that I ordered is called banitsa. It's a pastry pie, filled with white cheese. The second one is called musaka. It's got potatoes, eggs and minced meat. My old man used to joke that one could not marry a woman who is unable to cook the perfect musaka." Vulcan smiled at the thought of Ivan, playing around with the glass. They had so many memories together - good and bad.

(And since I cannot describe all of it I'm just posting a picture of the place.)

"Well welcome to America. Where at age 18 you can hold a gun and fight for your country but can't drink. Thats not including the gifted. We have a whole different set of rules." Amelie raised her glass to him before taking a sip. She had to force her self to swallow it. Definitely not a wine person. When he started explaining what the food was Amelie's stomach growled. Can't wait to eat. "Sounds delicious." She smiled at him. "But you're out of luck with me. Can't cook a lot. Only what I need to live off of."

(It looks cool. Don't have many ethnic stuff here until you go farther south.)

Vulcan noticed that Amelie wasn't too pleased with the taste of her beverage. "Don't drink it if you don't want to." He liked stronger drinks as well, but his head was still kinda hurting from last night. "Yeah. Haven't eaten anything cooked in a while apart from that Chinese. Didn't end so well, now did it?" He laughed as he remembered the scene that the two made. He wondered why the manager hadn't thrown them out already. Ah, money was a powerful tool.

"I wont." When a waitress came around again she asked for a glass of water instead. "Let's not talk about it, unless you want me to have thought about killing you." The waitress came back with a glass of water for her and taking the wine glass. Amelie looked at her watch. She really didn't want to keep Xander waiting long. Wouldn't be a good host if they did.

Vulcan gulped nervously "You would have killed me?..." At that moment he sees the waitress carrying a box with the ordered food, standing up to take it from her hands. "Come on. I'm starving and our new friend has probably already got there long before us." Vulcan goes outside to see that nothing was missing - neither the rifle, nor the bike itself. He put the box on the gas tank and strapped the case across his shoulder, then mounted the motorcycle and turned the ignition on.

Amelie chuckled. "I was certainly thinking about it but I don't think I would have gone through with it. Anger is a hard emotion to control. Just don't get on my bad side and we will be fine." When the food got here she stood up along with Vulcan. Walking outside Amelie was a little surprised that the gun wasn't stolen. She put her helmet on and got on the bike behind Vulcan. "Yeah I don't want to keep him waiting."

"Noted." They drove off. The bike was overloaded and Vulcan had to do lots of multitasking - looking on the road, making sure the sling doesn't slide or the box doesn't fall from underneath his elbows. Minutes later they finally arrived at the inn but the struggle was not quite over yet. He ejected the keys from the ignition, adjusted the rifle and took the box in his hands, pushing the door open with his shoulder and walking to the reception. "Did someone ask for us? A guy - long hair, black rucksack?"

The receptionist nodded and then pointed over to one of the walls in the lobby where Xander had nodded off, leaning against a wall with one of his feet propped against it. His original plan had been to wait in the lobby for the two agents since he felt intrusive heading to their room without them being there. Plus, it was highly likely that the room would be locked anyhow. He'd nodded off within five minutes of leaning against the wall though, as he hadn't gotten proper sleep in a few days.

Amelie kept a constant watch on the box. She felt kind of bad that she didn't ask if she should hold something. When they got to the inn she got off and followed in after Vulcan. She was about to ask if he needed help carrying something when the receptionist pointed at Xander. Amelie carefully walked over to him as to not startled the agent. "Xander wake up. I'm sorry it took us so long. We ended up getting food."

Xander's eyes shot open and he was instantly awake, but not in a frightened manner. He was still calm and collected as he looked up at Amelie and then stood up from leaning on the wall. He smiled in a kind manner as he said, "Not a problem. I was needing some rest as it was. So, where to now, I'd presume one of you all's room?"

Amelie was slightly startled when his eyes shot open. "Well we share a room. So eventually we will need to get you one unless you want to sleep in a pull out. But we an head up there and plan for tomorrow." Amelie took the card key out. "We are on the second floor. Follow me." She started to head up the stairs that were next to the reception desk. Once they reached the room she slid the card in to unlock the door and held it open for both of them. "Excuse the mess, we keep getting stuff sent to us and haven't had the time to clean up the boxes."

Xander raised an eyebrow at this and the sight of the boxes scattered around the room. He then made his way around the boxes and to the table in the room, sitting down at one of the chairs. He propped his head against his hand as he rested his elbow on the table. He looked at Amelie and then said, "You know, having my own room would be nice considering I've been living outside for the past few days...or weeks." He then held out his free hand as he summoned a mini phoenix that cawed and then flew to his shoulder.

(Sorry for my inactivity. My roommates laptop is in repair and has to use mine.)

Vulcan followed them silently. He set the box on the table in front of Xander and left the case leaning on the wall. "Nice pet. Just don't set anything on fire, will you? We've done enough damage already. After we are done eating I'll talk to the guy downstairs if there's a free room available." He walked back to them and started unpacking the food. "Just tell me now if any of you wants some of that roast because if not it will be gone... fast."

"I think that's when we would get kicked out." And Amelie didn't want to have to go through this whole process again with a new place. She walked over to the table where Vulcan was unpacking the food. "I'll take some." She took a seat next to Xander. "But i am definitely taking some of that, I think you called it banitsa?" The pastry food sounded good. She grabbed a plate and put some of the met and pastry on it. Despite how hungry she was she took her time eating it. No need to eat like a beast if I don't have to.
