Futuristic Those That are Hunted

Amelie hung on to Vulcan as he picked her up and carried her. Every few steps she could feel a a pin in her chest but she ignored it. She took Vulcan's advice and covered her wound with ice. It wasn't long till they where out side. Vulcan set her down against a tree trunk and she sighed in relief. While Vulcan called in the rescue team Amelie 's thoughts went back to what happened and all her brain could process was that security was crap at that hospital. Usually If there were higher ranked gifted or personnel there, there would be a ward or something up. She watched him transform and come up to her. When he laid down she put a hand on his back and stroked his soft coat. She flinched a little when he started licking her wrist. Wasn't expecting that. When he was done he took the hand in his mouth. That either. "What are we going to do now Vulcan? I can't tell if Hayden is after us or everyone else. I understand the higher ups, but the grunts are different." She gripped his fur. "They can't protect themselves as well as we can. And those higher up tend to have gifted guards." Amelie sighed. She kind of felt responsible for the lives lost today.

Vulcan was annoyed every time he realized he couldn't talk in his wolf form. It was only possible with other shapeshifters. One of the greatest creations of the future would be a translating collar. He let go of her hand and turned, his head still on her lap. "Oh, sorry about that." He rose and leaned on the tree. "I don't know what he wants. Scare us off? If that creature wanted to kill us we wouldn't be having this conversation... You have to recover first, that's for sure. And the infantry is freakin' useless. Either they are not trained well or they are simply stupid as dirt. You can't just charge in like a complete fool without thinking it over first. They are supposed to be skilled, not act like a bunch of street thugs." Vulcan made a pause realizing he was becoming enraged. "I really don't know anything anymore. This facility will be out of use for quite some time. Perhaps we should return to the inn? If nothing else there are no cameras installed there."

Amelie lifted her hand when Vulcan changed. "It's fine." Her hand went back on her lap. "Scare us off?" Amelie chuckled at that. "Yeah right. The only reason I would be scared is because since I can't move I can't fight." That wasn't entirely true but she definitely felt weaker if she couldn't move her body the way she wanted to. "Going back to the inn would be a good idea." Looking down she was still in a hospital gown. "...I would like to change. Preferably now. Also you do know I won't be able to go anywhere far for able couple days right? Unless.." She pictured making a can of ice. ~no that would be stupid I could buy a normal one.~

"We need to let things cool off a bit anyways." He made a pause, looking towards the dead abondoned building. He could swear that if there were no drainages, blood would be flowing all over the place, through the doors and the windows! "I've never been in a hospital before. What a first impression it left me with..." Suddenly he could hear sirens in the distance - the rescue team. Vulcan stood up from the ground and waved at the armored vans. Less than a minute later they had parked in front of them and the hospital, some soldiers and doctors coming from the inside of the vehicles. A very familiar medico approached them while the others ran towards the building.

"I hoped I wouldn't see you two so soon. How are you?"

"I'm fine. Agent Glass here probably needs just rest... We're the only survivors, I think."

"Oh" The man looked shocked. "We've never had such a disaster before. This was our largest health facility. You can be transferred to another hospital in town..."

"We were hoping we could return to the hotel we were staying at."

"This could work too."

"We require clothes. Is it possible that..."

"Yes, of course. There are one size fits all clothes in the van over there." (because I don't know why. why not?)

"Thank you doctor. I still have the medicaments you prescribed me so we'll both be taking them."

"Do that. Now, if you'll excuse me. I'm probably needed if there happens to be someone still alive inside."

I doubt it.

The doctor left and Vulcan turned back to Amelie.

"Let me help you get to the van.", he took her arm and put it around his neck, pulling her carefully to her feat, walking towards the vehicle, opening the back and helping her inside. "I'll leave you dress up. Meanwhile I'll talk to the driver if he can take us to the inn."

He walked to the front of the car, rapping on the window for the man inside to lower it. "Can you take us to Lucky Inn?"

"I suppose I could. There will probably be more vehicles on the way anyways."

"Awesome. Thanks, bud."

Allia was beginning to overthink her decision to join the little team against the government. It wasn't due to fear, rather due to the fact everyone was doing whatever they wanted. At least Kytha had shared their next move with her while Hayden took off somewhere, the other girl disappearing soon after, a flap of wings ringing off the cave walls as she took flight. Shifters always felt strange on an energy level, a little disturbing even despite their half animal nature. The elders in her clan called them old spirits who have found peace but some shamans thought of them more as wistful spirits stuck between two life cycles.

Shaking her head Allia dismissed those thoughts, there were things too complicated and unneeded for people to understand. She sat down next to Toron on the edge of the blanket and crossed her legs in a lotus position. Her hands moved to rest on the top of each knee, eyes closing as she prepared to meditate.

"You can calm down, we're safe for now." The boy's worry felt like the pained scream of a dying animal to the blond woman, almost causing her to cuddle Toron like a mother would. "Sit up and breathe, are you feeling alright?"

Ky sighed. "Why?" She said moving closer a little. "Please Hayden... Just leave them alone for a little bit? They are both injured and if the other people in the gov find out they will hunt you with everything they've got. Listen, I hae a plan to get one of us in there but someone needs to be badly injured. Either toro or allia... Me and you are both targets right now so we can't risk it. All we need to figure out is how to get someone injured.. Any ideas?" She says and looking up at the stars. So many thoughts were racing through her head. She then turns wolf. 'What I there is a pack that will fight with us?' She thinks and howls. "Are there any packs near by? Please howl back I am looking for an ally." Her howl so calm and helpful. She hears a howl back saying "we are the valley pack. We would like to accept your offer please bring yourself and if you have one your pack and we shall talk." She sighs and howls again. "As long as you are ok with allying with a group of gifted. I am the only shifter and there are 3 others with me." It takes a few minutes before she gets response. "Yes it's fine. What for though?" Short and sweet... "It's for a rebellion against the goverment whom hunts us." They tell her to meet them in the valley at moon high and she turns back human and looks at Hayden. "We are meeting a pack of wolves at moon high to form an alliance. They will help us attack the gov. Come on let's go tell the others." She says and waits for him to stand.

Toron hears alias voice and turns to her. He hugs her. "Oh thank god. I thought I got captured... What happened where are we? Oh and I feel fine." He says and realizes he's hugging her, he quickly lets go and looks around. "Where's Kytha and Hayden?" He asks and panic start risin in his chest.

Amelie thanked Vulcan when he helped her to the vehicle. She closed the door till there was a small crack so people couldn't look in. She untied the gown and let it drop before searching picking out an outfit. All there was were grey shirts and pants, both stretched to fit who wore it. Amelie had to admit, they felt pretty nice. It would also keep her bandages in place for now. Opening the door again and carefully got. She searched for Vulcan when she found him he place a hand on his arm. "How are we getting back?"

Allia's eyes opened slowly, warm violets focusing on the small boy. Had she had a child when becoming of age it would brobably be around Toron's age if not older. Thus her affection for the young gifted grew every time she set eyes on him.

"You almost were captured so I advise not trying to get inside their group again." Allia threw an arm over Toron's shoulder, ruffling the brown locks as she embraced him back. "A small fight broke out and Kytha got herself injured but she will live. She's even out on partoll and Hayden... went for a walk." Hopefully not attacking anyone, the thought crossed her mind but she kept silent, now content that the Toron was safe and well. "Can you tell me anything about this Vulcan and the other agent? All I know is the man's a shifter." It was time she got more information and it seemed only Toron would talk to her honestly.

"Oh, Amelie. You shouldn't be walking around so much. Get back in the van. The driver said he could take us to the inn. Come on." Vulcan helped her back inside. He felt a little like a father training a puppy to stay near the den. Not that he had any experience doing that. He got into the back after her and took a seat on a crate, knocking on the wall facing the driver mentioning that he could go. Meanwhile he looked around to pick himself some slothes as well. Wasn't too much of a choise - mouse gray track suits, underwear - like prisoner clothes. "Well, this has to do the job for the time being. I'll dress up when we get there. I need a bath first."

About half an hour later the van parked in front of Lucky Inn and the two got out. Vulcan went to the drivers cab and tapped on the window.

"Thanks. I owe you a drink."

"Just doing my job."

Then he went back to Amelie and took her in his arms again, along with the bag of clothes, hanging around his wrist. He desided that climbing the stairs would be too much for her. Besides, he liked holding her really. As they went to the front desk, the receptionist was staring at them like a damn fifth grader at a test, his mouth slightly open, but before the guy could say anything Vulcan interrupted him with a simple but sufficient "Don't even thing about it. Room 211." The employee turned around to look for the keys that were hanging on the wall behind him and after finding the requested item tried handing them to Vulcan. "I don't have a third arm as far as I know." The guy grumbled and led them to their room, leaving the keys on the lock on the inside of the door. Vulcan carefully put Amelie down on the bed and went into the shower to wash all the dirt and even blood mainly from his legs and dress up. Looking in the mirror he almost didn't recognize himself. He appeared so old and broken. His stubble was making him look even more like a junkie, that couldn't buy himself a razor, but still had enough money to buy himself weed. The hospital gown gave him the finishing madman appearance. Well, that explains the look on that guy's face...

Toron looks at her as she spesks allthewhile thinking, 'Shes so formal!' Once she ruffles his hair he begins flattening it. 'Not cool...' He thinks. It may have been playful but he still barely knows her.

When she asks him about the agents he feels a little confused but says all he can. "All I know is their names are Vulcan and Amelie and that he shifts to a wolf snd she uses ice power..."

( Hey I'm truly sorry if I might be inactive for a few days from now, we have exams and I really need to top this :)

Hayden chuckled, "So, I guess I'll be the little red riding hood, or... the grandma... your choice." He said. After everything Kytha had planned and promised to the little rebellion and for Hayden only, he truthfully did not care. It was until now, now... that he felt something he's never felt before. The way Kytha displays her affection to Hayden, while he never reacts to it. The one and only reason he has is, he keeps denying that love has conquered him. He couldn't bare to see Kytha being so reckless, he didn't want her to die, and Hayden's not going to let her.

His father never gave any idea of love being a weakness, because his wife is the reason why his dad had always protected and trained Hayden to become strong and independent. It was Hayden's own thought, he has seen too much agents whom he has worked with before in the field, break and die because of love. Romeo and Juliet both died because of love, thinking of it as a great power to uphold. But no, love was not a power that you control, love itself controls you, and it can do pretty bad things. Love was not a weakness... it was a great and powerful enemy in which you cannot defeat, the only possible process is to escape and avoid it. Hayden shirked, No... I can't let this happen to me...

Every single time he thinks of it, he thinks of Kytha. There was no other way for Kytha to live but for Hayden to show his feelings for her, too. For minutes, he stayed silent... not giving off a single word. Yet he battled against himself inside him, trying to create chaos between Hayden and Hayden. To love, to leave, to lie... what was it?

As if Hayden lost control of himself, his hand came swiftly over Kytha's hand. He held hers tightly while he felt her soft skin, combined with the quiet and faint sounds around them with the dark yet private atmosphere. "Don't leave... please... just... don't..." He finally said it, and he couldn't take it back.

Allia finally cracked a smile as Toron tried to fix the unruly brown strands of his hair. "We're moving again soon so better get some rest... or we could have a little competition if you're up for it." Back home competitions were a favoured event. Each and every pupil took part, wanting to show off their newly acquired techneques, wanting to surpass those of their level and proove their strength to the clan. No blood was shed but egos rose to the skies, boosting confidence. Trainees would be faced with obstacles such as climbing huge trees to retreeve items while fighting off their peers on the way. They would have to dive in deep ponds and perform underwater exercises to show breathing skills. New games were added every season to motivate contestants and enthrall the audience.

"We won't be attracting unneeded attention so why not show off your gift?" Allia stood up, looking over the cave carefully, spotting an abandoned nest in the far high corner. "See that? Can you bring it here then put it back in place?" Starting simple, she wondered how much control Toron actually had over his ability.

Riding in the back of a van wasn't exactly fun. Amelie had to hold her self in place so she wouldn't move around. When van stopped Amelie sighed in relief. Finally. She let Vulcan pick her up and she laid her head on her shoulder. Under different circumstances Amelie would have fought him off and attempt to walk on her own just to not appear weak, but there was no way she was walking up those stairs. Seeing the expression on the employees face made Amelie want to laugh but her face remained stoic. As they walked up the stairs Amelie took the chance to look up at Vulcan. She mainly paid attention to the tattoo and scars that peeked out from underneath his shirt. I wonder how he got the scars. When they got to the room Vulcan set her down gently. "Thank you." She said and watched him walk away before laying back on the bed and waiting for him to get in the shower.

After a few minutes Vulcan got out of the shower, looking at Amelie and pulling on the grey skin tight shirt "I feel strange in these. Do I look okay to you?" They were tight on her and even tighter on him and he didn't like it. "One size fits all. Yeah, right." Still, he didn't want to fill the room with fur again, especially with Amelie still in bandages. These clothes had to suffice for the time being. He lay down next to her, putting one arm across his eyes. He just wanted to sleep, let his body recover from the blood loss that was still messing with his head. Tomorrow was another day.

(Aww ok... I think I might take a day off too tomorrow schools finally biting my butt...)

Ky grabs his back. A sudden feeling overtaking her body. 'What is this?' She asked not wanting to admit it was love. "C'mon Hayden... We have to meet them... We need some allies. Please?" She asks him, a hopeful look on her face. She asks trying to pull him back to the others. "I want you to be there with me.. Either I go alone or with you. We will tell the others when we get back if we got then as allies. If we didnt we won't say a word. I just need to grab my bow. I will say were going hunting. Please?" She begs.

Toron looks at her. "I'm always up for a challenge. So you want me to climb up there?" He asks looking from her to the tree and back. He stand up getting ready to go once she tells him to. "Tell me when." He says assuming a runners ready position.

(Ok guys I'm gonna be inactive for a day so this is my last post for a little. Bye! ^_^ )

(I only have two classes tomorrow and no work. College life)

Amelie turned her head to face him and smiles. "You look fine." He layer down next to her in the bed . She waited a moment before hesitantly putting her head on his chest and curling up next to him. "Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day." She closed her eyes and went to sleep.

When Amelie put her head on his chest he inhaled sharply with surprise. He didn't dare move until he was sure she was asleep. Only then did he put one arm across her shoulders and fell asleep as well.

***

Vulcan woke up earlier than Amelie. He noticed Amelie had moved away from him so he turned to the side facing her and watched her slumber for a few minutes, watching her chest rise and fall. It was so quiet that he could hear her breathе. He then got off the bed as silently as possible and looked through the persiennes. It was early in the morning, the sun was shining gently, but it was still foggy outside. He felt like going out. There wasn't anything better to do anyway. He left the room and went by the front desk. The receptionist however called him over. "Sir. A package for you arrived about an hour ago." "Thank you. I'll take it upstairs." The guy led him to the back and showed him the parcel. It was a larger box than the last one they had received a few days ago. Vulcan bent to pick it up and was at first surprised by its weight - almost 15 kilograms. He adjusted it in his arms, thanked the man and walked back upstairs to leave it in the room. He dropped it off in one of the corners so no one would stumble over it. Vulcan was about to leave again when curiosity hit him. Curiosity killed the cat they said. He crouched next to the carton box, ripped the sellotape off and opened the flaps. On the very top there was a card holder and keys - most likely for the motorcycle. In the card holder he found an ID for him, a driving licence, which he had never had before, and a credit card. These were obviously for him so he put them on the edge of the bed. Underneath were two Kevlar suits, identical to the ones they had worn on their last mission. He took both of them out and put them next to the documents on the bed. Below, there was a rucksack used for carrying ammo and a plastic suitcase - just like the ones weapons were supposed to be carried in. Of course. How could I have forgotten. Vulcan carefully took them both out, set the case on the floor and opened it using the finger recognition on the lock. Inside were his two 10mm handguns, the combat knife and his old sniper rifle - taken apart, all of them cleaned and shining. Vulcan took out one of the guns and the knife and put them on the table, closing the suitcase and getting up from the floor. He then undressed until he was standing there only in his underwear, then put one of the agent's suit on, strapping the weapons on their intended places, pocketing the documents and keys. Then, at last, it was time to go for a walk.

When he got in the open the sun was already shining brightly and the fog was gone. The weather was just lovely. The bike was parked as before right on the front. Don't really feel like riding today. First stop - barber. Vulcan took a random direction and soon got to a hairdresser's, entering the shop and getting the weird looks from the stylists, as expected.

"Just fix me up."

"Sure... Take a seat." A woman showed him to a chair and started preparing for operation dehairing. After almost an hour of work on his face and hair she finally said "Well, look at that. There was a pretty face underneath after all."

"Nice. Thanks for that. You just saved my date." His hair was cut shorter and well-groomed, still naturally messy but that's just how it was. Most importantly - no sign of the damn beard. He paid with his newly acquired credit card, and even got a present - a razor...

After this pleasant adventure Vulcan decided to continue his walk, a small smile on his face. He wasn't headed anywhere particular, just enjoying the sun, daydreaming. suddenly he thought about Kytha, but mostly about that other boy. What was his name again? Toron. When Kytha had howled her voice sounded clear and healthy, but still, she had almost died to save that kid, while Vulcan on the other side was about to deliver him to the government. He needed to apologize. But how? He remembered that the signal of the tracking device installed in the watch failed once he shifted, so this could work just fine. He changed direction, turning wolf and headed for the outskirts of town, leading into the forest. He suspected that Kytha would never return to the gas station now that this hideout had been compromised. Perhaps the cave? He had remembered the way quite well and would just have to follow his nose. On the way there he could think about his apology. His wolfy trot soon got him to the woods without arousing any suspicion or being seen. There were always those little hidden streets in which you could disappear in an instant if ever needed or find anything and anyone really, so why not a wolf the size of a small horse.

Once he got to the forest he lowered his nose to the ground, sniffing around. Kytha may have sounded healthy, but she wasn't. In this condition she would not be able to hunt on her own. Perhaps the apology could be some food - quite more practical than just words. There was bound to be elk here, even moose, but he decided not to try his luck and hunt one. Not only were these animals dangerous with their large sharp antlers, but also, if that was supposed to be the present, how would he drag it all the way to the cave. He had to look for something smaller but still enough to feed the whole group of them. Not a rabbit, not a pheasant. Perhaps a deer?

Suddenly his nose caught the smell of turkey. Perfect. He followed it until he saw a clearing - a pasture in the middle of the forest, where a rafter of the large birds was leisurely walking around, pecking at the ground or just sitting in the dust. A huge gobbler caught his eye, majestically walking around and showing off his colorful throat and tail fathers to the females. But Vulcan couldn't just charge in. They were too far from the trees in which he was hiding and despite their weight, those animals could take off in an instant and were agile fliers. The predator lay flat to the ground, melting into the shadows and tried imitating the yelps and whines that his prey produced. If was funny to listen to but it was enough to draw the attention of a small group of walking meat, that large male Vulcan was after among them. The birds slowly stepped towards the edge of the forest but stopped just a few meters away from Vulcan. Still, that was more than enough. Vulcan jumped from his cover, the birds panicked and ran in all directions. The male however was too disoriented and too heavy to fly off as fast as the smaller females and after just a few quick jumps the predator was at his prey, its long neck between his jaws, shaking it viciously to break it instead of biting into the flesh. Finally the present stopped moving - dead, and Vulcan turned around, going back into the thicket, again following his nose. First he got to the gravy road they had come through with his first motorcycle and were chased by Amelie. What an irony. Back then they were enemies, now there were... partners? Friends? Lovers? Vulcan decided not to think about that right now and just continue following the track. It went uphill but soon he spotted a small hill - the cave. It indeed was a good hideout, because of all the plants and moss covering the opening. If he didn't know it was a cave he wouldn't have noticed it. All the area around it smelled like its new residents but there seemed to be no real sign of them. Vulcan was most worried about Hayden. This was the man they all had to watch out for. He just hoped that Kythas trust in him was not misplaced. Vulcan lowered his body to the ground, moving carefully, trying to make little to no sound at all while crawling towards the opening of the cave. About two meters away from it he set the bird on the ground and was about to leave when suddenly he heard a sound to his right - the simple but loud crispy sound of a dry branch cracking under someones weight. He had to get out of there, and fast.

(Thought about meeting with Allia, so why not this way.)

(See you there then, Vulcan ;) )

Allia shook her head at Toron's words, a bit disappointed that the boy wasn't using his head but he was still young and hadn't been taught the way she had.

"I didn't mean for you to climb. Wouldn't a forcefield sphere be easier? Practicing like this will increase your focus, patience and contol." She could teach him how to climb fast and withough breaking anything on his way down but that would take time, time they didn't have. It could also attract predatous and cause accidental injuries. No, Toron was better off staying grounded after that sleeping drug so after the small exercise she took him back into the safety of the cave to retire for the night.

***

Morning came quickly and Allia streatched out her arms over her head. The blonde hadn't dared to sleep as their other two companions hadn't been present but chose to meditate. That state allowed her to rest and at the same time stay absolutely aware of what was happening around her. Toron's uneven breathing before he fell into a deep slumber and it turned peacefull, the lone bat that had found its way into the cave and was now hanging from the ceiling, the snake that had passed by the entrance of their hideout, the familly of mice which lived in the hollow of the old tree in front.

Allia made her way outside without awakening Toron for a few fullbody streatches. Following her own words from the previous evening she moved one leg slightly backwards and sprinted towards a high tree. One sole hit the wood, sending her upwards, hands balancing her form as she quickened her pace. When she reached a strong branch she let one hand fall on it, gripping the bark, and swung her legs over the strong limb, elegantly taking a seat there. It was high enough to shield her from direct view but gave her nice vigilance.

Mere minutes later a familiar energy entered the range of her abilities and she stood back up, pressing into the wood behind her to remain hidden in the leaves. A large black wolf appeared before the cave entrance... carring a turkey? So this was the all famous Vulcan? But what need was there for the dead animal? Allia shifted one foot, causing a small an old dry piece of bark to crumble loudly under the pressure. Damn it. Kicking the tree trunk hard she sent a strong vibration all the way to the ground and right at the huge animal. Whatever his connection with Kytha was it did not concern Allia neither Toron so she could not rely on that to stay safe. She snapped her fingers, intent on not letting the agent get away, a bough splitting from the tree and flying Vulcan's way.

Vulcan had heard the snapping of wood and was about to run for it. He however did not expect a large branch to fly his way. He quickly jumped to the side, avoiding the projectile. He followed the direction from where it had come and saw a woman sitting high in the crown of a tree, about to strike again. Vulcan could easily turn and shoot her down in a matter of seconds, but that way the signal of the watch would restore. He could not let the government know about the cave as well. Vulcan growled non-aggressively, cowering, slowly backing off, his legs strenuous and ready to jump to the side of any incoming attack. He hadn't come here to cause more dispute but to apologize. Guess that didn't quite go as expected. He had to run and if he decided to flee it wouldn't be much of a problem. Wolves could run as fast as 60 km/h and he, despite his size, was no exception to the rule. But at the same time he was too curious to just leave. If nothing else, this match would provide him and Amelie with the needed information for future encounters with the lady.

The agent was behaving strangly, only growlling at Allia withough taking his human form. Unlike Kytha though he wasn't changing into other animals. Was this some kind of trap? The icewielder could be hiding somewhere around but her energy was not present. Sighing, Allia landed on the ground with a few well controlled swings, the action causing the earth beneath their feet to shake slightly.

"Why aren't you shifting?" His behaviour intrigued her and that bird he had brought... was that an offering of some sorts? "Vulcan right? I suppose you're smart since your an agent so listen well. You go near that cave and I'll send more than a branch at you." His energy wasn't threatening, maybe she had rushed to conclusions after all but one could never be too carefull when the government was involved and lives were at stake.

Allia lifted her hands in a gesture of surrender, moving closer as her violet orbs examined the wolf.

"You can't switch forms. Your partner isn't here." She snapped her fingers with a knowing smile, the air around them becoming still. "They won't be able to pinpoint your signal now so why don't you show yourself?"

Vulcan relaxed a bit when he saw that the woman was no longer threatening. This is a trap... And even knowing so he decided to shift, his gun already in his hand, aiming it at the gifted's head. "You just send one more branch at me and I'll send a bullet in your face." He looked at the hand holding the gun. The display of the watch was indeed broken. Perhaps her little trick worked, but it was also causing the hairs on his skin to stand up. Static electricity? "What the hell did you do?... In any case. Just warn me before you turn it off. I don't want my chief to find this place and believe me, neither do you." he lowered his gun to the side. "I was the reason Kytha got injured. She can't hunt, so I decided to make her a present. How's that for an explanation?"

Allia didn't know what to expect from the shifter, thouse of his kind were never easy for her to deal with and Vulcan didn't seem to be any different.

"That bullet won't reach my face so put away your useless weapon." Guns weren't really her speciality and she had no interest in the metal firepower. How fast Vulcan could shoot was a whole different story but Allia was more than sure he'd stay put. She was the only reason his watch wasn't transmitting.

"I'm just blocking the signal." She explained curtly and continued without mentioning her gift. "It will have to do. Your friend is fine, I put Shiika leaves on her wound so there won't be anything but a scar left." Allia relaxed her shoulders as the barrel of the gun wasn't aimed at her anymore.

"Your confused." She said suddenly, violet eyes flashing a brighter tone if only for a second. His energy was a mess and it wasn't only because of his ability. "And confusing... you're working for the government yet you're caring for the person who's planning a rebellion. You old souls are so indecisive..." Allia touched her forehead with a frown, it hadn't been this unplesant to be around Kytha so why was Vulcan different? Her head was beginning to hurt.

"What are going to do now? Emeksi..." She mumbled the last part, trying to shield herself from the other's energy.

(So guys I was thinking of adding some words from an obviously made up language. Shiika is a plant Allia's clan uses for healing purposes and Emeksi means wolf. They don't have a whole separate language just old songs and words the elders use.)

Vulcan had to blink and shake his head. Was she reading his mind? Mind control? "I don't like what you are doing. My mind is off limits, so cut it out, witch. I don't need a psychologist just yet." He sheathed the gun, but his fingers were rapping on the handle of the knife strapped right next to it. "Now? Now, I'm probably going to leave and we'll both forget we ever had this conversation. My fight is not with you and as long as you stay out the government's business it won't be." He made a short pause, thinking his next sentence carefully through "You look like someone one could rely on. Take care of Kytha for me, will you, and keep that guy, Hayden, away from her." His hand slides to his side and he shifts again. Perhaps the gun wouldn't be of much use, or the knife in that matter, but she wouldn't be able to shield herself from his bite. That meat is going to spoil in the heat. Don't let my work go to waste. If she could truly read his mind she would get the message. He turned around and started walking away. Been nice meeting you.

"No, not now, Kytha. It's too dangerous... I... I..." Hayden cut himself off, swiftly pulling Kytha's arm, bringing her down. He hugged her tightly, "I need you... I don't want you to die." he whispered in her ear. The moon was beginning to disappear, giving way to the sun. Hayden closed his eyes and slept deeply, not even noticing that he landed on Kytha's shoulder.

Hayden woke up and bolted upwards, now, he was sleeping on a smooth rock. It was a bright and sunny day, and he began to worry about the cave. He left the area and as he got closer and closer to their hideout, he heard growling. A wolf. He then rushed towards the entrance, quietly. He didn't bother crouching, nor did he need to. Till he saw - he grinned at he sight of him, Vulcan. He listened to everything Alliah and Vulcan had said. Until Vulcan finally left. "Oh no, you're not getting away, buddy."

He quietly free ran towards Vulcan, jumping across trees, grabbing and swinging branches. Until he was now farther from Vulcan, and had the higher ground - on top of a tree, he leaned against the bark of the tree and waited for Vulcan to pass that tree. It didn't take long, until Vulcan was directly below him. "You're already leaving without saying goodbye to Kytha? That's a shame."

Vulcan looked up to see Hayden standing just above him in the tree branches. He gave him a bored look and made a few steps to the side so he wouldn't jump on top of him. You better not start throwing branches at me as well. He murmured, then rubbed his back on one of the trees, leaving a small patch of fur stuck to the bark and howled "Goodbye, Kytha". Vulcan then yawned and ran into the bushes. He was in no mood to fight and he hasn't come here with that purpose as well. Hayden couldn't get down that fast and chase after him. This fight had to wait for another day.
