Futuristic Those That are Hunted

Larassa shook her head and then muttered under her breath, "Yeah, I am. The only solution here is to kill Hayden. Save us all the trouble." She then glared at Vulcan, still confused as to why he, of all the agents here, would turn his back on the agency and throw everything out the window to join Hayden's side. If Hayden wasn't in the picture, then maybe it wouldn't be so confusing and they could handle everything better. Even with the speedster against them. But with Hayden involved, any wrong move and people would be dying within a minute. They had to be careful. It was like they were standing in a minefield and just one wrong step would end their lives along with setting off the domino effect of getting everyone else killed here as well.

Vulcan didn't respond to that. He hated Hayden just as much as everyone here. But Kytha obviously had another opinion of him. Vulcan couldn't believe he still appealed to her but he knew no one could change the view of that stubborn girl. However, he was starting to sense some tension between Tucker and Hayden. He couldn't help but notice how well Kytha and the speedster were getting along. This could potentially lead to a fight for her hand and her love. Now that would be something - the two most powerful gifted fighting for nothing else but for a single girl. She sure knew how to pick them...

Vulcan's reaction to her sword bothered her but she didn't let it show. Amelie knew these walls wouldn't be able to hold. "I think it's funny, Hayden. You fully believe we are the bad guys yet you are the one who is killing everyone in his way. You have killed hundred yet when we captured you, we didn't kill you, we didn't torture you. We put you in a place where you weren't able to hurt anyone. I honestly do not see how we are the evil ones in this situation." Amelie understood that what she did to Vulcan was wrong. Torture was only used on those who knew information, or did something that threatened the safety of others. They only killed if nessisary, and killing Hayden is something nessisary.

Amelie motioned for one of the soldiers to come to her side and she whispered into his ear. "I want you to start clearing out the area. I only want those who are willing to fight to. She knew it was going to come down to a fight and wanted as little casualties as possible. The man ran back to his spot and started talking to the soldiers. Some backed away slowly and left and other stayed. They continued to talk and some stayed left but some stayed. Most that stayed we GA'S thst understood how dangerous Hayden was.

Vulcan heard what she whispered to that agent. Why did she want to continue this fight? This was hopeless. The government could send out a whole army of thousands of soldiers and they still wouldn't stand a chance. "We don't need to fight, Amelie. All of these lives can be spared if you would only listen to us." he said in a more calm voice, almost pleading her to stand down. "Or maybe it isn't you who we should be talking to." he said quietly and raised his head, looking over the remaining agents, as well as those that were leaving - some afraid of the mass death that would follow, others simply refusing to fight. He took a deep breath to gather his thoughts. His heart was racing. "Is this what you all want? Serve the government and be sacrificed without a second thought from your leaders like some small, meaningless pawns? How many of you have been taken from your homes, taken from your loved ones, brainwashed and made into puppets on strings following commands out of fear, because you are forced to? What gives them the right to take our rights from us? Aren't we human? Don't we inhabit this same small planet, breath the same air, cherish our children's future? And aren't we all mortals? And yet, gifted have been abused, kidnapped, experimented on! Any kind of resistance or accusation is met with serious and brutal terror! When does this stop? When will you stand up and fight? For your rights, for your lives, for your and the future of your children! Let the government tremble at our revolution! The gifted have nothing to lose but their chains! But they have a world to win! So unite! Fight with us!" he roared into the crowd with all the breath he had in his lungs so that they would all hear. He just let it all out. All that was in his head, bothering him for years, pushing on his heart with a sharp dagger. Amelie wanted a reason why he left her to fight for Kytha. This was it. And this was their chance to do it. Here, in front of these people that were the only ones that could make a difference. Not in that street with dead bodies at their feet where he left her, hoping to protect her but instead turning his back on her. Here. And in the end, power was in numbers, not in strength. Human history has proven this so many times. The French revolution, the American revolution, the Bolshevik revolution, the fall of the Berlin Wall - big sacrifices but with huge results, having an impact on the whole society. So why couldn't they?

Larassa listened to Vulcan's speech, unamused. What was he trying to gain here? Even if anyone wanted to join them, that'd mean they were also joining Hayden's side. "So, you want us to join that demon?" she gestured at Hayden "The one who has killed countless lives, innocent or not? I don't know about the rest of the agents here, but I personally will be much happier when he's dead or somehow manages to change his mind about who exactly he's killing." Taking a step towards Hayden, Larassa narrowed her eyes and then said, "Were you listening to your rebel friend's speech? Do you realize how many of these agents are truly innocent? How many lives you have taken from this world that could've done good in it? Do you know how many innocent blood has been shed today alone, thanks to you?"

Tucker uneasily shifted on his feet upon hearing Vulcan's speech. He had a point, but they were still siding with Hayden. Even Larassa had hit a strong point. Tucker wanted nothing to do with Hayden, but he refused to leave Kytha's side. Raising an eyebrow at Vulcan and then Kytha, Tucker spoke up, whispering to Kytha, "I don't particularly enjoy being on Hayden's side. Didn't you say you were going to stop him? Just...send him away or something. I'm not too keen on seeing innocent blood shed today...or yours if anything gets out of hand."

Xander groaned in his bed, growing increasingly concerned with the lack of action outside. Where was everyone? What was going on? He could dimly hear Vulcan's voice rising outside, but he hadn't the faintest idea what was being said. Was Vulcan okay? Xander itched to get up and check, but he still had some cuts on the bottom of his feet along with his palms. He could only guess it wouldn't be much longer since he could feel it all slowly healing, but it felt like hours with everything unfolding outside.

Kytha snarled. "He isn't going to kill anyone! You are still the bad people. Most of the people in these prisons haven't done anything wrong yet still have to go through hell! Their life choices are killing or prison. The reason they choose prison isn't cowardly, it uses all the honour in the world. They'd rather suffer then capture, brainwash, kill, or torture people like them. THAT is honour. Not your lame excuse for honour."

"I never said it was an honor to work for the government. We all have our reasons for doing so. Many joined to protect their loved ones, whether it be gifted or not." Amelie showed Vulcan more than anyone that that was the reason she came to the agency."Vulcan..." Her voice was filled with hurt. He did exactly what she feared he would do. He said he loved her and would do anything for her. She opened herself up to him, let herself love him and he ended up just leaving. There were no words to describe what he put her through. Amelie looked over the rest of the rebellious group. "You believe that the agency is bad, that it whole heartily hates the gifted people, yet a gifted will soon be the one running it." If Amelie made it out of this situation alive and keep the dragon, she would be promoted and she wouldn't leave for any reason with thot spot right in her reach. "and these people before you chose to stay on their own free will. They understand how dangerous this man is." She pointed at Hayden. "And don't want him roaming free." She could care less about Tucker. Yes they wanted him to work with his gift but he didn't have it in him to hurt people like Hayden does. She wouldn't let Kytha leave for her own personal reasons.

"Protect loved ones? And by whom do you think those loved ones were threatened, hmm? Oh and don't you take this the wrong way." he looked at Hayden. "I don't particularly enjoy working with him. And he really doesn't either." then he shifted his gaze to Kytha. "I'm following the idea and the ones supporting it." Then he turned his head to look back at Amelie. "And you. You'll do a splendid chief of the government. Letting others do your dirty job for you." he hissed and made a small nod towards Larassa. If the government was going to fall, which if would eventually, the leader would fall as well and he really didn't want that to be Amelie. Not that there was anything going to stop the one currently sitting on the throne from changing his decision. And would she really make a difference? The government had many allies, she would be brought down the moment they disagreed with her actions. The whole system was designed that way.

Amelie had done their dirty work for six years and it was time for her to get out of it. When vulcan came imto her life she wanted the chief's position more than anything just so she could finally have a family. It's what pushed her to make decisions she knew that he wouldn't like. ~It was all for a better future, even if it was just for us.~ When the light headedness came again it was so sudden she had to place her right hand on her head and close her eyes. "We need to finish this soon Larassa." Amelie had dealt with stress before but this reaction to it was different and very inconvient. She believed it was because Vulcan was involved with the people causing it. ~This is what I get for forming atachments to those other than Alec.~ Being the future chief, she did not want this idea shown to her underlyings. Her sword shattered and the shattered glasses started to reform into her wolf that was growling at Vulcan. The wolf didn't need her too move with it to do damage unlike the sword. Because her wolf is usually used for tracking, it was more fragile than the other things she makes but because of the situation she made it denser, harder to break.

When Vulcan saw her as if feeling nausea, he lifted up his head a bit and there was some worry in his eyes. Was she sick? Simply stressed out? It was as if she wasn't herself anymore for the past couple of days. Whatever was causing this may have been the reason she just sent Larassa after him... Has he been wrong the whole time? Or was she faking it? When her wolf formed instead of her sword, Vulcan growled at it, telling it in a wolfish way to stay back. But forming the wolf also meant that Amelie was taking a defensive position, basically summoning a personal protection dog. He made a step towards her, still keeping a distance to avoid the wolf charging at him. "What is happening to you? It's like I don't even know you anymore."

Amelie didn't respond. Her decisions the past few days, she will admit, we're rash but she wasn't going to say that out loud. As for the being lightheaded she was just stressed. ~That's the only thing I can think of that would cause it.~ If Alpha was here she would know, but the girl was safe back in the states, away from thks danger. When Vulcan growled at her wolf, hers stopped but just stayed protectively in front of her.

Vulcan sniffed at her but kept his distance. His nose could usually smell sickness, even danger. But besides the nausea and possible dizziness from the way she held herself, he couldn't really smell anything. It could be so many things - stress from getting the news of Hayden coming here, even though they had encountered him before; in addition probably the fact that she felt betrayed by him, possibly even the weather change here or even her getting her monthlies. What did Vulcan knew about women? He made a step back again, not wanting to worry her wolf about his master's safety. And besides, even though she still was his precious girl and he still cared for her, he couldn't let that show too much if front of... well, everyone.

When Vulcan got close her wolf pinned it's ears back but let him sniff for a few seconds before starting to growl. "I'd back away Vulcan." She moved her hand back down to her side and the wolf barked and then bared it's fangs. ~You lost your right to be concerned. ~Is what she wanted to say but refrained herself from doing so

When he moved away and she told him to back away he furrowed his brows, even though that didn't really show much on his wolf form. Seeing in her eyes that she meant what she said, he opened his mouth slightly to say something but instead just looked away. He felt ashamed and couldn't look into her eyes for if he did, he might try and apologize. And he couldn't allow himself to do that now and he knew it wouldn't be accepted.

Every single word he heard today was all about him. And the bad thing was that it was all true. He did kill innocents and he was not proud of it. "I'm leaving." That was all he said. As much as he wanted to be with Kytha again, he couldn't. He created a blood knife that will make him teleport outside the dome.

He accurately threw the blood knife out of the dome and made him land a few meters away from Rosalyn and with the stray dog. Claiyre raced up to Hayden and continued growling at the dog. "Let's go, Rose." He said.

Seeing Hayden come from nowhere surprised Rosalyn. When he said they where leaving her eyes narrowed. "No we are not. You didn't finish your end of the deal." Rosalyn had no idea what happened in there but she got him in. She did her part of the deal and now it was his turn to pay up.

When Hayden left , Amelie felt a huge relief off her shoulder. Yes it was bad that he was still free but as of now everyone here was safe. Her wolf stopped growling and it's ear perked up. It sat down in front of it's master. The main threat was gone, the only thing left was what to do with the rebels and Vulcan. Yes, Vulcan may have left them but she refuses to think of him as a rebel. "Well, now what will you guys do without your killer?"

Hayden glared at Rosalyn and pointed at the dome. "You wanna know what's in there, Rose? CHAOS! We're leaving and going to find another way to find your person, alright?" His tone rose up. His piranha tentacles now was taunting the stray dog.

"Hayden..." She whispered. Why? Don't do this to me. Please. She snarled at Amelie. "Shut up. We don't need him. We have each other. Why don't you go off and run to your little leader. Or do you want a fight still. Because this isn't one I will be starting. I can stand here for days on end. But remember, for all I know my brother could be dead so why don't we finish up here then I'll bring him some nutrition that you deprive your prisoners from hm?" Her eyes became hollow. Why did he leave? Did he even care anymore? What happened to her old Hayden. The one who protected her more than Vulcan had. The first man she really liked. What had they done to him?

Toron shook in the corner of his cell. His vision had been blurring in and out for the past couple hours. He was so deprived. His voice wouldn't even come out any more. He knew this may be his last couple hours. And he was spending it thinking of his sister. She didn't even know he had been sent here did she? Suddenly everything went black and he panicked. His breath caught and he knew he was going to starve to death. He got his vision and breathing back after what was 15 seconds but it felt like eternity. "Kytha.." His mouth only moved. No sound came out.

Vulcan was visibly surprised that Hayden suddenly decided to leave. That wasn't like him. He didn't just... leave. The old Hayden they knew first sucked the life out of everything that moved, then left. Not that he was complaining. It was the complete opposite. He let out an internal sigh of relieve but didn't let it show. Their greatest concern was gone. And now that also the greatest danger was gone, Vulcan wasn't as concerned for Amelie's safety. What was left here to do was a peaceful negotiation. "She's right, Amelie. Toron is just a boy. He won't last long in solitary and it's already been almost three days." he explained kindly. Kytha had lost every connection to her family except this one young boy. They needed each other. And if something happened to him, if she lost him as well, now that would be the moment in which she would lose every last patience and they would risk getting a second Hayden.

"The only people who die in solitary are the ones that refuse to eat. Larassa knows exactly what she is doing and have you ever seen me kill someone Vulcan?"In a way it was insulting for him to even say that. Was he not listening to what she was saying? Yes Amelie hated Toron but she wasn't going to let him die. "If anything it was Hayden's fault if he does die. Larassa didn't have time when she got back to deal with him because of the threat looming over our heads and now it's because of you guys." She wished Alpha was here. That girl always knew how to remedy a situation like this, she had a way with Vulcan and could probably sway thee hearts of the others.

Vulcan didn't respond to her first answer. Yes, he hadn't seen her kill anyone, maybe because they haven't even been in the field before. And who was he to judge. He was a contract killer before everything happened, he has killed more than probably any agent here. "And do you really believe that we'll just leave him here? Oh, I'm sure you'll send Larassa to him the moment we are gone." he said. Toron and him didn't have the best of relationship for good reasons. He was doing this for Kytha.

Kytha smirked. "I don't know if you are amusing me, or making me want to rip you apart limb by limb. Toron is 14. He won't be able to survive those three or four days you deprive him. Either you send someone to give him food or I will do it myself. I'm not letting you take him out of my life like you did with Vulcan. If you are so intent on ending this, do it! C'mon Elsa. Fight me."

Amelie started to laugh at what Kytha said, her wolf cocked it's head to the side. "14? You think he won't be able to survive at 14? I've been apart of this agency since I was 11 and the training we go through makes it berable to go through something like that and we aren't stupidm You take us as fools as if we don't know what we are doing." She turned to face Vulcan. "And you, I'm surprised you even want to help him after what he did." Her wolf stood back up on all fours it was starting to get impatient form standing still for so long.

Vulcan supposed the boy would be fine. He had spent his own childhood out in the streets, starving for many days, drinking dirty water from puddles, feeding off garbage and the occasional stray animal or rat. But being caged in a tiny, cold and dirty cell took its toll on you. No doubt did he also try to find a way to escape, losing valuable energy and calories. But he couldn't say that. He couldn't just turn his back on him. Kytha wouldn't leave without her brother anyways. "I can't say I didn't deserve some of the things he told me. I'm not a good man, Amelie. You of all the people should know this." he said in a low quiet voice. "This is a fight that can be avoided and you know we won't back away if there's even the slightest chance to get a brother in arms out of here."

Tucker kept his mouth shut while everyone argued, finding that he really had no words to say that either weren't already said out loud or would be useless to say in the moment anyhow. He could easily break Toron out of solitary with his speed, even phase himself into Toron's cell. But he didn't have the agent watch to open the door and he could only phase himself through objects, not others. As of now, he was of no use. He wanted more than anything to just pick Kytha up and run out of the dome with her in his hands, but he knew she'd never forgive him if they left Toron here. They'd have to get him out first. Somehow. Yet, upon seeing Hayden teleport himself away, Tucker realized with a start that he was now probably the only reason nobody was starting a fight. Tucker could incapacitate everyone in the area within a couple minutes, which would negate any chance of them being taken down by force.

Larassa listened to all of the arguments with slight amusement, not really caring what everyone had to say. It was simple, they needed Hayden dead and the prisoners back in their cells. Why weren't they acting already? Upon hearing Hayden saying he was done here, Larassa snarled and took a threatening step towards him, but he'd already teleported himself away. Who knows where either. Whipping around to face Amelie, Larassa then said sharply, "We need to find Hayden ASAP. Now everyone's endangered all over again!"

Outside of the dome, Piper let out a surprised yelp when Hayden seemingly appeared out of no where. Backpedalling, Piper then halted and narrowed her eyes when Hayden said he was leaving. Like hell he was. Snarling at the wyrm thing again, Piper stood up confidently, her fur standing on end and her teeth baring. Hayden wasn't going anywhere and he sure as hell wasn't going to live another day to kill more innocent lives. Not on Piper's watch. Ignoring the weird tentacle things on Hayden, Piper realized what her best option was now. Problem was, she needed more room. Turning tail, seemingly running away from the fight, Piper then began sprinting away, making sure she was at least four hundred meters away from Hayden and Rosalyn before she skidded to a halt and turned around to face the pair. Closing her eyes, Piper imagined her dragon form and then she slowly began to shift, her bones snapping and her muscles tearing, as her body slowly began to shift from a stray dog to an immense, red dragon form. When the shifting was done, Piper slowly opened her eyes and then took a step towards Hayden and Rosalyn before letting out her signature, ear-piercing roar at them, though it was mostly directed at Hayden. Now that Piper was in her dragon form, Hayden would no doubt recognize her from the city attack before.
