Personality:
- Bit of a Rebel: Her chaotic nature is characterized by an innate rebellion against unjust authority. She's the first to challenge oppressive systems and traditions, viewing them as constraints that hinder the freedom of individuals. Her own experiences have taught her the importance of breaking the chains that bind others
- Resilient Defender: Her past traumas have made her strong and unyielding in the face of adversity. It compels her to protect those who cannot protect themselves. She's known to intervene on behalf of captives and prisoners, offering them a chance at freedom and a fresh start. Her dark past fuels her empathy for those caught in the crossfire of piracy, or who have simply had a shit hand dealt in life. Often, her willingness to help others instills a deep loyalty to within them and is the reason behind most of her crew sticking around.
- While Athena's nature guides her to noble ends, she's willing to employ less conventional means to achieve them. She believes that her dark methods are justified if they lead to the greater good, and she's unapologetic about bending rules to see justice served. She is a pirate after all.
Duelist: In the heat of battle, Athena wields her cutlass like a maestro conducting a sinister symphony. Her movements are a dance of death, each strike carefully orchestrated to culminate in a crescendo of destruction. Her mastery of the rapier is a reflection of her dark nature — calculated, precise, and devastatingly effective, leaving her adversaries awestruck by the ruthless grace with which she commands her weapon.
Mind Games: Beyond the physical techniques, Athena uses psychological tactics to disarm her opponents. Her eyes, cold and unwavering, hold a chilling intensity that unnerves those who meet her gaze. She projects an air of confidence that unsettles her adversaries, making them question their own abilities.

Background:
Born amidst the coral gardens , Sedna's origins are as mysterious as the ancient depths that cradled them. They emerged from the womb of the sea, their existence marked by an enigmatic birthright intertwined with the lore of the oceans. From an early age, they possessed an insatiable curiosity, an unquenchable thirst to understand the realms beyond their aquatic sanctuary.
As they ventured closer to the world above, Sedna's fascination with humanity grew. The tales of sailors and mariners who dared to breach the surface ignited a yearning within them to comprehend the intricacies of human emotions, ambitions, and vulnerabilities. Even amongst their own, they often felt off. It became less of a fascination to learn, and more of how they might eradicate such a species. Every idea, thought, and discussion they had were often met with contempt, amusement or disdain from the elder merfolk. Sedna knew from the beginning merfolk were superior in every possible way to their disgusting surface counterparts.
Sedna's heart, once curious and hopeful for the merkingdom, turned bitter with each rejection.
Personality
Beneath Sedna's enchanting exterior lies a personality as complex as the ocean's depths. Their beauty is a veneer, a mask that veils a manipulative and calculating nature. With eyes that hold a mesmerizing allure, they possess an uncanny ability to read the emotions and desires of others, using this insight as a way to recognize any weakness's in their prey.
Sedna's words flow like the currents, beguiling and deceiving with every phrase. They are a master of weaving intricate webs of manipulation, their voice a siren's call that entices, intrigues, and ensnares. Behind their enchanting melodies, lies a ruthlessness that belies their mercurial charm.
Their predilection for hunting humans goes beyond mere instinct—it is a manifestation of their desire to dominate and control. The thrill of the chase, the anticipation that flickers in their eyes, fuels a darker passion that few dare to confront. In the labyrinthine depths of their mind, they revel in orchestrating games of manipulation, relishing the power they wield over those who cross their path. Viciousness is a trait hidden beneath the surface, concealed by their enigmatic charm. When crossed, when their whims are not catered to, their smile twists into a chilling smirk, and their demeanor turns sharp as a reef's edge. They do not shy away from using their captivating presence to exploit weaknesses, to pit individuals against each other, and to manipulate emotions to their advantage.
Within the dark currents of Sedna's enigmatic abilities lies a power that twists the very fabric of identity—a power they call the "Veil" Born from their insatiable hunger for control and revenge, this power enables Sedna to shapeshift into the forms of those they have hunted and consumed, a macabre and manipulative skill that further solidifies their dominion over those who cross their path.
When Sedna devours their quarry, a profound connection is forged between their essence and that of the consumed. This connection allows them to tap into the memories, thoughts, and experiences of their victims, an intimate bond that grants them unprecedented insight into the lives they have claimed. It is through this connection that the Veil is woven—a dark sorcery that lets Sedna step into the very skin of those they have taken.
The transformation is not merely physical; it is a symphony of senses, emotions, and histories. As they enact the shapeshifting, Sedna becomes a perfect mimic of their victim, from their appearance and voice to their mannerisms and memories. It is as if they absorb a person's essence, stepping into their life like a phantom with intimate knowledge of every secret, hope, and fear.
This power serves Sedna's twisted agenda in two ways: First, it is a tool of deception, allowing them to infiltrate human societies or unsuspecting ships, their guise so flawless that none suspect their true nature. Second, it is a method of psychological manipulation, as they can exploit their knowledge of a victim's past to extract information, sow discord, or manipulate emotions with devastating precision.
But the Veil comes at a cost—a toll exacted from Sedna's own psyche. The echoes of the consumed linger within them, like whispers in the darkness, threatening to blur the line between predator and prey. Each transformation erodes a part of their identity, leaving behind fragments of those they have consumed. The veil between their true self and the personas they adopt becomes thin, and the boundary between control and chaos becomes ever more tenuous.
Sedna also carries many of the same traits and abilities of other merfolk. Including manipulation of water and communication with most sea creatures.
